Dirk was too hungry and unstoppable. He acknowledged the fact that this was his last opportunity to win while in his prime. But must give huge credit to Jason Terry, Kidd, Chandler, Marion also. Entire bench consisted of very solid, well known veterans. The players were humble/no drama type, so i believe they meshed well plus the talent was present. Can't forget the 2011 Mavs, the finals series felt so real.
@Milos Popovic Dallas had a great supportive cast. Tyson Chandler doing the dirty work and rim protection. Shawn Marion guarding Lebron. JKidd and Barea good ball control, Jason Terry getting hot off the bench. And Dirk being the best player in that series
I‘m from Germany and I had the best time in my life during this Series. Woke up at night to watch the Games, went very tired to work. But at least with a big smile. And I cried when he won his ring, he is my hero!
@Vivienne Duong dirks ring is amazing but dont discredit lebron calling him a ring chaser when he alone is a goddamn superteam, he goes to any team with a decent player all of a sudden people call that shit a superteam
Same here! It still gives me goose bumps. He played his heart out. Nothing but respect. Er ist und bleibt einer der größten Spieler aller Zeiten 41-21-1 - mehr muss man nicht sagen! 🤜🤛
I remember when we watched that last game here in germany. People who never watch basketball came together and witnessed that moment at 4am in the morning. All the bars were packed. Dirk is just such a legend.
Still one of the best finals. The ageing Mavs managed to get the ring. Much respect with these guys. Been waiting for these since 2006 finals lost. It’s really worth the win. Thanks Dirk!
Dirk one legged fade away is like to Kareem Sky hook, cant be blocked. Might miss but can't be blocked. Vince once blocked dirk but it wasn't the legendary one legged, still a great accomplishment to block a 7 footer though.
That season Dirk was the best basketball player on Earth. He didn't sustain it very long but for that year no one was better, not LBJ, Kobe, KD, no one.
This is still the most impressive playoff run. Even if LeBron wins the title this year(2018) it wouldn't come close to what Dirk and the mavs did in 2011.
This championship is like winning 6-peat championship. The pain and sacrifices pays off. Love you Dirk ! All the way from Philippines. You're my inspiration , " loyalty , humbleness ". You stayed to Mavs and never gave up. Unlike other player they transferred to other teams to get championship but you, You played the right way. I always use your signature move one legged fadeaway. MJ and Dirk is my basketball idols ❤️❤️❤️ hate LeBron mocked you when u had flu during finals. At the end you got the last laugh.
As a german looking a compatriot playing such an amazing game in the worlds best basketball league it feels strange on some way, cause this game is so underrated here. I am very proud that he had such a succes and that he was so loyal to his Mavericks Organisation.Something you see in todays sport very seldom. Hope One day another big german ill play again in the worlds best league. His modesty should be an inspiation for everyboday! LEGEND!!!!
The greatest Playoffs run of the last 20 years. (Perhaps even ever.) The gauntlet the 2011 Mavs went through to finish on top of it all. A 4-2 win in the first round over the Portland Trailblazers, against players as LaMarcus Aldridge, Marcus Camby, Gerald Wallace & Brandon Roy. (And other notable players as Nicolas Batum & Patty Mills.) Then a 4-0 sweep of the Los Angeles Lakers in the second round, over players as Kobe Bryant, Pau Gasol, Andrew Bynum, Derek Fisher & Metta World Peace. (And other notable players as Lamar Odom & Matt Barnes.) Next, a 4-1 gentleman sweep over the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Conference Finals, against players as Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, James Harden, Serge Ibaka & Kendrick Perkins. (And other notable players as Nate Robinson & Thabo Sefolosha.) And then finally they beat the three headed hydra from the Miami Heat with a 4-2 record to secure it all. A well fought victory over players as LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Udonis Haslem & Eddie House. (And other notable players as Jerry Stackhouse, Mike Miller, Jamaal Magloire, Juwan Howard, Zydrunas Ilgauskas & Mike Bibby.) Just look at the star studded list they all beat, just incredible. Not just their final opponent, but their whole Playoffs run was against great to amazing teams. Just one of a kind, the Dallas Mavericks of 2011.
