Remember when Lex used to be cool and play high stakes?
Aaaaa
Lex will always be cool. He's the man
He is playing a 10k tourney tomorrow and plays every scoop wcoop high stake tournament running so cool
Snap
Lex is still cool. Great guy and amazing poker player no matter what stakes he plays at
The announcers are so committed to the, this is a different day even though everyone is wearing the exact same clothes and having the exact same conversations, bit 😂
Im pretty sure they do the commentary in post, so the guys probably just get each episode in a rough cut to VO, so a 'day' to them is just an episode, but I agree that they should be more transparent about it because it just comes off weird, like these poker players are such degenerate gamblers they won't even go home to get changed lol.
@Stasi Vladimirov yeah it’s just split into 5 shows for there to be one each day of the week. And it also is scripted you can tell by the reactions in some of the shows
Originally it was published 1 episode per day. From viewers perspective saying earlier today would be confusing. Although they could've also used last episode or previews session too. Alternatively they are trying to create the illusion that everything is happening real time, which is a bit deceptive and could expose the commentary that is already feeling very scriptish.
Weird narrative I don’t know why it matters if it’s all one session split up into multiple episodes
They must tell the players they have to act that way too because they make comments sometimes like it’s a different day sarcastically
Im guessing its to establish that what they're referencing happened in a different episode maybe instead of saying earlier today making it seem like the viewer missed something
Well done Tod - just wait for the nuts. 😂😂😂 Tony G is a legend!!
I would've responded "Well done, Tony. Just play rags and be a calling station to the tightest guy at the table. And better yet, keep betting into the tightest guy at the table who keeps calling you". God Tony G can be such a bad player sometimes.
@Mr. T He said Raise that one time with nuts
@Trap Queen's Lawyer Good obv.
@Trap Queen's Lawyer word he usually gets personal
You could tell he wanted to say more to him. Normally he rips players mercilessly for playing like that. My guess is Todd got off easy based off who his father is
Tony G has really grown on myself as well. Extremely entertaining and a lot better of a sport than what people may think
Daniel is the coolest, happiest player in the game. The most stoic and implacable, who sneaks a smile out once in awhile, is Brunson.
14:56 "Well done Todd - just wait for the nuts" 😂😂😂 Hahahhahaha
@No No Tony G has made more money in poker than Todd Brunson....and it's right to give a nit a hard time
I can't tell you how funny Tony's parting comment to Todd is 😂😂😂 hahhahahaha
Scott and Dan are the brains of the group and both have great personalities. I love how Daniel, with his powerful intellect is always asked questions by the other players. And he always has the answers.
Daniel is Canada's leading export 😂
That was the most quiet Tony g I ever seen and I love it.
Also, this loose cannon is a monster, great plays.
If Phil was there he probably would of won
There’s certainly nothing wrong with the way Todd plays. Being tight can be right, but it makes for horrible TV.
@Dark Thought If you think reading an obviously tight player as overly tight is a pro, you have no idea what makes a professional poker player a pro.
@Dark Thought he made some great points, don’t have to be a pro to understand this
@Renaldo Awes I agree that when people play too tight, they become very predictable and often don’t get action.
@Renaldo Awes look! a youtube comment poker pro!
I used to watch WPT every week but lost touch with it. Now I have found these videos and I am so happy, Because I love to watch poker, especially professional players. I am even starting to love Phil helmuth And Tony G. 2 of my favorite players are Daniel, because I'm a fellow Canadian and Phil ivy
Seeing Tony G on tilt and demonstrating the deer-in-the-headlights look is pretty awesome. Though to his credit, he does tell himself it's time he get his bike and ride back to The Wynn. :-)
I love how Todd and Daniel don't answer Seiver when they ask how many chips they have behind. Regardless what people think, you do not have to answer that question, only required to have your chips viewable.
Damn, that kid is playing some poker.. Respect to that loose cannon..
