Just curious how you got those stats because from my memory this Is the year bobcats made the playoffs based on their defence alone

I hate modern sports media and social media as a whole. Everything is about cutting people down instead if celebrating good play and enjoying the game. It's a real problem that extends beyond sports in regards to negativity. Something has to change, society is so judgmental rather than appreciative about almost everything. We are overstimulated.

The ring argument I agree with. Life long fan, but little tweaks to the game sorta made the game worse. Not as physical, but today's athletes are in so much better shape than yester years. Science and knowledge progress the games forward.

Rudy Gobert was a good pickup for the Timberwolves. One of the Timberwolves' weaknesses was on defense. He may be having a down year statistically and frustrating to watch at times, but he has still been a top 5-10 defender this year and has stepped up with Karl Towns out. That being said, I still want the team to get this man some serious hands training in the offseason. Get him a WR coach who can teach him to go strong to the ball with his hands, so he doesn't drop so many passes and give up easy buckets.

Fuckin jimmy. Every video you make is your best video. Not that every video you make is better than the last, just that every video is so great that you have maxed out the bar every time. I was actually thinking about this earlier, you belong in a top spot on something like espn, but without changing anything. In that I mean they just use the videos you already made, with absolutely no schedule for future episodes, they get them when they get them. That’s what’s special about your channel, you’re not rushing to put out a new vid to meet some pre set schedule, or to cover a news topic that has already been covered on hundreds or thousands of other channels. You’re thorough and unbiased and just straight up honest. I never feel cheated on your titles, and at the end of every video I’m like “fuckin jimmy, nailed it again”. Much like in basketball where we only get players like Bron or Kobe or Jordan rarely, you are truly one of the rare greats at what you do, and you’re irreplaceable. Keep at it man. Thx.

Most of these players don’t even play with high minutes anymore some of them aren’t even in the league. It was just not possible to reach the finals with a squad like that. That people all around the world want to contribute to their style of play, which makes him, his accomplishments and contributions to the game we watch and love today give him the opportunity to not just be a top 5 player of all time in a few years, but also have a chance to be the GOAT. Ok now here is a good one. jimmy butler is more of a leader than kd. Not a better player, but closer to being a leader than durant. Butler managed to take his team to the finals and be consistent and competitive, inspiring his teammates with his performance, passion and fighting spirit. As Giannis fan it was hard to watch. Kd may have 2 rings and fmvps but with the best f team ever (regular season record, different season, same players), jimmy make it to the finals with a good but far from super team. As a player i'll take KD any time any day.

Stats padding is not about taking one last rebound at the end of a game just to make it 10 so you can have a tp when there is nothing else to do, game is over your team already have won and this tp is one of the reasons. So no, not stats pad. Stats padding to me is a ful play attitude. When you come in the game and only care to get a tp regardless your team winning or loosing. Which more times ends to L.

You gotta remember that the east Bron played in for the majority of his career was pretty weak, there’s a reason he’s lost in the finals as much as he has against actual good comp. Take his 2007 playoff run for example where his opponents in the east were the .500 nets, .500 wizards and the pistons with no Wallace

@gxn And Lebron didn't play on a bad franchise as well? Apparently a rookie Lebron should've 100% told the Front Office to handcuff Carlos Boozer to his $700,000 contract instead of letting his franchise get played for chumps. Every team in the East didn't know how to draft and develop until recently. The same thing is happening with Luka right now where his franchise is throwing picks at players.

The comparisons of the year after Giannis went 2 in a row and this year after Jokic has gone 2 in a row can't be compared. When the Bucks got knocked out in the first round, it was shocking and Giannis had no excuses, the team's core was healthy. No one expected anything for the Nuggets in the last 2 post seasons.

    • Cynostic
      Cynostic 2 months ago +32

exactly. If anything the reason why LeBron was scrutinized in his Miami days is because he performed poorly in the playoffs. Jokic performs exceptionally in the playoffs, always better than expected, and he definitely carries his team to the greatest extent. No team can win a championship with only 1 guy doing all the work.

Better hope Jokic makes it out of the 2nd round at least

    • Sullir
      Sullir 2 months ago +2

Absolutely Jokic's performance will matter this year, my point. That his post season lack of success the late 2 doesn't matter for the vote this year is the point. In 2021, he got MVP because there was no one else to give it to. Late year he got it partly because some of hopefuls weren't eligible again and partly because it was damn impressive how he willed the Nuggets into the playoffs damn near by himself, the whole value to the team argument. This year, he's a frontrunner became he's put together a proper candidacy with stats, team ranking and the whole shibang. Now is the time to perform; however, if you look at Giannis's current legacy, if the joker wins MVP this year and doesn't perform this year, it won't be the end of the world. Giannis came back and won the whole thing the following year after he made people feel foolish for voting MVP for him because he got kicked in the first round.

When it comes to box office jaw dropping play I would sy either Kyre or ja is this era's MJ..MJ in the 80's was just the most exciting player to watch even though he probably wasn;t the best in the NBA..at that time Magic, and Larry were considered the best in the early to mid 80's

Luka should be front runner for MVP this season but I think that the Kyrie trade totally compromised that. Luka was carrying his team harder than anybody I’ve ever seen earlier this year. I understand why Jokic is very impressive, but Luka is better in my opinion. That’s gonna make some people mad I guess lol

    • OHiWONder Gaming
OHiWONder Gaming 2 months ago +20

I've never heard anyone say that ring didn't count. I've heard about the 2020 championship though. I do believe Draymond's suspension changed the momentum, but it doesn't disqualify that championship.

    • Daniel
      Daniel 2 months ago +18

@OHiWONder Gaming yeah, hitting someone in the nuts and getting bounced, isn't much different than missing a game winner that swings the momentum the other way. It's an action they took and it affected the series. Thats what series are, a bunch of actions. It's not like he got sick and had to miss a game.

That ring doesn’t count because Lebron’s “block” was actually basket interference. You can see his left hand grab/hit the rim. Also Draymond out and Bogut out after injury is the only reason he went on that run too. Draymond and Bogut play, warriors easy finish.

My hot take is that Dominique Wilkins was just as great as Jordan in the 80’s and early 90’s. They played almost the same game above the rim with nice lays and contorting dunks and a smooth turn around middy. If he’d been in a different market he’d be 10 ten.
