I remeber his promotion for Epson Eco Tanks. We had a life size cutout of him in the front of our store for years. Don't know how many times I showed up half awake at 6 am and had the shit scared out of when I saw it standing there in the dark
@A.m P.m I just got a ticket for speeding yesterday. I was upset, but I remained respectful while interacting with them and waited to be mad until after they were gone. It’s just about self control. You can be upset about the circumstances but there is no need to be an ass to someone doing their job.
I mean.. Tbh.. Thats a part of their job and how they get paid. And in their life.. They gonna get more than a dozen of advertisement deals that turn out to be a scam. Thats just pretty much unavoidable.
FTX was as legit as it got. This shocked everyone. Most of the crypto FUD concerns Binance, Tether, etc. SBF got in bed with the right guys, including Gensler. There’s no reason to believe Shaq had any knowledge of this. Because no one did, outside of the Alameda inner orgy circle.
@Adam Just yes but he’s still liable for not having done enough research. That’s the bottom line. He got tricked and now pays the price. If they get him they get him. Nothing is stopping the gov or the law.
It heralds back to olden times where lords are served in person it also benefits landowners because they can just have private property and only landowners have real rights to security in the US.
Not saying it's the same, but a drug pusher gets jailed for "just doing their job". My point isn't that this person necessarily did something wrong, but that "just doing their job" isn't justification.
@LegendStormcrow no doubt but she got a lot of money from ftx that was a fraudulent business and she should have to return it to the investors who got ripped off.
Idk if they'll actually get anything from Shaq, Brady, etc.. They were just promoting the company. These lawyers have to prove that the celebrities who endorsed/promoted FTX had knowledge of the scam and the intent to scam. This is a waste of time.
@Alex Grinage paid more attention to what you’re promoting? Like it’s really not hard to research a company and their message for what they’re representing as a company. Just dont be negligent and you’ll never deal with a scam LMAO
How the hell can you scam people when you don't know it's a scam most people who invested in this didn't know what was going on and for what it's worth from what I've seen even I thought it was a legit thing
@Arctic Angel I mean, that's what being responsible is for, if you accidentally committed a crime, saying "Oh I didn't know" isn't an excuse that will work in court as He was part of the problem that increased the number of FTX victims by helping to promote it. If he had done any research at all, he wouldn've known that FTX or any crypto exchanges is as shady as it gets.
You have a lot of cars - you enjoy driving them, you have a lot of girlfriends - you enjoy them, you have a lot of money - you enjoy having it. I don't think greed had anything to do with it. You just can't understand - neither can I.
I’m not a lawyer but I would guess Shaq was a little more involved than just being paid to promote to company. If they gave him a share of the company, let’s say 1%, that’s different than just promoting it. If you own a share of a fraudulent company, and you promote a fraudulent company, that makes you guilty of fraud. Secondly he has a lot of money, which makes him a prime target for lawyers looking to recoup losses for clients, who lost money from something shaq promoted.
That’s like saying if you bought a share of Microsoft and was paid to endorse it only to find out that they employed child labour then you are liable, that’s not how it works.
Wrong. Your comment is such a cliché. It will be funny as hell when they lock him up. He's done. There is zero chance he walks but there's always someone that make this claim whenever a rich high profile individual is charged with a crime.
Shaq has always impressed me as a quality person. Everytime he talks "business" he seems to have done the research, so this surprises me that this one got past him
Bro it got past a lot of people. It was really difficult to know what was really going on. Most of the celebrities that had connections with FTX barely know what a crypto is and even if they knew no one had any idea what was going on.
@Guy Hall anyone with a high emotional IQ, or an education in behavioral psychology, can see right through him. Dude has serious control and narcissism issues.
Not to mention this kids missing the point entirely. Endorsing something you believe to be a honest and fair company shouldn't be your fault if it turns out to be a scam. These celebrities don't deserve to get sued. The actually higher ups of the company should be jailed
@Petr123 paco causing a disturbance. Most places have the right of refusal anyway. Shaq was technically working. Doing so during operating hours is enough to qualify as one. The guy wouldn't be able to sue because stuff like this is covered in the ticket sales.
