  • Published on Jun 7, 2018 veröffentlicht
  • Universal Pictures will release Trancas International Films, Blumhouse Productions and Miramax’s Halloween on Friday, October 19, 2018.
Jamie Lee Curtis returns to her iconic role as Laurie Strode, who comes to her final confrontation with Michael Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago.
Master of horror John Carpenter executive produces and serves as creative consultant on this film, joining forces with cinema’s current leading producer of horror, Jason Blum (Get Out, Split, The Purge, Paranormal Activity). Inspired by Carpenter’s classic, filmmakers David Gordon Green and Danny McBride crafted a story that carves a new path from the events in the landmark 1978 film, and Green also directs.
Halloween is also produced by Malek Akkad, whose Trancas International Films has produced the Halloween series since its inception, and Bill Block (Elysium, District 9). In addition to Carpenter and Curtis, Green and McBride will executive produce under their Rough House Pictures banner. Ryan Freimann also serves in that role.
This October, Michael Myers returns. Watch the trailer now.

MaximumMadnessStixon wtf r u talking about? I’m 33 u moron.. I’m probably younger then u! What does age have to do with watching good movies? I wasn’t born in the 30s or 40s but I still know n love classic monster movies..or the 50s,60s, or 70s bud! It’s called being educated n knowing about pop culture, instead of watching re-populated junk over and over..so u Fn settle down buddy..just cuz u don’t know anything doesn’t mean a lot of us don’t

That last scare in the trailers is one of my favourites. We see so many films have a villain sneak up from behind, or not be in the closet, or anything to misdirect. To actually have the villain right there is unexpected.

John Carpenter is a thief, a lier. He stole Halloween. And he act like he wrote the story. What a piece of shit is John Carpenter. Watch the 1971 movie FREIGHT with Susan George, Ian Bannen and Honor Blackman: a crazy murderer escapes a mental institution and kills so many people and than try to kill a babysitter. And even the shrink with the trenchcoat is there to stop the killer. Fright, 1971 is an absolute great thriller and the three stars from the movie deserves oscars. They acted on a high level, so great en brilliant: not a single Hollywood star comes close to their magnificent performance. JOHN CARPENTER STOLE THE STORY FROM THE BRITISH, ADDED SOM NEW THINGS, MADE LITTLE CHANGES AND THAN HE HAS THE GUTS TO ACT LIKE HE WROTE HALLOWEEN AND LIKE HE WROTE AN ORIGINAL STORY. FRIGHT IS TEN TIMES BETTER THAN HALLOWEEN WILL EVER BE!!

I feel like this movie took a lot of inspiration from Terminator 2. Which was a phenomenal idea to take inspiration from. Both Sarah and Laurie were victims in the first movie and in the sequel they trained to the day came their nightmare came back to haunt them. They both will do whatever it takes to protect their family.

1:01 i like how she clears out that Michael isn’t Laurie’s brother. In the original film Michael randomly saw her on the streets and became obsessed which makes the movie scarier

No it's to discredit all films after Halloween 2 in 1981. It's established that's her brother. But it cuts out Halloween 4, Halloween 5, Halloween 6, Halloween h20, Halloween resurrection.. And the zombie films. This is another universe of Michael Myers being opened in a sense

This movie should have been a one off. One last film with Jamie Lee Curtis to finish her character arc by killing Michael. The idea behind this movie was so awesome but it sets up two dumb sequels.

It doesn’t reeeally sets up two sequels. They just made Michael survive so they could make sequels

At 53 years old, ever since the very first Halloween movie, it scared me shitless! I’ll never forget watching this movie for the very first time when it premiered in the theatres, I don’t think I slept for a week! It was rated R, but my older sister who is much older than me snuck me in, I wish to God she never did. Being a typical little kid, thinking nothing could be that scary, I remember watching the movie and crying hysterically in total panic and fear. My poor sister, she got in so much trouble, because the theatre called an ambulance for me, thinking I was having some type of medical episode, as I started to hyperventilate, and my parents threatened to kick her out of the house for it (I was 10, she was 19). I never thought I’d be able to see the rest of the movie, having been carried out on a stretcher halfway through, but the devil is alluring, and there’s just something about it that compels you to want to watch it, so just about 10 years ago, I finally worked up the nerve to watch not just the original, but all of them in the franchise, but I was wrong about one thing, I still wasn’t prepared for it. It still scared the hell out of me! I remember driving home from my friends house where we all watched it together, every little sound I heard I was convinced that Michael was coming for me, I was in my early 40s at that point, how embarrassing is that? The worst thing is, generally, nothing scares me, it takes a lot to scare me, and because I work in trauma healthcare, I’ve seen things you couldn’t imagine in your worst nightmares, but because they’re real people, and it’s not CGI, I can deal with it, because I’m there to help them. But when it’s on the big screen, you know that anything could happen at any time, and no matter how well you prepare yourself, you still jump, you still scream. I guess I’m just a sucker for punishment! And just to be queen bitch of the universe, I made the mistake of telling my evil sister that I finally saw all those movies, so what does she do? She buys a Michael mask, put on a clowns costume, brandishing a butcher knife, and she knocked on my door at 2 o’clock in the morning, and then laughed her ass off as I fell to the floor screaming. I could’ve killed her, as she stood there laughing her head off. But I know what scares her, and I got my revenge, she’s terrified of any movie that deals with demonic entities, so I had a friend of mine, who is a professional make up artist for TV, do the make up to make me look exactly like Reagan from the exorcist, but I didn’t knock on her door at 2 o’clock in the morning, I snuck into her house at 2 o’clock in the morning when she was in bed (I knew where she kept the spare key under the rock in her garden), stood at the doorway of her bedroom, growling in a low voice, the make up we used was glow in the dark, I’ve never heard anyone scream that loud in my life (next to me!lol!) I was on the floor in seconds laughing my ass off, but her? Let’s just say thank God she had a big bottle of Ativan, she needed it! We are a strange little family, but revenge is sweet, and as Khan says in Star Trek, revenge is a dish that is best served cold!😈😈😈😈😈

Ever since Halloween (2018) came out, slasher movies have really been revitalised, and ironically seem to be copying how Halloween (2018) used the same title as it's original, Candyman did it, scream is doing it and now Texas chainsaw massacre is doing it, honestly I think we owe it to Halloween (2018) for bringing the genre back and should respect that film a lot more now.

