This animatic so elegantly and simply translates the tone of the clips and the Minecraft blockiness into easily understandable and readable artwork! If someone who has never seen double life saw this they could easily pick up the gimmick of the series-- and that it's based in minecraft,
you're not afraid to animate pauses between dialogue and silences which is something I noticed with the mumbo vault animatic as well, it's a great strength to have :D this is one of the best hermit animatics I've seen !

I don't know if anyone else has mentioned this, but I adore the way you drew Scar's skin with Jellie on his head! The way he scares G with it translates well through the drawing, and the way Scar looks out from under the cloak is a really nice touch.

This is amazing, thank you for putting in the time and effort needed to crest something this glorious. I'm actually impressed that Scar didn't die in the first episode. Scar is such a klutz, airheaded, superchill guy it makes perfect sense to have him use a cane and everyone has to look out for him as he mindlessly fumbles around! Its hilarious. That touch of having him use the cane as an anchor to stop Grian from draggin him away, just perfection!

First part of the sheer panic for needing to eat to regain health was so spot on. Everyone just kind a dropped what they were doing and threw stuff at Grian cause they could tell it was a huge panic moment.

I love this so much XD The expressions and timing is so perfect and I really like how you showed certain ways Grian tested to see if Scar took damage (like chucking pebbles at his head)

This was wonderful! I love how you represented different things (like the pandas and the hearts on the arm), and the expressions were all so fun!

I remember at the very start of the series saying to myself, "wouldn't it be funny if Scar and Grian shared their lives?"
I meant it as a joke because of all the shenanigans that occur between the two of them, and Scar's tendency to die often. I didn't actually think it would happen. I fully expected to be wrong lol.

I could watch this over and over. Absolutely beautiful. So expressive, and the artistic liberty you took with the scenes was absolutely perfect! It didn’t pull away from the original scenes too much, but you added your own flair. My favorites were scar unleashing a hoard of jellies from under his cloak and Grian dragging scar into a tree as he explains everything. Brilliant work.

oh this is my new favorite animatic EVER!! the style and designs and expressions are all fantastic, but my absolute FAVORITE thing is the way that you interpret minecraft in-game actions!! theyre all so unique and absolutely DELIGHTFUL to watch!! :D i just keep rewatching it and looking at all of the actions - the rope, climbing into the boat, throwing pebbles, whispering behind the shield. it's all so great!!!!

"So what was the 'No' for?" and Grian trying his best to not vent out on frustration... You can hear he is trying sooo hard to not break down. His memories from the previous season really took a toll on his will to keep Scar from doing dumb things like going everywhere with just a couple of hearts and tempting the end of the series.

The more I see these scenes the more convinced I am that Scar was COMPLETELY aware of it from the same moment Grian found out, but he’s just staying in character at this point…and wanted to troll Grian. He’s playing too conveniently distracted every time he should find out. I know it’s Scar and unawareness is his thing, I think he’s leaning into it on purpose and for the content.
I’m currently about 75% convinced he’s improvised acting. Doing it well as well. “And what was the no for?” I MEAN…
1. That’s hilarious.
2. It gives away that he’s playing dumb.
