I was never a huge Cure fan, never disliked them and always respected the talent. Now as a father I play this song for my daughters when i pick them up from school on Fridays and it s a huge hit for us all. It is so magical and fun. Also as an adult it reminds me of how fun love can be even at my old age. i have grown more respect and admiration to other Cure songs too. You all rock. Thank you for giving us amazing music to live our lives to!

Oh God, I can’t believe I found it. The intro from this song was always playing during the morning news on a local radio station where I lived when I was a little kid. I heard it almost every day before school for several years and I really loved it. When I grew up I tried to found it but didn’t know how. I even tried humming it to Shazam, but obviously it didn’t work. 😅 And now 20 years later all of the sudden Clip-Share recommended this video to me. When my mom was a teenager in the 80s, she loved The Cure. They are one of her favorite bands. She always wanted to see them in concert, but they stopped touring until recently. I managed to get her tickets to the concert in Atlanta for all of us to go to. Let’s just say that my mom is very happy❤️

In high school, I always had problems memorizing the days of the week (I'm Italian). I never learned them. One day I listened to this song. I loved it and learned the lyrics just by listening to it. And then it occurred to me. If I remember this song, then I ALREADY know the days of the week. I'm 35 and I STILL sing this in my mind when I have to remember the days. Good music always help, and this song is really a masterpiece.

I’ve never really been in a relationship, and the closest thing I have to someone special to share my life with is my cat Frodo, but tbh it’s ok because this song can be about more then just people. For people who have been alone there whole lives, this song truly is still beautiful and helps. The cure is a godsend to us all. They really are The cure.

I've listened to this every Friday for the past 22 years.

This song played at my high school in the hallways when I was in a deeply resentful and bruised period of my life. I hated the song at first but these days I have a new context towards it. I love 80s music.

One of those rare songs that escaped the shackles of it's generation and continues to soar free.

The Cure has been my cure any day of the week! Their songs will take you out of your griefs and anxiety, while freeing you from depression. I’ve been a sufferer of misery my whole life. From childhood cancer, kidney disease as an adult, while also having surgery to remove a brain tumor the size of my hand I passed away. Several hours later I awoke to scare the nurse, who said the doc is on his way to declare my death! I was shocked. The doc and I laughed. I was depressed soon afterward because I had to learn to walk and talk again. The week I got home my wife left me. She had heard the doc say it’ll take me 8 to 10 months to recover. I had some complications and returned to the doc and he found another tumor. Thank god it was small. I was in gamma knife surgery a few days later. I went blind and deaf afterwards on the right side. I had no one to help me recover but my folks. So with $250,000 in doc bills and medical debt I went bankrupt. It’s taken me 10+ years to recover. But its the Cure that’s help uplift me from deep depression. Love The Cure 💕

This song makes me feel like I am in love even when I'm not

This song has really bittersweet memories for me. I first heard it when I moved to Sheffield for university in 2010 and my flatmate introduced The Cure to me during freshers week. We were both doing geography and ended up spending nearly all of our time together. We'd listen to this song every night when we were getting ready to go out and it never got old. One Friday night we were in Leadmill and this song came on, she was at the bar and I was coming out of the bathroom and it was our instinct to both find each other and dance to it. We were so happy. She passed away in a car accident a couple of months later. I can't hear this song without seeing her face in that club. It's so mundane but it was genuinely one of the happiest moments of my life.

I don't think I could've handled half of my early years if not for The Cure. Their songs were ethereal and touched so many of my emotions. I have friends who have teenagers now and they find the same solace in The Cure's music. Truly timeless beautiful music

We loved The Cure, and still do. 80s was the best in music and entertainment in general. I recall we even saw them in concert, unfortunately for this one, we got nose bleed seats in the MSG, NYC all the way in the back, so we just listened to the music and met a whole bunch of cool people. I just turned 57 and still enjoy this music and what great memories it brings back every time.

I was never into this when it came out. However the more that time goes on in this crazy world, thr more appealing this song becomes and is now one of my favourite songs.

The Cure was by far my favorite Punk group - not over the top sex pistols stuff- just relatable. They defined a really happy time for me, which involved a lot of fast times as well. Somehow, I survived it and look back on the 80's with great memories.

It's hard to believe that there were times when music of this caliber was mainstream.

I remember listening to this song when it was new. I had this on cassette tape. I was never a big Cure fan, but really appreciated several of their songs. This is my favorite Cure song. I had some friends in High School who were big Cure fans. I was much more of a Depeche Mode fan. I danced to this at school dances. I always cranked up the volume when I heard this on the radio. This brings back great memories of the 80's and early 90's. Thank you.

This song is very nostalgic to me and I'll never forget it.
I remember I was in charge of the lighting, curtains and music during my year 6 play which was one of the very last events at my primary school (elementary for people in the US)
I'll never forget the strange but nice feeling I got from closing the curtains after the final scene and slowly turning up the volume to put on this song as everyone was getting up to cheer and congratulate their kids.
That was over 7 years ago, time sure does go by too quickly
