I love how her stepdad is actually just a wholesome sword dork. Hope we see him in the next season.
This was a miniseries, but they could still bring him back in something else
@Some Highlights Epee here, and, yeah, don't we all?
It’s a miniseries bro. No more Hawkeye episodes I don’t think
@Some Highlights can confirm
@Rue Rutherford true, that does seem to be his type, and Kate would definitely go wifh him now that she knows who he is
I really appreciated the bit where he’s asked about his hearing loss and it’s just the montage of him getting blown up. It’s shows that he’s a war vet and you don’t come out unscathed
Same thing happened to my grandfather
💯
And I love how it was timed to the Christmas music 🎶
Clint is relatable
Now certainly :)
Just wished he was in it 60% of the time instead of 40% of the time.
So is every other mcu character, it’s just perspective
It's repeated
He's like the John McClain of the Avengers.
Loved the show for two reasons.
1. It's a great break from the more fantastical elements of the MCU
2. Clint is one of OG Avengers. Very important character in the MCU
@J Cout you tell me that one time avengers won anything when Hawkeye wasn't there
@J Cout In my opinion, this is exactly why they created the series - to give us more of Hawkeye (his character, his humanity) because all the Avengers movies were focused mainly on the rest of group and their importance.
@J Cout Lol Hawkeye is more important than you apparently
@J Cout Avengers have only lost in Infinity War. The only time Hawkeye wasn't there
Lol very important character in the MCU? Name one battle or fight the Avengers have EVER had where they would have lost had Hawkeye not been there? He's filler.
Not every Marvel Netflix character can have the best anything like Matt’s “I am just a really good lawyer” line in No Way Home
I actually loved and really enjoyed the show. It was really funny, had realistic stakes and the chemistry between Clint and Kate was absolutely amazing. Did an incredible job of handling Clint's grief and survivor's guilt while introducing an amazing new character and having really cool action sequences. Post credit scene was a dud tho.
Basically it was Kate Bishop featuring Clint Barton show
Haha I loved the musical scene! It was so funny
I loved the Roger the musical song
I actually loved the post-credits scene.
You shut your mouth about that post-credits scene! Ok, it was corny and it sucked, but that's why it was funny!
I also loved seeing Clint LARP with the cops. When they came out in their superhero suits - it was priceless! And I went nuts over the after credits Broadway number “I Can Do This All Day” that featured several real Broadway stars/vets.
I always thought they way they used Clint having a family was brilliant, in that it really grounded the entire franchise.
We can thank J. Whedon for that. He fought the Studio tooth and nail to include that segment in Age of Ultron. Kudos to Feige for realising afterwards how that could really help ground everything though and taking advantage of it in Endgame and now this.
I didn't mind this show. Small stories are still important to those who live them. I like Hawkeye.
Let’s be honest, this show had some of the most relatable stakes in the entire MCU because I was about to get real mad if they didn’t get Clint back home in time for Christmas.
@Thurwell you didn't understand his character then
I feared Clint was going to kick the bucket when he promised his family that he’d be home before Christmas
Same.
Maybe it was so easy to relate to Hawkeye because he seems to be sick of the MCU, just like the rest of us.
@DANMAN612 lol I was actually responding because of that. Shared opinions and all. Plus I added the grumpy old man angle. Although... I'm not so grumpy that I wouldn't be down for some larping sword fights
At the end he adopts Kate, but he didn’t adopt Wanda, which is why she went all BIG SAD and started LARPing her favorite TV shows
He adopted Kate?!!
"This show is filmed before an enslaved Westview audience."
I'm so glad they pointed out the similarities between this and Arrow because Eleanor Bishop really gave me Moira Queen vibes (and both their kids are archer vigilantes lol)
rip arrow. 2012-19
this series was so wonderfully awesome and wholesome that i didn’t even notice how kate’s text msgs to clint could be taken out of context 😭🤭
and ‘trust a bro’ should’ve been roasted heavily in this!that van was so annoyingly funny!!
Are we not going to discuss how frighteningly good his Winnie the Pooh voice was?!
