shout out to Profe Richard Curry @ Texas A&M once again for changing my life!!! it really takes 1 teacher or professor to totally open your eyes to how fun academia can be
thanks for editing me @lastmanstanley big up da man
thanks for watching guys and if i messed anything up in this video please just mind your business because no i did not by the way. but correct me or tell me conceptually what i got wrong if you do have constructive criticism OTHERWISE SHUT UP
okay love you guys happy womens history month and early april fools day you silly goobers
love that she asked Duolingo to sponsor her and then immediately began to threaten and insult their mascot
the owl finally has a worthy opponent
м
he’d be proud
Look Duo would like that they're freaky
Brittany should do a video where she only speaks spanish for 24 hours with someone who speaks fluent spanish
i think she should do it with two fluent spanish speakers, one from spain (obviously) and the other from any latin american country since spain and latin american spanish is very different
@crunnncheee agreed, she could learn the slang from both countries as well
Nice of you guys are interested in learning Spanish, I’m from Colombia, here English is so important if you wanna get a better job, better salary etc, I was in the Us for some months and I rarely saw an American interested in learning Spanish, I guess is more popular in states at the border
@Cris actually both my parents are from Chile so im half chilean but my spanish isn’t 100% perfect😅
@crunnncheee coooolll at least you got people to practice with, I learned all by myself, had no people to talk to ‘till I visited the us, all my family are colombians lol, keep practicing:)
the "i swear i can speak this language why do i need to prove it" panic was so real
Después de este video necesito que Brittany haga un tutorial de maquillaje o un vlog diario hablando SOLO en español, that would be hilarious 🤣
The face she made at "one more wrong answer and it's over" was so dramatic I love her
Not me, a Mexican person, fluent in Spanish, still panicking trying to answer while following along w this video😭 Pero chica, ¡tu acento y pronunciación son tan buenos! Habría asumido enseguida que eras una reina latina xx
Not Latina tho, cause the accent she's got is more Spanish...
Brittany freaking out and fucking up the first word and then absolutely destroying the rest of the video is the most iconic thing that I have ever witnessed
una rana 😨

You calling the duolingo bird a terrorist is the funniest thing I've heard in a minute😭
her mixing up all the tenses of hay was the most relatable part of this 💀
"I feel like I'm right" brittany realmente le ganó a duolingo y al español 😭😭😭
Watching you in Duolingo was killing me, I'm learning French with that owl and he is RUTHLESS! I wake up every day to "wouldn't wanna lose that streak now!" basically threatening me to do my French lesson NOW!
The owl is so annoying
As a Spanish, your voice while talking Spanish is VERY SPANISH 😭❤
ok but the things I'd do to see a conversation in Spanish between Brittany and Pedro Pascal
this could be even greater than brittany meeting harry
The way I would eat my own pinky knuckles to see this
they would not talk it would just be brittany crying n breathing hard
I had the best dream about Pedro Pascal last night 😶 that's all, Just wanted to share with you guys
as a spanish person this is HILARIOUS 💀💀💀 your accent is great though♥️
Brittany, como una persona que habla español como idioma materno, te puedo asegurar que lo haces increíblemente bien!! You keep slaying girly (you are definetly a national treasure in latin america.)
The message for the professor at the end was so heartwarming.
Believe it or not Brittany just demostrated how the work of a actual translator looks like HAHAHAH
pero hiciste tan bien en los mini exámenes! es difícil cuando una programa tiene expectaciones de tener vocabulario tan formal cuando la idioma y el lenguaje no es así 🙄
brittany freaking out at literally the first word is so real
Been there, done that 😮💨 tests can be so scary sometimes, especially when the test is about something you care so much about.
I lost a spelling bee in the first round with the word “saucer” because I was telling myself in my head that it ends in “-cer” so I started spelling the word with the letter “c”. I didn’t even finish spelling the word, I just walked off stage.
I'm Spanish and to be fair el ejercicio de traducir era difícil de cojones jajaja sí es verdad que se pueden traducir las frases de muchas maneras diferentes en español. You did great Brittany here is your mark 💯
"Era una mañana fría de otoño" suena mucho mejor que "otoñal". Just sayin'...