I remember this as one of the best overall finals series by any play...that's as good as Dirk has ever played he was in such a zone it was crazy. Ppl always act like Dallas magically won because LeBron was horrible he wasn't horrible but he definitely was only playing like a semi all-star instead of super goaty like when he played Warriors
Dirk BALLED out that entire playoff run. Clutch in every game in the Finals. Definitely one of the all time greats. Ans that jump shot is SO ice water!!!
25:11 Shit gives me chills. Highest 3pter in NBA history. I remember watching this game as a 10 year old. In game 2, everybody thought we were done when Miami had us down by like 18. Then Dirk turned into an assassin. I'll never forget that.
Dirk was such an outstanding and dominant player that he single-handedly led Germany team to medals on 2002 World Cup & 2005 Eurobasket. It was amazing to watch him doing that. 👏
Witnessing Dirk carry this Mavericks team to victory in 2011 was the most intense and exciting basketball I've ever had the pleasure of watching. Dirk epitomizes loyalty and class; he deserved every bit of that championship and nobody can argue with that.
Have been a Mavs' fan since I started to watch and play basketball. Looking at Dirk getting old, and then coming back to watch this video, I don't know why I have tears in my eyes.
I am watching this video every year, just miss this guy so much, this is really beautiful basketball. Dirk shots so well but the moves before the shooting is better! This will be the video I will be sharing with my son when he grows older, just to tell him why I love this game and this guy so much. Miss you in the court Dirk.
Respect for Dirk. Future generations remember LBJ in his 8th year in NBA lost to a old mavs with 1 superstar and he had 2 other top 15 players on his team with Riley as his gm
Dirk's run in 2011 was one of the most spectacular moments of basketball i've witnessed. Really solidified his status as a legend in the NBA that season.
10:56 "Not a lot of contact there" I know the foul was called there, but it's interesting how often jumping straight up on defense is called as fouls now too
It’s February 2019 and I’m still watching 2011 NBA Finals Highlights!!! This Finals was so intense!! Had me jumping!!! Dirks 2011 championship > Warriors Championships
People don't realize the mavs were the underdogs in every series.. swept kobe pau.. beat kd harden westbrook.. portland.. and lebron Bosh and wade. RESPECT
I was going for Heat but folks hated Bron so bad they forgot to give Dirk his just due for running through EVERYBODY that playoff year. He was dominant every single round. That team was built to win a title. Vets that understood playoff atmosphere. Carlisle don't get credit for switching to a zone after game 2 because they were on the verge of possibly getting swept if he didn't. Dirk abused Bosh
As a life long Heat fan, I was crushed when the Heat lost to the Mavs in 2011. Shit, It STILL bothers me today! But Dirk's performance was nothing short of greatness. He DESERVED that victory!
Dirk doesn’t need a super team in order to win a NBA title. He won it against the NBA’s big three at their prime. That says a lot. Definitely a hall of famer. There will never be a seven footer pure shooter like him. He’ll surely be missed.
Dirk Nowitzki will be considered one of the best all time players for many reasons. But some reasons they do not keep stats on. Dirk is a class player with respect for the game. He isn't flashy, he is efficient. He does not use gimmicks like head bands and trash talk. He does not mock and insult other players, he is a silent killer on the hardwood. He isn't consistently shopping the NBA for a better salary, he is actually sacrificing his own salary to build a better team. When it's all said and done, Dirk is a lot like Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, David Robinson, Tim Duncan, Pete Maravich, and so 'few" others that played for the love of the game. Dirk is to Dallas what Kobe is to the Lakers and what Duncan is to the Spurs. The fans appreciate the real players who support the hometown team and never give up. LeBron James will never know what that feels like. Both LeBron and Wade will also always be remembered for the 2006 season, which arguably was the most controversial season in the history of the NBA. No one inside or outside the walls of the NBA respects the 2006 season, and most all players and fans alike consider the 2006 Championship and "Un-earned" victory at best.
I mean c'mon....Lebron wasn't even around Miami in 2006 when they won....dont be a hater bud Lebron has dominated the NBA for a decade....u cant win a title every time u play in the finals Even Jordan had 6 rings out of his 14 seasons in the NBA....they both are humans at last
The 2011 Mavs were a lot better than realized. After a 24-5 start the Season ending loss of Caron Butler occurred as well IIRC other injuries. They promptly went 3-10. Subtract that adjustment period out of their Regular Season and this team 54-19 (78.3%). This translates into a full season record of 64-18. Anything north of 62 wins is pretty elite in my books.