Agree it was great ;)
The point about Laura trusting Clint to stay in the city with a hot 22-year-old college student is spot on. That “dude she’s ex-SHIELD, she’s gonna find those texts and they DO NOT look good” joke slayed me. 😂💀
@Jemie Bridges that’s stupid
@Bennyton the MCU Mockingbird is Bobbi Morse whose already married to Hunter.
@Tiffany Roberts is stupid that she lost his watch in avengers tower with the ronin suit
pretty sure she's the MCU version of Mockingbird so she's fine. Just don't bring Hunter in
@Ægis Jirō I meant that in the comics Kate Bishop is not attracted to girls.
I absolutely loved this series, I though that it was great, for me it was definitely the best Marvel Disney+ show so far. It was fun, lighthearted, down to earth, relatable, grounded, pretty great acting, I loved it
This is honestly my favourite MCU TV-show. Kate is great and the dynamic between her and Clint is fantastic. Don't have much to say about the villains, but seeing them work off each other kept me entertained all the way through.
And MAJOR props for not turning Kate into some overpowered Mary Sue who never failed and didn't have a thing to learn from the "old man". She failed SPECTACULARLY a good amount of times and learned from it or from Clint trying to teach her.
Have always loved Hawkeye!! He is the most exceptional of the avengers. A normal man with exceptional abilities. No super armour, no invulnerability, not a god. But he still put himself in the same situations. Easy to be brave when there is little danger
Dang Epic Voice Guy, your SpongeBob impression was flawless! Well done!
The Queen takes Bishop joke got me really well at the end lmao.
That was gold ngl
@william hess I haven't watched the show so I have no idea what you're talking about nor do I get the joke.. is the guy doing the pull ups part of the joke?
I can bet that joke similar to this is going to be in season 2
@Bastian Oliver Queen. Another Archer
I thought Hawkeye was really good. I was never all that into Hawkeye but this definitely made me like him more. It was nice to see him have his time in the spotlight for a change. My only complaint was that he didn't fight Kingpin.
it was such a good show, it needs season 2. the Christmas vibes were so good too
I have never laughed so hard to someone dying.. when you said "And lost his best friend... TO THE GROUND" I just was not expecting that and yeah, thats comical gold
Honestly my favourite of the new MCU shows so far. Loved it.
I didn't notice how many times Clint lowered his head in this series. That's hilarious 😂.
So many incels arguing in the comments 😆
@motor4X4kombat I actually enjoyed it quite a lot.
It's probably how Jeremy really felt. Like Al Bundy, old and defeated by women. "oh god.."
@jawller u wouldnt be complaining if u are familiar with dc shows lol lol
😂
Hawkeye’s wife really was chill about Clint spending Christmas with Kate
Loved the Shane Black puns, and I loved that you trusted us to know exactly why the series was Shane Blackish 🎄
That “Florence the Pough” bit is easily the funniest thing you’ve ever written
Honestly, I think 'Hawkeye' was probably the best show I saw in 2021, and certainly the one I enjoyed the most.
It's the only one I've rewatched several times.
being a tired dad myself, i was all in on clint’s tired dad energy this entire series.
finally some tired dad representation !
@Jim Applebee lol 😂
Preach tired dad, preach! Tired dads of the world unite! After a nap, maybe.
I feel ya bro
Exactly! He’s the only one even remotely relatable for me.
I actually loved this show!
It was nice to get a break from the more crazy world ending threats of the movies and have a more grounded comic book story that still had loads of action and was a ton of fun.
AND I loved that Clint actually communicated with people to explain things instead of the usual stupid convoluted problems that usually occur in stories like this where so many problems could be solved by just talking. And it was nice getting a look at his life. Him, Thor and Banner are the only remaining OG avengers and Thor is off world and who knows what Banner is up to. And that montage showing how he damaged his hearing was so good. He's been through some stuff and he is still human so it was nice to see some consequences.
I love Hawkeye, both the show and the character
I actually love this series. And honestly the relationship between Yelena and Kate is my favorite.
I actually really enjoyed it, and I liked seeing them show the effect that being in countless explosions and beatings had on Hawkeye.
I am shocked that this is one of my favorite Honest Trailers. It was just comedy gold. And the Winnie the Pooh voice was spot-on.
