Ace of Spades is probably one of, if not the, most famous weapon in video game history.
Um, not to be that guy but I’m going to be that guy. Revolvers don’t chamber rounds. He simply just clicked the cylinder into place. “Chambering” on a revolver is whats called reloaded. To chamber it would be ejecting a casing with a bolt carrier group slamming a new bullet into the chamber. Thats called a single chamber system. Revolvers are multi “chamber” its still called a chamber where the ammo sits in the cylinder but theres no sound of chambering like youre talking about as the chambering is done during reload
This trailer has the vibe of D1, the slow flowy movement, and the simple but epic orchestral background music that swells at certain points gives me intense nostalgia. This is different than the usual action packed movie trailer stuff, it's amazing.

The little destiny theme towards the end of the trailer never fails to give me chills, takes me back to the main menu of the first Destiny
God, it sounds so good.
It might be the menu theme for Final Shape. All the final themes in previews for a new expansion typically show up in the new start screen.

Destiny trailers have always been so well made. I wish the expansions were too.
They are, they don’t just consist of the primary campaign, they consist of all the seasonal content too.

@Atharva ArjunwadkarI kind of disagree with Deep being average. I think it was above average, especially if we compare it to some of the lower tier seasons, like Undying and Worthy. It's no Arrivals or even Dawn for that matter, or Chosen. But, it's got some great story beats. I'm looking forward to the next season after the end of the season reveal, honestly.
Also, Taken King, Rise of Iron, Forsaken, and Witch Queen where all well made expansions.
It was hard to lose Cayde during that fateful mission. Hearing this almost brings a tear to my eyes.

Even as a warlock main seeing Cayde 6 again brings a tear to my eye.
I teared up as my husband showed me this, cayde is one of my favorite characters and being a hunter myself this is even better!
This is something… I love the destiny universe and all it offers. Really hope our guardian has lots of catch up moments with Cayde and Ikora

Not much strength in this community. It is extremely toxic and almost always at each other's throats, many people who still play hate the game but are addicted.

I probably wont play this (because I just cant do destiny 2 like i used to), but damn it's been a long journey. o7 my fellow destiny fans
@Mr Xerxes Many of us hate the game actually. We hate that it is horribly unbalanced, they cut much of the most fun content, they try to hype people up by bringing back things we already paid for, and they are half-assing the seasonal stories (ESPECIALLY LAST SEASON.) This game has been steadily rolling off a cliff for the last two years and to say otherwise is just ignorant. Maybe you still like the game and that's good for you, I am happy that you get joy from it but the reality is that Bungie does not care anymore. They are in it for the money and nothing else, there is no passion anymore. Even with this new year on the way this first trailer shows that they will be relying on gimmicks again instead of anything with substance.
There is so much more wrong with it beyond the small amount that I listed as well.

This may get me back into Destiny if my schedule allows. I felt like we strayed so far from what this franchise was supposed to be this past year. But I am glad to see someone so iconic return.
The Feeling Of Destinys Light Era Coming To A Close Makes A Part of my life come to a close because bungie introduced me to halo reach which was my first fps game and then destiny stayed with me for years on end and now the end is near and i feel as if i must pay my homage to it even if my life gets more eventful, thank you destiny and thank you bungie for making this wonderful passion project.

Its been hard trying to move on from his death, but seeing him again officially makes the fire inside grow again

@Arise Again Nolan North voices Ghost and also Cayde but only in the Forsaken campaign. Nathan Fillion, the original voice of Cayde-6, has confirmed he is coming back to Destiny in The Final Shape.

Started in 2014, as 6 years-old kid, who loved this game, i met great friends, i was so happy always that i played D1, i buyed all DLC's and finished completely, my character close to perfection, and D2 i played with friends of my school who i dont talk with them a lot now... And this is the final of this, they'll change all

HE BACK! Welcome home Cayde! As someone who mains both a hunter and titan class i can happy say we missed you. And even if this is only for a short time we are gladly to fight along side with you again!
I am crying, I am screaming, I am jumping for joy. This is the small occasion that so many emotions run through my body. Cayde... best thing to ever come out of and live on in the Destiny franchise.
The fact that I was sat in a Cafe originally when this came out with my dad mom and grandparents and my dad passed me his phone because unbeknownst to me this trailer dropped and told my grandparents and mom to watch my reaction as I was watching it truly means something, I played d1 a short while when it first came out when I was younger then returned to d2 when shadowkeep dropped meaning I wasn't there fully for caydes presence but I adored him either way and when he died as I played through forsaken I cried myself to sleep that night, to see him back I can say I was absolutely gobsmacked and on the brink of crying in the middle of the Cafe, I started to dislike playing destiny but if anythings making me pull through for the final shape dlc and possibly content after that it's caydes return
As a Hunter, it feels good to see a legend return, though I feel it may be temporary, or he'll be the sort of vendor character for wherever we'll be in the next expansion.
Cool to see or hear Nathan Fillion back, too. We definitely needed cheering up the last few months.