First off their assets were always separated! Rich people that rich NEVER co-mingle their assets and cash! 2nd the law suit’s against celebrities who got paid to promote XTF are frivolous and will be tossed out! The celebrities had no clue what was going on any one of them would never risk their assets or reputation doing anything that shady too many people that handle them would never let them do it, if they were in on the scam. They did not do anything wrong by being paid to promote XTF, just like if Pepsi went to them they do not know Pepsi’s business they are not apart of Pepsi’s business plan. It’s amazing how stupid people are that just say shit they have no idea what they are talking about!
He’s worth 400 million dollars he has security guards and personal drivers that drive him to his gated estates that you can’t enter. Would be pretty hard.
Shaq has been one of the nicest athletes in history! It's highly unlikely there was anything nefarious going on. He probably felt it was a good company same way millions of people buy stocks that are recommended and lose money!
It's nonsense that they are liable for simply doing endorsements. People should be accountable for their own actions. It's not like Shaq scammed or forced anyone to get involved with FTX
@Brian Hallman Nah, this case is gonna be a near impossible case for the plaintiff. Definition of fraud is intent to deceive. It’s going to be impossibly difficult for them to prove that Shaq knew and purposely decided to mislead the people
If he refused I'm sure the server drop served him. Which means that he responded verbally to "Hey Shaq!" Or something of the like and even if the man refused, you drop the documents at his feet and let him know he has been served and has 20 days to respond to the courts. That's called a drop serve. It counts as good service.
So they are suing the celebrities that have no idea what’s going on behind the scene for being “scammers” but the actual criminals that did understand what they were doing are still walking free ?!? Man our society is dumb
@Conquest Whatever, facing a possible 115 years in prison, facing charges up to 115 years, wrote it too quickly. To say that the actual criminals walk free is ridiculous.. defrauding investors get you in trouble. Look at Bernie Madoff.
Word, that’s crazy..you kno the heat will have a reason why they can kick him out..say something like you can’t be in there doing legal stuff or something..
They reserve the right to kick you out. You pay for a share of a time to watch a game. If your stupid and break rules (approaching Shaq). LOOKS LIKE COURTSIDE. Is breaking the rules, your case wouldn’t even make it to a courtroom
This may seem strange but generally all venues, public private or otherwise, reserve the right of admission. This means you can be turned away at any point without reason. Rest assured there is very much a reason, legally the reason need not be stated at the time of expulsion, nor ever mentioned in any legal proceedings. You have no right to be places as a customer, when you are not wanted. Carefully read your tickets. It is clearly stated.
To be fair, he was just a paid spokesman, he’s not responsible for what they did and unless he was aware of what was going on he shouldn’t be punished.
I really like Shaq. I think he is a good guy. But stand by your endorsements. You encouraged people to buy into that sham so you should be held liable.
@BabyElephant people still flocked to the company because of all the celebrity endorsements that it had. A person's word used to mean something. It used to have legal consequences and it still should now.
...who also endorsed a company that screwed over thousands of people for billions of dollars 😒. He's got $450 million, it's not like he needed the FTX money, he chose to shill for a scam company without due diligence and there's consequences for that.
@cloudface von ruckus Bro during the pandemic we saw him promoting multiple scams, insanely high margin lifestyle products. You can't get or stay rich by being generous or gentle 🗿
Going after these athletes over this is insane unless they were in on the plot. It just looks like they were being paid to sponsor the company. If Coke was caught putting something illegal in their soda would you arrest the actors from their commercials? Is there more to their involvement?
It was all shady, undisclosed and not transparent. These were not like cola adverts, unless Coca Cola slipped thousands in your back pocket and asked you to tweet about how great coke is without disclosing that they paid you to say it.
@Auxiliary Jack Coke isn't a Scam though, and accepting money from scammers unknowingly doesn't absolve you from paying back stolen money that you got paid with to sponsor them.
I mean what about all the other scams he endorsed during the pandemic or crypto schemes what about Jake Paul and the Kardashians and all the rich influencers selling alt coins lol
@Infernal Daedra damn did he really??? Wow how much money is Enough??? How come people aren't happy just being millionaire? You can't take it with you , hell I'd be happy just having my bills all paid so I can spend more time with my 3 very young children
@Infernal Daedra wow that was outta pocket,I don't claim to know everything but I do have a right to my opinion Im.only going by what others have said about him but if I'm wrong then the hell with him ! God bless you and your family though, push positivity and love because there's just way to much negativity and hate
@Jim Horton Sorry if it came off directed at you. The world is ever changing and we at least need to not put emotions before accountability to ourselves and others.
