Persona 3 was the first game I played after graduating High school. Good memories with this one.
Persona 4 was the first game I played after graduating High School lmao. The persona series is such a perfect choice to play after graduating because of its high school setting.

8 years ago I was in a major depressive episode after graduating high school, going so far as to attempt suicide. A friend that knows I would use gaming as a form of escapism had gifted me Persona 3 Portable telling me "It's themes will cheer me up".
I eventually beat it, saw what he meant by the prevalent theme of facing death head on, and I credit this game for helping me overcome one of the worst stages of my life.
That's how I feel about Persona 4. I was really going through it when I played that game and I lost myself in it. I felt like the investigation team were real, they were actually my friends that I would hang out with at Junes. It allowed me to escape from my horrible reality at the time. I played p3p right after that and enjoyed it but nothing will ever compare to how I related to p4 in that specific time in my life.

One of my favorite games of all time. It has the best story and atmosphere of any Persona game in my opinion.
Definitely the best character development of any modern persona.

This is still my personal favorite Persona game. I played it over a decade ago and still to this day from all the Persona games it has had the largest effect to how am in life. Made me value my interactions with other people more.
It was also kind of fitting that I was playing this game in my early years of college while I was living in a dorm.

I just started P3 literally like 2 weeks ago. Currently 50 hours in, and I can confidently say that I will be getting this remake when it comes out. Such a good game.

Even though they already remade animations for Makoto in P5R, I love how they redid his basic slashes at 0:39 to have more weight and exaggeration. Just really shows how much love they put into this remake!

I started with P3P, it was my first introduction to the series, and man, many a night where I stayed up late playing it during a dark time in my life. Safe to say, I've got a big sweet spot for this game and am looking forward to nabbing it!

The "water menu transition" fit perfectly, its related to the recurring theme of persona which represent "the sea of soul"
Persona 3 is to me peak Persona and I'm so excited to see this come out. Sometimes it does fall into the 'I am 13 and this is deep' trap, but it never undermined itself (like 5 does...) and the story flows organically from nihilistic depression into existential triumph.
I know 4 is not that old, but some day I'd love to see a remaster of that too. In some ways the story is even tighter than 3 with the "fog of ignorance" and social links directly playing into the theme of reaching ultimate truth by breaking free of your own individual perceptions, but *my god the dungeons are ugly* and painful to navigate. I remember wishing I was playing on an emulator so I could accelerate through the dungeon.
Persona 3 is one of the greatest games of all time, I’m so happy it is finally getting a definitive remake with updated visuals and UI similar to P5

Despite playing the other persona and the difference with the graphics. P3 is still the best for me since the coolness of Makoto is still the best.

P3 is by far my favourite Persona game. I loved everything about it and I'm so happy it's getting a remake, looks better than I ever could have hoped.

Im just wondering if the girl mc will be in it somehow and will the plot change in any way? If so, I hope Shinji can optionally survive and I hope the mc door plot from FES gets explored more, to where maybe we can save mc from that terrible fate.

They are not taking the extra chapter from FES or the female protagonist. They are too lazy for it or they want to sell that later,knowing Atlus those 2 are the most viable options,the second one probably,they LOVE to sell games unfinished so they can re-release them later
Persona 3 holds a special place in my heart. 9 year old me wakes up in the middle of the night to drink water, hears Mass Destruction, finds dad playing on the PS2 in the living room, sits to watch and the rest is history. I had already played DQ VIII by then but that night truly made certain JRPGs would be my favorite genre.

Damn, it looks so good, especially the menus. The Persona 5 influence is pretty obvious, but since that game is pretty much the gold standard for visually pleasing user interface, I'm very satisfied with this. And it doesn't take anything away from the P3 charm. Instant GOTY candidate for 2024 right here.
As someone who was introduced to the Persona franchise with P5, I'm so hyped for this. I've heard so many good things about P3, but I really didn't like the static, dialogue-only style of Portable. Even though it's most likely coming to PlayStation as well, fingers crossed!

I LOVE Persona 3 so much. I played this back on the PS2 and have been a SMT fan ever since. I can't WAIT to play this remake, it looks like it'll be faithful to the themes and characters while also being different to justify its existance instead of just being a frame-for-frame rehash. I can't wait for this. Really hope it comes to PS4 (or at least PS5 so I have another reason besides FFVII to finally buy a PS5 lol)
Looks like Microsoft got an exclusivity deal. It'll probably get ports to other systems in a few years once the deal expires, just like P5.

