Theres a man that's been digging a house out below using nothing but RC construction vehicles. That is crazy.
Hes been going years. Using the biggest best RC trucks they're capable little things. I did rc as a hobby for 12yrs but never saw those things for sale there so specialist probably cost $3000+ each for the cheap ones. And it truly is a mini construction site.

i guess now you have access from inside the house you could add a comms line down there too or your own networked phone system 😂 needs to be a security hatch too otherwise people could get into your house from the shed 😃 maybe a pin coded hatch ? suppose would have to be on both sides then too.. mind you if power went out pin code thingy wouldnt work ? hmm curious!

Watching this, I can't help but think of all those tunnels made under borders, such as the one's between Mexico and various states of the USA. One of them was over 1.3km long. It included a rail track system, ventilation, elevator and high voltage cabling. One tunnel ran between a restaurant in Mexico to a home in California. Which is certainly one way to get your dinner delivered.

Right edge of the closet, right edge of the tunnel. Incredible. I didn't think that it was going to line up. I know the videos don't show the entire process but I never saw you using a laser level or a compass or string line or any kind of levelling device the entire time, so I have no idea how you knew in what direction to dig. Would be awesome to see a shorter length video breaking this process down!

I'm curious about potential subsidence on your house and would love to see whether you have to used some beefy lintels or whether you're low enough for it not to have an effect on the external wall, I take it you've had the structural engineers in to do some of the maths!

I could definitely see you making a pop out set of skateboards to get down the tunnel faster now. I know you said you were going to remove the tracks, but it would be pretty fun to zip around the tunnel in some fashion as well. Great work, and awesome job, keep it up!

Unless you are sleeping in them they fall under war prep so the less paperwork the less of a target they are. That said insane basements have become popular in big towns that have height restrictions as you can get 2+ levels down in most areas the full size of the land thanks to grinder pumps to lift the waste to the main drain connection.