This is why I don't support any person I don't know. Watch them play basketball all day long but when the game stops, my attention to them stops. Kicking the guy out for doing an honest job shows some true character.
FTX did the advertising not the arena. FTX bought the ad space and placed their ads in it. We'll see if the celebrities will be held at fault for what they said.
@Eli sigmonat the end of the day he’s still a scam artist who acts like he’s always helping people when in reality, he’s just another greedy rich dude that goes on billionaire podcasts to talk to rich privileged folk all day
The lawyer has a safer investment in FTX Than thinking he can actually make money in that lawsuit. He has to prove that Shaq or these other celebs knew personally what SBF was doing with FTX to even have a chance
Shaq was paid to promote FTX. The company /individual paying celebrities/athletes to promote FTX is who is solely at fault legally. Shaq has only been served because he's got alot of money.
@Aaron Bruce “I was told too” is not what happened here. “I was paid to”, is more the case here. No one on earth promotes more products than Shaq. It’s not dick riding to tell facts. Just because we’re not on the “I’m poor and I’m a hater who hates the rich” hate train, doesn’t mean we’re dick riding. Stay mad
@Jolta Zeus that's a good argument but far from the reality. In this situation Shaq isn't even a soldier. He's more like some guy that a soldier said, hey, we'll give you some food if you tell your friends we're here to help. Then it turns out, the soldiers actually weren't there to help. Shaq couldn't have known that.
I love the fact that he was kicked out as if he was actually there to watch the game. Fact is, if you have legal business to be somewhere, you can be there. For instance, you can be trespass from city hall but if you have legal business there you're still allowed to go there so long as you do your business and leave, nothing more. If you are serving someone then you have legal business to be where they are. That doesn't mean you can sneak into their house in the middle of the night but that means if they are out in public somewhere then you can go there and serve them. That doesn't change the fact that they can kick that lawyer out but he doesn't have to leave until he's done serving Shaq. He wasn't there to watch the game, he gets to write that ticket off as a business expense and if he wasn't already going to leave after serving papers then he was more likely only stay because "Well, I bought the ticket"
Shaq did nothing wrong. He believed in FTX, invested in it himself, but was in no way responsible for the fraud, the negligence, or any of the losses from that.
You don't arrest a guy built like that unless he lets you, I mean look at him. I'm 6'6, 270lbs, and he's one of two men I don't think I could beat in a fight.
To be fair shaq will invest in anything if they put a picture of him next to their product
Yeah and to be fair most people believed that FTX was a solid company because of Sam’s frankly genius marketing.
Then he will spin it like he did it for a very heartfelt reason 😂
@thetake-geopolitics4961 hiss marketing from the beginning didn't make sense tho. It was just hopes
I remeber his promotion for Epson Eco Tanks. We had a life size cutout of him in the front of our store for years. Don't know how many times I showed up half awake at 6 am and had the shit scared out of when I saw it standing there in the dark
Shaq and Snoop Dog are the two celebrities who will never say no to a good payday. They'll endorse anything for a few thousand dollars
What did he do wrong?
Bro forgot about terry cruise selling out to Amazon.
We all will, including you
That kid who started ftx and stole all that money needs to be locked up
Drawn n quartered actually
Riiiiight. They'll get more money from the celebrity endorsers they're going after
Jewish last name, won't happen
You know his mom works for the SEC. His parents were most likely in on it as well. He will NEVER be prosecuted.
@logvoid be careful young man
The real crooks will never face any jail time
The owner of ftx and his gf who was in on it were both extradited back to the us to be prosecuted by the fbi so idk what you’ve been smoking
@Carson Anglebrandt yea prosecuted to live at his parents house
@Carson Anglebrandt extradited doesn’t mean shit. Only a conviction will change my mind
@John fulleridk if u know what extradited meand
@Carson Anglebrandt but all of the celebs in on it skating free
Wait till the General finds out, things are gonna get ugly.