10:03 great breakdown of Daniel against Vanessa, what he was thinking, what he thinks she has 👍
He ended up being right and I think made the right decisions
imagine if this show was just 6 Todd Brunsons playing against each other. Ambien would be out of business.
This is a great group of players. Great players.
And ability to change facial expressions
Cept Brunson, who seems to have lost his tounge..
Seeing Tony G increase his loss to 238K in 38 hands - beyond priceless.
...also priceless. being able to piss away more money in an hour than I (or you) will make in 3 years
I loved this whole series! Are there new ones coming?
@Zach Falbe 😂 chill bro
No
“Tony G’s last move was for the door after he dusted off a quarter mill.”
5:44 "She also flopped a gutshot to the nuts"
I love poker
I agree with Daniel waiting on his straight before playing on n saved chips from Venessa
Tod “just wait for the nuts” Brunson
@Peter Fitzpatrick Tony G ran terribly in this episode and profited massively from this series overall. Helps when you get invited back i guess.
Are you a nit like Todd?
The object of the game is to win... and Tony lost to Todd in that respect...his game is tight, so what ? ..... Its working for him !
Tony Gs game certainly wasn't working for HIM ! 🙄😏
Everyone hating on Todd but when he hits his hands he is good at getting good value on his hands
He's there playing serious poker. Suppose to be a poker personality show but he ain't having that. I don't mind his hustle cause $100k is still alot of money to them except a few
@ALMA 94 says the guy watching him play
I played at a casino once in Vegas with a guy that was a dealer at the Belagio. He ran down the list of what kind of tippers all the big pros were. I asked him about how well Todd tipped. He says "I dunno. Never seen him win a pot."
Brunson is not the guy you would call for a casual game but dude would be really good at in tournaments.
definitely not, with increasing blinds by time increments he'll be out in no time unless he gets unbelievably lucky and gets the nuts
great to see this old poker games . i remembering on this time !
Finally a very good lose cannon! Almost could be a pro (almost)
LOOSE indeed.
2nd time in such a tight instance where Vanessa got saved by the god of luck.
I'm so surprised that Tony kept calling Bronson. That guy's been playing super tight - guess Tony thought he was bluffing?
I feel bad for tony, he is such an entertaining dude
That "too many outs syndrome" is a real thing... more often than not, I lose with combo draws on the river.
Same, especially online. Thankfully online poker is dead now
Tony G got screwed this episode, he played it quite good too.
22:30 what is Daniel thinking betting into Todd 😂 he did put him in a tough spot on the river apparently but that’s an obv shut down on the turn lmao, unless Todd leveled him that he was floating
27:22 Isn’t the answer always? -> That proves how extremely smart that guy is, I guess nobody at the table realised that he is right.
18:17 The way Daniel creeps into the frame
You can tell that Daniel really disliked Scott Seiver.
@JeremyCuddles It reminds me of hanging out with a friend of a friend. It’s fine and whatnot, but neither of them play off each other’s jokes and ribs well.
@John Smith Long old comment, but when Lex joined Daniel mentioned that Tony's seat was continuing to run hot. Joking about how bad it's been. Seiver then said "It's not that" and I dunno. Just the way Daniel looked over to the couches he seemed rather annoyed. Also Seiver vomitting up that too many outs syndrom while Daniel was talking about how Tony never seems to hit. That was annoying me and I wasn't even the one talking. Seiver is genuinely annoying.
@Fiarus Gaming Anyone who can't see through Daniel's manipulative personality is pretty dim
Where do you see that? Daniel and Scott Seiver seem to get on fine
@Joshua Patrick Only when you see his "hand" so to speak. He's very charismatic and manipulative.
Brunson's call of DNegs bluff was just *Mwuah* chiefs keys
I wouldn’t be able to play poker with a guy like Scott
Todd played perfectly to never get invited to a televised table again. Folded 99% of his hands and never said a word. CaptaIn ponytail might have well not been there.
