On today's episode of Car Trek, AutoTempest challenged the guys to find out how broken their cars actually are, but there's a twist this time. Ed's Maserati, named "Mona," stole his heart but may still have eyes for his bank account. Tyler's Audi S8 has the Quattro pedigree, but it's far from a track-prepped race car. Freddy's Rolls-Royce is as solid as a tank but leaks like a submarine with a screen door. This is going to get a little sketchy.

I couldn’t let Freddy have a better jump than me. I needed more air time!
Did they fix the cars?
That crash looked so fake, even the impact looked off. Guess the airbags were totally broken ?
With great airtime comes great error time
Ed explaining the damage to the Maserati reminds me of a teenager explaining to his parents how the family car ended up in a ditch 🤣
Yep sounded like my first two crashes explanations, I got bollocking for being reversed into while parked
"There was ice on the road"
Parents: it's July.. and 90 degrees outside..
We’ve all been there
The ditch moved, mum honest it did really.
The Wizard knows all about that...
That was actually a decent Ace Ventura impression by Hoovie.
I love how much more confident these guys are getting doing this show. I hope they continue and make it better and better.
i have grown to appreciate tyler’s physical comedy alot. sometimes he misses. but sometimes he really nails it.
Dunno im liking Ed's analogies a bit more. With some practice and experience I think he can start to get close to Jeremy Clarksons level. I will give Hoovie the "Angry Dorito" regarding the RX7 in another episode. That made me laugh.
Tyler and comedy do not belong in the same sentence.
Can’t believe how good the Car Wizard has got in front of the camera, he was a plank of wood caught in the headlights of a fast moving tank in Hoovies early films. Now; he’s calm, cool and collected.
A reminder that Tyler is a professional dad. He knows how to pack all of his crap and everyone else's because the kid still has to fit in the car along with him.
Car Trek is hands down my favorite Clip-Share Series. Props to Nathan and AutoTempest for sponsoring such greatness
Yo check out the Michael fassbender and Porsche road to Le Mans series if you want another excellent one
@Andrew Maddalena might as well be haha
you are the Justin Y. of car youtube
If I was Aging Wheels there is no way I'd let Freddie drive my stuff LOL
Notice that the car Wizzard appeared quite annoyed when he said, it's not even their car when they put it up on 2 wheels.. He clearly has a lot of respect for other people's stuff and looked a bit concerned. But all in all, it's clear they are all good friends.
You guys are hilarious. This series is better than any comedy show on TV, and IT'S CAR GUY COMEDY.
THANK YOU SO MUCH
FREDDY, ED, and HOOVIE.
Thank you Autotempest for sponsoring this series. I can't wait for the next episode.
Good job. This felt lot less scripted. This was great episode. Poor Freddy and that Rolls 😁
I wish aging wheels was in the video, but it was cool to see his shop. I would love to have seen the behind the scenes when they all meet with aging wheels and see them look and talk about the bus.
I wish they'd have given him a shoutout, his channel is terrific.
That would've been awesome!
How could they visit Robert's garage and not drive the Trabant, the most legendarily awful car of all time?
Go Trabie Go!
Woooo! Go Aging Wheels!
Too bad Robert didn't make a cameo. My favorite channels, Aging Wheels & Under Dunn
I absolutely love watching you guys having a great time and a few shenanigans along the way! Thank you for making these
Are you sure the odometer discrepancy on the Maserati wasn’t just the scan tool showing the mileage in km? The wizard knows his stuff for sure but when I use ISTA on my M5 it shows mileage in km. And 122514 km translates to 76127 miles
It could be, but those numbers are still 300 miles apart, which means there’s still some form of odometer discrepancy, albeit with it displaying more miles than it should
@Austin Hise No requirement for the odometer to be accurate in the law, could just be that the number is multiplied with a conversion factor with fewer decimals.
@SoulFly I have a Fiat from 2001, it has an ECU and registers mileage in it, but it also had a analog odometer, the whole instrument cluster is analog.
With 136.000Km showing on the odometer, the ECU showed 121.000Km or so when scanned via OBD2.
And I know it wasn't altered, because this car has been in the family since new.
@Austin Hise Perhaps they reset the odometer mileage in the factory after all engine/brakes/suspension testing, but forgot/couldn't to reset the ECU mileage.