I played in the red war, stopped, and started again around last week, loved Cayde, heard he died, that was sad, this is exciting, I'm also a hunter, glad it seems he's gonna return

Nathan is just such a key component of Sci-Fi these days I am always surprised if he is not the default actor for many roles. Like I was surprised when he wasn't in the Expanse series.

Is it really Nathan's voice or computer generated? They used the same thing for Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader last year. We all miss Lance Reddick & I wish he'd never gotten any of those evil jabs. I met him at Seattle Comic Con years ago before I began playing Destiny and he was such an incredibly nice man. If Bungie uses the computer generated voice for Zavala in the future I hope his family gets royalties.
Literally they knew they couldn't do anything with just Ikora, so they had to put cause back to fix it.
Honestly I stopped playing d2 bc he was gone. But now he coming back, I think Bungie made the right choice.

They knew people were beginning to leave and fed up with the boring content and retcon that they do to pad their releases, so they do this.

The final chapter would not have been the same without him. This changes my expectations a lot. Unfortunately I don't think he'll be sticking around afterwards. I expect a great many hits right in the feels are coming, especially with Lance gone. This may be a hard campaign to finish, on an emotional level.

@Saber traveller can't bring anybody back or create ghosts anymore after the witness opened that portal. Even your ghost mentioned it lost its connection to the traveller but not the light so that's out of the question.
I'm guessing it'll have something to do with a later season, probably going back to Europa somewhere with deepstone.
It's safe to say, no one is mad at this. Glad he's back, still one of my favor character's in any game.

There is a reason for this; and he looks almost fully light infused. It’s not outside the realm of possibility they’re inside whatever portal The Witness created and Cayde may be “living on” within the light there.
This is perfect. Cayde-6 was always the best, and there was a huge loss for the community when he died. Although, I was looking forward to Crow becoming the new Hunter Vanguard. That position has been vacant for too long
I'm tearing up, I can't believe he is back.
My theory is Cayde is really just a figment of whatever reality is inside the shape. Like the Ancestral Plains in Black Panther, maybe it’s a way for Cayde to act as a guide from beyond. I just wonder if this is inside the Traveler, or if the Traveler is being used a gate to another reality.
When I saw this trailer a few minutes ago while getting changed out of my gym clothes, as soon as Cayde appeared I gave that same look I’d give to a childhood friend I haven’t seen in years.

I loved the throwback to the original Destiny opening. I think this is their grand close before they start a new adventure entirely, whether it's a new game or a new chapter of Destiny.
I was 11 when destiny came out. Always wanted to play it but I was to poor to afford a gaming console. When I first started playing back in Season of the Lost, I was ecstatic. I know I wasn’t there when I started, but I will be there to see it end
So, the Traveler is basically Guardian Heaven? If so, the Witness is gonna have in hell of a fight, what with a bunch of zombie guardians. Also, the essence coming off Cayde looks like “pure light”, similar to Travler’s Chosen. Still, very happy to see Cayde come back

It sure has been. Some may not have had the same experience as me in destiny. But it's been countless good memories for me. "Incredible" is putting it lightly. I've sunk the most amount of time into the destiny games over all other games I've played.
We'll see, Bungie really took the wind out of sails of the story with Lightfall.

NGL teared up a bit hearing his voice again. It will be awesome to see how they bring him back.
I didn’t think about it until just now, but Zavala not being there with them is worrying me. I know Lance passed away, but that only left his character’s fate up in the air. Zavala’s absence for what could have felt like the three Vanguard’s reunion is a grim sign considering it already being speculated that he may be killed off.

I wish I was into destiny as much as I was invested in D1. At the same time I’m happy I’m not grinding every season. Good times. I keep up by watching the trailer and in-game cinematics now