I love how these top players read the opponents hand but call anyway as , unfortunately, the money doesnt matter so much to these guys.
Also , i’m totally mystified when they act like a sick miracle occured when an opponent hits an 8% turn or river. Aces lose minimum 20% heads up .
I have never seen Vanessa before but I love how she plays. Also like how she dresses. and says she doesn't have to dress a certain way to try and distract the men. Lastly but not leastly she is extremely well educated and beautiful
It's doesn't matter if you win with an Ace or a Duece. Winning is winning
- Todd Brunson _raises hands in the air_
Tony G: Very nice Todd. Just wait for the nuts. Well done.
14:58 haha that tilt-roast xD
4:59 Woah Todd, you exposed your folded cards to the loose cannon
Vanessa has got the trifecta smart, sexy, great personality
Tony G played „poorly“ and had bad luck. I hated him on many other tables but this time I was really rooting for him. But Scott is just a complete knob.
How can you hate tony G
Facts.
Brunson in season 1 and Esfandiari in season 2 were wearing the same King of Hearts watch.
it’s so funny watching Scott back in the day when he was an outsider still , so awkward
Todd is wearing the exact same watch that Antonio Esfandiari use to wear all the time. Wonder if one of them gambled it to the other lol It’s not exactly a watch you see often
29:31 Look at that chip hahaha
Oh man, poor Tony.
Daniel and Amanda❤❤ gzz guys!!
Tony got careless with Todd... twice in one... that's a lot of money for a lesson..🤦♂️🤦♂️
I just watched Brunson mark an Ace by bending the corner of the card. Watch at 32:58 at 25% speed.
Edit: You can see the card is STILL bent when the dealer is picking them up!
I was always wondering about that. A lot of players bend them like that and often you can recognize the bent card. Does the dealer play every hand with new cards? Or how do they handly that?
It wouldn't last , dealer is sharp so are camera's
Lol no. Not sure what you think you’re seeing. He was looking at his cards and it got a little bent. Happens all the times.
I get that.. it just seemed like a natural peek rather than overextension. I understand what you mean though fully :)
@Tom Marrs No problem with looking at the corner of a card, but when you bend the Ace card hard enough to leave it bent after folding....that's a problem.
Scott is so passive aggressive it hurts
Why the hell was Tony calling Todd? Todd hardly played the entire time, he obviously has something. Did Tony really think his 8s were good? Pretty stupid of him.
Lol you get in there and play with them see how you do chump
James Bowles Yeah true. He was heavily tilted
He was just suck nearly 200k and so tilted - Tony is a calling station
He might have thought Todd had a busted flush draw (two clubs on the flop and a third club never came) but yeah I agree it was weird
They missed some hands. After episode 1 canon was up 9400 now he’s down 400?
Tony G to Todd... 😂 Perfect reply ....
Im so confused. Players make a big deal about blockers, so Lex thought Vanessa had a 6(which he blocks) with a worse kicker, 6,7/6,8/6,5 and probably some draws. So if blockers are so important, why is he betting the turn and calling river? she's not betting a 6 on the river, maybe A6. Im just not a big believer in blockers.
troyhbk Honestly, Lex played the hand poorly. After Vanessa calls the turn a 6 will 99% of the time never be good
Every time seiver speaks its more awkward than the last
Todd is like a lot of guys who play that way…. They are super tight barely play any hands then when they play one someone just calls them all the way down or tries to bluff them
I think it’s that guys get so few chances to get a crack at him they think it’s their chance…really everyone should just get away from it unless they have a really strong hand
I always thought tony g was arrogant and obnoxious when he wins, but now he is loosing it doesn’t feel right. I want him to win again
Damn Vanessa lucky af
Check Aaron for batteries, dude did you see his shirt jiggling all over the place cause he was jackhammering his legs like he was trying to dig himself out of the aggression hole?