Man I almost tear up after watching this again. I know I cried like a lil girl that night they won the chip. Every single player on the mavs showed up to play and win. It’s surreal to think this was five years in the making following the 06 loss but also like a decade in the making for any true fans of this team. The battles with the kings and spurs in the early 2000s, getting swept by the warriors in 07, shit is crazyyy to think about what dirk had to go thru for that ring and that’s what makes it so sweet knowing he got it.
This was an amazing playoff run. The Miami Heat were the favorites. The had 3 of the top 4 players on the court every game. They had home court advantage. Unfortunately, for LBJ and company, Dirk was unguardable. It was great to see players for the Mavs who had almost won the title with other teams win this one. Jason Kidd got so close with New Jersey Nets and Marion got close with Phoenix.
Grew up,watching Dirk and Nash. Always mimicking his jump shot when i play as well his fade. Happy Retirement. One of the Greatest Power Forward of all time. Watching this finals was difficult during that time was amazing. Im glad Dirk won his Ring
This was the first year i actually got into watching professional basketball, I watched the playoff run with most teams this year. The mavericks that year. I don't honestly know, but i counted them out so many times. I rooted for them majority of the time. I loved their team play, but it seemed like they were always losing every single game. besides the blazers series. it just felt like they were destined to lose. until the fourth quarter. I understand the team as a whole had a great chemistry, but imho I felt better when dirk took a shot with 3 defenders on him than when he gave it to a wide open shooter. Dirk continually made clutch after clutch shot.
Can't believe this was nearly 11 years ago, still feel like it was yesterday😭This will forever hold a place in my heart. Love you Dirk, thank you for all the beautiful memories you gave us. 💙
One of my favorite players of all time and reason I started playing basketball and gained a love for the game. I was so happy when they won the championship. Well deserved, good times.
Dirk played his heart out in this Finals playing one of the most dominant teams ever, one of the greatest performances and players in the history of the NBA
I rooted against the mavs every. single. series. That year and now it's one of my all time favorite post season runs accross all sports. In hindsight Dirk was unstoppable and he pulled the mavs nuts out of the burning coals time after time. Legendary performances
What you really have to admire about Dirk is his *insanely* good work ethics. What a lot of people who only look at his Fade-Aways and his Dunks don't realize: Dirk puts in *absurd* amounts of time to be such a good shooter, especially when it comes to 3 pointers and free throws ! A lot of other stars are notoriously awful at free throws because they feel it's "beneath" them to constantly grind away at a skill that doesn't get shown on highlight reels and doesn't get the crowd hyped. Dirk, however, understands how important every single point is to actually *win* games !
@Nelson Du That's interesting as there's a German documentary that showed how Dirk was training in every off-season to pick up new skills together with his coach Holger Geschwindner. He often traveled back to his hometown where Geschwindner would show him new moves and try and come up with ideas to make up for a loss of speed that came with age. So as far as I know, the opposite is the case; Dirk was often putting in a lot of work during the offseason.
Huge Mavs and Dirk fan here, but every year he doesn’t even touch a basketball for a couple months straight during the offseason. Got to be one of the few nba players who does that. Also has barely ever lifted weights in his career..I think he does a lot of flexibility and maybe plyometrics. Anyway, he definitely does not spend his offseasons grinding, at least not before his late thirties.
Mad respect for this man.. Trully one of NBA's great players.. Dirk trully deserve this 2011 NBA ring after all those hardships and failures encountered through out his NBA journey..
When the Superteam with the selfproclaimed Goat and 3 Superstar franchise players, got walloped by a team of collection of ragtag guys only with just 1 superstar. What a moment! This is True hard road to win a championship what Dirk went through
Remember when Wade and Lebron were mocking him when he got sick? And then he buried them? As a Lakers fan, I've always hated the Mavs, but this was a remarkable run. HOF'er for sure.
Birdman didn't play for the Heat then, they had Joel Anthony, Haslem and Bosh. The best of those defensively was Anthony, but none could guard Nowitzki 1 on 1. Not sure what Spo's and Riley's plan was, they probably didn't think they'd play the Mavs in the finals, but they did, and Dirk killed them. Dude is an all-time scorer, and he showed it there.
