    Some of those cheap lasers that you can get off of eBay or wish are sometimes WAY more powerful than they are advertised. If the guy who bought the laser got unlucky (well, the player really), he could've instantly blinded him.

    Fans should be banned, fined and prosecuted if they're going to use what could potentially be considered an energy weapon on anyone, let alone athletes in an attempt to influence the results of a fair game

    They have news cameras all over the stadium. Have the DA collect all the footage and see what charges can be filed. Lasers can damage the retina, so it could be considered a form of assault.
