Ricky is real. He is funny because he doesn't care. He roasts the right people - often those who are wrapped up in themselves. He also roasts those whom he respects and knows have a sense of humor. He calls life as it is and not as some would have us believe it to be. He doesn't have an ego which is refreshing. He is an all around nice fellow.
The thing I like most about Ricky is not that he's funny, but that he's super genuine. He isn't putting on some show to try to impress people, he's just being himself and saying whatever he's thinking.
Yeah that was fake, Kimmel was saving face. That moment was one of the most brutal call outs I've seen, he literally got up in front of Kimmel's audience to tell him he was shit, and couldn't even deliver a canned joke properly and should be thanking his audience for their magnanimous charity to even waste their days and busy lives to sit there and watch him fail.
The fact that he's been such a fucking savage for at least ten years to the talent and they keep bringing him back to rip them apart over and over makes it a thing of pure beauty.
@JackCarver10 What do you mean by turning the tables? Are you saying that the celebrities mock the general public? Also, when you say “they’ve been waiting for a legend like him for a long time’” what do you actually mean? Before Ricky Gervais turned the worlds greatest awards ceremony into a low brow comedy show, these shows rewarded actors for great work. There was a time when the public thought that was a good thing. Ricky Gervais is just playing into peoples cynicism and a lot of peoples desire for cancel culture. Ricky Gervais appeals to the everyday man/woman but a lot of people find his humour low brow and tasteless. I’m one of those people.
@Johnny how so? i think it's brilliant with cringe comedy , s1 was a bit weaker because michael wasn't fully thought out character but rather copy of the original uk series
@Gerard well duh That's what I mean, he's trying to act serious and offended but can't contain his smile. Thats the point i was making you utterly incompetent mental defective
@Steve Yang well duh That's what I mean, he's trying to act serious and offended but can't contain his smile. Thats the point i was making you utterly incompetent mental defective
it reminds me of the scene from grown ups where they do 'arrow roulette', they all know that arrow is coming, they just dont know if its coming for them XD
We look with amazement at the processes unfolding in countries that are used to considering themselves the flagships of progress. Of course, the socio-cultural upheavals that are taking place in the same States and in Western Europe are not our business, we do not go there. Someone in Western countries is convinced that the aggressive erasure of entire pages of their own history, the "reverse discrimination" of the majority in the interests of minorities or the demand to abandon the usual understanding of such basic things as mom, dad, family, or even gender difference, are opinion, and there are milestones in the movement towards social renewal. You know, I want to emphasize once again that this is their right, we do not go there. We only ask you not to enter our house especially. We have a different point of view, in any case, the overwhelming majority of Russian society - it will, of course, be more accurate to say - a different point of view: we believe that we should rely on our spiritual values, on historical tradition, on the culture of our multinational people. The adherents of the so-called social progress believe that they bring to humanity some kind of new consciousness, more correct than before. And God forbid them, the flag in their hands, as we say, forward. Only now you know what I want to say now: the recipes they offer are completely new, all this - as it may seem, to someone it will seem unexpected - we have already passed it in Russia, we have already had it. After the 1917 revolution, the Bolsheviks, relying on the dogmas of Marx and Engels, also announced that they would change the entire customary way, not only political and economic, but also the very idea of what human morality is, the foundations of a healthy society. The destruction of age-old values, faith, relations between people up to the complete rejection of the family - this was the case - the imposition and encouragement of denunciations to loved ones - all this was announced as a step of progress and, by the way, it was widely supported in the world then and was fashionable, just as it is today. By the way, the Bolsheviks also showed absolute intolerance to any other opinions. This, in my opinion, should remind us something of what we are seeing now. Looking at what is happening in a number of Western countries, we are amazed to learn about domestic practices, which, fortunately, we ourselves have left, I hope, in the distant past. The struggle for equality and