1. Didn't say his name right, 2. He wasn't intentionally using the corked bat to cheat. He grabbed it by mistake. The team used it to mess around during batting practice.
@the slygamer By my perspective I understand what are you trying to say, but as a professional player you can see the difference between a normal bat and a corked bat. After years of practice you know the weight of a regular bat. I'm just saying I have never played this game so it's just my opinion. 😅
@DonDolla11 it doesn't give an advantage for one and two he had a normal bat first then the bat boy grabbed a cork practice bats cause there was no more game bats and the boy thought it was a game bat
He didn’t actually grab the bat. The first bat he broke, was the one he took to the plate, himself. The corked bat was BROUGHT to him by the bat boy. He had no communication with the bat boy prior to being given the bat. Even the announcers stated during the live broadcast, that the bat boy was the one who gave him the corked bat. A bat the announcers also acknowledged, was used by players during pregame warmups for fun. Maybe post the actual audio, instead of a very misleading voiceover 🤷♂️
@Tone Deaf A normal wooden bat weighs 2-3 lbs. A corked bat weighs 2 OUNCES less. That's insignificant and I bet you wouldn't even notice. So no, go learn about what you're speaking before you start typing.
@Tony Smith yeah yeah you have no concept of weight I understand. I'm done bothering with people who can't understand that solid wood and something filled with cork would weigh different, and that someone who's entire job is holding that bat wouldnt notice it but okay
@Tone Deaf Oh my god. Please. Stop. It's not like a normal bat wights 10 lbs and a corked one weighs 1. You realize the majority of bats weigh any where between 2-3 lbs right? I promise you that you wouldn't even notice the weight difference between an metal bat and a wooden one.
@Tony Smith because he's a professional? It doesn't matter if I have or not. He has. A solid wood bat may be light but it'd be noticably heavier than what I assume is a hollowed bat with cork? Not 100% sure how a cork bat works. Even more so if they were playing around with it before the game-
Back then pixel resolution wasn’t much of a thing. There were still film mediums that go well beyond what nominal 4K would be today. But remember K counting beyond 2K is marketing BS anyway and pixel resolution isn’t an accurate way to measure spectral resolution.
@Jeff Tickleschitzthe announcers themselves said as much in the audio the poster removed to do his incredibly disingenuous voiceover. The bat boy brought the bar over and when it broke the announcers acknowledged that the corked bat was unintentionally brought over by the bat boy who the player had no prior contact with and the bat itself was used in the pregame. Don't take a Clip-Sharer's word as law when even the bare minimum search can prove their bull shite false.
I don't watch baseball regularly, nor do I actually know this batter's name, but even I know that he wasn't cheating. It has been pretty well established that he didn't intend to cheat; after his first bat broke, a person from the dugout brought him the new bat. Because he had no opportunity to set this up, it's not cheating, rather just an unfortunate event that happened. Fun fact: you can see him talking to someone in the dugout like, "You got me in trouble lol" when he is ejected. Anyone who saw the full video should realise that this isn't cheating. Also, since when is 4k such bad quality 👀
Corking a bat has been disproven to have benefits. It lowers the weight and the energy transfered to the ball, meaning it's actually going a shorter distance even though the bat can swing at a faster speed.
They do let you get the head of of the bat through the zone quicker. Having said that it, it’s a net loss when the bat has much less pop than a solid one… They might be good for bunting.
@Randall Pink How did your Steelers season go 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡 No Big Ben 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡 No play off 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡 No Future as a dynasty 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡Lost to the Jets 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
Or actually be correct on what ur reporting, it wasn’t even his actual bat and this was confirmed by his team. I hate people who just report on nonsense and act like they know what their talking about, dude doesn’t even know how to prenounce Sabos name right 😂
Caught in 240p.
@Analysis 😂
144 😂
Kids these days don’t know what 4k even means
480i. NTSC standard definition.
💀
He didn’t know it was corked they used it in practice and mixed it up with game bats
@Oswqld oh really I've seen people test corked bats and it definitely does help
@Oswqld they do, somedude made an experiment and it actually gives a higher EV of around 4 to 8 higher.
Yes sure. And video game cheaters didn't know they were using hacks. They were using them before and forgot to take them off
@stepgaming let go have to stick with your story or it becomes a lie
1. Didn't say his name right, 2. He wasn't intentionally using the corked bat to cheat. He grabbed it by mistake. The team used it to mess around during batting practice.

