Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Encanto” tells the tale of an extraordinary family, the Madrigals, who live hidden in the mountains of Colombia, in a magical house, in a vibrant town, in a wondrous, charmed place called an Encanto. The magic of the Encanto has blessed every child in the family with a unique gift from super strength to the power to heal-every child except one, Mirabel (voice of Stephanie Beatriz). But when she discovers that the magic surrounding the Encanto is in danger, Mirabel decides that she, the only ordinary Madrigal, might just be her exceptional family’s last hope.

I've said it once and I'll say it again: I adore how contrasting each characters melody is, showing their own unique personality in their song, and yet they compliment each other so incredibly well, like a family! I mean just listen to the time for dinner part, it sounds incredible! It makes me think of non-stop from Hamilton where you get to see each character shine and hear their dynamic together. Lin-manuel did such an incredible job on this soundtrack, it's an absolute banger :D

Not even embarrassed that this was my most played song on my 2022 Spotify wrapped

  • @inthemindofny1100

The layered vocals at the end are honestly unmatched. Lin Manuel is a genius

  • @brownie3478

The fact this song is 9 months old and is still the 42nd most popular music video tells you how catchy this is

  • @henryfordice4725

It’s insanely impressive they made 5 intertwining Melodies that overlay perfectly together. Disney’s most impressive song over the last ten years, or definitely a candidate

  • @happytobus6861

I love how Bruno is probably just chilling in the walls vibing to this.

  • @theeveningsoother7039

I don't know why, but Bruno jamming ardently in the background (

  • @KingNothing117

Fun fact, the bit at the end where everyone is singing their own melodies over each other is a style from the Renaissance called a 'Madrigal'

Isabela is the only person Bruno has given a positive prediction. But when you learn the backstory of Isabela's situation, you can see that she is holding on to his words as a beacon of hope. She repeats to herself that this is okay/she's fine with it because she believes she will get the life she wants in the future even though she agrees to marry for her family. If Bruno hadn't said those words, this song would've been pretty depressing....

This has to be one of the best Disney songs ever. There I said it.

One of the best Disney songs in recent memory.

  • @MathandMusicwithAldrich

My favorite part is Dolores', Camilo's, and, most importantly, the last sequence where everyone is singing along. That part is really great because you can hear one certain line from one of the characters really clearly, but when you try to focus on another character's singing, you can hear another different line. That cool effect of combining different audios together but making them cohesive and smooth is why I think this song, along with Surface Pressure, Family Madrigal, and Columbia mi Encanto, is my favorite one.

Encanto might be the only Disney movie I'd love to see as a live musical stage play.

I think my favorite part about this song is it has 360° sound. I know this because i have a pair of earbuds with only the left earbud working, and a headset with obviously both earmuffs working. And when the tunnel segment appears with the boy who shapeshifts (forgot his name), i can only hesr his voice with my left earbud. And on the right side, i would hear the rest of the family. Such a nice touch

  • @blossomxoxo5418

Still hits hard after almost a year

  • @stevieg2536

It's not just the song. It's the visuals. The facial expressions, the dancing, the choreography, the voices. 10/10

    Dolores part always gets me.
