Persson comes off as a novice player when his mind game and random crazy moves (calculated random) makes him look like he doesn't understand the percentages - the dude is very smart . Eric basically showed the world Phil's tell. He had Phil on tilt from hand one and out played Phil right until the last marvelous hand. I have watched a lot of poker over the years, but few matches or plays come close to this pure poker entertainment.
Well he wasn't really outplaying him.
Phil got pretty unlucky with some hands and at some point he had to move all in before his stack gets eaten up by the blinds. To run into pocket aces at that point is only fitting.
Oh man I swear if I sat across from Phil heads up I’d be doing the same thing, laughing all the way, win or lose.

This was a great watch. Phil has deserved this kinda match up for years. He is the Godfather of Obnoxious when sat at the poker table.
phil is like the rich kid who always gets what he wants and when he hears "no" he throws a tantrum. At the same time persson was def crossing the line a bit.
I'm sure that there are a lot of people who watch this and loved it. Phil's been doing this for years and now he's getting it all back. Beautiful!

In poker it is how you do in the long run that determines your skill level. Due to the luck factor in poker, it is possible for amateur players to occasionally beat professional players in single games. But again, it is the long run that matters. Whether you like or hate Phil Hellmuth, you can not deny he is one of the best players with all he has accomplished in the long run with how much money and championship tournaments he has won.
How did Phil get to where he is with such sensitivity
I watched every second of this video and after wanting people to give back Hellmuth some of his own medicine, it was the best thing I watched all week.
