These actors have brought so much joy, entertainment, conversation, controversy, professionalism, tenacity and a realization of so many imaginations that they deserve every clap, every 'whoop' and every accolade. Few actors can compare (and directors and producers!!!). I wish them all the best.

Picard had to come in person to rescue us from the mess this franchise had become with absurd scripts full of violence. It is true that sadly season 1 and 2 Picard also disappointed with the contemporary unending cynical and depressing over-dramatized style series. BUT I have hope for having recovered the entire Next Generation team . I MISS the days when episodes were complete stories on their own. I loved the episodes with beginning, plot and ending. You could make them a fan by just seeing any of them, and they will be remembered in many conversations with affection.
I do not intend to mythologize Star Trek, which after all is an entertainment show but it is NOT an ordinary adventure show about futuristic conflicts. I'm sorry for those people who didn't see Star Trek in the 90s because they don't understand the tremendous impact and importance it had and still has in the whole world. It is not only full of hopeful perspectives on what can reach humanity in terms of scientific and technological achievements, but also imbued with a very special philosophy.
It deals with the inner journey to examine the human condition and the pacifist philosophy, always deepening with the idea of good understanding and communication between different cultures. Democracy is not just a condition that is given to us, we must defend it, breathe it every day with our actions and pass it on to future generations. The future is in our hands, thanks Star Trek!

Strange New Worlds is self contained episodes, with some light serialisation. It's honestly my favorite of the current era Star Trek. Though i must say Picard S3 is giving it a run for it's money. Kinda awesome to have good Trek again.

I’m not a fan Patrick in Trek. I adore his work in other franchises. Getting the other cast members a place to just show how much we’ve all known they always were. They are very talented! I wish some of the really obstructive fanbase that can’t separate the actors from their characters. I can see the frustration in their eyes. No problem for me because I’ve gone on to really enjoy some of the crews other work.

That question about who was a better villain, Q or the Borg... It was a binary question that deserved a nuanced response. Q is not equivalent to the Borg. Q was an antagonist, not a villain. He was far more complicated than that. He was there to juxtapose Picard's stiff upper lip; he played with Picard and enjoyed Picard. The Borg were a threat, a mindless collective that juxtaposed the Federation. Big difference. I wish the host pressed them more on character motivation and let them explore that more.

We are the alternate universe. The actual crews and people in Star Trek series are real just in another dimension/universe. the connection the actors have breaks through that dimensial barrier. The Writers of the various shows should take care for their pen dictates the going-ons of lives hundreds of trillions of kilometers away and far in time.

The ads should be condensed into one or two at most chunks. At least should happen for paying Clip-Share premium members. Clip-Share premium isn't exactly that cheap either for what it is really. This is a bit naughty to have such obnoxiously frequent ads for paying Clip-Share members.

Patrick Stewart cannot be forgiven for the last two series of Picard in which he destroyed his character
And he wanted to do the show alone they offered to bring back the original cast when they started to create this show but he didn’t want it
They did this now because 1&2 were atrocious

    • Startrek1965
      Startrek1965 3 months ago +7

@MOLE there was no two series of Picard, there were two seasons of Picard and there is not to be forgiven for he did not destroy his character. He has done great work on Picard, for the two seasons are great and so is the third season. Great work for all the actors and stage crew and others that making this a great Picard series.

Shaun Craig Parkinson 3 months ago +1

@Mark McAndrew I do remember seeing an interview with Patrick saying he did not want it in space or with the TNG crew, he wanted something totally different. You're right, he didn't right the script, but he was and still executive producer on S1, 2 and 3, so he does have some blame in Season 1 and 2 being weak, and messing with cannon. All the swearing, poor dialog, and characterisation is weak. So here we are S3, and it's back to the original score, set design and cast.

I don't understand, in this panel video Gates McFaden looks like Gates McFaden just a little more seasoned, but in the actual series the makeup artist has made her look like a cosmedic surgery cautionary tale. I am not the only person of this opinion, I have conversed with many other people who comment on the series saying they feel bad for her for quote, "doing that to herself". Surprisingly seeing this video panel it is clear she has not abused "plastic surgery". Very bad makeup and possibly lighting/cinematography.
