Yesterday, everyone knew The Beatles. Today, only Jack remembers their songs. He’s about to become a very big deal. From Academy Award®-winning director Danny Boyle (Slumdog Millionaire, Trainspotting, 28 Days Later) and Richard Curtis, the Oscar-nominated screenwriter of Four Weddings and a Funeral, Love Actually and Notting Hill, comes a rock-n-roll comedy about music, dreams, friendship, and the long and winding road that leads to the love of your life.
Jack Malik (Himesh Patel, BBC’s Eastenders) is a struggling singer-songwriter in a tiny English seaside town whose dreams of fame are rapidly fading, despite the fierce devotion and support of his childhood best friend, Ellie (Lily James, Mama Mia! Here We Go Again). Then, after a freak bus accident during a mysterious global blackout, Jack wakes up to discover that The Beatles have never existed … and he finds himself with a very complicated problem, indeed.
Performing songs by the greatest band in history to a world that has never heard them, and with a little help from his steel-hearted American agent, Debra (Emmy winner Kate McKinnon), Jack’s fame explodes. But as his star rises, he risks losing Ellie - the one person who always believed in him. With the door between his old life and his new closing, Jack will need to get back to where he once belonged and prove that all you need is love.
Featuring new versions of The Beatles’ most beloved hits, Yesterday is produced by Working Title’s Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner (Love Actually, About A Boy, the Bridget Jones series) alongside Matthew James Wilkinson and Bernie Bellew. Curtis and Boyle also produce. Nick Angel and Lee Brazier serve as executive producers.

The Beatles. The most popular music act in history. One of the most important bands in history. Some of the greatest songs of the 20th Century. Looking forward to this film.

Who cares if it’s unrealistic, this is just a fun movie based on a fantasy we probably all imagined before..

I've never been a big fan of the Beatles and their songs, yes it was before my time, but I do know a lot of their songs.... Anyway, there is something about this trailer that gives me goosebumps, I just have to watch it over! Loving Himeshs voice on yesterday. Can't wait to see the movie!

I've seen post apocalyptic movies about pretty much everything. Zombies, aliens, killer robots, tyrannical rulers, nuclear wasteland, etc.

This trailer gives me goosebumps, especially for the part that James Corden says that there are two men that claimed the song was theirs...

James Corden: “We would like you to write something right now!”

Saw it today: the movie had so much more possibility and it turned into something we have seen time and again. But with that said, the music was ofcourse, wonderful and it has many comedic moments that lightened up at the right time. And, a moment i didnt see coming which brought a well of tears and holding my breath in a "what if " scene ( especially for those who grew up with the beatles). This film brings back the importance and brilliance of their songs that is lacking today in the music industry.

I’m really excited for this movie! The Beatles are a band that transcends time and will ALWAYS be legendary. Even if their songs were written today in 2019, they would still be smash hits. That shows the true raw talent that Paul, George, John and Ringo had.

I remember watching the Ed Sullivan show with my parents on the floor in our living room and experiencing something all new and fresh. It was like going from old school Dion and the Belmont's to something all new and wonderful. Then I remember going to school the next day, all anybody could talk about was The Beatles. And of course everybody had to pick they're favorite Beatle. I actually choose my favorite earlier in the day. I happen to watch the Beatles land at Idlewild Airport (Kennedy Airport) early afternoon and the live interview they had in the Pan Nam terminal with about 50 or more News reporters right after debarking they're plane. The reporters asked the Beatles all kinds of stupid questions, like what do you call that hairstyle? George's reply, 'Arthur', or the best question directed to another Beatle, they're leader, John. How did you find America? and John's response Turn left after Greenland! That's when I fell for John and the Beatles. I realized the Beatles were purposely answering the reporters stupid questions with funny answers, which cracked me up. Three things happened that night, One was I loved The Beatles, two was my parents hated The Beatles and the third was the next day every kid had Bangs!

As a huge Beatles fan I can't believe that someone took their music to create something like that. This movie looks amazing! What an original and fun idea!

As a Beatles fan, this came out of nowhere and I love it! I've always had this idea in my head of what if the world forgets everything and that I would have to re inform them, but it would come out as my own ideas, I swear to god this movie is somehow magical

This movie reminds me of the magic I felt when I first discovered The Beatles over a decade ago. It reminds why, no matter how many bands I listen to, I always come back to The Beatles. This movie captures such a special sort of magic for me and I can't wait to see it!

In a world without the Beatles, the music world would be unrecognizable to us.

Even if the movie isn't very good, at least the soundtrack will be LEGENDARY.

You know what I realized. Even in the modern age, The Beatles' music still created a frenzy amongst the people. Just goes to show how timeless and incredible their music is.
