oof, this could've been a 2 minute episode. "We're painting it, here done". AdTribe getting very silly now.
When you guys have a meeting to discuss why the channel isn't doing well, remember videos like this, and all the comments complaining. Quality over quantity is something that needs to be remembered.

    • Willy T
      Willy T 4 months ago +1

They've set the quality bar very high. This was a bit more filler than thriller but I think you need to be gracious with the Clip-Share until the oil gets hot.

I understand why Ads are important on youtube, but these episodes havent been enough. I watch car youtube so i can learn all of the small specific details about something as "simple" as painting a car. I (and everyone else) want to see all of the little details. Dont be afraid to get technical and explain every little part of each process.

Car Vertical won’t tell you if the car was damaged between the factory and the dealership with 0 owners on the logbook, I’ve repaired loads of cars that’s fell off the transporter trailers from the top tier, 1st owner buys the car and doesn’t have a clue it’s been wrecked 👍

    • Tom Rockholm- Timeless_Morphs
      Tom Rockholm- Timeless_Morphs 4 months ago +6

Same here, so shady that the manufacturer and dealers can get away with that without legally being required to disclose those damages that have been repaired on a brand new car. I’ve painted a few that got full replacement quarters because the damage was so bad before being put on the lot for sale as brand new.

I love these cars, I had two when I was younger, a ‘99 Turbo 2000 tuned to 350hp and a 330s tuned to 400hp by the leg that was JGM.
They’re great cars but the prices have gone absolutely mental which is madness as an A45 AMG, S3, M2 would smoke them. It’s just bonkers!

    • Oli
      Oli 4 months ago

Some of them might smoke one in a straight line but a B road the Impreza is at home. If the Impreza had similar power to those newer cars then it would be a very capable car, the AWD system on Subarus have proved over the years is second to none.

  • Mark Smith

Be very careful if you are thinking of buying a WRX STI of the final version. The 2.5 engine is fragile in standard form. The bores go oval and if that happens it’s a full rebuild. I had a 2014 car. It was a nice car but not relaxing to drive. It had constant torque steer on a straight road so driving long distances was tiring and the fuel consumption was eye watering driving it hard. Like 6mpg on a racetrack. Road tax was high, £550 last time I had the car 4 years ago. The suspension was pretty hard as well. Great fun if you drove it like you stole it but it’s a heavy car and can quickly become a handful. It was always at the back of mind that if I lost control it would hurt a lot as the car so quickly picked up speed. I definitely wouldn’t have another one. There’s much better high performance cars out there. Hence why you very rarely see many of the last versions of the car.

  • Sacha D'Souza
    Sacha D'Souza 4 months ago +4

With all the work that went into repairing, preparing and improving it, why wasnt all the car painted fresh? It seems silly to have masked off the drivers door and other bits.. The whole car should have been painted fresh to avoid any colour mis-matching... Surely cost wasnt a factor?

I'm going to be that nerd but the exhaust system won't make it very burbly as it's an Equal length header twin scroll car so it will always sound a bit more inline 4-y than the typical classic Subaru rumble. sounds great though, I've got a Hawkeye JDM STI with the same setup and they scream!

Now that youtube have introduced the "Sponsored content Skip" option (same as Sponsor Block) it really helps let the viewer know what videos not to watch with different icons on the thumbnails, if you see green or yellow, it means there is advertising exceeding the allowed advertisement time of 30 seconds per 10 mins of video or the video is so full of sponsors/ads that the algo can't tell where the content starts. It also tells you the actual video length minus all advertising and sponsors. This 12mins video is actually only 8:48s of content.

Don’t know why they decided to put a clear blend in the uniside upper rail above the B pillar, would’ve been better to spray all the way down the A pillar and reduce a future fail point. Would’ve been less work than doing the blend too.