15:11: Did Seiver tip the dealer a hot 5$ there?
Kind of confused, how could Todd and Daniel raise over the pot value pre-flop around 36:00 ? I thought pot limit meant they couldn't raise over the pot value
I just don't understand why Tony G gave Brunson action. Brunson is a nit in general, just don't give the nit action unless you have a good hand.
Daniels walk hahahahahha
Why would Vanessa raise on that 3 river? it was one of the best cards she could hit there if she puts him on a King
Has anyone ever looked more like they play Magic The Gathering, than Todd Brunson?
I used to play MtG and I can confirm.
Tony G, not the most likeable guy. But getting a monster full house only to lose to a better full house, and then not hitting any huge draws whatsoever, that must hurt. 280k gone just like that
That's why the intelligent thing to do as a full-time professional is to mainly stick to high-stakes limit poker. Save no-limit for special occasions and TV appearances. No-limit is brutal. It doesn't matter how talented you are. If it's not your night, you're going broke.
@15:10 Scott Siever’s $5 tip to the dealer after knocking out Tony G. for $67K. With Daniel’s facial reaction seeing it, you could tell what he was not saying. Scott’s an annoying player to like.
Daniel doesn't tip dealers very high either so I think you're looking too much into it. He probably would have only given $10 at the most.
Good job cannon
At time stamp 32:58 clearly see Todd mark the ace by intentionally damaging the corner...
Attorney Gen. got the Passport!
Tony is really good player
Yes he is
Funny how Tony G ran with his tail between his legs, not saying much today!! 😂
@Owen Jarom maybe but 1 of the likes is from Tong G Willikers😂
1 year ago with 2 likes, think it's fair to say you are practically alone on this on chief
Vanessa and Daniel look like movies stars together
Im pretty sure Scott is the most annoying poker player ever..
Scott seems like a fun guy lol
Yeah kinda but also one of the best
Tony G lost 280K over 38 hands
Does no one see Daniels obvious dislike of Scott seiver? Lol every time Scott talks he rolls his eyes and refuses to answer
Description says Tony G having trouble at the table with Lex.... Lex replaced Tony though. They never played each other.
“Has anyone checked him for batteries” ahahahaahahahahahaahahahaahahahahahahahaaaaa
Even before tony went out he was tilting so hard. It was just painful to watch. He should have removed himself from the table
27:28 is so painful lmfao
6:05 Right here I don't understand how Scott has 4%. What could he possibly hit to win the pot?
Best Clip-Share Shortstoo focused on the pairs lol also wasn't watching this for long
Best Clip-Share Shorts Thanks haha didn't see that 😅
Idk why they even invite Tod to the game, knit a new set of clothes for all of his family, smells like doritos and waits to flat 10's.
The most annoying part of these games is the way they keep saying "in last nights game" ....when it's clearly the same night
Why does Scott always win when his entire stack is on the line? I wanted him to leave so early he's so annoying. I'd take Tony G over him any day
An episode of Battle Bots comes on after this, right?
Makes my heart feel good to see Tony G do the walk of shame, well deserved.
vanessa runs so fucking good in all these games lol
no she doesn't!
Love tony G
4.22 Wow look at that neck pumping away, take it 😂😂
Everybody hating on Scott but I think he’s kinda funny
How do you get picked for the Big Game seat 💺???
How is Todd Brunson such a tool, and his dad is usually the coolest dude at the table...?
his dad doesn't talk a lot too
Why is he a tool? He hardly talks, that doesn’t make him a tool.
Everybody in the comments clowning on Scott, and he's out here proving the too many outs theory in practice on the big stage. Twice against the same player lol
VikerMen expect that hypothesis doesn’t hold up to basic mathematics.
seiver seems like your classic closet case.... Lmao
Tony g says Phil helmuth is bad. Funny shit
Steven Segall is playing some tight poker
🤣🤣 nice 👍