I loved this movie, and loved Halloween Kills even more the music the storyline, im gutted the last one is next year, but hes done an amazing job on the trilogy, a new director cant make a bunch of Michael movies with a different story it just wouldn't work , roll on next October, I'm a true michael fan and will be generally gutted when the movie will eventually come to a stop next year I think it will be up close and personal and lots will lose their lives, it will be the most intense yet, Laurie or michael or both could end up dead

  • Donald Trump and the Biblical Antichrist

I was a preteen in 1978, and I saw the movie in the theater when kids could go to theaters without their mommies and daddies, when kids were not treated like little babies. The movie became legendary and iconic, and for good reason. When this latest movie came out, I should say, prior to when this latest movie came out, it got a lot of hype, and I wanted to see it in the theater. So a friend of mine, who is just a couple years older than me, went to see this movie in the theater, and we were majorly disappointed. No one in the theater reacted the way they did to the original Halloween, in the theaters. The movie was very poorly done, they showed Michael Myers right in your face, so there was no subtlety, everyone who drinks was portrayed as a moron, as if everyone in America who drinks is an idiot, all of the scenes were predictable, there was nothing scary about the movie, and here were a lot of cliches, which are so boring and not effective anymore,. We left the movie theater thinking it was one of the worst movies we had ever seen, even though it gets more hype and more views on Clip-Share than the original movie, which was a classic and a masterpiece. Pathetic commentary on our society today.

It gave away the whole plot and a few of the jump scares. I can explain the plot if you would like.
Some people are looking into Michael and interview people that knew of the incident in 1978, they then drive to the institution to see him and creepy stuff happens. A little while later his bus crashes, somehow, and he escapes. Jamie Lee has been preparing, even wanting him to escape so she can kill him. He finds his way back home, again somehow he was housed in a facility within walking distance, and starts killing people along the way. Jamie and Michael get caught up in a deadly duel for the entire third act.
They told us all of that.

@Jeremiah C My guy, I understand and appreciate your passion. but this isn't about if the movie was good or bad. i don't like Rob zombies Halloween either. the point was for you to stop gatekeeping. let people like what they want, if you have a different opinion that's cool and all just don't be an asshole about it. Im not trying to have a dick measuring contest on Rob Zombies Halloween. and just cause John Carpenter doesn't like it doesn't mean someone else won't like it. You need to work on your approach to criticism. cause you only make yourself look like a self-righteous snob when you try to prove a point for something so minor.

    • Jeremiah C
      Jeremiah C Year ago

@Roberto Santaella you obviously don't know how the film industry works lol and Rob zombie went to carpenter first and then went to the Weinstein company and told them that he wanted to remake Halloween after getting Carpenter's blessing the Weinsteins just wanted him to make a horror film and he chose Halloween. The Weinsteins didn't care they just wanted to make money since devil's rejects made so much money but in the end he was criticized by the creator of Halloween haha. John Carpenter said in multiple interviews that he hated Rob zombie's Halloween and what he did with Michael Myers and was pissed that Rob zombie lied to him. He even called him a piece of shit ha and no I don't hate Rob zombie. I actually like Rob zombie and most of his films just not his remake of Halloween! And what true horror fan isn't passionate about their favorite films smh ha

    • Roberto Santaella
      Roberto Santaella Year ago

@Jeremiah C Zombie went to Carpenter after the Weinsteins brought zombie to the studio office, I mean if you watched any other interviews besides the ones with Carpenter you would know this. Rob Zombie didn't seek out to do Halloween in the beginning. and rob zombie sure as hell didn't wanna do his version of H2 and cool the fact that you boast about connections to the film industry means just as much as a little kid saying his dad owns Microsoft and is gonna ban your account, and that's a little egocentric, and criticism is normal, but you are not criticizing you are trying to cement that your opinion is fact, but sadly its not. You're way to damn serious about a movie franchise.

    • Jeremiah C
      Jeremiah C Year ago

@Roberto Santaella wrong Rob zombie went to Carpenter to get permission to make the film and I know that for a fact cause I have connections to the film industry and I'm sure that you can find it online if you bothered to look it up first ha. It's very rare that studios reach out to someone it's usually the other way around ha and us true horror fans/horror experts don't sugarcoat shit so sorry not sorry ha. People can have their own opinion and that's fine just be prepared for criticism 🤣

    • Roberto Santaella
      Roberto Santaella Year ago

@Jeremiah C I say let them have their own views. no need to attack anyone that likes a movie. it doesn't make the original better if there is and clearly just because someone doesn't share your views on the subject doesn't make them automatically wrong. Your movie taste is Subjective, not Objective. Back in 1978 a lot of critics and people disliked the original until Rodger Ebert came out and praised the film. and you probably didn't know this but rob zombie didn't even go out of his way to get the property of Halloween. Studios approached him and just cause someone else's style or take on a classic film doesn't match your liking that's cool and all. but if someone likes it let them like it. if you don't like it then cool, That doesn't mean you should outright shit on someone's opinions.