JOsh, he was unguardable... lol no one on the blazers could stop him, no one on the thunder could stop him, and no one on the lakers could, the back 2 back champs lakers got swept
First Ballot...no question about it! He's the closest we've seen to Bird in a long time. It was a joy to watch him play - even though they slaughtered my Lakers this year they won it all
You don't have to have a team full of superstars.. just a team with players that know their jobs with no egos.. Dirk was the only super star,Terry was a six man of the year,Chandler won dpoy before so he good on defense and rebounds..kidd one of the best PG in the NBA,Marion was pretty good to..
Didn’t really watch his regular season but as they swept my lakers and won the title I realized this was the greatest post season performance I have ever witnessed. Wouldn’t be denied
The most earned ring in NBA history.
@larryearnshawjriii No MJ… Young Shaq.
@Terence Fletcher Eh… The Warriors collapsed due to defense fatigue, and losing Draymond for most of the series which was their defensive star… also it was just one series, Dirk played against tough teams back to back to back.
or hakeem
@Terence Fletcher I see that to a degree but that 73-9 team could argue the suspension of draymond green, along with fatigue of that type of season could of caused that lost, dirk beat a young kd and Russ, a dominant lakers team at the time with Kobe, then to beat a Lebron led heats just puts it over the top, especially his team being picked to lose each series, he ain’t have no Kyrie on his team, with all the favors from the refs on his side nah
I’d argue the 2016 Cavs winning a 3-1 comeback against a record breaking 73-9 team is more deserving
People don't realize that this dude is on the top 10 all time scoring list.
Iconic one-footed fadeaway.
Greatest International player of all time!
@Domonic Decoco He's still considered international even though he became a naturalized U.S citizen.

@Marco Hubner dirk better than Hakeem😆😆?
That's a bad joke my dude!!🤦🏿♂️
21 years, one team, and one ring. Thank you Dirk. Greatest Maverick of all time.
luka is going to give his career a run for his money which i never thought i’d say.
Of course it will be debatable. In 10 years Luka could very well be deemed the better player. Hes a revolutionary talent, don’t be dum.
@Jason Muska Luka is the only player with the ball in his hands on his team. Obviously his stats will be padded, but he still wont pass Dirk in points. Let that sink in.
@Jimmy Gan 🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐
don't forget the defensive player on the floor JJ barea who locked down Bron to only 8 points
1 superstar vs 3 superstars and he won. THE LEGEND.
Actually 2 superstars since lechina disappeared from the finals
A comment with 0 basketball knowledge
@Jonathan Fan Letrump? Bruh you good?
@Milos Popovic Dallas had a great supportive cast. Tyson Chandler doing the dirty work and rim protection. Shawn Marion guarding Lebron. JKidd and Barea good ball control, Jason Terry getting hot off the bench. And Dirk being the best player in that series
@sstarlin garcia you on drugs or what
I‘m from Germany and I had the best time in my life during this Series. Woke up at night to watch the Games, went very tired to work. But at least with a big smile. And I cried when he won his ring, he is my hero!
Legend one of the best performances ever
@Vivienne Duong dirks ring is amazing but dont discredit lebron calling him a ring chaser when he alone is a goddamn superteam, he goes to any team with a decent player all of a sudden people call that shit a superteam
I rather have Dirk’s one ring then rings chaser LBJ, however many he has, in a heartbeat.
Dallas thanks you! Please stay a fan.
Same here! It still gives me goose bumps. He played his heart out. Nothing but respect. Er ist und bleibt einer der größten Spieler aller Zeiten 41-21-1 - mehr muss man nicht sagen! 🤜🤛
One of the most well-deserved titles of all-time.
Accurately put !
I remember when we watched that last game here in germany. People who never watch basketball came together and witnessed that moment at 4am in the morning. All the bars were packed. Dirk is just such a legend.
Sweep the LA dynasty, defeat the young KD+ westbeast + harden, then conquered the Miami Heat Big Three! What a championship run
I salute him
nah the la part wasnt that big. lakers were banged up from 3 straight trips to the finals. also lebron wasnt himself
Blazers arguably gave them their toughest test. They matched up well against the Mavs.