against discrimination turns into aggressive dogmatism on the verge of absurdity, when the great authors of the past - such as Shakespeare - are no longer taught in schools and universities, because they, these ideas, are considered backward there. The classics are declared backward, not understanding the importance of gender or race. In Hollywood, they release memo how and what to make a movie about, how many characters of what color or gender should be there. It turns out worse than the agitation and propaganda department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. Countering the manifestations of racism is a necessary and noble thing, but in the new "culture of abolition" it turns into "reverse discrimination", that is, racism is the opposite. The obsessive emphasis on the racial theme further divides people, and after all, the dream of true fighters for civil rights was precisely the erasure of differences, the refusal to divide people by skin color. Let me remind you that I specifically asked my colleagues yesterday to pick up this quote from Martin Luther King, he said, as you remember: “I dream that the day will come when my four children will live in a country where they will be judged not by the color of their skin , but in accordance with their personal qualities ”- this is the true value. But something is there, everything is different, somehow now, we see, is happening. By the way, here, in Russia, our citizens in the absolute majority do not care what color a person's skin is, he or she is not that important either. Each of us is a human being, that's what matters. In a number of Western countries, the discussion about the rights of men and women has turned into a perfect phantasmagoria. Look, you will get there before the Bolsheviks suggested not only socializing chickens, but also socializing women. One more step and you will be there. Zealots of new approaches go so far that they want to abolish these concepts themselves. Those who risk saying that men and women do exist and this is a biological fact are almost ostracized. “Parent number one” and “parent number two”, “giving birth to parent” instead of “mother”, a ban on using the phrase “breast milk” and replacing it with “human milk” - so that people who are insecure about their own gender do not get upset. I repeat, this is not new; in the 1920s, the so-called Soviet culture-traders also invented the so-called newspeak, believing that in this way they create a new consciousness and change the value line. And, as I have already said, they have done such a thing that they still hiccup at times. Not to mention simply monstrous things, when children today are taught from an early age that a boy can easily become a girl and vice versa, in fact, they are imposed on them the allegedly available choice. They impose, removing parents from this, forcing the child to make decisions that can break his life. And no one even consults with child psychologists: in general, is a child at some age able to make a decision of this kind or not? Calling a spade a spade, this is already just on the verge of a crime against humanity, and everything is under the name and under the banner of progress. Vladimir Putin
God I loved that speech at the Oscars. You could feel the stress in the room with all that truth!!!!! He doesn't bow down to celebrities and lick their asses and they don't like it. Keep doing what you do Ricky because we love you for it.
@Muzakman37 ever think that maybe it’s not genuine laughs. Maybe they are nervous laughs because truth is being revealed or perhaps they’re laughing because everyone else is. Ya never know, they’re all full of shit and scums of the earth.
Not sure what show you were watching, but I saw plenty of people in those audiences having a good laugh, just like any other audience would really. Some of 'em have a stick up their arse for sure, and everyone else laughs at them. Watch the audience reaction when he rips into Angelina Jolie, half of them are pissing themselves.
@This Commentor agree but most people would be - at the same time, its the mark of a good person to be able to still take that second to process what was said and realise that its not harmful, leading them to take the joke well. This is something Will Smith needed
Love his perspective on things. U can tell he grew up blue collar and never tires to remind the "elites" how hard it is out there and how ETERNALLY grateful they should be that ppl have allowed them to make a living off such a silly thing as acting.
@Doves you feel it in in his words that he came a long way...not saying that all these Hollywood stars had it easy but lots of them just got lucky with a role and they got stupid money out of it afterwards.
Ricky Gervais is absolutely hilarious, truthful, and a great entertainer. I love how he cares about animals and nature, and needless to say we share the same religious views!
