I learned 3 things from this, the intended strat for colgera, that I was looking for the spirit temple in the wrong place, and that I almost fought the demon kings army accidentaly

The fact that yeeting random stuff at enemies is actually a viable way to fight them is absolutely hilarious

Hey SmallAnt you can use Tulin's wind to throw items farther, just press A on him so he comes behind you and then A again immediately after you throw your object. Extra distance.

It's been like a month and he's already done something crazy like this, I can't wait for speed running to get going for this game it's gonna be insane

I used bows for colgera too. Had no idea it flipped upside down to dive into it🤣
Edit: Also, i didn't use the master sword a single time in the final fight until the scripted final strike. The only time I actually landed on him, i took gloom damage because I didn't land in the eye area, but on the black scales. I just used dive arrow shots with gibdo bones, with a savage lynel bow. 32 damage + 40 with the bones, ×3 for the triple arrows. It did a lot of damage so I thought arrows were the intended way lol

That transition was immaculate 1:30

My favorite part is shrines where they're really intricate puzzles and I'm just like "what if I built a really long bridge" and it works

In my first hundred hours or so I didn't know that activating Zonai devices didn't take weapon durability, so that's why flint is one of my most used items. I would use flint throwing to activate _everything_

In my casual playthrough the spirit temple was also my third since I saw the Faron sky and thought it was cool and might have good loot, I didn't know that it would take me hours to complete because it was only the third temple for a semi-experienced player.

You can actually do a 3 hit combo with Mineru if you alternate L/R inputs. It's a small but noticeable difference from spamming the same arm.

Only thing left is to allow glitches and see how many main quests are possible like this.

The sheer amount of creativity TotK allows for is just astounding, you can find an unorthodox solution for pretty much everything in this game

Damn i never thought about it but even in shrines where they give you a weapon, they should still be beatable without it because they normally give you a rusty weapon and you could quite easily break it by hitting a stone slab or something too many times. Though that also contextualises why hitting zonai devices doesn't take durability (unless you hit the non zonai part to power it on) and your weapon goes through regular walls. Funny that.

Useful tip!
If you get the Yiga clan armor and become a Blademaster, you can do a trial and get a damaging skill that doesn’t use a weapon! It’s the second reward if I remember correctly

Its mind boggling how much more well developed the Queen Gibdo is compared to the other bosses. She has extra defensive power that makes us use more strategically Riju's power (which is less OP as well), she has minions and she actually reacts to our aiming. All the others are complete chumps. Colgera is an absolute walk in the park. Mucktorok should at least have mud minions.

Watch spiff’s beating the game while having barely any equipment from heading to the end near the beginning of the game. It shows that the shadow shark can be hit with water with his head in the sand, and is a good video overall. Also I love the video. Thx for the content smallant ❤

I wish there was a bombardier outfit or something that increased the damage and range of thrown items. It could have a set bonus of reduced explosive damage too.

I still think its funny how most players either used a Bow or Dived to defeat Colgera
You can actually 2-phase him easily since you can destroy the other 2 parts of him while he's flying vertically, so Bow is a bit more optimal

I never even thought about it, but yeah, if you could only destroy the Gibdo towers with Rijus power, the fight before Ganondorf would likely be near impossible.

Throwing items has made these challenges really interesting

I don’t know if it was ever figured out but you can throw rocks at the ore nodes to break them.

I loved the boss fight in my playthrough, it was hard but i liked the timings.