Wow... unless you actually got Jim Cummings to do the Winnie the Pooh bit, you did a fantastic job sounding like him
I actually really loved this show for it's simplicity haha!
I liked the series, it was actually pretty nice to watch, would recommend. All the new movies feel dumb because we can’t relate to our understand the stakes properly
3:35 The Tracksuit Mafia’s constant use of “bro” is straight from the comics.
5:06 That was pretty fun and catchy.
5:33 I liked the comparison to Arrow.
Epic guy saying "losing his friend to the ground" really had me tearing up with laughter
The "Florence the Pugh" got me so good! XD I had to pause and laugh for a min straight
I loved this series!
This show was actually far more fun and enjoyable than I could’ve imagined. I really liked it!
people in this reply section don't understand opinions
This show sucked butt not a fan that they tried turning her into Hawkeye in 3 days not believable at all
Same!
@Tiffany Roberts were you by any chance a Jeremy Renner App subscriber ? is that why the thought of watching someone else onscreen for a bit pisses you off so much ?
@Yoehon John least you understand it’s bad, that’s what matters
“It’s important representation of someone who actually thinking Hawkeye is cool.”
That made me chuckle
I liked the series! It doesn't always have to be doomsday and planet- devouring gods.
That Winnie the Pooh impression was fantastic.
Yeah this was my favorite of the new MCU shows, it's just fun and charming.
Frankly, I loved the way Hawkeye was in this. Dude seriously was just a normal dude with amazing training.
He was just so done with all this lol
This show was basically Kate Bishop's show.... Clint just wanted to be done with it
Clint has been trying to retire since 2012 an is just SO done with this it's hilarious.
This was my favorite series so far. I liked the creativity of Wandavision and Loki, but this stayed pretty grounded while also being fun.
Yeah, some heroes don't have powers and he knows that. He's just a regular guy doing his job.
I loved the Hawkeye series! It was fun and well crafted
I've always really enjoyed Hawkeye in the Avengers, so I loved the series. Also, Hailee Steinfeld is just fun to watch. I'm sad she won't be playing Spider-Gwen in the MCU, though.
I absolutely died at the Florence the Pugh joke, utterly hilarious
It looks like a fun show. At least the person they are making Hawkeye share the spotlight with likes him, and is not a girl that the writers make better than him in every way for no apparent reason but because she is a girl.
What I like the most about Clint is that he's just a regular skilled guy without superpowers doing the right thing. He knows he's considered one of the lesser Avengers, but he doesn't care. He just does his job well and he does it for all the right reasons.
He seemed pretty done with MCU in the show....like it looked like he was doing this for the paycheck
If he wanted to do the right thing, he'd borrow a glock of Black Window and that would make him like 223,58% more effective at doing the right thing.
Clint and Natasha were SHIELD operatives that specialized in wetwork years before Tony Stark had his change of heart. Clint didn't need a tragic origin story or branding to be a hero, just a good heart and the willingness to kill the right people.
Like Arrow?
The thing to remember about Hawkeye is that he was a top SHIELD agent for years before Tony Stark started playing with a box of scrap in a cave. We're talking one of Nick Fury's personal troubleshooters.
Very cool that you guys are giving cred to the comic. It's really good, guys.
I actually really enjoyed Hawkeye despite never having really cared much about his character before.
I concur. The collection of words and sentence structure almost detracts from the profile. Almost.
Lol these are the funniest bots
I love that Hawkeye is getting more love, cause comic book Hawkeye is one of the most badass avengers.
I really like hawkeye, he's one of my favorite heros. The mcu never did him justice.
Honestly, this is probably one of the few productions where I've seen LARPers NOT treated like a colossal joke by making them into a gang of Daniel Day-Lewises who never turn off their character, and show that they're actually normal people who just happen to have a geeky hobby.
@Yanny M good point
@Yanny M yeah, i liked that touch. i only wish the writers could remind us of that in the finale.
@Charles Ahweyevu The show made it a point that the Larpers were primarily composed of Firemen and Police officers. Clint would've had a big fight in his hands, and would've ended up in jail regardless of the outcome thus missing Christmas with his family.