Ricky could be the next guy to get slapped, someone just need to be having a bad day, but that risk is what makes it funny. If there were never any consequences for doing risky humour, it wouldnt be as funny. Will really just made comedians funnier, as we need that fear of consequences
@Sharon Washington is it possible that the smartphone you are using does not have creator?! Any sane person will agree it's impossible, how about me and you and other creatures?! And the whole universe, Do we created by nothing?! Our descendants as humans aren't apes which were fish and unicellular before that, this is the real bull shit with all due respect, we have a creator and there is a purpose in life find it before it's too late and like there is no one will explain to you how to use the smartphone like the people who created it, there is no one will tell you the how to live like the creator x read the quran and find the truth, watch Jeffrey lang lectures on Clip-Share, will explain to you better then me ... I wish you Think deeply about what im saying wish you all good
@Sharon Washington with all due respect, Muslims are more Christians than the so called Christians, because we follow the true teachings of jesus, but you follow pegan churches.... You can watch ahmad deidat Or zakir naik,
Westerns ask your selves why media blinding you and hypnotising you to not seeing the truth of Islam, because it's against porn, alcohol, gambling, drugs, nudity and indecent dress, bank interests, LGBTQ, and genders pronouns issue ,even pedophilia are now promoted by Netflix and other networks, the titans who benefit from these things own the media and the real solid giant wall blocking their way and ruining their plans is Islam, and you are their market, all what they want is to keep you their slaves their clients and market, they don't care for you after that if you going to the hell (Literally), anyways In case that your loyalty is for the truth not your desire, watch blogging theology channel,,,,,,,
Ricky Gervais was always a source of inspiration for me at a high school, I'd get asked to host the pupils/students awards ceremonies (as it was the only way for my teachers to get me involved with any extracurricular activities) and I would always aspire to be as savage, dark and offensive as Ricky Gervais. Roasting my peers and teachers alike. My favourite joke and the one that got me finally banned from doing it, in my final year was about my highschool principal, Mrs Kahn. The joke was as follows: while she admitted that she wasted time implementing the blazer policy, she still denies her involvement in 9/11. Always got a lot of laughs, from both pupils and students, but I got a fuck load of scowls aimed my way. 🤣🤣🤣
@Vaibhav Sharma Months late but I can help you out. Mel Gibson had a much-publicized DUI charge in 2006 where he made a few particularly offensive comments during his arrest. Ricky would poke fun at the incident more than once.
Never really watched "The Office", but must state, I really have so much respect for Ricky Gervais. He says it as it is, i.e. Hollywood including most of the actors & actresses are a load of hypocritical wankers!!! PS, he was a singer. I think he featured in The Top of the Pops back in the 80s.
It would have been cheap. Besides, Weinstein was made a scapegoat for enjoying the fact that women will happily have sex with Hollywood producers for roles. He didn't rape anyone.
4:15 I always die at the sight of Robert De Niro turning his head away from Martin Scorsese, so he can't see he's pissing himself laughing at the theme park gag!
8:55... All SMILES...While Sitting At TheTable with TheMonster...🤔 (Imagine if He Didn't Have TheBankAccount, That Allowed Him to "Pick&Choose".) NoBody Would Know Whom or What He Was...Because He Wouldn't Have Had TheMoney That Allowed Him to *BE* TheMonster We Found Out He Was.🤔
I'm sure many celebs question whether they will attend when they find out Ricky Gervais is the host...! Nervous times for some of them when the spotlight is on them, it's glorious to watch!
Ricky Gervais the last of the 'old school' comics. The ones that had the talent to write and perform their material and the courage to just be themselves. I think of Ricky as this generation's George Carlin Someone who the networks allow to 'push the envelope' because their impact is huge, which translates into $$$ for them. But, even though taking the job and the money is the smart thing to do, neither Ricky or George allowed the corporate powers to change or dictate who they are or what they say. I hope the current generation sees this and understands the significance.
This man is the greatest, he's like the British version of Don Rickles, he has no fear, tells it like it is, & could care less who he insults! Thank you Ricky, one of the only truth tellers left!
Yes, one of his jokes that I remember, he was talking to his audience of something that happened to him - as he does - and it involved a trip of his in a helicopter and he was like, "If you've ever been in a helicopter you'll know - wait! Of course none of you have ever been in a helicopter!"