@DonDolla11 its been proven that Cork bats are a disadvantage that's why they are practice bats
@DonDolla11 it doesn't give an advantage for one and two he had a normal bat first then the bat boy grabbed a cork practice bats cause there was no more game bats and the boy thought it was a game bat
@the slygamer no. He went out with a bat that gave him an advantage. Cheater.
@DonDolla11 it does matter you think he's going out there with a bat that puts him at a disadvantage
He didn’t actually grab the bat. The first bat he broke, was the one he took to the plate, himself. The corked bat was BROUGHT to him by the bat boy. @Jaune Arc that atleast makes sense
@Tony Smith because he's a professional? It doesn't matter if I have or not. He has. A solid wood bat may be light but it'd be noticably heavier than what I assume is a hollowed bat with cork? Not 100% sure how a cork bat works. Even more so if they were playing around with it before the game-
"If you cheat in Clip-Share Shorts, try not to get caught in your BS"
Lmao
BS
@Gordon Petten nahh shorts barely make any money if not no money at all
He makes money everytime somebody likes your comment... what a fucking world we live in...
Underrated 👑
It wasnt his bat. It was brought to him by the ball-boy. He laughed since he knew who's bat it was, and he took the fall for it.
Mythbusters showed that corked bats perform drastically worse than solid ash, so it's not even considered cheating.
Yeah this man didn't do his research on this game
4k in 96 would've been labeled witchcraft my guy
Back then pixel resolution wasn’t much of a thing. There were still film mediums that go well beyond what nominal 4K would be today. But remember K counting beyond 2K is marketing BS anyway and pixel resolution isn’t an accurate way to measure spectral resolution.
“What are you doing?”
“Spreading false information on the internet”
He used two other bats that were not corked, he didn't mean to use that bat.
He didn't need to he was an excellent player.
Thought I needed to clear this up but looks like the comments already got it covered😂
Shit, Sabo was a savage, cork or no cork, man could straight up ball.
@The Holy Mackerel look at the comments section, people here know what they are talking about
@The Holy Mackerel 😂 you kids know nothing
What do you mean “cork or no cork”? It’s CORK, period. Note how his career took a dive after this. Like Albert Belle when he was caught cheating.
And it's pronounced "SAY BO" Goodluck kid
What a terrible take. Its well accepted that he didnt know that bat was corked.
“If you make Clip-Share shorts try not to straight up lie out of your arse”
Wasn’t it proven that cork didn’t even help batters?
Yes if you cork a bat it's like hitting with a sponge. If you have solid matter hardwood you got more of a crack than a sponge
Yep lol
Say his name right. To this day when you see a guy wearing goggles. You call them the say’bos
When I got my baseball prescription goggles, everyone called me Chris Sabo. 🤣
Bro created the No Sabo kid💀
The strength of that guy to break his bat into 2 is insane
Man actually got caught spreading misinformation in 144p 💀
And not a bum: won a World Series with the Reds in 1990
Tons of bums have rings...
Didn’t he win ROY as well?
I went to his first game for the Nashville Sounds and decided he had "it" and he'd be the guy I rooted hardest for.
Damn, he was caught in 4K DECADES before 4K was even a thing! That's just how hard he fucked up!
He didnt cheat, he only brought the 1st bat in himself, yet the bat boy was giving him more bats
Say-bo. Get the name right.
Back then he COULDN'T have been caught in 4k
Nah bro cat in the hat was just being descriptive 🤣
Ah yes, the good old Sammy Sosa tactic.
Caught in 6 pixels
Someone needs to get this guy a new pair of eyes if he thinks this is 4k
"we got 4k at home"
If ya ain't cheatin, ya ain't tryin.
A coach in baseball said if you get caught cheating in baseball you’re not trying hard enough (or something along those lines I think)
Caught in 480p at best.
nah thats 8p
He didn't cheat. He was handed someone's bat and took the fall for it.
It wasn't his bat but he never revealed who's it was.
Family is everything
Man, nothing but the human eye was in 4k back then.
It was actually proven that it was a random bat that he was given by a worker
He wouldn't need that advice as the answer would be "Whats 4k?"
Probably not the smartest idea to say someone is cheating when he wasn't :/
Ah yes! 4k videos from 1996! Makes sense!
