  • Joe Young

Well thought, well spoken, well fought, and always entertaining. I think this fight was the culmination of Cory harnessing everything he’s been feeling since the flying knee on Edgar. With TJ, we saw the violence, but he wasn’t quite as in touch. A lot of high risk high reward when i don’t believe it was necessary for him to be in a winning situation. Against Yan, I think we saw a vast improvement on that, but unfortunately it was a very short notice fight and even if he won’t make that excuse for himself, it’s understandable. With Yadong everything started coming together and his performance against chito was near flawless. Always tough waiting to see more from this guy

  • The Guvnor

Seems like Chito's gameplans lately have been to let guys tee off on him until they tire but Sandhagen never even looked winded in there! Props to coach Parillo trying to encourage Marlon in-between rounds but nothing could have stopped Corey last Saturday. Already seeing excuses like Chito beat himself. Why can't a guy just be better for once?

    • Jordan
      Jordan 2 months ago +8

@Qtards unite for Ben dover not self absorbed. but very self aware. people that are highly cerebral in life do struggle more day to day because of the heightened awareness. those who know, can see it in others sometimes. cerebral people try to hide how aware they are often times with surface level discussion, smiling a lot, maybe jokes, a character (eluding to colby here) it can be many things but the point is most people dont vibe well with people who are "nerotic" as cory put it. and yes, its very inspirational to all the extremely thoughtful people.

@MMA CAT Chitos one of the fighters that doesn’t have a plan and tries too game plan in the fight, he’s naturally a slow starter and likes too read people. Which against Cory he needed to FIGHT FIGHT aka turn it into a fast paced kick boxing match. But someone as smart as Cory who’s mixing in takedowns, flying knees, and great kicks keeps you thinking and slow to engage. Did I mention the best foot work in the division?

    • Alan

@MMA CAT maybe because people are trying to take away that Cory is simply better in all aspects. Yes Chito can improve, but he was a deer in the headlights, currently lost in his game plan.

Only defense the ufc has about the commission and things like that is the sport is so dam young compared to other major sports that are dam need a century old. MMA and especially the ufc is around 30 years old and they’re growing so much quick then they probably ever expected. In 60-70 years I can imagine how much these fighters will be making and how fine tuned this sport and promotion will be