I like a drink as much as the next man... Unless the next man... is Mel Gibson! I love how he cant resist to laugh at his own joke and he cracks 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Sweet, you think he respects any of these charlatans.
It Ricky roasts you, you don't even get mad. It's an honor.
If you get mad by any comedian roasting you, you are a weak person with issues. Just like Will Smith
@James Robertson They kinda do it to themselves tho :P
I'm sure the little kiddy fuckers really think it's an honor!
Really? I'm sure Harvey Weinstein, Bill Cosby and to a lesser degree Mel Gibson are absolutely honoured.
Really is tho
Love his devastating honest humor.
The thing I like most about Ricky is not that he's funny, but that he's super genuine. He isn't putting on some show to try to impress people, he's just being himself and saying whatever he's thinking.
He's a performer!!
I think it's cos he got his wealth late in life ,he knows poor and now rich.
And funny to boot
Youv'e been fooled by the art , let me guess your American.
We Brits don't like pomp !
I swear he's the only guy to make Jimmy Fallon genuinely laugh for once
Bill Burr
@Meagan Pearce I can't distinguish them from each other, to be honest.
@Familiar Evils pretty sure that was Fallon, not Kimmel
Yeah that was fake, Kimmel was saving face. That moment was one of the most brutal call outs I've seen, he literally got up in front of Kimmel's audience to tell him he was shit, and couldn't even deliver a canned joke properly and should be thanking his audience for their magnanimous charity to even waste their days and busy lives to sit there and watch him fail.
Nah, that idiot couldn't make it through a single one of his horrible SNL sketches without breaking character
The fact that he's been such a fucking savage for at least ten years to the talent and they keep bringing him back to rip them apart over and over makes it a thing of pure beauty.
@giggity So true. Without him they are lost. This year they had to resort to getting Will Smith to hit a little person...
@JackCarver10 What do you mean by turning the tables? Are you saying that the celebrities mock the general public? Also, when you say “they’ve been waiting for a legend like him for a long time’” what do you actually mean? @JackCarver10 this is fact or generally speaking?
@pato101 cause they're friends with monsters
@JackCarver10 why should celebs be mocked? Because they are successful and good looking?
Steve Carrel trying not laugh at the office jabs had me
@Johnny You haven't even watched it entirely :P
@Johnny how so? i think it's brilliant with cringe comedy , s1 was a bit weaker because michael wasn't fully thought out character but rather copy of the original uk series
@errorerrorerror Agreed. Carrell is lame. The entire Yank series is lame.
@Gerard well duh
That's what I mean, he's trying to act serious and offended but can't contain his smile. Thats the point i was making you utterly incompetent mental defective
@Steve Yang well duh
That's what I mean, he's trying to act serious and offended but can't contain his smile. Thats the point i was making you utterly incompetent mental defective
I love the nervous tension after every joke as everyone braces themselves, who's next, is it me?
it reminds me of the scene from grown ups where they do 'arrow roulette', they all know that arrow is coming, they just dont know if its coming for them XD
@Steve Yang He's practically a hired hitman.
Everyone knew what is coming, it's hilarious how people try to pretend that Ricky wasn't hired to do exactly what he did. And everyone knew.
It's like a Russian roulette expect the gun is fully loaded
The way he cut through Letterman’s bullshit was sublime
@T T ???
Letterman is so fake..
Yes they had the same quick brutally honest humor and worked well together, you could tell they liked each other.
Letterman always sucked.
Ricky is the uncompromisingly acidic satirical Letterman without the “Ahh, shucks, it was all just in good fun” undertone.
Scorsese and Leo took those jokes so well 😂😂
"he's not tall enough to get on the rides!"
Scorsese: it's true!!
Marty is old school and he's friend with Don freaking Rickles
@Imti BINGO
then there’s stone-faced Kiefer…
@Mozdul Baksh yep! Don Rickles roasted him. He can take Ricky Gervais any given day .
most of the people featured seemed to take it pretty well!
