was and still tough but my love for same gene of music helps me. play better as well going to shows gets me socially out as well Although also people have treated me badly, but music helps me with mental and physical pain that I go through in my hip's music heals in wonderful ways. Your contribution to electronic music will make your mother proud sir.

YES!!! I love my MInilogue and MinilogueXD, but the knobs position indicators are next to useless. I used a silver sharpie pen on those black knob indicator lines and it helped a little but would really like to replace them all.

Getting some of those Moog knobs for my DFAM. Will make it much better to use. Begs the question though, who oh why don't Moog just stick some decent knobs on the things in the first place?! It might bump the price a little. But they're not usually cheap to start with.

So sorry for your loss, my deepest condolences.

My experience may be biased in some way, but in general, I find that the smaller the diameter of a pot, the worse the wipers are. "Full-sized" pots (24mm diameter) can have nice rounded wipers that don't scrape the resistive strip, while 16mm and smaller tend to have wipers that resemble "cow-catchers" on old trains. These provide more friction, and I suspect shorten the lifespan of pots; particularly since their construction does not permit cleaning with whatever contact cleaner is your preference. Bear in mind that some of the grime that gets in their, comes from outside the pot, but a lot of it is actually generated inside the pot, via that constant scraping.
So here's the question: Does having "better" knobs that encourage more regular and active rotation of such small PCB-mounted pots shorten their lifespan even more? Will these units still be usable 10 years from now, or will we have to replace the pots?

Question for Mr Nevo - why does every Waves plugin come in three versions (mono, stereo, mono to stereo) while other plugin manufacturers handle this inside one plugin?
I only use a few Waves plugins (10-12) but my folder in S1 looks like I have way more than that.

Just wanted to swing by and mention that almost all the sounds the Slow Mo guys use are fake. The cameras do not record audio at those kinds of (1m frames per second, for example) speeds. Feel free to search for the nice long video Gav did on the (second?) Slo Mo channel about their audio.

Worst knobs ever award (IMO) goes to the Korg Prophecy. I replaced them as soon as it arrived back in the 90s.