Westbrick? Lol...
Don't forget the Portland series
Still one of the best finals. The ageing Mavs managed to get the ring. Much respect with these guys. Been waiting for these since 2006 finals lost. It’s really worth the win. Thanks Dirk!
Us Kings fans vicariously live through you.
One of the most beautiful signature shots ever. Not "for a big man" - one of the most complete, well-rounded, unguardable shots, PERIOD.
Dirk one legged fade away is like to Kareem Sky hook, cant be blocked. Might miss but can't be blocked. Vince once blocked dirk but it wasn't the legendary one legged, still a great accomplishment to block a 7 footer though.
The lone star that defeated a trio of superstars.
That doesnt even tell the story. They defeated all the superstars that post season.
@L.I.V. da Brand Man I was extremely depressed 10 months ago
Cowboy up 🤠
@mike wazowski nice
You could save he was a true maverick.
32:39 damm dirk what a humble guy...standing behind the team when he was the man of his team..those guys had to drag him out to carry the trophy
lyhthegreat I,liked Brendan Haywood calls dirk at the back to get the trophy..dirk is very humble guy
That season Dirk was the best basketball player on Earth. He didn't sustain it very long but for that year no one was better, not LBJ, Kobe, KD, no one.
no fuckin 1
He peaked in 2011
@LightStorm33 78u
@LightStorm33 rrt7
NAH
LEGEND!!!!
Dirk Nowitzki. MVP, Finals MVP, took has team to 2 finals without another superstar, iconic fadeaway, transformed the big man position.
(And other notable players as Nicolas Batum & Patty Mills.)
Then a 4-0 sweep of the Los Angeles Lakers in the second round, over players as Kobe Bryant, Pau Gasol, Andrew Bynum, Derek Fisher & Metta World Peace. (And other notable players as Lamar Odom & Matt Barnes.)
Next, a 4-1 gentleman sweep over the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Conference Finals, against players as Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, James Harden, Serge Ibaka & Kendrick Perkins. (And other notable players as Nate Robinson & Thabo Sefolosha.)
And then finally they beat the three headed hydra from the Miami Heat with a 4-2 record to secure it all. A well fought victory over players as LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Udonis Haslem & Eddie House. (And other notable players as Jerry Stackhouse, Mike Miller, Jamaal Magloire, Juwan Howard, Zydrunas Ilgauskas & Mike Bibby.)
Just look at the star studded list they all beat, just incredible. Not just their final opponent, but their whole Playoffs run was against great to amazing teams.
Just one of a kind, the Dallas Mavericks of 2011.
kidd's missed shot, rebound and assist on that shot against all that atleticism at like 40 years old, just remarkable.
11:33
I remember this as one of the best overall finals series by any play...that's as good as Dirk has ever played he was in such a zone it was crazy. Ppl always act like Dallas magically won because LeBron was horrible he wasn't horrible but he definitely was only playing like a semi all-star instead of super goaty like when he played Warriors
All I really remember about this Finals is how absolutely unstoppable Dirk was...It felt like he literally never missed! Glad he got him one 🏆
I feel we will Never have another Dirk. He is the best part of Dallas and he holds this City's heart forever
What a great player Dirk was free throw, 3 point line, post up, driving to the basket wow
Everyone needs a 2nd superstar to win a title... except Dirk
@Bruh Bruh 😂😂😂😂😂😂
And Hakeem…
Shawn Merrion, Jason Kidd, Tyson Chandler..stop reaching and claiming YOUR opinion is facts lol
@BuildEli Stop, he was like 38
Top 5 all time point guard 🫣
Dirk put this team on his back and willed himself and his team an NBA championship. An Iconic performance and one of the all time greats.
Dirk redefined what it means to leave it all on the court that season. Incredible!
Man was on a mission that whole playoffs. One of the best playoff runs ever.
Easily one of the best playoff runs ever. The man was on a mission.
Dirk is going to be that player I will be telling my grandchildren about.
@Jimmie Stevens stfu flight
@Jimmie Stevens you're joking right?
Me to
@Jimmie Stevens stfu
he is not that great. stop it.
Dirk was such an outstanding and dominant player that he single-handedly led Germany team to medals on 2002 World Cup & 2005 Eurobasket. It was amazing to watch him doing that. 👏
Dirk is such a class player ..I put so much respect for that one ring he earned..one of the greatest..