The cosmetic surgeons part😂
Ricky isn't even joking, he is simply stating facts
"I like a drink as much as the next man... unless the next man is Mel Gibson !"
The way his voice cracks is gold, please never change, Ricky
@Irielion Sorry, though both statements would be true (mine just didn't make much sense)
@Irielion Sorry, I didn't notice it until now ^^
Didn't Mel come on stage all pissy.
@Irielion so just to be clear.. you’ve never eaten your Grandma?
@Alpha But Banana never replied! Go figure! :)
One of the most brilliant comedians of our generation. His understanding to true comedy and timing is impressive!
Definitely give them a reality check, tinsel town got roasted , arise sir Ricky ❤️❤️
I always love how Ricky's voice cracks as he's telling the punchline of a very dark/offensive joke.
Ricky Gervais is the goat of hosting talk shows
Graham Norton is the goat of hosting talk shows.
RG is the goat of hosting award shows
He's one of the goats of comedy
And he doesn't even have one. That shows talent.
Steve carell passed the vibe check of all vibe checks
@Alan Warrick You seem a little butthurt, bro. Lighten up.
What a gay comment.
In Hollywood, they release memo how and what to make a movie about, how many characters of what color or gender should be there. Countering the manifestations of racism is a necessary and noble thing, but in the new "culture of abolition" it turns into "reverse discrimination", that is, racism is the opposite.
God I loved that speech at the Oscars. You could feel the stress in the room with all that truth!!!!! He doesn't bow down to celebrities and lick their asses and they don't like it. Keep doing what you do Ricky because we love you for it.
Yep. You could just feel every butthole there clamp tighter. 😁
@Muzakman37 ever think that maybe it’s not genuine laughs. Maybe they are nervous laughs because truth is being revealed or perhaps they’re laughing because everyone else is. Ya never know, they’re all full of shit and scums of the earth.
@karen walsh i do
Oscars 😆😆😆

I love how Martin Scorsese was confirming the joke like “it’s true, it’s true”
That’s not what that joke was about.
If he’s too short, then why was he there people?
Come on!
He seemed like he didnt like it but was pretending to play it off the way he did it, felt very insincere for some reason.
@This Commentor agree but most people would be - at the same time, its the mark of a good person to be able to still take that second to process what was said and realise that its not harmful, leading them to take the joke well. This is something Will Smith needed
I love that Robert de Niro was having the time of his life 😂
I loved how Robert de Niro was impersonation Impressions people do of him xD
He's hilarious and should host every Hollywood show
@Mica Lo he still hosts award shows What are you talking about?
I agree, but people are too sensitive.
Roast*
Love his perspective on things. U can tell he grew up blue collar and never tires to remind the "elites" how hard it is out there and how ETERNALLY grateful they should be that ppl have allowed them to make a living off such a silly thing as acting.
@lajeandom most are just lucky with their looks. Acting isn't difficult and can even be learnt but being super good looking is pure luck.
@Doves you feel it in in his words that he came a long way...not saying that all these Hollywood stars had it easy but lots of them just got lucky with a role and they got stupid money out of it afterwards.
Best and insightful comment, Mr. Savage
Ricky seems very kind hearted even if his jokes and roasts sometimes get dark, but I love it.
Steve Carrell is the definition of comedy class 😂😂😂
2:04 *"do it like you were clever enough to come up with this joke yourself"*
annihilated him so well he almost collapsed laughing
2:45
That's Fallon's trademark. He collapses in hysterical laughter any time a guest says anything that might be considered even remotely funny.
I loved how he roasted David Letterman very gently.
Ricky Gervais is absolutely hilarious, truthful, and a great entertainer. I love how he cares about animals and nature, and needless to say we share the same religious views!
'Thank god for making me an atheist!'
