For those who don't know , rage art's were added to tekken to help people who are terrible at fighters get a win
Lars by far is the most creative when it comes to using his lightning

Lars was the reason I picked up Tekken over a decade ago it’s good to see that he’s still as impressive as always

I love how they've seemingly increased the evasive properties of many of his attacks, looks like he has tons of high/low crush moves and they are all visually incredible.

@Eric Reid not really lars was still kinda like that in 7 but he got nerfed into the dust so he only had like what 3 or 4 options with stance switchs? And he was still like 30 or 40 on the tier list
@raccoon master tier lists are subjective but I see what you're saying.
And I certainly have never felt he was overpowered. He has some really good crushes but also some really punishable things.
One thing to note that makes this game extra fantastic-looking is that the lip movements look so incredibly realistic. This game is gonna be so good.

It's a good thing they don't have to deal with extra dubs since each character speaks their own language.

I don't play Lars, but it's about damn time he went full anime protag. His fighting style has always been so cool since his debut, but always felt watered down somehow. THIS iteration of him though, blows it out the park! This game is looking really aggressive with Lars looking the most aggressive in terms of tempo. Keep' em coming Namo!
He is the son of heihachi after all he scary strong in lore as well. Also want to see how they explore his biological fathers death by kazuyas hand.

That's the first thing that I had in mind, I'm instantly recognized it.
Hopefully we also get that sweet drip to match it, it's a cardinal sins that it only appear once in T6 and never again.
They probably took inspiration from his ultimate jutsu for sure. More people need to know that he used to be in a naruto game.

Kinda wish they made Lars either speaking his native Swedish tongue or speaking English with a Swedish accent. It’s still odd and baffling to me that the developers of the game never thought of this when they were developing his character before his first appearance in Tekken 6 (2008)
But that aside, his new look and moves look sick 👌🏼💯🔥
Maybe he was born in Sweden but lived most of his life in Japan.
@Brian Bustamante that would make a lot of sense, it just felt really off for me when I first played Tekken 6 and found out he was Swedish, but speaking Japanese.
I had the same feeling with Nina Williams having an American English accent when her character profile states that she’s from Ireland 🇮🇪 It all just feels a bit out of place to me 🤷♂️
Lars mains UNITE.... we can thank Harada san now cuz he granted us this masterpiece of a trailer showcasing the best version of Lars by far both gameplay and design wise
Some people have said that Lars will be high tier-top 10. Idk how to feel about that it seems unrealistic because of how badly they did him in Tekken 7
I love the ways these trailers are structured. They usually go like this:
Changes to old tech
New tech
New universal mechanic or change to old one
The characters heat properties/moves
Rage art
His lightning effect looks insane.
It even leaves trails on the floor
The dude really looked at the other Mashima electrics and was like "I got those too!"

Lars has been my main for 12 years now, and I am so happy to see him again. Although unlikely, I would love to see a spinoff game with him as the main protagonist, kinda like Death By Degrees for Nina.
Lars looks so good, they really worked hard to improve every characters it looks like.

I hope the main roster is around 30 something but seeing how much love their giving everyone so far I wouldnt mind a smaller roster if everyone is getting so much tools.
I think we all know he's going to inherit the Zaibatsu in the end. Jinpachi will get his wish fulfilled by having his descendant bring benevolence to the Mishima name.

Patiently awaiting Ling's trailer! I really hope Kuni finally makes it back to the main cast too. Most people don't even know she was part of the OG Tekken and Tekken 2; I just hope her T7 return wasn't just a one-off.

Lars has been my main ever since getting into the series with Tekken 6. It's been painful climbing ranks with him in 7, hopefully he's been buffed in 8. Lars main forever.
Lightning is off the charts, his model looks amazing in this new engine, and his new moveset looks fun as hell. Awesome job by the devs here.

@Steve Austin idk about the overall graphics, but when it comes to textures, it has improved A LOT. You can just compare their faces in this game with T7 and before. Especially Kazuya's face.
I understand why some people think that way, but Tekken's graphics is always stylized to kinda looks like anime, they're not went full Hyper-realistic like Mortal Kombat.
Okay now Lars is way more powerful than the Previous tekkens. His defense is much better now with some super mode & his flashing powerup combo blows a very nice touch. I'm completely hyped for this game hopefully later this year🔥🔥🔥🔥😁.

I am not much of a Tekken fan , besides the Anime's and I buy the games when their on sale just to support fighting games. but man this Lars trailer got me so excited about a Tekken Game . I watched this like 20 times and the announcer , he deserves a raise !
As a Lars main, this is everything i could've hoped for; loving the new mixups and I think I see improvements to to the properties of his existing T7 moves!!

Does anyone know if Lenne Hardt, the announcer, will be part of the main game? Im guessing she is just used for the trailers but she alone would be reason for me buying this game. Loved her since the days she was know as "screaming japanese pride lady" and still get chills when she does intros, so much better than other organisations.
I like how when he punch Jack it actually has Metal sounds. I hope you can break walls and floors in Tekken 8
All these year's, still love looking at this game, can't stand playing it. Lars really developed well as a solid new character all these years later. Tekken has really done a great job developing new character's into there games. 👏🏾

Nice to see the brother’s fighting against each other, Lars’ looking sick as usual. It’d be nice if we had a “sons of Heihachi” moment where Lee, Lars and Kazuya interact in some way.

Well technically lee isn’t included since he’s not a Mishima. Lars was adopted in to lees family. So Lars, kazuya, and Jin are the last of the Mishimas now.
Tbf his rage art looks very goofy, and it's basically Yoshimitsu's RA from 7

Tekken 6 was my first Tekken game. So Lars oddly holds a special place in my heart.

I love the new voice lines.. it remembers me of Tekken 4 scans and trailers, the feeling of a genuine new game, not just a little upgrade, that was huge.

im told your father was tagged and struck by Lars Rising Force when he openly bragged and exclaimed he was confident he could not be tagged by such a move ; when it struck him it sent him flying 3 stories to his death and ultimately he could not recover from such impact such force and all of his kings men could not put him back together again in an alternate universe

Throughout the video I was thinking "Is it me, or does Lars seem even faster than ever?" Then we see his rage art, which if I'm correct, comes from or is inspired by his Naruto Ultimate Ninja storm guest appearance special! They're really pulling out all the stops for EVERY character now it seems!
Everybody seems to reference Naruto, yet here I am thinking he attacks like Sonic the Hedgehog.

But still, you can't help but notice the similarites to how Sonic would attack in this rage art: super speed, strikes everywhere, bolts of lightning.
