Petition to get 5 minute long highlights from a Bo5 match. 3 minutes including a walk-on is insultingly short.
5 min if it gets to a 5th set..
3min its cool 4 me
@Leonardo Braynen no we need more
10 min long highlights please if its carlos alcaraz
Amen to that
@Phillip Liou YES!
I love how he is literally the nicest guy and gets along with everyone. The best in the world and a class act.
Outside the court, but he is so annoying when he wins a point
And Alcaraz too
Alcaraz is often over confident, arrogant when he wins and a sore looser if he looses. He need to learn much
I think he handles losing very well, he respects the opponent and leaves while clapping. Players like Tiafoe and Rune who have a big and loud players on the court are the exact opposite of that
@Red Fox Not really tbh .
his drop shots has improved dramatically even cobolli kept throwing his hands in despair. Absolute dominance, no mercy, yet still being nice about it.
1:55 After this Carlitos even apologized for it...🤣
Such a piece of match for Carlos.
He looked on a really high-level, executing exquisite dropshots and making his opponent always played an extra ball for winning the point.
Looking at this young guy playing on clay courts is seriously admirable.
Arevalo: And yet not good enough to take down the likes of Djokovic. 😵
Yeah played well but the Italian wasn’t much of a challenge. Actually Alcaraz play better in hard court than clay.
@Michele Williams: Would not disagree with that opinion. 🤔
@NotSoHandyTim Are you sure of that?
Cause since my point of view, Alcaraz is also a good player on clay courts and he could be a big risk for Nole in a potential match between both here (semifinals)
@Juan Pedro Arévalo: As 2021 champion I think that Djokovic is well aware of all that you point out. If they meet, the risk will be nearly equal to both sides of the net. Foot speed vs guile. Whoever performs their strengths consistently the best will prevail. 😏
You cant see it in these highlights, but the crowd was very nice towards Flavio when he won his first game. It was heartwarming when he got standing ovation and applause.
1:56
Wow. Wow! Carlos is a genius.
I have seen hundreds of angled crosscourt replies to opponents' dropshots but never anything like THAT.
From an inch off the ground. Flicked - with pace! - plum onto the sideline.
I have never seen anything better!
Even for someone that good (& even Federer or Djoko) that's an incredible shot
Cobolli's reaction says it all
pure genius
Incredible
¡¡¡Oleee Carlos!!!
God those drop shots are so unbelievable 😮😮
Cobolli is a baller. A good first round win. Feels like there’s more weight behind his backhand. Great to see
Alcaraz, we will be seeing a lot of him in the Grand Slams, no question. W h a t a talent....
How much fun Carlos has during a match. He looks so happy with his smile. And so relaxed, he is very dangerous.
If Carlos never wins another tournament I'm just blessed to have been privileged to watch his mesmerising tennis. 🎉🎉🎉
That chance is as big as dropping a needle in the ocean and recovering it.
he's going to win this one
Cursed him
You'll see Alcaraz playing for a looonngg time and winning a lot of big tournaments.
Love the passion this guy has for the sport.
….for a first round match?
@anthony lovett relevance?
My reply was mistakenly placed here, I was originally replying to another comment🤦🏾
Not only was he basically perfect, but he was having fun & laughing & enjoying the moment. Totally in his element. Gotta love the start to his FO23 campaign. Def looks fresh out there. This is his tournament to lose imo
🎾 ✨ 🎾 ✨
Let's go boy!!!!!!! Alcaraz back with that magic. He has a strong chance of winning RG this year.
Grande Carlos. Eres un gigante. ❤
Alcaraz drop shots are simply deadly. DEADLY 🤣
THE MOST SPECTACULAR PLAYER IN ATP 🎾😄👌🎶
Standing ovation for such a long highlights of a GS match.👏🏿🙌🏿
Hat's off to the admin!
This is a good warm-up match for Alcaraz. Cobolli should be proud of himself for having a match with world no. 1 and winning some points. He will learn a lot in this match. His cross court shots are also awesome. For Alcaraz, you keep on winning...
Flavio was so happy when he finally got that drop point
his drop shots are gonna make whoever he’s playing against go insane😂 SO good
Carlos has so much potential
he is both the present and the future
Potential? He is there.
@Elmo Blatch he’s saying that cause he’s only 20 years old.