I would be really interested to hear what Ricky’s thoughts are on the Harkles
Ricky is a clever comedian, a true star
Hysterical 😭 ❤️
When he turns to Dave and goes "it's all about you" is basically the best description of that show.
so many US talk shows. That's why I love Graham Norton
Ricky could be the next guy to get slapped, someone just need to be having a bad day, but that risk is what makes it funny. If there were never any consequences for doing risky humour, it wouldnt be as funny. Will really just made comedians funnier, as we need that fear of consequences
He always make me laugh 😂 I love it when he's roasting people that doesn't think it's funny 😂😂😂
God save this man, his humor really makes me laugh.
There is no better medicine than just watching a session of Ricky Gervais.

@Sharon Washington with all due respect, Muslims are more Christians than the so called Christians, because we follow the true teachings of jesus, but you follow pegan churches.... You can watch ahmad deidat Or zakir naik,

He’s so good and so honest He literally doesn’t give a flying 🤬 👍👍👍😂😂😂
Gervais is his own brand of humour.
He’s a fourth wall pro.
Love him... He will call them out with no fear of backlash. Mad respect for this mad dude.
Is there anything funnier then seeing Ricky in full savage mode.
Norm
@Arthur Fernandes RIP
Norm Macdonald
Yes, the face of his victims XD
"I love a good drink as much as the next guy, unless the next guy is Mel Gibson...." oh man... I almost died while taking a drink.
@Vaibhav Sharma Months late but I can help you out. Mel Gibson had a much-publicized DUI charge in 2006 where he made a few particularly offensive comments during his arrest. Ricky would poke fun at the incident more than once.
Can someone explain that joke for me?
Have another hobnob: clip-share.net/video/qIbI9I8Xvdc/video.html
Almost RIP
He is brilliant. He says what everybody is thinking and does not give a hoot about it.
U just can't beat Ricky, even if u think about jokes for him he'l have one for you out of thin air
I wish to be as straightforward and unabashedly honest as him.
Love Ricky Gervais, he says what we all think.
Fantastic. He always knows how deep to cut without drawing blood. A master of his craft!
Jimmy Fallon's got shat on great stuff
Thank you Ricky for making me laugh so much as always You ARE BRILLIANT !! 😄
We don’t have many but Gervais is a national treasure.
The Office was really brave, a new kind of comedy that many people didn't get because Ricky did it so well.
The most intelligent comedian in the world.
Are you suggesting he is an Intel_Agent ?? He probably spies on the m055ad in his free time.
steve stole the show
Ricky is awesome. I just love him. He’s just plain crazy and adorable.
"Why didn't you do more than twelve episodes?"
"Cos I was tired." 😅
The perfect response.
I just love this guy, great sense of humor and I think he must be one of the most intelligent persons in show business
Love Steve carrel 😆👍
The time when everyone used to hang around H. Weinstein, and now they all "look terrified" about what he's done
@A4 some of them have stood by him still at least by not publicly denouncing him.
Lots of them knew but he got them to where they wanted to be so didn't care until the public found out
Yep. Was wondering if anyone would bring this up.
Good to see Harvey having a good time in the audience. I sense big things coming for him
3:16 Tim Cook, knowing the inevitable punchline coming next - that face is priceless XD
“She didn’t do a lot for women drivers”!!!
Fucking brilliant
I never get tired of watching this
I never tire of him either. The world would be a better place if he hosted the evening news.
Me two lol
Same lol
I love how he could barely get through that Mel Gibson joke
It’s my life goal to be roasted by Ricky! Absolute legend
Steve carrell playing along with the bit is the best part😂
Wish he woulda replaced the Bill Cosby punchline with Harvey Weinstein. Harvey sitting right there. That woulda been the best thing ever.
It would have been cheap. Besides, Weinstein was made a scapegoat for enjoying the fact that women will happily have sex with Hollywood producers for roles. He didn't rape anyone.
@GreatBigFatPerson True
@Zain Hassan Ahmed Would have aged like fine wine though, just like Seth MacFarlane's shot at him.