El temperamento de Dirk es notable. Cuanta determinación y esfuerzo. Danke Dirk!
Dirk was unstoppable during that playoff run.
This guy is a hall of famer hands down arguablly the best international player of all time
@Derrion Arrington Dirk better shooter
Derrion Arrington hey I just want you to know how fucking stupid you are
Nope, luka.
@Derrion Arrington saying all of that ..hakeem is just better matter where u turn keem is better he's better in 90% of the game more than dirk
MANU?
imo this is one of the greatest feats in SPORTS history let alone nba history. this was on another level .
Prior to 2011, people used to call Dirk soft
Never again, after this championship run
One of the most epic run ever
Game 2 was a truly incredible comeback to watch. One of my favorite basketball games ever
I am a Kings fan but I own a Dirk jersey, I have so much respect for this guy!
Witnessing Dirk carry this Mavericks team to victory in 2011 was the most intense and exciting basketball I've ever had the pleasure of watching. Dirk epitomizes loyalty and class; he deserved every bit of that championship and nobody can argue with that.
Such a great series
Dirk is an ALL TIME GREAT!!! facebook.com/groups/967348520070287/
@Asmosis Jones stern broke up the Mavericks after their title win....he did it so lebron could get championships
i always get a boner when i see that fourth quarter of game 2. so much dedication and skill. that was one team not a bunch of players
razkable Terry would have been MVP in '06 had we won (which we should've) but not in 2011. Dirk earned that all the way.
Have been a Mavs' fan since I started to watch and play basketball. Looking at Dirk getting old, and then coming back to watch this video, I don't know why I have tears in my eyes.
such a humble person.well deserve!true legend.
Dirk in this series is literally me in 2k my career.. what a 🐐
I am watching this video every year, just miss this guy so much, this is really beautiful basketball.
Dirk is a legend, this year was amazing. Cleveland vs. Golden State has been boring compared 2 this series.
a legendary NBA player to be remembered Dirk Nowitzki #41❤️❤️❤️
He was so locked in ! You could see it in his eyes 🔥🏆
Dirk's run in 2011 was one of the most spectacular moments of basketball i've witnessed. Really solidified his status as a legend in the NBA that season.
@Oliver Queen yeah and it was especially special because they lost to the heats in the finals in 2006 and they were actually had the lead...
James O x
10:56 "Not a lot of contact there" I know the foul was called there, but it's interesting how often jumping straight up on defense is called as fouls now too
It’s February 2019 and I’m still watching 2011 NBA Finals Highlights!!! This Finals was so intense!! Had me jumping!!! Dirks 2011 championship > Warriors Championships
People don't realize the mavs were the underdogs in every series.. swept kobe pau.. beat kd harden westbrook.. portland.. and lebron Bosh and wade. RESPECT
Well deserved mvp and nba title to this dude👍
You simply cannot hate on Dirk
@M you probably spent 20 minutes for that comment, defending the sport you love, and you called it "soccer"?
@M *Football
@M who the hell cares?
You can hate on young Dirk
BIGGER BETTER REAL NBA GROUP!!! facebook.com/groups/967348520070287/
Easily one of the greatest individual sport performances in german history ...
I mean c'mon....Lebron wasn't even around Miami in 2006 when they won....dont be a hater bud
Lebron has dominated the NBA for a decade....u cant win a title every time u play in the finals
Even Jordan had 6 rings out of his 14 seasons in the NBA....they both are humans at last
@Professionally Correct I know.
@Pwimetime He was messing with him; they're friends. That's not Kevin Garnett type of "trash talk" we're referring to bud.
If I'm not mistaken dirk turned down lakers and rockets offer and cut down his salary just to stay in dallas. Respect.
He mocked Gasol on twitter by posting Gasol being dunked on by Vucevic
I haven't seen this since 2011 and I still love and enjoy seeing it Dirk is one of my favorite players ever
My favorite finals of all time dirk was amazing carried the team with no allstars
8:22 arremesso lindo de 3 (5 bola saindo la do alto)
8:44 giro e bandeja
10:02 o dirk: marca registrada dele
10:25 footwork deixando lebron na saudade (2- fazendo fake)
12:42 upfront (1- De frente pra cesta)
13:50 girando (3- girando)
28:34 (d- outras formas inusitadas)
30:07 tb é inusitado ou improviso
I literally watch this a few times a year to never forget how unreal his run was .