I AM FLOATING RIGHT NOW! POSSIBLY MY FAVORITE PERSONA GAME GETTING A FULL REMAKE/REMASTER WITH WAY BETTER GRAPHICS. The only things that can get me more hyped for this are 1, FemPC story being confirmed aswell, and 2, I NEED ALL THE VOICE ACTORS TO REPRISE! I'll be happy as shit if Vic gets called back into voice Junpei probably most of all, but THE REST OF THIS VOICE CAST ARE GOATS OF MY CHILDHOOD. All stand outs of Voice Acting from back in the day, and it would not be the same without them!
I hope the cast of the original reprise their roles such as Yuri Lowenthal (Makoto), Michelle Ruff (Yukari), Karen Strassman (Aigis), and Vic Mignogna (Junpei). Speaking of whom I mentioned last, I hope he gets back to voice acting.

I bought this game in high school thinking it was the one with Nyarlathotep, and I wouldn't have it any other way. God I'm so excited to see how they remake this-- I hope it's not just the base game and actually tackles The Answer, even in a new form... it would just be weird to have the "Definitive Version" of P3 and _not_ have Metis or any of that lore/reveals, as controversial as the mode was

I love Persona 3 and 4 over 5! Better stage and plot and loveable-less irritating characters! I need to get myself into playing the first and second. Vintage JRPGs are so more memorable and classic I've always noticed and the same can be said with anime of course. The golden ages 80s, 90s and late 20th century media!

I just hope they keep The Answer campaign and rebalance it so that more people will bother to play it, since it is 100% canon to the series' overarching plot, unlike the FEMC route.
The lack of a compendium, the game being locked into Hard difficulty, and regular battles being such a slog and accruing so little EXP are some of the most basic reasons as to why a very small percentage of the playerbase actually completed (let alone touched) The Answer.

So pumped for this I was really excited when they released the old versions but something told me to wait. Can't wait definitely a win for people on gamepass but I feel the xbox community still won't support this sadly.

I love this. I hope that this game is simply not just a "remastered version" of Persona 3 and can hava some slight changes that makes this game a true "remake". There are ideas that they could put into this remake: Having improved dialouge of the characters in the story. Improved social links. Allowing a Female Protagonist Option. Having the Answer be added to the game. Have another bad ending in the game. Have a true ending where the Protagonist somehow lives after performing the miracle. Or have a postgame DLC game added to this game where maybe the Protagonist is revived after performing the miracle. The posibilities are endless and we'll only have to find out next year when Persona 3 Reload is released!
The Answer (imo) was just not that good, I honestly think it'll damage the ending. Female MC might be there, considering they removed the anime cutscenes (so they can just swap the models instead of making 2 versions of a 2D animated cutscene). Considering Persona 5's social links/confidants being the definitive version of the mechanic, I think they'll do the same thing here and give abilities to it other than just fusion bonuses. I personally don't like having the protagonist live, but I think they'll add something new.

It would suck if this game was only a remaster of the original game, but then again this is ATLUS we are talking about here. Hopefully there will be changes made. I kind of actually hope there is DLC episodes of the game like the Answer or perhaps an original one where the Protagonist resurrects some time period in the future. I honlestly think the Original The Answer is very deflating and could use massive improvements as well. And I actually think if they made a DLC episode of the Protagonist resurrecting after performing his miracle, that would make the game more interesting and give us a whole new ending to the game. But like I said these are all just ideas on how to make it a true remake.
This needs to be the DEFINITIVE experience of this game. It NEEDS FeMC, The Answer, all of it in one complete package!

Hoping this does well so that Persona 2 can get remade next. If nothing else, just hope we are not spending most of the time in Tartarus, after the palaces in 5 it will be hard to go back to just one very long tower for the most part. Also hope they get the majority of the old dub actors back...they were back as recently as the dance game so aside from Vic Migona hope the rest of them can reprise there roles and we don't get a FF7 remake situation.
If they remake anything, won’t it be 4? I can see them maybe porting P2 as is to modern systems, but even then there’s the weird thing of there being two different English voice casts and a not very cohesive UI and battle system between the two PSP games

After wanting this for so long and wishing we had the good parts of FES and P3P, it still doesn't feel real that it's actually coming out. No words can describe how happy I am that we get to see this.
As long as it also includes the FES content, then yes, this is going to be very very very very very nice. Otherwise, just very nice