Lol the batboy gave him a bat they used during batting practice to have fun with, ain’t no Astro’s situation
He didn't know it was corked. Someone handed him that bat by mistake
@Jeff Tickleschitzthe announcers themselves said as much in the audio the poster removed to do his incredibly disingenuous voiceover. Rrrriiiiiiigggghhhhhhttttttt.
They had 4K in 1996 😭😭
Pretty sure we weren't even at 1080p in the 90's...
Caught in “4K” *shot in 1996*
Cheating pays off, ask bonds , ARod and the whole Houston squad
U remember when that happened. It was definitely an "Oh, shit!" moment.
And the sad thing is, corking the bat does literally nothing
4K in 1994. Seems legit
They broadcast baseball in 4K in 1996?
I don't watch baseball regularly, nor do I actually know this batter's name, but even I know that he wasn't cheating. It has been pretty well established that he didn't intend to cheat; after his first bat broke, a person from the dugout brought him the new bat. Also, since when is 4k such bad quality 👀
Bro got caught in 3k 😂
Actually, the first 4K display was in 2001 so technically he wasn’t caught in 4K.
Caught in 4k...in '96....riiiight
Corking a bat has been disproven to have benefits. It lowers the weight and the energy transfered to the ball, meaning it's actually going a shorter distance even though the bat can swing at a faster speed.
He wasn't fucked, he took or was given the practice bat by mistake
Awww we didn't even have HD broadcasts back then let alone 4k
Ur voice man... that has to be the weekly thing
The whole Astros team be like: 👀
Yeah, he didn’t know it was corked. That’s what Alec Baldwin said
Yooooo 🤣
👏
And this is why the transition to aluminum is good. It's a lot harder to accidentally or intentionally use cork
Speaking of caught in 4k… my brother you played the shit out of yourself on this one
The best thing about corked bats, there isn't any evidence that it hits farther. It's against the rules because it's more likely to break bats.
He didn't caught in 4k, in 1996.
Honestly I think he took the advice well, considering 4k didnt exist...
Chris Sabotage: Wtf is 4k?
Notice how this dude failed to explain anything to people who don’t understand baseball
Literally wasn’t his fault someone else brought him a bat used for training it wasn’t his bat and he did not know it had cork.
Fun fact, apparently cork doesn't actually make any difference.
There wasn't a 4K video signal anywhere in the world in 1996.
4k might have been an odd choice but hell
Didn’t know they had 4K resolution in 1996. Probably read that wrong
Damn, didn’t know 4K existed before I was born
I've seen biden make this face at least 17 times
Corked bats literally don't do a fucking thing to enhance your hitting
They do let you get the head of of the bat through the zone quicker. Having said that it, it’s a net loss when the bat has much less pop than a solid one… They might be good for bunting.
Wait can someone fill me in on what's the "cork" and why is it considered cheating?
It’s a long A in his name…like SAY-bo
4K in 1996 🎉
There was no '4k' when this occured.
Bro definitely didn't get caught in 4k
Lol. Caught in 4k in 1996….
Pretty sure he wasn’t caught in 4K…
Couldn’t see that on my giant 60in CRT
Saaa bo, love that.
I’m actually not sure why corked bats are illegal, they don’t give you any advantage.
wait so u can’t have cork filled bats?? bro didn’t explain it ahhh
4K….in 1996….
Cheating in baseball may be embarrassing, but not as embarrassing as the people who watch it
Thanks for explaining what cork is
That would explain "Corky" being his nickname ....
You got caught in 4K not even known how to pronounce his name
Caught in 4k in 1996 sure
Whats a corked bat? (We don't have baseball in my country)
Someone explain what cork does to the bat? Not at all into the sport but still enjoy it
4k in 1996 where the fuc was I lol
For crying out loud, the dude's name was pronounced SAYBO....... If you're going to do a piece on someone at least get their name right.
@Randall Pink How did your Steelers season go 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡 No Big Ben 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡 No play off 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡 No Future as a dynasty 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡Lost to the Jets 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
Y'all seem mighty butthurt bout it 🤡
Or actually be correct on what ur reporting, it wasn’t even his actual bat and this was confirmed by his team. I hate people who just report on nonsense and act like they know what their talking about, dude doesn’t even know how to prenounce Sabos name right 😂
THANK YOU
Damn bro didn’t do any research
caught in 4k
in 1996
yeah...those 2 dont mix
I'm pretty sure they didn't have 4k then huh!
