I'm happy to see Ben Affleck directing a movie again. I'm a huge fan of his previous directing work especially The Town which imo is the best Bank Robbery movie since Heat so yeah I'm definitely excited to see Air. In my opinion he's a far better director than he is as an actor although I do like him as an actor but him as director is just amazing
The Town's fantastic. The bank heist scenes are still exciting, and I've seen the movie a dozen times
He did well with Argo as well. But I agree, he’s as good a director as he is an actor and I really think he’s a brilliant actor.

"Air" - Oh my God, this film was absolutely spectacular! I savored every second to the fullest. Born in 1984 and growing up with Jordan, I remember that wonderful time. The film itself, the impressive set, and the meticulously crafted props created such an authentic atmosphere - and the sound, I adore that music. The actors delivered a fantastic performance, truly impressive. This film transported me back to the good old days, and I want to emphasize, the truly good old days. It was a true treat to watch this film; it truly soothed my soul. This will undoubtedly be a film that one enjoys watching multiple times. The story is truly magnificent and executed perfectly. A heartfelt thank you for this exceptional film!

Affleck's movies are good. Damon - meh. I agree with Kimmel. When Damon is with another great actor the movie is great, when he is solo you get movies like 'The Zoo' 😛

This looks like a great movie. I was a huge basketball ball fan in my youth. Phil Jackson was a crazy coach. Everytime he coached, you knew Phil was bringing the drama.
Great interview! I especially love the way Ben describes the admiration and understanding he has of the dynamics of the grandeur of the whole scenario of a young African American man thrust into that world of fame and how well the Jordan's handled it. Sounds like the movie will be very entertaining cant wait to see it.

I listen to Smartless all the time and Ben was on it this week and I genuinely thought he would be grumpy but my God was I soooo wrong. He was adorable, kind, humble, absolutely hilarious, and really loving guy. He is such a nice person and I love him and he was wife together.

I just watched the movie (it came out early in my country) and goddamn was it fun to watch ! Being a kid of the 80's and having witnessed the greatness that was the MJ era, this movie put a big smile on my face !
I like that Ben let's us in on so much of the behind the scenes trade secrets. He did that when talking to drew barrymore too about how much he made making goodwill hunting.

Ben Affleck is an interesting guy. But he’s also very talented when he stays in his lane. He builds up his career making his own movies, then attaches himself to huge IP(s) like Sum of All Fears, or Daredevil, then loses all juice. Then he rebuilds his career with movies like “The Town” or “Argo”, then becomes Batman. It’s like he wants to be the ultimate alpha leading man. Matt Damon in my opinion has always had the chameleon trait instead which lets him jump into anything.