The general has nuclear access codes 😮
You already know you already know general has it all the ads and crap it’s gonna be bad
Just call on the general and save some m***** f***** time. 🎉
Buying shaq was The General’s greatest marketing move of all time
The general not dropping Shaq cause of this 💀 he made them mfs
guy's heart must have been pounding lmfao
Probably not, if shaq got violent it would only be good for his case.
@Ignatius PennyFeather IX what case? 😂 You really think there is going to be a case.
@Infernal Daedra there’s already a case. And he just got served.
@ONEKAYKANA fair point.
You got served
You got served by the best, my friend.
"You've been serrrrved"
*Rogen Yoda*
I know what I'm re watching tonight 😆
@Dendrin Nomad check. I love that movie
I would’ve asked for a pic and an autograph and then served him 😂
Then get kicked out.!?!.... I approve, Worth It.!?!.🎉
Lol autograph the served papers for proof he got it
Ask for an autograph, hand him the papers, then when he asks what i handed him, inform him he’s been served
@Tactical Lemon service by deception like that will get the service thrown out.
@Scott Lemiere If you couldn’t trick people into taking the papers, you would never be able to serve anyone
dude is doing his job.
And millions were robbed
Do you get upset when you get a ticket or are you humble a say hey "they're just doing their job, it's my fault"?
@A.m P.m I just got a ticket for speeding yesterday. I was upset, but I remained respectful while interacting with them and waited to be mad until after they were gone. It’s just about self control. You can be upset about the circumstances but there is no need to be an ass to someone doing their job.
I love that serving papers is basically legally stalking someone.
i used to do process serving. id put the papers in a pizza box. nobody turns down a pizza. then id run as they were cursing me
Shaq literally has advertised dozens of scams in the last decade lmao
Really?? Freakin Shaq -_- I feel like he’s a good guy but idk.. what other scams has the dude promoted?
@Carlin Pendleton same wanna know
I mean.. Tbh.. Thats a part of their job and how they get paid.
And in their life.. They gonna get more than a dozen of advertisement deals that turn out to be a scam. Thats just pretty much unavoidable.
Source?
@Chhuanmawia KC I’m glad someone said it, dude is probably just as pissed that his name is tied to it now
come on shaq. got him kicked out. Love shaq but ftx was a scam and the rich just wanted to get richer at everyone elses expense.
Yeah but no one knew. promoters didn’t know and ftx isn’t unlike a regular bank
@Xithrthat's a very stupid statement...No one knew
Considering Shaq's personality, of course he was petty enough to kick him out.
It’s such a weird system that you have to physically hand someone papers before they can be sued.
Only way to make sure the person is aware.
It heralds back to olden times where lords are served in person it also benefits landowners because they can just have private property and only landowners have real rights to security in the US.
Kicking the kid out is unnecessary he’s just doing his job.
Not saying it's the same, but a drug pusher gets jailed for "just doing their job". My point isn't that this person necessarily did something wrong, but that "just doing their job" isn't justification.
@rivahkillah drug pushing isnt a job its a crime
@rivahkillahbootlicker detected, opinion discarded
Should have been banned for life also.
why kick him out, man bought a ticket and was doing his job
The shacks, a big big baby
Big baby throwing a fit
I won’t play if HES HERE!!! Mad shaq face
Dude did everything by the book and still got fucked over
Now they should go after Maxine waters for her role and make her give up the money she got.
They never will. She's got the OLD connections
@LegendStormcrow no doubt but she got a lot of money from ftx that was a fraudulent business and she should have to return it to the investors who got ripped off.
Why, now you want crypto to be regulated by the government? 😂😂
Idk if they'll actually get anything from Shaq, Brady, etc.. They were just promoting the company. These lawyers have to prove that the celebrities who endorsed/promoted FTX had knowledge of the scam and the intent to scam. This is a waste of time.
Yeah we all thought ftx okay its not his fault tbh
Not only that if anyone posted the ad without mentioning it being a ad then they can be held responsible in that manner
Greed often brings people to an unexpected encounter with reality…
Imagine paying for a ticket and getting kicked out because of paper
When "getting the bag" doesn't go to plan
I like Shaq but serves him right. Everyone involved should be held accountable regardless of how much you like the person.
How can they be held liable. What could they have done to fix it ?
@Alex Grinage paid more attention to what you’re promoting? Like it’s really not hard to research a company and their message for what they’re representing as a company.