Me encanta que una de mis personas favoritas de Internet hable español. Te queremos, Brittany! 💛💛
As a native Spanish speaker, I would like to say that your Spanish pronunciation is really good!!! Saludos desde España! 😊
i wanna see brittany try to do irish duolingo. i feel like its an absolute trip and would be really fun
As a fluent Spanish speaker. I approve of Brittany telling ppl she’s fluent😂😂 Hell if I can call myself fluent so can you lol.
Brittany: Takes a language test
Also Brittany: looks up the words online
hahaha
Looking up a random word here and there is fine, it's still super impressive she can form sentences
@Sky of course! im thoroughly impressed. just a little joke :)
@Skysentance structure is so hard! Sometimes you think you have it then you realize you defaulted to english rules( i only took 2 years of spanjsh so i dont have as much experience, but that was my struggle)
i think she was just confirming the spelling of the word she knew how to speak
As someone with spanish as their first language, this is the funniest thing I've ever seen
Keep it up bilingual queen !!
In all seriousness, I would genuinely take an Elementary Spanish class if you taught it
Yo no sabia que ella hablaba español muy bien!!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉
i love how she has a spanish (form spain) accent like i didn’t expect that😭😭 i actually have sm respect for her for actually learning and studying and listening to hispanic artists bc is rare to see bilingual/polyglot creators tbh
Spanish is my first language and I’m fluent in English (duh) but I would still have trouble translating full sentences literally from English to Spanish, you did good girl
estamos tan orgullosos de ti
ha sido divertido hacer los tests al reves, traduciendo del español al ingles😂😂
@waddle dee parasol si
I can’t describe how much I want you to teach Spanish on here or something. This was incredible and I’m only a few months into learning
yes i would love that too. I've been trying to learn Spanish but it's so difficult for me
REINAAAAA ♥♥♥♥♥
Soy española y puedo decirte que hay muchas traducciones posibles para esas frases, lo has hecho genial!
¡Lo hiciste excelente! también tengo que esforzarme para aprender inglés, me motivaste 😂💗
New follower here. I think you have a really good Spanish accent with a twang of Tex-Mex charm. I love that your are so funny and relatable!
as a spanish speaker, im always impressed with your* accent and fluidity! when learning a new language, we make mistakes and its normal~
loved that you have to film it twice bc you take it so serious!
Amamos una reina bilingüe 💁🏽♀️
la verdad

ya tu sabe
Brittany devoró
@SkyRenaStan ella comió. No dejó ni sobras.
I'm super proud of you BRITTANY, duolingo doesnt know what she is talking about YOU DID AMAZING!!! Lots of love from ESPAÑA!!
As a native spanish speaker, your Spanish is pretty good. AND BY THE WAY, I didn't knew you are a youtuber and this is the first video of yours that Clip-Share recommended me. Very pleased.
Oh boy, you are in for a ride! This is the best channel of the Internet
As a Spanish person, this made me laugh
holy shit I'm so surprised by her accent!! while speaking Brittany sounds like a Spaniard who's moved away to the US for a few years but sticks with the accent. love that for her. (i say this as a latam person who's just heard one too many Rosalía interviews)
As a native spanish speaker, I LOVED THIS VIDEO. MAMA YOU SLAY 🎉 I am always so happy and proud of any human being who tries to master Spanish because it isn't easy and the accent is so cute and I just love it.
she has watched us follow her shenanigans hooligan ass this long and still thought the washing machine would scare us away
STOP THIS BEHAVIOUR lmaooo
THIS LMFAAOOO
I didnt notice anything other than what she was doing on duolingo. She primed me to be distracted and even then her video was so entertaining i STILL didnt notice.
Spanish (Mexico) is my first language and those sentence translations for level 2 writing were tough 😢. Them tenses always get me.
Te quiero reina 👸🏼💕
I’ve never seen a true Texas white woman wanting to talk Spanish the way that she does. Im from Mexico and I have family in Texas and they do speak a little English but they don’t ever practice. They just talk a little Spanish when we visit them so it’s so cool seeing how Brittany has learned a lot and talks very fluently. Also, I love her Spanish accent. She sounds so good. ❤❤❤❤❤
verte aprendiendo mi idioma es tan wholesome
🥰
I’m fully bilingual and my 1st language is Spanish but translating is hard af. The 2nd exercise was impressive. Cuz I think that was the hardest. Even i was like how the hell would i say that? Lol
Estoy mirando desde Argentina y honestamente me encantaría escucharla hablar con acento argentino jajaja
I like that the quiz lets you assign yourself points because people from different parts of Latin America would translate the sentences differently from what was shown but they would still make sense. There is no one correct way to say something usually, so I like that feature.