Granted, 300 miles is a lot for test drives, but it doesn't sound impossible to me.
@Austin Hise well considering that wouldnt be an issue on a precomputer car. and also that this car is NoT anywhere near new. im gonna say you dont make any sense.
literally if you drove with a spare to long it could mess up your odemeter. many many things can mess it. ESPeCIALLY in a car like this where all electronics are connected. and if one goes down the whole thing goes down. they literally could have blown a fuse and it would have not worked for that many miles.
Please please please make this into a full time thing you three work so well together. Honestly enjoy these shows as much as old top gear.
Please keep this series going! Incredible production quality and content with that great old school top gear feeling!
You guys are definitely the best Top Gear rip off to have ever come out. What's better is the fact that you're aware of that and have embraced it. Keep it up. Congratulations on achieving what most car people dream about. I look forward to many more seasons.
The chemistry between you guys gas grown so much. I can't wait to see what all else you will come up with. I do have to say though, not going into detail as to what was wrong on the cars seriously rubbed me the wrong way. We're car enthusiasts, we want to know. Also, I thought the Jim Carrey thing was too long. The quote and a quick shot of Tyler's fave would have sufficed. Keep up the great work guys!
“The closer you stand to that car, the faker your watch looks” lmfaooooooooooooo
@SoulFly car salesman are very quick witted. Speaking from personal experience.
He's got the best burns
@Anthony Underwood ya but thats a known line. very well known. its funny but doesnt quite have the impact of eds line. ive never heard anyone say that. its hilarious.
ed is the fastest with those lines.
Great to see that Jared (Hooptie Santa) is finally on the Car Trek Series, he deserves it. Can't wait for the next episode.
Well he is part of the production crew.
@dank9288639 I agree 100%
he was also the driver of the flatbed truck on S3 E1
Jared over Wizard all day bby!!!
@Tõnis Leissoo yeah, 4 cylinder Mustang Elvis was the shit!
Good job guys. You really capture the old top gear style and the love / hate friendships. Awesome work! Love from Sweden
This show is actually pretty great. You each gotta pretty awesome personality that makes this interesting to watch. Not gonna lie though, I was so devastated watching that Maserati go through that beating. Also nice seeing the car wizard ;)
Ed's voice would make even IKEA assembly instructions seem interesting.
Outside of that, it's nice to see channels that could be competing against eachother, coming together to make something fun and family-friendly to watch.
Thanks for the show, fellas!!
This is awesome! I always look forward to these episodes. Maybe for the next one they can all get each other old trucks and do an off-road challenge!
Give Hoovie an Oscar for that Ace Ventura impersonation.
Whoever is producing this, keep it up! The production value is amazing for a Clip-Share show.
I love what these guys are doing! Great content, keep it up. I really appreciate the inclusion of other Clip-Share contributors particularly the wizard, I can’t keep a straight face when he’s on, he’s tree-bark like personality is so dry that becomes comical.
Whenever I heard of cars with numbers (like #9 of 60) I’d always thought these cars would be well tracked and never understood how they just cease to exist.
Then there’s Ed’s Maserati
seeing as how at the time of this series, Neiman Marcus filled for bankruptcy, so there's a solid chance that the only people who would have any kind of paper trail would be Maserati. or whoever were the previous owners.
Almost brought a tear to my eyes when I saw what happened to the Maserati. People with money have no respect for things the rest of us will never be able to afford ...
Really don’t know how to feel about Robert from aging wheels not being mentioned or being anspart of this except for the credits at the end. You spent so much time in his shop and with his cars... Sure there was an agreement but still...
I feel like there's a reason for this and he probably had some say in how it was credited.
Maybe he didn’t want to be featured in the show. I’m sure that was an option.
I feel bad for the quattroporte, I've always liked them. Too bad they never came with a manual transmission. They'd be legendary with a good reliable manual trans paired to that engine.
it did get a zf 8 speed later which seems to be reliable
to this day i love the quatro tt. i seen one not long ago and got excited. i followed the lady driving it into a gas station. she prolly thought i was a weirdo but i asked her about it and she was telling me its junk. no matter what you think of cars like these. you still have to respect the engineering that went into them.
i mean this one was literally too good for the show so they had to wreck it lol
I wonder how hard it would be to take a wrecked one and put the Ferrari engine in something else.
Thinking the biggest issue would be making the ECM work without the other electronics.
