Lnu, I don’t know if you understand but you literally carried my younger childhood. I have been watching you since 2014 and I was not expecting you to ever come back. Take all the time you need and i know this comeback bout to go down in history. Mental illness is real and about a few months ago I was diagnosed with anxiety and depression and I found out myself, and people don’t know how hard it is to express your feelings on the internet. Bipolar especially has a stigma. There’s medicine that can help with manic episodes. Sorry about getting depressed as well. Hang in there and know your support system.
Everyone should internalize Greg's message and honesty. Psychological struggles are more widespread than most of us want to admit. Success in a given area can often unmask otherwise latent deep-seated issues rather than ameliorate them. Greg's story parallels my own in many ways. I've had successes all the way through a postdoctoral position at Harvard and career positions in scientific/medical communications thereafter. But mood instability has hampered me for long periods as well, including wanting to expand to public outreach via posting vids on Clip-Share but instead I've had to work on myself for a long time before being ready for any of that. For any of you out there struggling too, that's just part of the ebb and flow of life. It's harder for some and easier for others. But we all have our cross to bear. Like Greg suggested to all of us, proactively provide acts of kindness-no matter how small-to those who may be going through hard times. And consider also extending kindness to anyone who seems to be doing well because in many cases they are also going through struggles. Most importantly, be sure to be kind to yourself and see if you can be your own best friend rather than your worst enemy. These adjustments take time. But it's worth it.
The pervasive ennui ever-present amongst a society with an approximate 53 million people suffering from mental illness serves to corroborate your expressed need for a universal acknowledgement of this very real and endemic problem. My only gripe remains with the fact that all of us collectively remain complicit in the suppression of these issues. Be it in the societal inclination to encourage apathetic dispositions particularly amongst men, Healthcare providers and the inaccessibility of mental health treatment in tandem with insurance companies trivializing these very real disorders, or of course in the innumerable horror stories of patients suffering maltreatment, experiencing disappointment and/or feeling their internal conflict aggravate when undergoing treatment. All of us give our condolences, words of support and expressions of encouragement when somebody speaks of their issues yet this system acts in a manner directly antithetical to the reconciliation and subsequent recovery from these ills. Nevertheless, while the needed effort must be comprehensive and multifaceted, I have faith that the foundations to consummate such an effort are being made. We've moved from once relegating afflicted individuals to asylums, to now having created assessment plans for even the most inexplicable and harsh arrays of mental malignancies. It's all a matter of making things accessible

lnu man u carried my childhood when i was younger. now i'm a senior boutta head off to college in a few months. ur impact on me and so many is grand to say the least. i too fell into a deep depression with anxiety issues and had to go to a rehab type place and the ER for a few weeks. staying strong, sticking thru, and improving/helping urself is great. it rly does change ur life's perspective on literally EVERYTHING. i'm so glad ur doing better now LNU and proud of u for fighting, ik how hard the struggle is. can't wait for the vids in the future man love u lnu 🙌

The fact seeing you come back from being diagnosed with Bipolar is really something. Personally me, I have autism and do go through depression, but my sister is just like you. And right now, she's up doing so much. Going through jobs, going through Uni for criminology, has a great boyfriend and she's even about to be maid of honor at my wedding but she's so frightened since my dad will be there and he really hurt her before. So to see her go through all this and come out on top is so great. And it's the same for you Greg. People watched your vids for fun. I was one of them. And it's great to see ya come back.

Like you said you could be in a crowd of people and still feel alone because nobody understands the way you feel inside but now we do or at least somewhat. As someone who has struggled with depression their entire life I understand how hard it can be to come out and say something like this. Greg, you aren’t alone. We are around the same age and when I was in HS your videos definitely helped me. I was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder last year and felt the same way that you did. However, going to therapy weekly helps. I do feel those lows, but having healthy outlets ( for you YT) has helped me. Can’t wait to see your comeback, we are in this together!

Everyone should internalize Greg's message and honesty. Psychological struggles are more widespread than most of us want to admit. Success in a given area can often unmask otherwise latent deep-seated issues rather than ameliorate them. Greg's story parallels my own in many ways. I've had successes all the way through a postdoctoral position at Harvard and career positions in scientific/medical communications thereafter. But mood instability has hampered me for long periods as well, including wanting to expand to public outreach via posting vids on Clip-Share but instead I've had to work on myself for a long time before being ready for any of that. For any of you out there struggling too, that's just part of the ebb and flow of life. It's harder for some and easier for others. But we all have our cross to bear. Like Greg suggested to all of us, proactively provide acts of kindness-no matter how small-to those who may be going through hard times. And consider also extending kindness to anyone who seems to be doing well because in many cases they are also going through struggles. Most importantly, be sure to be kind to yourself and see if you can be your own best friend rather than your worst enemy. These adjustments take time. But it's worth it.

All of us give our condolences, words of support and expressions of encouragement when somebody speaks of their issues yet this system acts in a manner directly antithetical to the reconciliation and subsequent recovery from these ills. Nevertheless, while the needed effort must be comprehensive and multifaceted, I have faith that the foundations to consummate such an effort are being made. We've moved from once relegating afflicted individuals to asylums, to now having created assessment plans for even the most inexplicable and harsh arrays of mental malignancies. It's all a matter of making things accessible

The fact seeing you come back from being diagnosed with Bipolar is really something. Personally me, I have autism and do go through depression, but my sister is just like you. And right now, she's up doing so much. Going through jobs, going through Uni for criminology, has a great boyfriend and she's even about to be maid of honor at my wedding but she's so frightened since my dad will be there and he really hurt her before. So to see her go through all this and come out on top is so great. And it's the same for you Greg. People watched your vids for fun. I was one of them. And it's great to see ya come back.

Since this is Clip-Share comments I’ll try to keep it short. First off I just wanna say I appreciate the fact you are bringing awareness to this kind of stuff. Like you said you could be in a crowd of people and still feel alone because nobody understands the way you feel inside but now we do or at least somewhat. As someone who has struggled with depression their entire life I understand how hard it can be to come out and say something like this. When this happens the believer receives the righteousness of Christ in place of their own unrighteousness (all sins are forgiven) and this makes them saved (going heaven) and they are born again as a Christian. (Romans 3:25-26),
