Uncle roger is not a pro chef. I'm not hating on the guy. He sure is entertaining and have a lot of knowledge about asian food. But in the blooper, he can't even slice a pork skin on his own.

I have to confess that Jamie Oliver introduced me to okonomiyaki, and my family instantly fell in love with it. We have, however, tweaked it with more authentic ingredients, such as napa cabbage, shiitake mushrooms, Kewpie mayo, okonomiyaki sauce, and bonito flakes.

And then it taste horrible and they have their self doubt.. but matter of fact, it’s the recipe fault at the frost place..
We kind of already knew this from that last fried rice video. After Uncle Roger did it we realize how much behind-the-scenes and editing the JO team must have done to make his fried rice look edible. JO's fried rice did look wet from the water and olive oil but it at least looked clean enough, no color only because of lack of soy sauce, but Uncle Roger's version was a train wreck. Thinking back, there's no way JO's rice can look that good after adding water AND tofu.
and the sad thing is they wont like it and never try it again and it doesnt matter wich version no kind ov them will be tried after his sh*t

I was very lucky to eat at Matsudai Ramen for my birthday. The sunset tonkotsu ramen was the best bowl of ramen I've had in my whole life. And I'm obsessed with ramen, I've even eaten five bowls in a row at the enormous ramen museum in Yokohama. Absolutely the best and worth a visit to Cardiff, bravo James you're doing amazing 🎉🎉🎉

Anyways, that was probably one of the best roast videos ever, because it was really true to how fcked up JO's "ramen" are. Even me, a total ramen noob, knows that roasting the bones is pointless and that you skim off that gunk from your broth religiously. (would also wash the bones before cooking, to make sure the broth is extra clear) The pork belly was sad af too... the spinach... oh man... I wished a nice ramen shop opened in my small dead and boring town. xD
