Also, a counter to Jaiden’s spice argument: the spice rack in our house hangs on the pantry door, so there’s no front or back. Instead, we have the A’s at the top going down to the Z’s or whatever the last spice is at the bottom. My mom has accidentally put chili powder in her coffee instead of cinnamon.

As someone who was actually on a game show, it was the most fun time I ever had, but I did screw up a bit - idk I think the cameras just magically make people dumber. But I still won some money and get to flex about it

Due to how Clip-Share spliced it up, I thought The Pentagon and The Million Dollar Question were game shows of their own. And those names are so evocative, that honestly I want to just invent both of those shows now.
This reminds me of the episode of its always sunny in Philadelphia where Charlie was one of the people who answered the survey and kept guessing the lowest answer lol.

Contextually Steve Harvey could infer the intent of the answer, but "vision" isn't actually correct there. Eyesight and vision aren't synonyms or interchangeable, they actually mean very different things and vision isn't an applicable answer for that question. Also the Family Feud games do give a lot of leeway for answers, they'll take iterations and synonyms just fine, they just don't do inference because that's subjective.
@Kaleidos Context is key, but I'm pretty sure this exact type of scenario happened in the show before, and they gave them the point.
The live show in general seems to feed off of context, and inference, which is a difficult thing to program.
You can do it to some degree, but it won't be the same as an actual person's logic and reason.

Eye Sight and Vision are the same word in my Language, so i cant even understand this to be honest
On the most you can make a little difference because one is "Visão" and other is "Vista", but unless you apply in a Medical context, there no real difference between them
I just want to say that I bought some clothes from Jaiden’s line a few years ago and they still are just as vibrant and comfortable as when I first got them. They literally haven’t worn off or lost their colour at all and they haven’t gotten any less comfy either. They get lots of compliments too because of how unique the designs are. If you’re on the fence about buying them they’re absolutely worth the money.

Watching streamers/content creators attempt trivia is always a nice confidence boost lol. There were like 12 hosts of Family Feud before Steve Harvey... Like Al from Home Improvement and Richard Dawson. Lawnmower is definitely not a wrong answer.
Although lawn mowers use gasoline, you can’t ride a lawnmower to school or work.. It’s a tool, not a vehicle. It’s kinda like if you asked me a mode of transportation I could say bike, but I’d never ride one down the highway. Jaiden strikes me as someone who is particular about word usage.

I remember watching Are you Smarter than a 5th grader on TV and it was not as easy as that game. They would ask you the most batshit specific things that only a person learning them that second and maybe into 6th grade would remember like "what year did Monteczuma fall down the Golden staircase to Mt. Mount Vesuvius". They knew what they were doing.
The game they slected things that are obscure but might still be resting in the back of your head so you feel smart.

That was the same thing with the copy cat game show in the UK “are you smarter than a 10 year old?” Even at 10 years old with several questions I was like “I have never heard of this in my entire life”

It's a PS2 game that looks like Moana's great uncle going around impaling people on the own spears...the older version of hoisting someone on their own petard.

You should play more nuzlocke challenges and animate them! It's my favorite series of yours so far. Mostly because it's clear you really enjoy the games, so the more serotonin it gives you, the better! My suggestion would be XY or BW/B2W2

On the actual Family Feud show, they are VERY generous with whether or not what you said counts as an answer (in the infamous "naked grandma" incident, they gave the guesser the answer of "occupant"), so "vision" would absolutely have been accepted as "eyesight". Wouldn't have saved you from the ending part with "bus", but still. Same thing with saying "distilling" instead of "distillation".
They would have 100% won on are you smarter then fith grader they don’t need you to spell the answer and the term is basically the same

That's ultimately the problem with video game versions of many game shows. In real life, the judges will likely accept it if it isn't a matter of needing to be more specific.
On a video game version, you can't botch the spelling, and you've got to be exact.

The Hamilton thing happened to me on the board game. It asked for a character from Alice in Wonderland and the answers had the scarecrow... The Scarecrow from Wizard of Oz! I just lost it. They surveyed stupid people.
Having participated in local quiz competitions, it's actually criminal how many times a "technically correct" answer is rejected.
And I can imagine higher levels of competition are even more petty than that honestly.
Mean if your Correct, your correct. Quiz shows do that to be that kind of thing sadly.

@Roger Jimenez Back in high school I took part in some quiz competitions and at least in those it was very rare they let things like "distilling" over "distillation" pass. It was kinda insane.
@Kim Parkkinen The only explination has to be like they wanna teach you the "right" way or answer, even if a question can be answered like in multiple ways.
Software based ones give the wrong answer as they often limited in what form it can recognize the answer, but the actual shows. Family feud rutionly will says "vision and eye sight " are the same thing so correct answer. and are you smart, Might or might not accept Distilling for Distillation as the former is the act, but the later is the process name, and they were looking for the later

The family fued thing where you gave a CORRECT answer but because others didn't think of it you don't advance is why i prefer the UK gameshow called pointless. Same survey rules but the more people guess it the wrorse it is for you and each "pointless answer"(a correct answer that none of the hundred people got) increases the cash prize.

My mom actually organizes her spices alphabetically. She has these really fancy spice racks and all the bottles are the same with uniform labels. It’s honestly nice when you’re cooking ngl.