Not a car guys but love this series. Very entertaining! Great job guys.
I appreciate the work you all put into this
For the presents they should have measured the overall cubic feet of presents they were able to fit in since they were all sized so crazy!
"This is a lovely room of death" great Ace Ventura reference!
hoovie really made a great reference. had to go back to watching this after watching when nature calls!
Can I just say that Ed's analogies are supremely on point.
We have to admit that Cartrek is the best car related series on Clip-Share.
I don’t know why but every single one of Ed’s one liners made me laugh. “Maserati is a 7 series that was raised in Scientology” 😂😂😂
Thank you autotempest for giving us viewers to have the opportunity to have shows like this
I love yalls series i been binge watching them all...please keep making more yall make youtube worth watching
Why would I need Top Gear or The Grand Tour, when I've got these excellent presentations! The Car Trek episodes are amusing and generally informative. As long as they keep the informative aspects about the cars etc I will love it for ever. Cheers to Auto Tempest, Tavarash, Freddie and Tyler Hooptie for entertaining and informing. Maybe an off road version next? Or minivans? Or mini cars? There are many possibilities as long as it doesn't get 'The Grand Tour' ridiculous no longer containing useful car information and content.
Love the channel
It was so nice of Ed to crash the Quattroporte so that the others would have a chance in the following challenges.
Now that's what I call Christmas spirit.
This may help explain another troubling mystery of late; this may have a great deal to do with the red Ferrari seen co habiting Robert's shop recently!
I’ve enjoyed all your videos for a long time now. This show is gold! I could not stop laughing. Thanks guys Merry Christmas.
"This car needs just 2,800 dollars to bring it into full running order" - "Great, let's destroy it."
rib bit Mr. Wizard just bought the Ferrari 308 from Tavarish - almost as if he wants to save it from the same fate.
I also think a minivan episode, or a pickup truck episode, or a mid sized sedan episode would be fun to watch.
The sequence with Tyler entering the "room of death" is hilarious! My favorite part of the entire series.
"This thing has all the stability of a Charlie Sheen therapy session."
Winning!!
Ironically I just went back and watched the songify version of this event completely forgetting that comment was made. Worth watching again
....or yesterdays "Markle married to be a princess and look how she ended up......"
I've had my parents' Geo Metro up 95(even though speedo only went to 90) and felt safer in that than I would in a Reliant Robin 😬
Enjoyed the series, so far, but two things really came to mind this time;
1) The fact that turning back the odometer gets called to attention due to being a crime (sure no problem), but a linked brake/suspension issue is shushed, wouldn;t that become a crime too when he'd actually end up with no brakes and possibly a crash as a result?
2) Noticed Ed was actually sitting with his head/helmet IN the recess of the roof window, wondering what would happen if he'd suddenly stop, only to see at the end of the video he goes and does exactly that.
As enjoyable as this episode was to watch, it hurt my soul watching my dream car hit a tree to get just 8 inches of air.😢
In terms of design, the Maserati is an early 00's Buick LeSabre with some grated parmesan and chiffonade basil dusted on top. From the front and sides, when you think about it, it's pretty accurate.
“And the place looked like it was owned by the kind of person who thought Cecil the lion had it coming” lmao Ed has a never-ending supply of references 😂
"Tyler, the closer you stand to that car, the faker your watch looks" - amazing!
I got far too excited when they ended up at the Aging Wheels Garage.
Well done team, this one was the best episode of the Car Trek shows I reckon. Ed's joke game is on form.
Id be super concerned about if the unsafe braking issue was fixed with the rolls before i left them leave
Love this show... Keep it up guys !
The previous owners must've been so relieved to be able to get buyers for their cars.
And the Rolls owner set up the next buyer to die if they didn't have a full inspection.
The one lesson I've learned is that by using Auto Tempest there's a chance Hoovie will buy my terrible car.
I've considered finding totaled cars at auctions that look like something Tyler would be into then putting them on Auto Tempest as the lowest priced X in the country... at a significant profit over the auction price. Probably a solid plan to get some of that Freddy's Frozen Custard money.
Last episode I was like "Ed is driving like a mad man!" This episode he had to push it a little harder.
This is so much better than TV. Bravo on a well put together video 👏
Ed doing his best Clarkson impression is stellar
Thanks for the entertainment. Really enjoyed the total package. Waiting for the next production.
