I was just thinking if they could somehow impart the energy of the jumpers to the aircraft with some rope and pulleys, that would be cool.

that launch mechanism was genius. using the stored energy in the cart to pull the plane with the high friction wheels is super efficient
How this plane launched off the dock was actually pretty cool....and it flew/glided for a couple mins
