It’s like Nightbirde came back to the stage as an angel dressed in white to say hi and let Simon, the judges and the whole world know that she’s okay. She is not in pain and she’s singing with absolute joy and freedom now.❤

@Lola BEANZ 🍄 she was a contestant from 2021 who's talent, strength and wisdom let Simon to give her the Golden Buzzer. She was battling cancer when she auditioned and had to withdrawal because her health was deteriorating. She finally succumbed to cancer in 2022 at the tender age of 31. But more than her music, it's what she said to Simon that moved the heart of the world..........."You can't wait until life isn't hard anymore to decide to be happy."

The tribute was beautiful. The sentiment powerful. One thing I can't help but notice is how beautiful and powerful this particular arrangement of the song is. The musicianship they displayed is even harder when the song is so emotional.
The message. The song. The performance. They may even win this competition, but THIS is the moment the world will remember and be touched by for years to come

I can’t think of a group better to have done this tribute. Jane was a pillar of positivity. She once said her survival chance was 2%, but it wasn’t 0% so it was something. In the face of adversity and in the face of her fight.. she has pushed awareness through her music about cancer and so much more. 1 person touching so many lives. Then seeing that it was more than. She ever could have imagined. I love this group and already want them to win! I can’t wait to see what’s next, but I have played this over and again because I love their voices and their dance. I hope they inspired more people.

This might be the best audition of all time on AGT. It was everything. It was like a cleansing ritual performed for all the strong emotions that hit us all when Nightbirde had to go. It was intimate and all was on the table - nothing hidden. Terry with his big heart, all of the judges, Simon's broken heart and perhaps above all, the compassionate and honest audience screaming their emotions out. What a gesture to give the audience the power to give a golden buzzer. It was an enchanted experience. And Mzansi... beautiful humans who performed perfectly and carried themselves with so much wisdom, grace and sweetness. The way they looked, the way they sounded and moved and how abruptly the song ended, just like sweet Jane's life... omg, I'm crying as I'm typing this. An unforgettable and incomparable event. Everyone's compassion brought so much fate and hope for our world and humanity. Thank you, Mzansi, audience, AGT and thank you 💖Nightbirde💖.

I had to go back to review the prior Nightbirde version and her backstory. I remembered she had cancer and had read she had passed away. Did not know she had touched so many worldwide. This rendition was truly a tribute and in some ways because of the harmonies surpassed the original version Jane sang. It brought goose bumps to an old man and it was sad yet SO uplifting. Jane would have loved this version and been so proud. I watched a version this group did a year ago and this version was so much better with so much more depth combined with both sadness, but a tremendous uplift. Also to have AGT do an audience golden buzzer was perfect. Thanks Simon for becoming human in the past few years of AGT judging.

As Sofia said, “the perfect AGT audition”. A beautiful tribute to nightbirde. I loved that at the end of their song, they all bowed their heads in a moment of silence for Jane. Amazing!!!

I can't count the number of times I've watched and listened to this video since they posted it. I'm always finding a part to focus on and listen to the way it interacts with the rest of the group. Truly, the arrangement and everything these kids did is beyond exceptional! If you listen, at 3:17 during the chorus, you'll hear what seems to be a rhythmic African word/chant. I'd love to know what he said and the translation. If anyone figures it out, please reply....

Zulu language: "Woza Maan" it's more like "come on y'all" it's a chant most choir leaders would say to kick up the energy to it's fullest potential in the group.

That is the first time I have ever seen Simon Cowell cry, which to me gave this audition more emotion. A beautiful and outstanding performance from the choir and their golden buzzer was truly deserved. I hope we see a lot more of them. To me this is an performance of unity, and a wonderful tribute to Nightbirde.

I love then rendition, the choreography, the get-up, the entire thing. The choir is not trying to be someone else. It wasnt a simple cover but a fitting tribute to an original. They would have earned the Golden Buzzer even if they chose not to play Jane's song.
But I'm glad they did. We all are. I understand completely how Simon is feeling. I've watched it more than a dozen times and I still get the same emotions about it. :)

I've watched this audition at least once a day since it aired. I love both the original version by Jane "Nightbirde" Marczewski and this version which took the original to a new level. The choir is very humble and the way in which they delivered Nightbirde's song brings so many happy tears every time I hear this version and the original. Jane was an inspiration to many, but especially to me being a survivor as well. Her song and her quote " You can't wait until life isn't hard anymore before you decide to be happy" are so inspirational because you don't know what tomorrow will bring and it's OK to not be OK. Thank you Mzansi Youth Choir for all your love and attention to detail on a song that holds a special place in my heart and I'm sure many others as well.

Hard to stop watching this, it's so inspiring. This group reaches out and touches the very heart of all of humanity, and all that is good in this very imperfect world. I love how so many of the members had a chance to speak, and the performance itself could not have been better. But make no mistake: the eloquence and sincerity of the littlest one at the end put you guys over the top. Amazingly, it echoed the effect that Nightbirede had on Simon Cowell, when he was at a loss for words and she said, "you can't wait for life to stop being hard to decide to be happy." This choir truly continued her legacy not only in words but in Spirit.