Zero sense made
it was too soon
it's funny when even himself laughs before finishing the joke lol
Love you Ricky in a world that’s gone mad , you keep it real despite the celebrity narcissistic delusions .
I love after life and some scenes of his acting feels so real..
That show has you laughing and crying as much as each other. I love it.
He literally writes characters as himself
4:15 I always die at the sight of Robert De Niro turning his head away from Martin Scorsese, so he can't see he's pissing himself laughing at the theme park gag!
I would like to see Ricky Gervais and Gordon Ramsey roasting each other . Would be epic 😊
Here ya go: clip-share.net/video/GcRCfFRDG0k/video.html
Ricky Gervais owns the word "mental".
I think what makes Ricky so funny is the fact he just does not give a fuck about anyone that he's roasting, which is what makes it feel really genuine
Ben Stiller is actually a really big Trekkie. The fact he has a Gorn head is really awesome. I hope he makes it in a Star Trek series.
I’ve just realised that a gorn head looks like Beavis…😁
The "do it like you wrote the joke yourself" one was on the nose!!!!
I always love how leo laughs about the joke about his date
See now, Ricky instinctively just KNOWS how and when to put on a roast…
What are you implying? 🤨
8:55...
All SMILES...While Sitting At TheTable with TheMonster...🤔
(Imagine if He Didn't Have TheBankAccount, That Allowed Him to "Pick&Choose".)
NoBody Would Know Whom or What He Was...Because He Wouldn't Have Had TheMoney That Allowed Him to *BE* TheMonster We Found Out He Was.🤔
The banter with letterman is brilliant
Is it cruel or just funny & true ? Love it, either way... A real cheeky chappie.
I'm sure many celebs question whether they will attend when they find out Ricky Gervais is the host...! Nervous times for some of them when the spotlight is on them, it's glorious to watch!
Did I just see Tom Hanks laughing at his joke. Must be an old event.
He’s like the Eminem of the comedy world, a privilege to get dissed
Ricky Gervais the last of the 'old school' comics. The ones that had the talent to write and perform their material and the courage to just be themselves. I think of Ricky as this generation's George Carlin Someone who the networks allow to 'push the envelope' because their impact is huge, which translates into $$$ for them. But, even though taking the job and the money is the smart thing to do, neither Ricky or George allowed the corporate powers to change or dictate who they are or what they say. I hope the current generation sees this and understands the significance.
Love this guy, brutally honest 👍
I fucking love Gervais. He's a true legend
This man is the greatest, he's like the British version of Don Rickles, he has no fear, tells it like it is, & could care less who he insults! Thank you Ricky, one of the only truth tellers left!
Couldn't care less, not could!
I have seen these speeches many times, but it never gets old.
Fair play to all the celebs who aren’t so narcissistic n boring that they could actually laugh at themselves like human beings
More of Ricky Gervais. Most humble rich guy ever
Yes, one of his jokes that I remember, he was talking to his audience of something that happened to him - as he does - and it involved a trip of his in a helicopter and he was like, "If you've ever been in a helicopter you'll know - wait! Of course none of you have ever been in a helicopter!"
I’m assuming that’s sarcasm lol
Never used to rate Ricky, wasn't that into the office, when I watched his stand up it totally changed my opinion and hosting is just hilarious
Try his other sitcoms, Extras, Derek and afterlife 👌
Master class comedian 👏🏽
I like a drink as much as the next man... Unless the next man... is Mel Gibson!
I love how he cant resist to laugh at his own joke and he cracks 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I love this guy's humour.
If RICKY GERVAIS hosted the OSCAR, it would become the MOST watched show on earth!
I love Steve Carrell's response 🤣
"Cuz I was tired"
felt that in my soul 😄
The last one he hosted that was more than jokes. You could see the nervousness on his face. He went ham against Hollywood.
There's nobody like Ricky Gervais.
the only comedian too big for netflix
The only real funny man on TV, a genius.