Just dont be negligent and you’ll never deal with a scam LMAO
Can someone please explain what this is about the context. What did FTX do?
Hes got more money than could last him several lifetimes. This is just horrible horrible greed.
To be fair, fair is fair. "No autographs !! Won't work this time big boy."
Sam Bankman Freid and girlfriend need to be prosecuted exclusively.
Shaqs one of the most giving people of his stature. He isn't his fault for someone else's scams
Secondly he has a lot of money, which makes him a prime target for lawyers looking to recoup losses for clients, who lost money from something shaq promoted.
yup
That’s like saying if you bought a share of Microsoft and was paid to endorse it only to find out that they employed child labour then you are liable, that’s not how it works.
You are correct... that you're not a lawyer.
Sue all hedge funds .
For what?
@Kaeji Namitsua market manipulation
FTX was an exchange not a hedge fund
Damn Shaq should respect the fact he got the job done.
Edit: appreciate the likes, here’s a joke for you- What’s shaqs favorite cheese:
Kobe/Colby!
Kolbey 😂
How that Colby jack taste?
Yet SBF will walk
Sam is in the smolhat tribe
Wrong. Your comment is such a cliché. It will be funny as hell when they lock him up. He's done. There is zero chance he walks but there's always someone that make this claim whenever a rich high profile individual is charged with a crime.
@Commie HunterSmollhat Bignose Tribe strikes for the 109th time
Dude is going in for life before flipping…. Reducing to like 15
@mosher2001 think about the person with average intelligence. And know that this guy is probably below that. Of course, he makes a comment like this.
Everyone involved in promoting the scam FTX should get sued, no one excluded
Including third party recipients.
So the DNC?
Btw,what's it about?
@Br21277 boom! Nice shot
Hopefully he’ll learn to actually research these companies before he just takes the check
Everyone thought FTX was legit and it looked legit
Imagine serving Shaq and he says he's not Shaq lolololo
😂😂😂
Shaq's not the guy everyone pretends he is
How do you know what he is like
@Guy Hall anyone with a high emotional IQ, or an education in behavioral psychology, can see right through him. Dude has serious control and narcissism issues.
What type of guy is he since you seem to be an expert on Shaq.
Theyll not be happy, at the lodge.
This is a drop of water in the sea for them
They promoted a brand, yet the founder and owner of the brand walks. The “influencers” got played, it’s not their fault at all
@bluebyyou you travel?
OK, but he was in a dozen commercials next to a 2 foot general. He’ll endorse anything that gives him a check.
Shaq and other celebrity investors are victims as well.
These lawsuits are going no where😢
Should also sue him for the ticket price.
You would lose. You cannot prove that was the only legitimate way to reach him.
Not to mention this kids missing the point entirely. Endorsing something you believe to be a honest and fair company shouldn't be your fault if it turns out to be a scam. These celebrities don't deserve to get sued. The actually higher ups of the company should be jailed
@Zachary Green and the reason he got thrown out?
@Logan Bode he got paid, and nicely. Should do some research. Don't need to take every job do you?
@Petr123 paco causing a disturbance. Most places have the right of refusal anyway. Shaq was technically working. Doing so during operating hours is enough to qualify as one. The guy wouldn't be able to sue because stuff like this is covered in the ticket sales.
Hopefully they get every celebrity involved in the promotion of FTX
Joking right?
Was FTX the same TBrady was sued for & divorced Giselle to protect her assets ?
Yep!
Giselle left his ass because it was his idea and they got liquidated
@Adam Huber you're putting too much faith in these people
Buying shaq was The General’s greatest marketing move of all time
Everybody loves Shaq, I was worried for that guys safety
How in the hell could it be that hard to find and serve Shaq?
He’s worth 400 million dollars he has security guards and personal drivers that drive him to his gated estates that you can’t enter. Would be pretty hard.
@LOWS He works at a tv studio and he loves filming himself in department stores while buying things for people.
@jeffjaco69guards.
@LOWS big ass dude has security? I dont think so
Shaq will do anything for a Dollar
Shaq has been one of the nicest athletes in history! It's highly unlikely there was anything nefarious going on. He probably felt it was a good company same way millions of people buy stocks that are recommended and lose money!
