@ln+3rna1hàbän3r0s no? The 3D printer takes your design you manually created and sliced on a computer. Then you have to optimize it to print the max number of pieces possible on the printer, and reduce the amount of plastic used by adjusting the infill. Then you have to watch the 3D printer as it prints to make sure it doesn't fail, make sure it has enough filament, and check the print quality.
3D printers are not easy, there is lots of setup, lots of testing for different types of filament, and adjusting for different shapes.
He also did say in the video that the hardest part was painting and slowly attaching it together piece by piece, not designing and printing it.

@Mister Miles if you went to a singer's or an orchestra's concert and they just sat there and played you a recording, would you call that fun?
If you printed a photo of a picasso, would it be worth it to hang in a museum?
A digital artist who draws and illustrates with a pen makes legitimate art. A person who puts a photograph through filters does not. When you have a SCULPTURE, the value is the work of the SCULPTOR. As in SCULPT.
Sculptors in the Renaissance take YEARS to make a sculpture. How long did this guy take? A few days? Most of the weeks spent was done by a 3d printer.

    • inflation
      inflation 2 months ago

@Mister Miles yous a whole fkin clown, trying to compare art work to musicians. 🤣🤣 go to a wood carpenter channel and ask if a person printing out objects over night on a 3d printer is a artist. Lol 😆 this clown said he mixed paint and screwed it together. 🤦🏾‍♂️. 3d printers was invented for stupid people like you could create things Easley because a computer does it for you. THE EXACT PURPOSE 💯 also a person that plays an instrument is a musician, not an artist, unless theY CREATE the musical peice THEMSELVES. 🤡
Im about to go download a clown head on a 3d printer and paint it, then send it to your ass. Guess im an artist too 🤪

    • Mister Miles
      Mister Miles 2 months ago

@inflation He designed it, trimmed each piece, mixed and applied the paint, and assembled it, but it's completely illegitimate as art because he didn't physically create the plastic shape himself?
What about all the art that is created digitally and then printed? Is that invalid because it was a machine that put the actual ink to the page? If someone makes music, is it invalid as art because it's the guitar or flute or keyboard that's making all those noises, and all they do is play the noises in an appealing order?

    • ddakkottaa
      ddakkottaa 2 months ago

@inflation so using ur logic digital art isn’t art either ? what era did u come from ?

    • inflation
      inflation 2 months ago +1

@Arvid Pingel you fkin clown. You create the image you draw by Hand, same goes for a painter. Why you think prints dont go for nearly as much as an actual hand painting does? 3d printer do the job FOR YOU. 🤡🤪🤡🤡

Maybe dial in your retraction settings? There shouldn't be any need to manually hide a seam if you ran a few calibration prints. Also, the new version of Cura has adaptive infill so you don't have to print infill on all layers. Also, if you're using a 0.4 nozzle for this, that is also a faux pas, lol..
