Honestly could not give a shit less whether they get some famous person to act in a game. 9 times out of 10, this just means they spent a boatload of money they didn't need to and rushed the product (kevin spacey, keanu reeves)

@No No that’s not how budgeting works for a huge development like this. The game development department would have its own budget based on what they want to create and how much they want to spend in that area. Simultaneously the VA department would also have its own decisions around budget and talent. The WB board would oversee the total budget and make sure things don’t go over but they don’t say “we need to spend 250k on Simon Pegg so take that from the gameplay guys, I’m sure they don’t need it”

I always love how passionate Simon Pegg is about the franchises he takes a part in. The guy is such a geek; that's utmost relatable and I adore it ☺️
Now we just need Simon to peform as an older Phineus Black in any possible future Wizarding World films whether it's Fantastic Beasts or other possible entries lol.

I’ve bought the game 2 days after the release date and been playing for 60 hours. I chuckled a lot especially during the Polyjuice potion mission, Pegg’s so funny 😂

You can still support the game and not pre order. Pre ordering is in the end just bad, no matter how good the game looks, or how communicative the devs are :P
The cast may have been elevated but the production value of the game went down drastically...
How are you going to make a good video game with great assets when you're paying ridiculous amounts of money to Hollywood actors for voice acting???
The best part of this is that Pegg isn’t just an actor, he’s a good voice actor. It won’t just be Simon Pegg’s voice on a character model, it’ll be a performance

It will be interesting to see a headmaster who is notorious for the wrong reasons as a contrast to Dumbledore, who was notorious for the right reasons. We'll have to see which characters support this headmaster and those who oppose him.

There’s at least 3 Weasley's in Hogwarts legacy Matilda as deputy head mistress it's the young one that duel 🤺 against us in the 1st showcase or he was in the state of play I don't remember then the older one that's seen with orange hair in the potions 🧪class/ griffindor common room talking to our player

I think that telling us these little "did you know" details shows that these developers really do love Wizarding World. Sure, many of us who read the books and saw the films several times already knew it but this shows us that they love HP as much as we do. Love to see that people who make this game actually give a damn about this awesome world...not like people who make Netflix Witcher series...

They modeled his character to look like Sirius too - this game is going to be amazing!
Most of the men in the Black family passed down similar genetic traits in their appearances! So naturally they all looked somewhat alike! Or had tell-tell features that gave them away. Much like the Weasleys and the Malfoys.

Too much hype is never good, but I just can't help, but be hyped about this. I don't care where it all came from, what I care is how the world itself made me feel as a kid and continues to do so now that I'm an adult and this is exactly what I'm looking for in this game. Stoked to see Simon Pegg in it, he too has been part of my childhood growing up with his films, especially Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead and he is a welcome sight in this.

At this point the graphics could be 2009 as just having Simon pegs voice would be icing on the cake for me this game has done way too much for the lore it's set in stone I just wanna play it can't go wrong with this game its just gonna be a maze of fun to get lost into the lore and aw of it now
There are exceptions. So many people don't know what red flags are for games and they pre-order it.
This one's an exception and it's gonna be stellar. The huge green flag for me was the Twitter outrage. Pre-ordered it as soon as they wanted a boycott

First off, the voice of Phineas Black is awesome. Secondly, it interesting how he is described as a helpful hindrance. Seems like the type of guy that doesn't try to purposely make it difficult for you, he just does his own thing and doesn't care about anyone else. 👍
Phineas Nigellus Black was the least popular headmaster that Hogwarts ever had. He hated his students and the feeling was mutual. Phineas only cared about the prestige that came with the job.

This game looks absolutely amazing. Everyone who worked on it should feel proud.
Fortunately, I was aware of Simon Pegg's involvement in this game before I started playing. As soon as I heard the headmaster's voice, I recognized that it was Simon Pegg. His voice acting was phenomenal, and he portrayed the character's indifferent persona so convincingly that it felt like he was truly the most unloved headmaster. I particularly enjoyed the mission where I had the opportunity to interact more with the headmaster's character (without spoiling anything). The quest had me laughing and giggling throughout, and it was a delightful experience. 🤣🤣🤣
As a fan of Simon Pegg's work, I appreciated his remarkable acting and his dedication to his role. It was clear that he put a lot of effort into portraying the character and bringing him to life in the game. His performance gave me another happy moment and made me appreciate his talents even more.
With my age, I kind of just missed the Harry Potter train. Now my daughter is 7, and I think this will be the perfect entry point for her into this world, she was pretty enamored with the trailers I showed her so far

For almost two years I expeted that he will be Headmaster of Hogwarts in this game, but I really not expected that Simon Pegg will voices him. Now I wonder if Phineas' firstborn son Sirius Black II will also appear as student and probably Slytherin classmate of our protagonist.

What makes me super happy is that the developers are still being loyal to Rowling's material: by which the families established in the Harry Potter story have played an important role throughout the history of Hogwarts and the British Wizarding World at large. It only makes more sense - and makes me so very happy - that a Black family member was once a headmaster of Hogwarts; that's just perfect and amazingly fitting!

Yep, pre-order is happening today! I Love Simon Pegg. The man is amazing, and I think his casting points to the depth of the story. Simon doesn't need the money or the work, and he's certainly not a B rated actor. He's selective in his roles, and he's a writer himself who's made some huge pop culture favorites. He genuinely seems excited to be playing this Black family role. So Excited by this /for us HP gamers!

OMG Simon Pegg is voice acting in this. Increased intensity hype by 1000% Got it preordered and ready for midnight release. Although wish more CE's were available, I would have loved the book and wand for displaying but I'm not going to pay 150-200 dollars over the MSRP. Congrats on release date being just over 2 weeks away, and super excited. May have to binge the books and do a movie marathon again. XD

Now I gotta wonder how deep the devs are going in terms of reactivty... in the books, Snape reacts much different to his fellow Slytherins than he does to anyone else, not just Harry & crew, so it would be pretty damn awesome if Headcase Black would also treat the player differently at least some of the time depending on which house they chose to be sorted into.
