The whole studio is sick, but those sound treatments are way more important then people think, and sometimes even just a decent blanket hanging around from somewhere can help cancel the noise a lot. Thanks for showing us this, way cool!

    • scientist100
      scientist100 3 months ago

@LostChances It does have background noise, the AC working in the background if you pay attention using headphones.

    • Siegbert schnösel
Siegbert schnösel 4 months ago +1

You can even hear the diference in this video. There is a summing noise hearable when ever the cam man was behind the "curtains"

    • Vahlir
      Vahlir 4 months ago

for higher freq noise yeah, but you need bass traps which are thicker and deeper traps because the soundwaves are longer and require a different type of capture to eliminated them. If you go overboard with blankets or foam you end up with a very muffled and sometimes even boomy sound stage.

    • Floki
      Floki 4 months ago +1

nobody doubted the importance of the sound treatment measures. You just wanted a reason to voice your opinion so you can feel like you're part of this video. You're not. You got 1.5k likes though which is admirable to a 12 year old.

I have so much respect for how Marques has turned his Clip-Share channel into more of a media production company without loosing the personal youtubeer-feel. And I find myself drooling over the production quality of this channel. All of the professionel gear. I think a lot of people, like myself, see it as a dream job to work for Marques. MKBHD has become a brand in the tech industry and I find it so refreshing to see how they've made a succesful business out of primarily being a Clip-Share channel - something boomers wouldn't understand just a few years ago and still don't. It's easy to predict jobs we might loose to robots but it's difficult to imagine jobs that does not exist yet. Because they do not exist YET. Marques and his team deserve all the praise they get for being so succesful and simultaneously being one of the least drama oriented channels on this platform. They make brilliant content about tech.

30k a month? There’s no doubt in my mind that they make an absolute killing profit wise; and I assume having that deducted from taxes is a bonus but I just always wonder why not purchase your own building at that high of rent.

    • vicky joshi
      vicky joshi Month ago +2

When things or world moving quickly its good idea to rent out instead of buying as you can always go for best requirements. Imagine if he bought one house he will end up upgrading that like Arun does from MrWhosTheBoss.

    • Wouter
      Wouter 4 months ago +38

@Moses Matsepane adding to that, owning your own studio is a lot more work than renting one. Things like security, electricity, reception etc are all being provided so you can focus on your core business

    • Moses Matsepane
Moses Matsepane 4 months ago +67

The only reason you would purchase a Business building is if you’re planning to operate there for 2 decades or more. Or if it will be easy to rent it out when you’re not using it. Renting is a risk mitigation strategy, because unlike a house which is easy to sell at anytime. Warehouses and office buildings are not easy to sell. And because of the low demand and locations, some of them don’t appreciate in value at all.

@BamBiYT I bet almost 100% of people have no idea when a shot was done by the robot, but it becomes the quality that everyone unconciously expects. It's just about having shots that look very natural to the eye, but noone else on Clip-Share can get.

He doesn’t have a slight edge over others, he has a massive edge. He is just being humble. I have seen so many other tech reviews and many of them are amateurs. MKBHD is the only tech reviewer I watch because forget the smartphone he is reviewing. He makes me want the props and other things in his setup.

What i like with mr. MKBDH is that everything is polished, colormatched - it's so smooth, so good. That's a job well-done for him and his team.

    This is next level.
It's a real media company and I bet they are doing business outside youtube.
I would like to see them develop their audiophile side.
They should build an audiophile recording station with mics, preamps and it will be game over.

what I would really like to know is a) How much security they have on that building and b) how effective is the fire suppressant they have there - and would it not damage the equipment ? Thanks

I'd love to see the two of you do a walk and talk with Mango Street. They just popped over the 1M mark on Clip-Share and have re-done their channel multiple times. Could be a RAD story.

Thanks for the information. learning and growing is the only way we can hone our skills and build ourselves. Most interesting thing is that the rich gets Richer because the poor thinks that every opportunity is a scam especially investment like bitcoin, dogecoin, safemoon, gold, silver, crude oil, ethereum, litecoin, bitcoin cash, cardano, polkadot, stellar, chainlink, binance coin,
(BNB) etc. Investing is the surest way to financial freedom.

I had a similar experience with Expert Mr Frank , My initial investment capital was $1000 but made $4,200 as profit in just the first week of trade. It was very big for me considering the fact that have lost money in the past trying to trade on my own.

i think it is great that you visit various creators workplaces so we can get a peek in and feel like we are part of the community.
The first time I heard of Marques was then he visited Neistats studio in NY...
30 years ago I worked as a studio manager for a photographer based in Sweden (we shot for Volvo, Mercedes and other brands) and would feel comfortable in Marques studio.
One thing, dont they ever build stuff? No tools, no repairs, no building of reflectors?

    Wooow..
This is so real, like I love your work guys. Even a young content creator on Clip-Share with less than 250 sub (even though am not into tech review), I like that fact that our work space should be able to solve a problem. That's my take away from this video. You mustn't have a big space to do that, but even from the comfort of your car or bedroom you can still be very creative and innovative. Am not there yet but with time and more smart / hard work I will get to that level.
