You may notice a strange edit at the 14:18 mark. That's because I had to remove a tiny section of video as a result of FC Barcelona claiming all the monetisation on this video, and I was forced to remove a tiny clip of Messi scoring his first goal.

Best Electic vehicle is are as follows:-
      1300 kg
      1300 watts
130 kms in 1:1 ratio of rpm 😎
Meaning Tesla range have to be over 13,000 kms in single charge in 1:1 rpm and 24,000 kms and above in single charge with a transmission system with 1:13 rpm ratio mean 1 rpm of motor 13 rpm of wheels in middle level 1:1 in Torque mode 13:1 mean motor 13 rpm wheels 1 😇
Elon musk cars have over 500 to 600 miles range 😏
Change rpm to 1:1 can give us over 9x higher range which is over 4500 to 5400 miles per charge and I m not talking about using and transmission system which easily boosts the range of any Tesla cars over 13,000 to 24,000 miles in single charge 😏
But they r not going to do it cuz it’s very low profitable business and elon musk wants only money money money 😂

    SpaceX designs their own satelites.
    SpaceX makes their own satelites.

SpaceX recovers their rocket after each launch.

Any system whether it's terrestrial or satellite based has a finite bandwidth capacity per square mile/kilometer in relation to the number of users. Terrestrial broadband can be easily expanded by installing more fiber lines next to each other, which takes up relatively little space. However, there's a limited number of satellites that can be in orbit within safe distance from each other even with thousands of them in a lattice formation. There's a theoretical and practical limit to the number of users which can be served with adequate speeds within each square mile/kilometer on Earth even with the maximum satellite density possible.
Imagine dense cities like New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, once millions of users are sharing a limited bandwidth within a small relatively geographic area, speeds and latency will start degrading rather quickly. Unfortunately there's a limited number of satellites which can be above any large city at any given time, limiting the total data throughput. It's going to be a real technical challenge for Staflink or any other satellite provider to provide acceptable data service over densely populated areas.
Ironically with terrestrial internet, sparsely populated areas usually have poor speeds/latency usually due to lack of options and infrastructure, but with Starlink it's the opposite, in sparsely populated areas there's less load on the system therefore better data service.

    • Char Harn
      Char Harn 4 months ago

I do not no if Elon is in a fight for people or not I am skeptical however being a capitalist is a good thing because if that is the reason for this that it is money then it precludes it from evil you should wish this as well. One more thing to add problems for humanity are not left to the ones that hold all the wealth it is left to all. If you feel strongly enough about the problem show Elon you will do the work just maybe he will help fund you in your endeavor.

Quick questions on its application on financial market trading: Starlink is not recommending installed in population-densed areas because of the per satellite capacity. The communication between NYC and London might not be a ideal case solved by Starlink. So that first version of Starlink can't meet that need and I found it hard to solve that need from my knowledge. How do you guys see the Starlink evolving in the future that can be applied to these area? (some ideas like, increasing the per satellite bandwidth, specific/exclusive use satellite connecting the financial markets) Also any ideas about the feasibility?

I have a latency of 1,000+ ms and I am about 30-45 minutes east of Lansing in Michigan. Internet speeds during the day are about .5-10 Kb/s. It is a lot higher during like 3:30 a.m.-4:00 a.m. but I am never awake at those times, and the latency then is still just as bad, making playing Multiplayer on video games almost unplayable. But with starlink, my internet speeds will be much faster and I can NOT wait for it to be available for where I live!!

That’s y he is not supporting hydrogen cuz it’s even less money money money 🤣

@David Ogawa The technical limitation is the population density. Each satellite only has a limited amount of bandwidth. To a lesser extent, the population density also makes it harder for the phased array antenna to lock on to the signal.

Would the fact that time goes by slower on earth because of gravity’s effect on spacetime have much of a change on latency? I know they need to account for this time change in all satellites to keep track of position and I know it’s especially important for GPS.

I live out in the boonies and my download is around 150 KB/s on a good day. AT&T is using antiquated equipment in the area that they bought out from a ISP and manufacturer and none of their modern equipment is compatible, so no upgrades unless they want to shell out the big bucks. Seeing that this is going the way that it is after watching the launch today, I'm glad to see that either AT&T will have to step up their game in the area, or face losing thousands of customers to this lovely prospect.

I like being able to get away from connectivity and I fear that this is going to remove that ability to be "disconnected" when we want to be. Sure its great that countries without connectivity want and deserve to be connected and like us, when we discovered it we were excited and in awe of its abilities but as it has grown and developed and become more common place, we wish to be disconnected more least for a time.
I see the end of truly being FREE from the intrusions of the outside world on our lives and the connectivity of "the boss" when we want tranquillity and peace.

The low latency won't hold up to real life doings. Conversations rates are ignored and assumed that somehow all the satellites know everything instantly and yes 4 links are really good to track stuff but this won't happen instantly there will be a delay and im sure that it will take just as long in terms of latency. Also we didn't consider how many users there can be with what bandwidth since this will be a hefty factor.

One thing that this video doesn't cover is how the weather might negatively impact latency. For instance, how would a storm between the base station and the satellite constellation impact the latency? You might get packet loss (which require retransmission), lower bandwidth, and possibly no connection at all. In these cases an optic cable connection might be more reliable. I'd be interested to learn about these worst case scenarios.

That's right. I'm also interested in what will happen to the more reliable optic cables.
Will cable be phased out for civilian use? Will people be forced to use Starlink?
Another country could nudge or knock the satellites out of orbit, set up their own "Starlink" network, and/or block & intercept relays between satellites. Starlink is more vulnerable and costly than cable.

Seems the latency is ok, what about the throughput?

Everything about StarLink from its funding to its eventual goals is stunning. Elon is truly a genius and a well-rounded genius at that.

Has anyone stopped to think of how much light pollution these will cause and how it will effect stargazing? Also how about when one of them goes out and comes back into our atmosphere and crashes into something?

As I'm watching I'm realizing he's mentioning new tech over new tech over new tech and I realize this required a huge team to put together. Good job

Also SpaceX gets "free" tests on their falcon rockets, they can tweak some things and see the results without looking for a customer.