Crazy how good he is already, we’re not even witnessing his peak yet
He is already number 1 in the world…
@elvisac4425 this is better said not that he has potential! He is world number 1 for God's sake
A few years back, he was already one of my favourite up and coming players but I never guessed he'd reach so high so soon. Glad my kids have someone like him to look up to as I did with Rafa and Federer. Absolutely amazing stuff from Carlitos 💪💪
The reaction of Cobolli at 2:05 describes it all 😂
Carlos is so exciting to watch. He actually played better than I was anticipating. One round done😊
This was a great match from both. It was way closer than the scoreline depicts if you look at all the rallies they had.
I'd like to see him lift the trophy this year
Such an exciting player, haven't seen a capacity crowd for a first round match in years.
I love Al Caraz. The future of tennis. We've been spoilt w/Big 3 era. But his tennis skill is in different planet🙌
3 minutes for a grand slam match is ridiculously short
Get used to it for the next 2 weeks, also when RG is over don't forget about it too much cuz Wimbledon highlights aren't any better
@Mario Doblado at least us open can provide
You could purchase a ticket to watch the whole match. 😂.
@Babatunde Kalejaiye yes cause all of us are from france or rich asf to be able to travel stay and buy tickets there...hope you were sarcastic
what can you expect? it's french
I loved the persistance of Cobolli of never wanting to give in even starting from a 6-0. This kid is just 480th in the ranking and played against the world number 1. I'm honestly shocked by how well he played.
Congrats to both players
he's actually 159th
this guy is the best player ever. you would see him winning the title this grand slam. go for it carlos.
No long rallies.. unpredictable shots and style of play.. powerful shots to move his opponents far then drop shots impossible to return..he does his work..and when you go against him hard he changes shape and strategy..he's really the best right now
All the best Carlos. You have a very tough draw and a very tough second round with an opponent who will be fearless and blast big winners. I'll be watching with bated breath.
He is an amazing player, it's a pleasure to watch him❤
What a nice guy, good player, young champion what a match, let,s go carli
A superstar in the making. He's packing the stadium.
You could smell his rival's frustration in the distance
Alcaraz just couldn’t miss no matter what shot he played. Those reverse drop shots were amazing
His wheels are something special. Impossible to forget how Rafel Nadal has beaten everyone in the top ten due to his legs. It is only possible to stay in the top ten with good legs.
Nadal was great with his legs but he won so much becoz of playing style which is the most unique of all tennis players especially on clay. Alcaraz has more diversity in his shots but Nadal game was very heavy for any player to deal on clay. He just makes mockery of Federer and Novak many times on clay courts just as same Federer on grass.
Spot on. I always say this. Movement is KEY.
It is the one thing you absolutely can't do without if you are going to be an elite, top-top player.

Long live Carlos Alcaraz! Beast!
The entire crowd was against Alcaraz in the third, but he still took it. Beast!
Didn’t expect more from the french crowd (specially against Spanish players). I understand. We beat them allways
They were not against Alcaraz, they simply celebrate that a rival who was being crushed in the previous sets, reacts and gives more battle. Its a normal thing. But you only have to see how they have applauded Carlos in amazement throughout the match with each of the big points he has made. Also the affectionate applause he received at the end of the match. We have to know how to differentiate when the public is against a player (where they even boo, something that has not happened with Carlos at any time) or when they simply celebrate that a player who was being crushed finally manages to put up a bit of a fight and lengthens a little more the match.
Usually the crowd cheers for the weakest, and then also to extend the match since the ticket is worth up to 5 sets
Alcaraz is too insanely good
Carlitos playing tennis just makes me happy!
At some point I’d love to see Carlos add fed’s old fake drop shot to his bag. His drop shots are so good players have to be ready to sprint forward as soon as that backswing changes. Imagine how easily he would trick opponents by winding up like he’s hitting the drop shot and then just pushing it deep in the court
He used them already on a few occasions.
Vamos Alcaraz... most probably the new King Of Tennis.👍
Well done Carlos 👏🎾❤️
Карл великий! Покоритель наших сердец🙂
Wow what a soft hand by Carlos!
Good performance for Flavio, but Alcaraz was Fabolous!
unbelievable tennis from Alcaraz 🤩
I'll bet that the top 10 points of the season will feature 10 shots from Carlitos Alcaraz.
That face every time he saw the impeccable placements made by Alcaraz…it was always like, did you just do that? Mesmerizing tennis!
Cobolli? Must have the most beautiful eyes in the tournament😍
@Benita De Wet As a female myself I have to agree😗😍As a Alcaraz fan, still happy Carlitos won, lol...
@Mirea Felder Me too. Also Carlos fan. What do you think of Federer's lookalike Seymoth Wild?
