I don't think people realize the "notes' are a typed out version of what was on the email, the people don't literally mail a letter with their controller. You'd contact the company via email to ask for a refund/exchange and then they'd confirm and you'd ship it to them, you don't just ship a controller with a note.

That initial email is the complaint, then they have the controller shipped back to examine it closer and send an email back to confirm if what they found matches the complaint of the customer. How annoyed would you be if customer service messed up a revamp you asked for on a product you got from their business. Had they confirmed with you then it may not have happened. Then you’d have to send it out again. It’s a simple process, it doesn’t hurt to confirm with the customer what they exactly mean especially if they aren’t specific with their complaints.
Imagine asking to re-do it and they mess up, you would be angry right? They do that to double check, this is just what the first comment said but just dumbed down
The customer should not have to explain why the joypad is being returned. If he simply don't like it and it is within 30 days he should be able to return it free shipping and no questions asked. If an online store is not prepared to compete with Amazon customer service, it won't succeed. Plus, Amazon sellers have to pay a big commission. The seller would save time by advertising "no hassle returns - free return shipping"

What's the point of getting a fancy looking controller with mouse buttons for like 250-300+ bucks, while you can get the edge/elite controller for 2/3 or even half the price while having tons of more and great features (while also looking way better imo)?
The Edge costs the same price. Kind of wished they came in black because personally I'm not a fan of the white color scheme. I also had just bought a black Dualsense 5 before they announced the Edge, so I assumed the Edge would come in black too. But it didn't. The features are okay I guess. This website is just another one of those ways to get a controller with, whatever you really want on it, space decals, rainbows, different colored everything if you wanted. That's really the only purpose of these sites. They don't advertise themselves as "better" controllers, you're just able to get different colors that you can't normally get in retailers. Also the Edge is like 10% bigger than the regular PS5 controller, so I guess this is just a way of getting a controller you want in abstract colors you can't find in stores that's also the same size as the standard controllers?

Working in the food industry, I can let you know right now that anything you've ever eaten from a fast food place, costs 250% more than what it costs the company to manufacture and produce. These companies exist solely for the sake to make money off of kids and lazy people who don't have the time or knowledge to do this themselves. That's the whole point; instead of buying the parts at a fraction of the cost of a pre-built controller, you're paying someone to do it for you while also giving them enough money to pay for the parts used PLUS an additional set. No business would be succesful if they weren't making a minimum of double what was spent in profit. The money also obviously isn't going toward just parts either, it's going toward their office rent, employee pay, business insurance and someone else's benefits, etc., If you know how to do it, are interested or want to save yourself the shipping time and money involved, yeah, just buy the parts and do it yourself. But that's not the point.
@1of1_ these are PS5 controllers. The company sells controllers for Xbox too. But the ones in the video are for the PS5. You can pretty much use any controller on any platform you want anyways. Adapters, spoofers and third party apps and connectors exist nowadays. So, it doesn't really matter what "brand" a controller is, you can pretty much use any controller you want on any console. But these are just stock PS5 controllers with the plates and pads swapped out with third party designs.