Would have caught him a long time ago if it was at the Buffet line 😮
They all need to pay back people.
No what did he do wrong? And how would he know this would happen?
Shaq don’t gotta pay back shit.
Go after the actual criminals, not a guy that also got scammed but is popular.
He has nothing to pay back, like sueing ronald mcdonald and not mcdonalds 😂
I feel bad for Shaq but has done his due diligence like Taylor Swift. She turned down FTX and those crooks
Shaq should just accept the punishment. If he's such a "great" guy then why hate on the messenger? He didn't endorse a corrupt company, SHAQ DID.
Pineapple Express vibes 😂😂😂 “Are you Shaquille O’Neal the Orlando Magics #1 draft pick ? “ yeah “You’ve been served” 😊
What if he handed him the subpoenas in an gold bond bottle
How’s Shaq being sued when Bankman is responsible?
He promoted along with many others, during the suit we will learn whether or not he knew it was a scam.
Guilty by association.
@Ayeo SO, He is a Actor, You can't sue Actor for making a bad movie WTF...
@RussianGoldKing if the movie turned out to be a scam or illegal
Uh yes you can
The problem with everyone knowing who you are is that everyone knows who you are
The real question is, who are you?
A celebrity being a salty brat? No... it can't be!
It's nonsense that they are liable for simply doing endorsements. People should be accountable for their own actions. It's not like Shaq scammed or forced anyone to get involved with FTX
Shaq didn’t have that coming and yet he was prepared
He got served 😂
Best thing you can ignore then until police serve you
Shaq tells everyone that will listen that he’s a great businessman. 😮
He is. Have you seen his portfolio?
I love how the people who are supporting Shaq's best defense is that he's an idiot and he would never promote a scam lol.
Nice way to treat a servant of the court. The judge is gonna break it off in him lol.
Literally no one cares. He's as responsible for this bs as you would be if you owned.1 percent in a company that was guilty of these charges.
@Brian Hallman Nah, this case is gonna be a near impossible case for the plaintiff. Definition of fraud is intent to deceive. It’s going to be impossibly difficult for them to prove that Shaq knew and purposely decided to mislead the people
@Celes re read my comment. That's exactly what I said. It's called sarcasm 🤦♂️
No he won’t. Shaq has enough money that nothing will really ever happen to him. Just how our system works
Let's be honest if shaq ever gets arrested he won't even fit through the cell doors
Hell even the entrance
It's stupid how you can just run away from a lawsuit by refusing to allow anyone to serve you
Well they can. And you can have as many prostitutes or drugs as you want and as long as a camera is rolling it's just a normal production.
If he refused I'm sure the server drop served him. Which means that he responded verbally to "Hey Shaq!" Or something of the like and even if the man refused, you drop the documents at his feet and let him know he has been served and has 20 days to respond to the courts. That's called a drop serve. It counts as good service.
When a company has enough income, they pay the fines. Thats the law of the land.
That’s a horrible look on Shaq if that’s true
How tf is that a bad look 🤡
If Shaq got the guy kicked out of the arena for serving him with court papers, yeah that’s a bad look.
He promoted and told people ftx was new thing in digital currency and was going make billions.. he did commercials and promotions...
@SpaceRider soooo he was given a script to read sweet bro 🤡
@Whatever Whocares good on him for kicking him out
Aaron Carter staying surprisingly quiet.
Dude with the blonde hair looks like a real life Ken doll
Lol shaq will do anything if the money is right 😂
Ok and most of us will do anything for money and have done anything for money,
This man promotes literally everything
Lawyers are just parasites
Until you need one to prove your innocence or case.
So they are suing the celebrities that have no idea what’s going on behind the scene for being “scammers” but the actual criminals that did understand what they were doing are still walking free ?!? Man our society is dumb
The founder of FTX is facing 115 years in prison...
@Nedbryten he’s not “facing anything” he still needs to loose in court my guy
@Conquest Whatever, facing a possible 115 years in prison, facing charges up to 115 years, wrote it too quickly. To say that the actual criminals walk free is ridiculous.. defrauding investors get you in trouble. Look at Bernie Madoff.
@Nedbryten there’s a lot of fraudsters that’s gotten away with it too
If you really think shrek didn't know it was a scam.. you should be prosecuted along with him.
