About Season 2:
In a more intense, more desperate Season 2 of THE BOYS, Butcher, Hughie and the team reel from their losses in Season 1. On the run from the law, they struggle to fight back against the Superheroes. 5 or 6 seasons max. 7 would be pushing it but anything over that is excessive.

It says that he is one of the main protagonists..hence meaning one of the main characters.
Perhaps maybe not the comics but this tv series they are.

Pietro Romeo actually Tyreese was still badass in the show and the reason season 2 was what it was is because the writer or director of season 1 was fired for no reason and they Massively lowered the budget
They should have followed the comics in TWD. The entirety of season 2 was based on literally just one issues of the comic which they dragged along forever and after that they just kept killing off random characters that in the comics were still alive and replacing them with other characters for no apparent reason. Every character that was badass in the comics (Andrea, Tyreese, Jesus) was completely ruined in the show, killed early, and then their original storylines given to someone else. What a mess

This show is so perfect in it’s perfect casting and perfect writing. I literally can’t wait, august and July are gonna feel like the longest months.
Well if you have seen and like The Umbrella Academy and Lucifer. Season 2 of the Umbrella Academy comes out July 31 and Lucifer season 5 and last comes put August 21.

The thing I love most about this show, other than it challenging superhero genre conventions to the max, is how Antony Starr from Banshee (a COMPLETELY underrated show) is finally getting the recognition he deserves, that man is so fvcking talented and SO perfect as Homelander
I love how people aren't cleanly cut through with Homelander's lasers like a lightsaber, instead they viscerally explode in gory fashion. Fantastic.
i think it's a dull kind of laser like a blunt weapon. If it hits you, you won't melt right away but you'll get destroyed due to sheer force.

Man, I am really looking forward to season 2 but I am also kind of dreading it. No other tv show ever managed to gross me out and shock me with violence the way The Boys did, I thought I was immune to gore until I saw this.

Doom Patrol is just as compelling & consistently terrific as The Boys. Its a completely different show though, its about a bunch of damaged & disfigured characters who deal with their trauma while also bonding as a team.
I'm gonna wait on Umbrella Academy. Still mad at Netflix for cancelling the OA.

This show is intense, raw, epic, amusing and intelligent at the same time. Will certainly be tuning in for another season.
@D. Celestio Watchmen (if you're referring to the movie version) was more of an experimental project more than anything. While it was well received, it didn't impact much for future projects such as this. But you could argue that it sorta changed the superhero game by being more about the politics of superheroes rather than the battles.