I've only seen LARPers portrayed once, in Knights of Badassdom. So much fun I'd almost wanna try it!
No
That Spaceballs reference was awesome! Keep them coming! 😎
I actually enjoyed it more than the other D+ MCU shows.
Love the appreciation of the salmon ladder. Queen rules for sure!!!
Was very pleasantly surprised by this, maybe it was the simplicity of it or maybe it really knew what it wanted to be but it ended up being one of my favourite mcu shows.
@notme222 My thoughts exactly mate 👍
Mine too. It was grounded but a lot of fun.
Honestly, I actually loved this show - Clint being so utterly done with it all helped. The Kingpin thing could have been done better, but let's face it, he's not dead.
@Literal_Potato pretty sure that was the most blatant sarcasm I’ve ever read.
@cryofpaine no lol where did you hear that while that is one of the scenarios its not necessarily that everytime
Totally dead. Everyone knows that if you don't see the body, it's because they are 100% dead and it's too gruesome to show. And comic book characters especially always stay dead once people think they are and never ever come back later one.
the kingpin part was embarrassing after how well the daredevil show developed him tbh :/
hawkeye was such a good show, probably my top 2 disney+ marvel show so far
🤣
I am so happy that we finally got to see some of the Comic Clint Ive been severely missing in the MCU
Wow, hearing your EPIC voice finally read my comment just gave me the chiiiiiiiiills... Thank you for this HONOR! =)
Honestly it was a pretty entertaining series. Never bored me.
Dunno why there's so much shade on Clint. He's respectable in that he has actual skill that isn't reliant on a super suit or special serum.
I mean, captain america is just a slightly stronger human, that isn't even bulletproof, in the real life i'd fear more an assassin who is deadly from 2 km away than a strong guy with a shield
True.
People who dislike Hawkeye have probably never read a comic book.
No joke, the whole video was about how Hawkeye 'sucks' but he's the most wholesome character of them all. He saved Nat from a shadier future, has a full fledged family, and was one of shield's top operatives for the better half of two decades.
I dont know what happens in comics but I think hawkeye would have changed the course of story like hitting the arrow to his eye.
There should be a reason why he wasnt there, on purpose.
What makes hawkeye a true hero is that he fights all that weirdness beyond him by being a simple human.
In my book its the most heroic act.
A mere mortal fighting gods or monsters.
the "i thought you loved all animals, mister ventura" got me 🤣🤣🤣
Best one in a long time guys, loved the "spaceballs" reference
I did love both the show and the honest trailer!
"Queen takes Bishop" was a truly masterful line. Nice one!
A “regular” guy doing his best and not being afraid dispite being around god-like beings. That’s why Hawkeye is one of the best Avengers for me 🏹
@Cameron Joseph Videos Nice to see all of this finally in words! I agree with everything
@silverblade357 exactly I'm so glad someone else said it too
I say similar to this
@Julians. Its why I've always preferred her in Iron Man 2 and Winter Soldier where it seems like she has an actual reason to be there. Not every Avenger needs to be an unstoppable killing machine and I think people would be more accepting of Widow and Hawkeye if they doubled down on their spy skill sets rather than making them fight alongside the power houses.
@Cameron Joseph Videos Exactly. World class spy & they literally sent her fighting aliens on the frontlines with a god & the Hulk on her first appearance.
She did alright but the whole time I was like "wrong character class".
After all these shows have come out I can say between Hawkeye and Captain “Do Better” I know which one I like more
yay! i've been waiting for this ever since i binged it on New Year's Eve!
but you gotta give Kingpin some credit, he took all that and still didn't go down. he's one hardass dude (which is true to the comics).
and i like this version of Yelena Belova more than the one in the comics, tbh; i kinda wanna see her in the New Young West Coast Avengers or whatever.
I know the point of honest trailers is to parody, and they did a good job of it. I did love Hawkeye tho, great show for the MCU
You know the show's good when most of the jokes miss.
I actually really enjoyed Hawkeye despite never having really cared much about his character before.
same. and Kate is adorable.