Hahaha that was an awesome Ace Ventura re-enactment play, well done Tyler! I was laughing like a little kid at a candy store high on sugar.
Wizard getting annoyed with Hoovie for tickling his beard was great! And of course Wizard had to taste everything...lol
Ed and Eddie's reaction to almost dieing is classic. 😂😂
Lol I still watch this every now and then to see Ed’s reaction to crashing the QP.
I’m actually impressed how entertaining and well shot this was haha
2nd time through this season.
Ed deserved extra time for having to dig presents from Tyler's ride.
You guys need to do a series where you all get 70’s American cars, then go have Derek at Vice Grip Garage fix whatever issues they have, Vice Grip Garage style.
I am impressed this really fills the top gear shaped hole in my part, great job guys
Great episode guys, the ending was hilarious. Freddy you got lucky lol!!
There's a movie I can't get out of my mind after watching this video that had a whole bunch of well-to-do's driving Jaguars, Rolls Royces, some BMW's,a Porsche and a couple of other modern day exotics in a little friendly competition where they were jumping and crashing them for fun, but for the life of me I can't remember the name of the movie!!!!《☆HELP☆》 but this whole video makes me reminisce of the scenes of the first 15 minutes of this movie from the 80's( I think?)🥴
Ed made the episode with the time honored classic “Anything you can do I can do better” moment.
As a Hungarian that Trabant makes memories come back for me❤
I love how Ed keeps dropping eggs in radiators, what a hilarious "schtick"
“They’re trying to flip it over, it’s not even their car” I feel you WEEZURD
@Spy ThorRobert was indeed included using his full name but his channel wasn't mentioned (at least I didn't see it). I'm sure it's some sort of a contractual thing...
@Alexei he was in the credits
In case anyone is wondering, the Reliant Robin and the shop in the episode are owned by Robert from the Aging Wheels Clip-Share channel. I'm not sure why there was no mention of his channel in the episode or at least in the description
Just like the old top gear trio sabotaging each other
I love this Car Trek serie, you 3 guys are really great, each in your own way. And let's not forget the Wizard of course :) Fuck TV this is the shit!
These could be hour long special. Keep these up!
OMG. I remember the Top Gear episode where Clarkson drove the Robin. Never laughed so hard in my life.
Lol, a plastic pig! Haven't seen one of those death traps in ages. They were fairly common in the UK about 20+ years ago, but I'm pretty sure they made well more than 900 of them, 600 left sounds about right though. Clarkson used to own one you know!
Love that they put head restraints on the 3 wheeler that just about reach your shoulder blades 🤣
"They're gonna try to flip it over and it's not even they're car."
Did anyone else see the look on the Wizard's face when he said that. I'm a mechanic and I definitely caught that. 😂
@r4nd7r04d5 Oh sorry how rude of me, I didn't answer your question! Sorry just bored.😮
I laughed so many times, Ed is a hoot!
" We got miserable deals on terrible cars." Ed Bolian - December, 2020
Absolutely love this car series.
If I've learned one thing from this episode, it's that you never buy a fixer-upper luxury car - but if I've learned two things, it's also that you never touch The Wizard.
Ed has his shrewd negotiation skills for Freddy getting him the nicest car in the competition.
I think Ed sticking his arm out and hanging helped balance that 3 wheels car out and preventing it from rolling over 😂
Much better production and acting this time. It doesn't look as fake. I actually enjoyed it!
Do an episode where you have to test which reliable car is the most reliable. Grandma's Camry vs. highschooler's golf vs. cop crown vic. First rally them, jump them fast and furious style over a rail road with a train, then drift, then see how much damage was done by the wizard. Add all points at the end see which car still costs the most at the end.
That mileage discrepancy was most likely the conversion to kilometers from miles
Tyler hoover is one of the most underrated comedians in the filming industry
@6:23 that hip thrust tho. Tyler was really... uhh... getting into that. Someone should loop that like Hammond and his Argentina Mustang.
The Ace Ventura bit was unexpected, love it!
I would love to see some reliable cars next time
Lol @1:37 haha...that was not expected. Well done boys. I had a genuine belly laugh. 😂
Tavarish probably needs to know about the fluid leak that will cause brake failure
i sorta wish we knew what damage there was before that rally lap and after.
