Lol, Linus would be bouncing off the walls, throwing hardware on the floor, joking around with his mates and here we have Marques being so gentle, doing an ASMR voice, pre-checking his build. Just so professional. Not used to this. :D

@Exil Desert Part of it is probably his true character. I don't think they could be "in-character" consistently for so many videos if he's not a more frantic personality type in real life.

      Exil Desert Month ago +1

@You done goofed It's just weird how inane he acts just for the camera. Like, who is he appealing to with that personality? He could still keep his eccentric personality without having to be a goofball for the views

You should flip your top fans to exhaust (14:47) x5 120mm intakes and only x1 120mm rear exhaust is definitely some positive pressure.

    • Manjushri
      Manjushri 23 days ago

Eh, little extra positive pressure keeps dust out lol. The parts he has probably won't be creating tons of heat buildup anyway with 6 fans going and the AIO. But it would look nicer, so either way prob works fine.

@ItzMalick if you really ARE trying to get in this mega arena these days, start completely honed in to ONE thing at a time. Be flexible however, within that one thing to no either alienate or scare away potential viewers and therefore, potential subs. My daughter is 12 making cartoons on her Ipad and has 100's of subs because I help her navigate the world of youtube, and the people that watch it. It also teaches life lessons about heartbreaks, striving to be something, work towards goals, and many others, who said content creators at a young age cant be a good thing lol

"tubes at the top" is actually fine, as long as the top of the radiator is mounted higher than the CPU block. You just don't want the pump in the CPU block to be the highest point of the loop where air bubbles can accumulate and damage the pump.

    • Evacody124
      Evacody124 2 months ago

@RiceCube Tech I won't by the ARC GPUs until Intel can show that drivers won't be an issue even then they would need to put something out that can do 1440p to 4k gaming.

    • Evacody124
      Evacody124 2 months ago

@SlamTheFart 3060ti can do about 1440p gaming in this case vram does not mean a thing.

    • Evacody124
      Evacody124 2 months ago

@Mees de Vries they are going to give it to him first over Hardware Unboxed or Gamers Nexus because those two channels hold nothing back when it comes to PC parts if it's bad they say so.
MKBHD won't bad mouth Intel other wise they won't give him nice stuff same goes with Apple.

      UtterlyRandom 2 months ago

@SlamTheFart Doesn't matter when a 3060 is still faster lmao. It also got 12g of ram and both are 1440p cards, so it doesn't matter if the A770 has 16

5:47 Try to never push the RAM down like this. If you do it this way and your weight shifts in either direction, you could crack the slot and/or the teeth of the RAM.
I recommend installing RAM with your thumb and middle fingers supporting on both sides; then push down with your index fingers.

12:31 I almost wanted to say "mine", but on my build I found out that the case fans were molex... after I had mounted the modular power supply.
There's always something to improve, but mine went without any hitch bigger then 'needing to find the molex to power supply cable'.
After finishing the build I found out I had an old fan header->molex, but that would've made the front look less pretty.

@By C If it was greed they would be doing the opposite you dumbass, trying to gain more for themselves and not helping others. They are supporting each other knowing it benefits them all because they are not competing with each other, they are competing with other types of channels like vlogging channels etc. If they had your narrow minded point of view a lot of the smaller tech channels would die out but LTT and MB would survive. they are big enough to not need to do these kinda collabs to survive. They litereally do it cos they think it is healthy for the community, rising tide raises all ships, even though they dont need it.

What kind of enemies would you be friend with, and throw money at them too? It's almost like... they actually appreciate each others and their work... or something... Get out of here with your misplaced cynicism

Hopefully Intel's ARC series can take off. The more competition in the GPU (or any) market is always better for consumers be it for pricing or companies innovating for better designs to one up each other.
Its fine to have a preferred brand but just remember people, Corporations just want your money.

the tubes at the top are probably the best place to have them as they will most likely be above the pump which is what you want. You want the pump to be below the inlet and outlet tubes on the radiator that way you don't get air that gets trapped in the pump.

It's actually completely fine to have the tubes at the highest position. If air is trapped there, it's not a problem. What you shouldn't do is have the pump/cpu located at a spot so that air can be trapped there. Trapped air will destroy your pump. So mounting your radiator this way was the right choice. If you would have flipped it upside down, with the tubes coming from the bottom, that would've hurt your pump, because this was air could get trapped at your pump.

The special edition Arc A770 has me torn, I'd assume it'll launch around $350-$400 making it not really worth it imo (personally I'd rather spend the extra $100 for a 3070 or 4070 whenever that's announced). With that being said, I think it's a beautiful looking card and it'll be symbolic of Intel's first real step into competing with AMD's and Nvidia's discrete GPUs.

Tubes at the top is perfectly fine as long as part of the radiator is higher than the pump. That way the air will settle in the radiator and not the pump.

You've got talent and a nice approach!
I wondered: why such a huge power supply, while the computer wouldn't draw more than half of its capacities? Isn't that a bit overkill?
Also, intel i9 12th gen CPU + A770 => bottleneck a bit? Is it just because you wanted an "all-intel" build?