@Shaurya Suri That's his opinion though not yours
@Yashraj Lande I mean yeah. If you wait 11 years for a show, then you kind of have high expectations.
@Nicolas p woah!!! you have some hella highhhh expectations lol
But yeah i also want mah man hawkeye to be more than this but still this season was legit i liked it very much. Gonna be my all time favorite
@Yashraj Lande I didn't like it because my expectations ware high and this show didn't come even close to it.
That continuous shot car chase scene was awesome
“Can you do the salmon ladder?” And “Queen takes Bishop.” Both of those are hilarious, lol
Clint being done with everything was so relatable lol 🤣
Hawkeye is my favorite series thus far because it's relatable
The only thing wrong with the series is that Kingpin didn’t commit murder by car door in it.
he did murder a car door on it so that’s something
Let’s face it though, Fisk was DEFINITELY gonna bash Eleanor’s brains out.
Her mom had to really move quickly to be able to ram Fisk with the car.
@Jerek Headrick I hoped he would sit at Clints house. That would have been something
"I'm not an actor but I play one on TV" is the funniest part of the whole video
"Queen takes Bishop, checkmate!"
Lmao, that's one hell of a line
Oh, I enjoyed the series. It's actually my favorite of the MCU Disney+ shows...
This show is underrated. I love it!
This series was actually pretty fun because it didn't take the character too seriously. Surprised how much I enjoyed it
@Welcome to the Metaverse Nothing was allowed to sink in. No one was actually threatening. Didn't even watch the finale bc I knew Kingpin was gonna be made to look foolish, and I was absolutely right.
This ^ ... not everything needs to be omg the world is ending - they had some serious heartfelt moments but also some good funny and character building moments
He was taken seriously in all the right ways. When is character cares about something, we see why he cares so much. If he needs to have a moment, they let that moment sink in. He's not treated like the greatest hero or the most complex individual. He's just a guy who does his job, overcoming hardships and regrets just like anybody else.
@David Matheny this was actually Renners idea if I remember correctly :P
I mean the joke sith killing Quicksilver
The wisest thing Marvel did was to start bringing out more of his comedic side in Age of Ultron and making us care about his family.
i loved this show
Ah I was expecting a Nothing suits them like a suit joke. Best one in ages though guys 👍
Give me the chills with the line "Welcome to PlayPaintChill. You just gained honor +2 for following us ! ".
I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this show
Dude you are right. The only fight avengers lost is the one he skipped.
CLINT is the Key!
@Alec Pridgen I understood that reference.
@silverblade357 She must have known he was playing Tag.
They didn't even try to call him. Natasha knew what was coming and decided *not* to phone her BFF who also happened to be the world's single best sharpshooter.
Never skip leg day; never skip Hawkeye Day.
Florence the Pugh in Winnie the Pooh’s voice had me crying with laughter!
Fun fact this is the most comic book accurate Hawkeye and the most comic book accurate Marve show so far
the whole series would have been more awesome if the last 2 episodes would have been on a higher level rather than such low
"Lost his best friend to the ground." DAMN!! Savage AF!
@Peter Parker Speak for yourself. I loved "Hawkeye" and the MCU in general. It's great to finally get more variety than just your generic white male hero.
@E3ECO yeah....it made for a very bland tv show which was solely made to introduce new STRONG FEMALE characters
What is happening with M-She-U these days ? If they are making a film or tv series that is about the titular character, then it should BE about the character and giving him/her the proper honours
They also did Natasha Romanoff dirty in her own long awaited solo film
Instead of a Kate Bishop tv show, a tv series or a solo film based on Nat and Clint about their Budapest days would have been AMAZING !
@Peter Parker They addressed this in one of the extras. Clint is done. He's been through the wars, gone to the dark side and returned, and now all he wants is to go home and spend time with his kids. He doesn't want to kill anyone, so all his moves are defensive. He doesn't want to attack.
She fought much better than Clint though.... which really sucks considering this is supposed to be Clint's show
@swanpride aos are not mcu cannon :(
"I thought you loved all animals, mr ventura" that KILLED me
I give it a 5/10. I lost interest by the 4th episode and had to fast forward through some parts of the last 2 episodes.