That's precisely why Spanish is so difficult to learn for non natives.. there are like ten ways to say the same thing..
@Oscar Bautista Almost as if that is the case with most of languages
literal! como q la gente que aprende español tiene que elegir un país en específico de referencia 😅
@Oscar Bautista girl in english there are like 8 different sounds with the same letters that confuse the fuck out of non native english speakers too, english is WAY harder to learn than spanish but luckily we don't care about sounding perfect or being formal were all common rats lol
@Oscar Bautistarlly? Spanish is usually the easiest language to learn…
Spanish is my first language and i completely forgot we can say “otoñal”, i translated it as “de otoño” too. HAHAHAHAHA, i don’t know if it is because of the people i am surrounded, but i don’t remember hearing “otoñal” or “primaveral” (spring time)very often. I will start using it more because it’s correct and kinda funny.
I forgot how funny and creative your edits are. I know it takes time but I hope you posture often Britney. We love you❤
Girl my 6 years of Spanish has meant nothing to me, I have learned all my Spanish through my Hispanic friends
Español es mi carrera universitaria y de verdad este video me dió un tipo de consuelo que no voy a perder el progreso que he hecho cuando me gradua. muy bien hecho 🤩
You seriously did AMAZING! I like learning languages, i can read and understand a lot of things, but forming and writing SENTENCES?! SO hard for me. You make me wanna study harder!
Spanish is my native lenguage and I was panicking trying to translate the sentences from the second test in my head 😭
Spanish has so many variations, a preset translation telling you yours is wrong probably means nothing.
Yo también, hay demasiadas maneras de decir las cosas 😅
x2 u.u
Translating is also really hard because in Spanish there are extra verbal times and modes that overlap in English and grasping their use is incredibly specific. Some of the mistakes she made even native speakers can make too.
Si te hace sentir mejor, hasta yo estaba confundida 🤭🤭
As a native Spanish speaker, I'm honestly proud of you 😂😂 I'm subscribing! I watch your videos on TikTok btw 🥰
We love a relatable bilingual queen 🥰
As a native Spanish speaker I can tell u girl, your accent is REALLY GOOD!
my soul’s been trapped in a Spanish Duolingo streak for over 400 days I’m just happy you got out
omg do you think it’s effective
Thats amazing whats ur @? And does anyone know what brittany’s is? Im trying to get friends on duolingo lmao
@ariel I personally think it is if you are also applying it in the real world
I’m on a 125 day streak for German 😅
Queens my day streak is over 800 on french duolingo et vous devez m'aider rapidement
Brittany gurl you did an amazing job! But I must say, she mentioned English as one of the most difficult languages to learn and I couldn't disagree more... Portuguese is my first language and I learned English by myself. I'm studying Spanish and korean now and let me tell you Spanish is so difficult! Idk if it's because it's so similar to portuguese and that makes it confusing at times, but Portuguese is also very hard so 😂
As a fellow Brazilian who learned English by myself I can confirm that it is not that hard, and that Spanish gets confusing because it is so similar to Portuguese. But now I am learning Polish and I would argue that this is the most difficult language to learn in the entire world! 😭
I'm both terrified and honored to know that you have spent a lot of time learning my native language, cant help but stan
Brittany I was doing the tests with you every step of the way! I also studied Spanish for many years in high school/college but don't use it daily so this was a fun refresher! Also "downhole" at the end took me out 😂. This content is *chefs kiss*
Getting Spanish tenses right as a foreign learner is HARD. You are a hero. Love from Argentina 🇦🇷😘
your Spanish is so good omg take it from a native speaker, your accent, you VOCABULARY, the second thinking, honestly, you're quite fluent in Spanish for sure no doubt
duo lingo owl: impressive!
brittany: aw thank youu
duo lingo owl 2 minutes later: impressive!