Same.... i could still remmebr this series so well
One of my favorite players of all time and reason I started playing basketball and gained a love for the game. I was so happy when they won the championship. Well deserved, good times.
Dirk was lights out insane during the 2011 playoffs!
Dirk played his heart out in this Finals playing one of the most dominant teams ever, one of the greatest performances and players in the history of the NBA
+Chris Rodriguez the shot at 140 he was barely off the ground.
+SXI96 that shot he hit on bosh at the end of game 3 he was practically layin doen backwards
The arch on his shot is impossible to block, damn
Dirk was unbelievable and unstoppable this year.
I will never forget this amazing moment
So humble, so loyal, so effective... love him.
What a lot of people who only look at his Fade-Aways and his Dunks don't realize:
Dirk puts in *absurd* amounts of time to be such a good shooter, especially when it comes to 3 pointers and free throws !
A lot of other stars are notoriously awful at free throws because they feel it's "beneath" them to constantly grind away at a skill that doesn't get shown on highlight reels and doesn't get the crowd hyped.
Dirk, however, understands how important every single point is to actually *win* games !
@Nelson Du fake news
@Zeedo shaq
Never heard a player say it's beneath them before.
wow... this guy is really one of the best player of all time indeed.I'm so missing you dirk !!! one foot jump shot is untouchable...
This was one of the last playoff runs i actually enjoyed watching. Diggler put on a clinic in these playoffs👍👍
Probably the best championship run of my lifetime. Was a pleasure to watch. Nowitzki was stroking everything, was incredible team play as well
Remembering the good old days when Dirk was on his prime.
Mad respect for this man.. Trully one of NBA's great players.. Dirk trully deserve this 2011 NBA ring after all those hardships and failures encountered through out his NBA journey..
what amazing shooting skills, I can watch this guy shooting for days. DIRK the best Power Forward i have ever seen!
man I'm getting chills still lol.. King Dirk the 🐐
When the Superteam with the selfproclaimed Goat and 3 Superstar franchise players, got walloped by a team of collection of ragtag guys only with just 1 superstar. What a moment! This is True hard road to win a championship what Dirk went through
Remember when Wade and Lebron were mocking him when he got sick? And then he buried them? As a Lakers fan, I've always hated the Mavs, but this was a remarkable run. HOF'er for sure.
As a Kobe fan I respect Dirk but never can watch the coward, LBJ.
Lakers haven’t been the same since the sweep,
Fk Wade.
This would be bulls vs Mavs. If LeBron didn't go to Miami.
I believe it was a back inury, and they were all whining when everyone was making fun of LeBron for getting cramps.
Whataburger is definitely better.
@iraqsmansor Dirk>>>>Wade. Fact.
Dirk and the Mavericks arguably had the greatest championship run in NBA history
Mike Breen said it best in the end. After so many playoff disappointments from 2006-2010, we finally made it.
That fadeaway thought 🔥🔥🔥
one of the moments that I will not forget in my entire life, Dirk Nowitzki is the best!
Dirk was literally unstoppable in 2011. No one could guard him NO ONE!!!
how about lechoke leflop lebum lecry leclown letrash? 😅
@maharajahdann lmao thought lechock can guard 1-5 HAHAHA lechock was scared to guard old dirk. lmao
+HE was hurt throughout the series.
JOsh, he was unguardable... lol no one on the blazers could stop him, no one on the thunder could stop him, and no one on the lakers could, the back 2 back champs lakers got swept
First Ballot...no question about it! He's the closest we've seen to Bird in a long time. It was a joy to watch him play - even though they slaughtered my Lakers this year they won it all
That rainbow 3 at the 25:10 mark or so - still one of my favorite highlights of his. The crowd reaction, the arc on the ball - just perfect.
And hit nothing but the buttom of the net!
Wouldn’t be denied
easily one of the best Finals performances of all time. Ridiculously clutch down the stretches
One of the best I've seen play, Dirk!! 👏
I loved dirk hes so humble and awesome shooter
