Fun fact: Scam likely are not actual scammers but just renamed numbers that are similar or are a reported number a scammer has used. They replace the number with "Scam Likely" to notify you to keep your guard up if you want to answer.
I know this comment was made a year ago. But on my phone I have a scam shield on and it blocks scam likely numbers. One time one of those scam likely numbers called me 26 time in less than a minute. My phone kept going off telling me that it block a number, when I checked to see why my phone was going off I saw that it block the number. They called 26 freaken times in less then a minute! That's insane!
The trick is never to answer. Don't send them to voicemail, don't hang up, don't pick up. Let the phone ring as you were never there. The moment you press that hang up button is the moment they know you have your phone with you.
the really tricky part is that once you actually decline a call, they know there's a real person they can reach at that phone number. if you let it go to voicemail then you might be dead or have gotten a new number, and depending on your voicemail it might seem like your number is some kinda company burner or something.
You know, this reminds me of one time where I was getting called by scammers non stop, one day, they called me twice, so I was pretty pissed, when I got a third call, I legit yelled: HELLO, like caleb, it was actually a call for a job interview.
I got a call saying that I was related to an international drug dealing chain so they needed my information. I immediately looked out the window and checked my bag as well as my bed to see if I actually had drug or not.

I used to always get calls like this. I told my mom about it and telling her how it was SO ANNOYING. She called the number and it was a random person that picked up and they were barely showing their face 💀
The way to deal with scam callers is to just not answer the phone. Accepting or rejecting the call shows there's a person at the end of the line, but letting it ring will get them to stop within a couple days.
The trick I learn is that if you change the volume while the phone is ringing, it goes silent. From there, let the call go and ignore it. The person calling will think that you weren't at your phone and won't call for a while. If you decline the call, that tells the caller that you are at your phone, and they'll try again.