@Benita De Wet I don't know much about him, he's accused of being a domestic abuser (his awkward responses in the press conference reaffirmed these accuses for me) and he just beat Meddy in an epic 5 setter. That's all I know about him.🙅
2:08 when you are so good you have to apologize for it 🔥
2:05 The greatest drop shot I've ever seen.
Alcaraz was having a lot of fun in this match.
Alcaraz The Spanish Beast ! Incredible
I've a feeling Sinner and Carlitos are gonna pull off another epic match for the ages.
Each match alcaraz play he adds content to his highlights real
Congratulations Alcaraz🎾🔥👏
Carlitos era has just begun!! Mark my words!
Carlitos eres un máquina!! 😂
Charlie you are a machine!! 😂
Great match Carlos 🎉🎉🎉❤❤
Well done my son Alcaraz ❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉❤
His latest loss taught Carlos to be quieter for sure.
Nice that Cobolli didn't have that quit in him. He fought. Right on.
che spettacolo....alcaraz è impressionante.
Alcaraz has the best dropshot ever
I hope Carlos doesn't disappoint (his fans/me) over the next two weeks.
Carlitos you will not be disappointed, he will be a legend in the future (except injuries) 😎
Nadal 🇪🇦 mind, Federer 🇨🇭 talent, Djokovic 🇷🇸 powerfull. He's the new GOAT and he haven't rivals like the Big Three had with theirselves... Alcaraz 🇪🇦 can get 40 Grand Slams. 🐐
big potential for championship.
Carlos is insane
Alcaraz putting on an exhibition match.
Since roger is retired, finally found Someone with attacking game and variety to root for. Respect nadal and nole but never enjoyed their games unless they played roger
❤❤❤ Vamoooooooooos Carlitooooooooooos you are the BEST
Wymiata ten hiszpanski demon
Alcaraz learned how to perfectly control his drop shot from his previous match against Marozsan. Just wow.
Exactly, he learned to control that thanks to the loss with Marozsan. That's why it's good to lose. Because you learn things... 😉
this guy is a walking highlight reel
man, Carlos is just different
I gotta say.... i dont enjoy the drop shots as much as power shots.... but if that's how Alcaraz likes to win.... fair play.
The art of dropshot
My word. This guy’s more special at his age than Nadal, Federer or Djokovic were. Never thought I’d say these words.
It may seem a bit of an exaggeration but this kid is the best tennis player I've ever seen. I don't mean in terms of record, of course, but just of sheer playing. He does everything well and in style as well. A true genius.
@robert111k He seems to have no weakness.
Come on Flavio, it is all good esperience to form your mind and attitude. Greetings from Rome Italy
When Alcaraz is playing like this, he is a god - unbeatable.
So how did he play against no 135 at rome
@Abe Guy Se quería volver a España para preparar Roland Garros
@Pedro viriato
Sorry pal I don't understand latino
Latino. ? Será español. ?
I supposed Carlos played amazing. 3 minutes' too short to know it.
Love Alcatraz’s shirt the green looks cool and great win champ!
Well we may have heard the phrase raising your game level overnight, Cobolli managed to raise his in a matter of minutes. Quick learner and a great effort. 😲
He looks sharp wow
Alcaraz is my favorite player right now, but does anyone else think he usually struggles when he has to close the game?
No, he's usually very clutch when he has to close games or matches. For a 20 year old he's incredibly strong mentally already.
@Mirea Felder I obviously agree that he is an exceptionally good player for his age, but I've seen him lose his serve a lot of times when he is close to victory, he usually stills wins but is forced to go the extra mile nevertheless. My point is that I believe that's the only field in which he probably needs to improve, but I'm just nitpicking.
@Nico L Are you talking about 2022? His serve definitely improved a lot this year to last year, he won Barcelona and Madrid with losing barely a set. Of course at only 20 years of age he's still beatable and has some bad days until he reaches his peak level at maybe 21, 22? But Alcaraz right now is still the best of all players over 52 weeks with a over 90% win/loss index.
Alcaraz was perfect, he didnt lose 1 single point since they didnt show not 1 point won from Cobolli
His serve was broken..
Ahem

PLEASE, longer highlights!
Anyone who plays with Alcaraz will be tired.Because it requires more energy to run and if the opponent wants to drop back, Alcaraz's speed can fight with the drop ball.
So whoever plays with Alcaraz is tired and lost.
Tennis' future looks good indeed! Love from Africa.
Carlos when He play he is smart Hé know how to deal with it
Crazy dropshots
Alcaraz you are doing very well if I can read so much toxic commentary of envy 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Tennis is easy for Carlos. He doesn´t have weak points in his game.