Shaq is a sellout and that's all. He'll ever be a sellout. When you get a taste of fame and money, that's all you'll ever want.
If i bought a ticket to the game and was kicked out for absolutely no reason, I'm now suing over that as well.
yup
Word, that’s crazy..you kno the heat will have a reason why they can kick him out..say something like you can’t be in there doing legal stuff or something..
They had a reason 😂
He's acting like a child
What if he fell for the said scam as well😅
@BabyElephant people still flocked to the company because of all the celebrity endorsements that it had. A person's word used to mean something. It used to have legal consequences and it still should now.
@Jake T that does answer the question but whatever go off sis
Shaq is sweet.
Trying to take down one of the most generous and gentle celebrities we have
...who also endorsed a company that screwed over thousands of people for billions of dollars 😒.
They dont care abt justice. Just there money.
It was all shady, undisclosed and not transparent.
These were not like cola adverts, unless Coca Cola slipped thousands in your back pocket and asked you to tweet about how great coke is without disclosing that they paid you to say it.
Accepting stolen money is one thing, sponsoring a company that actually makes a tangible product is another, apples and oranges.
@Auxiliary Jack Coke isn't a Scam though, and accepting money from scammers unknowingly doesn't absolve you from paying back stolen money that you got paid with to sponsor them.
Shaq invests in everything man
Shaq has helped so many people, I would be shocked if he intentionally hurt innocent people financially or physically
You're gullible
Imagine getting kick out of somewhere for doing your job… FU Shaq
This is why I don't support any person I don't know. Watch them play basketball all day long but when the game stops, my attention to them stops. Kicking the guy out for doing an honest job shows some true character.
How are they going to sue Shaq for being a pitch man? Do they think he knew it was a scam?
Shaq would never endorse a scam
company,and they won't get a
penny from Shaq.
@Kelly Smith he literally just endorsed a scam company... 😂
@Mark S I think what he’s trying to say is shaq would never knowingly endorse a scam
Doesn't matter, he'll have to pay back what he was paid, as it's all stolen money.
Imagine if Shaq went King Kong on his arse 😂😂
They need to introduce a system to force hard to reach people to come and take there papers
So shouldn’t the Miami heat get sued…their whole arena was literally advertising the site…
Meh people no longer pay for crimes in this country why should the heat be different 😂
FTX did the advertising not the arena. FTX bought the ad space and placed their ads in it. We'll see if the celebrities will be held at fault for what they said.
@Andy Leo Whoever owns the arena still put up the ad...so shouldn't every ad platform that promoted them be held liable.
This the same dude that preaches leadership and accountability running from the law because he promoted a scam
bros the biggest fake in the world i cant stand him
He’s not running from the law. It’s a lawsuit and avoiding being served is perfectly legal and extremely common.
@Eli sigmonat the end of the day he’s still a scam artist who acts like he’s always helping people when in reality, he’s just another greedy rich dude that goes on billionaire podcasts to talk to rich privileged folk all day
Tell those lawyers send $2,300.00 to my family we need it
The lawyer has a safer investment in FTX Than thinking he can actually make money in that lawsuit.
It goes with my argument of dont blame the soldier for following an order from someone behind a desk
Yall sure are dicriding the rich lol. And fyi - “I was told to do it” is not always a valid excuse.
Lawyer: omg are you Shaq?
Shaq: why yes I am
Lawyer: awesome, you've been served. *Hands papers*
Lawyers involved in a lawsuit can not serve the opposition in the lawsuit.
@Scott Lemiere are you telling me that a lawyer can hire a lawyer to serve papers? 😲
*can't
All the celebs like it's a decent product pinky promise 😮😂
Bankman should not be freed.
“🤓You’ve failed to trim the monkey tree that spills over onto your neighbors yard and for that…. 😎You’ve been served”
*rips joint* squeaker voice "you'veee been serrrvvvvvd"
Shaq did nothing wrong. He believed in FTX, invested in it himself, but was in no way responsible for the fraud, the negligence, or any of the losses from that.
You don't arrest a guy built like that unless he lets you, I mean look at him. I'm 6'6, 270lbs, and he's one of two men I don't think I could beat in a fight.
They are so far behind on this story. He has already been cleared completely.
Make him pay it all back
It’s already been seized