brittany: i don't NEED your encouragement
aprender inglés es más fácil que aprender español, pero hicistes muy bien en tu prueba xD
I’m crying laughing as a Spanish speaker because you were right on some of them! It’s just colloquial language sometimes lmaoo
as a spanish person I just thoroughly enjoyed this your accent is so impressive dude
This made me feel like I was going back in time and hearing my own thoughts during any and all of my exams in school and uni
This is literal gold! Made my day 😂 although I found out very quickly to never try to drink hot tea while watching your videos 😅 gave me the best of chuckles and made me want to learn more Spanish ❤ thanks Brittany
The sentence translations part being mostly in past tense is not okay, that can make anyone cry
Imperfect tense as well😂
no fr i can tell you about how things are currently in spanish but don’t ask me shit about the past😭😭
You did really well, Brittany. I would not have gotten anywhere near as far as you did in Duolingo. I took 5 years of Spanish through high school and college but since I haven't practiced in years, I'm also very rusty. Thanks for the free laughs and entertainment.
Jajaja your Spanish is great! Lo amé ❤
I’m literally a native Spanish speaker and the writing part was difficult even for me because I’m not used to literary phrasing and because I tend to translate literally. So, take that as you will! 😂
Me gusto mucho el vídeo jajaa😅 gracias por aprender Español, la verdad tú pronunciación es excelente!
She makes me want to learn Spanish so bad!! 😅
0:37 “it’s raining, I’m doing dishes and laundry …” makes it sound like you’re using the rain to wash your dishes and clothes 😂
LOL
Not in LA. That acid rain 😅
Brittany, would love more art related videos if you find the time ❤️ we know you‘re very busy tho, no stress!
la verdad es que aquí en México para hablar casualmente con los demas, mientras te entendamos no pasa nada, lo importante es comunicarse, pero tú español es muy bueno♥️
You did amazing, here in Costa Rica we get so happy when someone from the outside speaks spanish!
The way she is so close to having a conversation with daddy Pedro Pascal is astronomical. We believe in you bestie!!!!!
I’m bilingual, I used to teach English at high levels, Spanish is my native language AND that second part with those sentences was hard 😅 they had every possible tense haha
CHICA, TU ACENTO ES MARAVILLOSO. ¡Más vídeos hablando español, por favor!
You better work! This makes me feel so much more confident in my Spanish abilities. I have been studying for 6 years so far and am a freshman in college working towards a major in the language, so wish me luck lol!
Brittany makes me want to pick up learning Spanish again. Profesora Broski, por favor se mi nueva profesora 🙏🏻
As a Latina I'm impressed! I love your pronunciation:)
As a Spanish speaker, I would say that she did really good on those tests. It´s a little difficult to translate a sentence to the exact same answer as Duolingo, because of the many tenses this language has.
As a born and raised Mexican I can tell you this was impresive! Spanish can be an intimidating lenguage and the undestanding you have of it is amazing.
¡Felicidades!
Lol, the panicked clicking… in my opinion, Brittany is fluent in Spanish. I am thoroughly impressed 👏🏻
Brittany: *came up with this idea to take increasingly difficult language tests*
Also Brittany 5 mins later: wait this is so hard guys :(
LMAOO
Honestly my favorite brand of non-latinx person is the ones who love Spanish and Latin culture. I’m like ok I see you learning the language and slaying it and loving our music and whatnot. It’s a good feeling :)
Excelente español! Las consignas del la segunda prueba eran difíciles de traducir hasta para mi que soy Argentina jajaja
Brittany looking up the Spanish dictionary while being quizzed SO TRUE 😭😂
PLEASE do a series of you doing Duolingo, my husband is talking Spanish for his job and was cracking up at this while answering the prompts, truly changing lives aqui
You not knowing what una rana was for a sec made me feel better about my Spanish. Thank you for that ❤
this is so funny 😭😭
its almost a neiche word to know the only reason i have ever had to know it was to learm about the ledgend of the college in salamanca
this is so foul and real hope you're doing well bestie
no bc i literally forgor what it meant too
me being a mexican and still forgetting what rana is because my family mostly says sapo lol
I’m learning Spanish for my boyfriend and this is so inspiring ty for this
as a gringa studying Spanish and living in Barcelona, I felt these emotions and loved this video
I am Brazilian, and here we don't speak Spanish, but it's similar enough to Portuguese so I was doing the test with her without having studied Spanish in my whole life.
