  • does dva fail to "shoot down" projectiles if they don't touch one of the 4 "panels" that the animation shows?

    also looking at what attacks it does and does not deny.

    Good to know that it blocks almost everything in that cone, so you can basically stand around a corner and catch incoming enemy projectiles that are flying past that corner!

    I heard somewhere that D.Va gets ult charge from absorbing damage with her defence matrix. Is this true?

    Hi. I haven't tested this, but I suspect that the D.Va Defense Matrix works like Genji's reflect. I suspect that the code just identifies things as projectiles and handles them the same unless there are specific exclusions. There are a few notable things that you can reflect that are not included in this video. (See the linked Genji video for reference.)
