So sorry for all that you have been going through. Lots of people care about you as a person, not just what you give to everyone. Hoping for all the best for you all.
Wishing you and the family nothing but the best! ❤

My condolences Nick, its very hard to lose our most beloved ones. Strenght to move forward. ❤️ And thanks to once again give an awesome show even in this situation.
So sorry to hear of the passing of your Mum, Nick. You kept it together splendidly. All the very best.
My condolences. I went through the same - as everyone does or will do at some point in life - and it does hurt. Still thinking of my mum every day and it's some years ago... Best wishes to you and your family!
Excellent guests in todays show.
Absolutely beautiful conversation- one of my favourites ever.
Condolences to Nick and his family.
But also good work by Dom and the team for stepping up in a pinch.
Great line-up, most enjoyable show indeed.
Strength to you and your family Nick.
Condolences to you Nick, so sad to hear, we all know or will at a certain moment know how dark times can be
Hey everyone, great show and awesome guests! I loved your thoughts, Nick, at 1:04:36. That was awesome!

your love for electronic music Nick will get you through it your knowledge and good review with musical interludes with all syths all proud of you. losing my mother few years earlier
was and still tough but my love for same gene of music helps me. play better as well going to shows gets me socially out as well Although also people have treated me badly, but music helps me with mental and physical pain that I go through in my hip's music heals in wonderful ways. Your contribution to electronic music will make your mother proud sir.
Condolences Nick. Hoping you have a warm and safe holiday.
YES!!! I love my MInilogue and MinilogueXD, but the knobs position indicators are next to useless. I used a silver sharpie pen on those black knob indicator lines and it helped a little but would really like to replace them all.
Wishing you well at this difficult time❤
Good show. Keep on keeping on.
all the love to mr Batt and family
good show. Love for Hainbach The Hipster 01:11:11 !
I never thought a conversation about filing could be so interesting ;)
Getting some of those Moog knobs for my DFAM. Will make it much better to use. Begs the question though, who oh why don't Moog just stick some decent knobs on the things in the first place?! It might bump the price a little. But they're not usually cheap to start with.
Condolences to you & your family Nick.
File management potion sent me as I’m a female version of Hans in that regard…,,,laughed until I cried
So sorry for your loss, my deepest condolences.
My experience may be biased in some way, but in general, I find that the smaller the diameter of a pot, the worse the wipers are. "Full-sized" pots (24mm diameter) can have nice rounded wipers that don't scrape the resistive strip, while 16mm and smaller tend to have wipers that resemble "cow-catchers" on old trains. These provide more friction, and I suspect shorten the lifespan of pots; particularly since their construction does not permit cleaning with whatever contact cleaner is your preference. Bear in mind that some of the grime that gets in their, comes from outside the pot, but a lot of it is actually generated inside the pot, via that constant scraping.
So here's the question: Does having "better" knobs that encourage more regular and active rotation of such small PCB-mounted pots shorten their lifespan even more? Will these units still be usable 10 years from now, or will we have to replace the pots?
Yoad is the GOAT geek 👍🤙
Buff Yoad. Could be an end of level boss on GTA
I pimped my Deepmind with grey rubber slider caps. 😎
Condolences Mr Batt!
Question for Mr Nevo - why does every Waves plugin come in three versions (mono, stereo, mono to stereo) while other plugin manufacturers handle this inside one plugin?
I only use a few Waves plugins (10-12) but my folder in S1 looks like I have way more than that.
@ charetj sure, I meant compared to that other Waves noise supressor. Ns1 or something.
Clarity IS a noise suppression plugin
@ charetj Thank you. What I meant was - other plugins also do this mono to mono, stereo to stereo and mono to stereo processes but still get installed as one plugin, not three. Am I wrong?
Btw, it's not the end of the world, just not ideal (imho) from plugin management point. Will still get Clarity Vx and Harmony sometime soon. Btw, does in your opinion Clarity replace Noise suppressor plugin?
Plugins such as compressor, Eq, DeEsser - are mono when inserted on a mono track, and stereo when inserted on a stereo track. Plugins like reverb, chorus, flanger can receive a mono signal and expand it to stereo by applying de-correlated process for the left and right channels, and have a mono-to-stereo option when inserted on mono tracks. The S1 has 3 components: S1 MS Matrix encodes and decodes M/S signal, S1 imager adjusts the rotation and width of a stereo signal as well as M/S enc./dec. and S1 Shuffler spreads a stereo signal by frequency as well as rotation and width of a stereo signal and M/S enc./dec
Sorry to hear about your mum 😢… I have just lost mine ❤
H Delay is still my fav delay plug...
Just wanted to swing by and mention that almost all the sounds the Slow Mo guys use are fake. The cameras do not record audio at those kinds of (1m frames per second, for example) speeds. Feel free to search for the nice long video Gav did on the (second?) Slo Mo channel about their audio.
i Loved this sound
Worst knobs ever award (IMO) goes to the Korg Prophecy. I replaced them as soon as it arrived back in the 90s.
So sorry for your loss Nick.
Anti-Fat camera lenses....we can all use those! :)
Also naming something "New - xxx" Well, in a very short time, it won't be "new" anymore....
I missed it, what is the name of this back up filing software?
@sonicstate thank, you, the conversation about filing was very interesting; I am a disaster and the way my studio is setup with multiple machines sharing files : 2x MPC Live, AKai Force, Ableton Live makes it even more complicated. After watching the show I made a New Year’s resolution: implement a proper filing and back up system
I think a combination of Dropbox and Blackblaise
