The deeper voice on Peter and his violent tantrums show how much influence the symbiote really has on his mind, even Miles noticed it 😭

I really hope they have a better explanation for it beyond “living liquid personality enshittener.” I don’t think the Venom movies are particularly well-made, but the symbiote having its own personality and voice allowing it to actually engage with other characters independent of its host was great

A detail that I love is that when Peter saved the person at minute 9:54 Miles stared at him (like Dude, what happened?) because normally Spider-Man would have asked the civilian if he was okay or if he was hurt but he didn't say anything, even the way he saves it is like he's thrown on the ground
I have noticed that too, the symbiote is a beast and i absolutely love that they are taking advantage of how the PS5 system is powerful, I am so ready to play this game.

Just a few things I noticed. The HUDs for Miles and Peter are different, with Peter having a rather clinical and bland one while Miles has a bit of a retro-y vibe. Second, it seems both Miles and Peter have Focus bars instead of Venom for Miles, and they both have rechargeable abilities. Speaking of those abilities, they seem to emulate the actions of the main button, like in Miles Morales with the Venom abilities. For example, L1 + Square for Peter is like a massively overpowered symbiotic punch, like the regular punch with square.

Miles having a straight up hadooken is wild. Also loving the comic accurate portrayal of pretty much everybody. From peters symbiote suit to lizard being very crocodile like and MASSIVE.

Did you know that the personality altering properties of the symbiote suit didn't actually originate in the comics. But the 1994 Spider-Man the Animated Series? Originally in the comics. The Sybiote suit mostly just took pete out for "Joy rides" while he's asleep, leaving him exhausted in the morning. But it was the animated series that created the concept of the Symbiote Suit drastically enhancing Peter's negative personality traits and temper.

One tiny detail that I absolutely love is that when Miles saves the fisherman from getting shot, you can see that he had a fish on the line because it gets pulled out of the water when Miles webs the guy to the wall. Such a tiny detail they didn't need to add but did anyway. You can tell how much passion is in this game and I'm so excited to play it.
The deep voice, the mood and the brutality in the fight, THIS IS LITERALLY PERFECT

Yuri is going to do such an incredible performance as Symbiote Spider-Man, you can feel just how uncharacteristically bloodthirsty, angry, unhinged, aggressive, and violent Spidey is under the symbiote’s influence.

@Shantae Half-Genie hero yeah i always get confused about that when i think about it, cuz it souds like what you said and that sounds much better but the subtitles say "I'll give him what he'll never forget!" so it's just kinda weird.
I also like the line peter saids after that "He's gonna wish he never came to New York!"

Can we just take a second to acknowledge how Peter just straight up did a total bicycle kick on that goon's groin on 1:32? I know that the symbiote makes him more aggressive, but man that was just straight up savage. Let's pour 1 out for that guy's lost pair to the destructive badass force that is symbiote Spider-Man's super strength kicks.

This is genius since miles had powers in the “second game” this makes Peter gameplay wise a setback if they just had the old mechanics but by introducing symbiosis to this it creates a new experience to Spider-Man and switching to miles creates an even newer experience as a whole they can do so much with this and I’m here for it!!!
Yeah they had to set miles apart from peter or the fan base would be like "so this is just a black tokenized spiderman for woke points" which unfortunately leaves peter feeling like the downgrade even though hes supposed to be THE Spider-Man. So the symbiote is the only option to even the two and it worked, i REALLY want to play as black suit peter now. Especially with how aggressive he gets in it.

@The Doom SlayerPeter is actually superior to Miles in every physical attribute, like strength, speed, durability, agility and also has a more powerful spider-sense, they had to give Miles two extra abilities to make it up for that, otherwise he would just be a nerfed Peter. But I'm glad Peter will have the mechanical arms and symbiote to differentiate himself from Miles, since Miles has bioelectricity and camuflage.
I think in the 3rd game they should give Peter something else tho since the symbiote wouldn’t be in the 3rd one
Another thing I noticed about Pete’s mood is that in his basic attack combo, instead of doing a kick second he goes in for a more deadly left hook and then a more powerful kick, showing he cares less about enemies’ damage

this looks incredible. amazing attention to detail and experience. never care to watch full gameplay reveals but I couldn't stop watching this
I feel like with Miles being kind of confused at peter's attitude, the devs might do one of those spins where the two protagonists have to fight due to one of them being out of control, maybe this is how venom is implemented, or maybe Peter gets the symbiote from venom after defeating him, can't be too sure at the moment. But I definitely feel like at some point in the game they might make miles have to fight a symbiote suit spider-man
Venom is already spidermanish character so it would be like 2 same boss fight

@Şamil KaraburçVenom would be interesting though because in every Spider-Man comic/movie, Venom is considered part of Peter after bonding with him so Peter's Spider-Sense doesn't work against Venom. They could make a fun boss fight because in every other fight, you rely a lot on Spider-Sense to dodge enemies but you can't do that against Venom.

I loved the way he throws the civilian he just saved to the ground, without caring about him. It just shows how Peter has changed thanks to the symbiot

Symbiote Spider-Man's combat is very brutal! I like that a lot! It really fits well with how the symbiote had affected Spider-Man in other stories. It makes me VERY excited to play this someday!

I love that Ganke is driving a drone with Peter and Miles into action, it makes him even more enjoyable as a character (which I already did)

This game is gonna be so awesome when the title comes out for Playstation 5. I mean, PS4 Spider-Man was great, and Miles Morales PS5 was amazing, but this game? Hoooooowee, it is gonna be too intensly awesome and I love it when games are taken to that epic level. Thank you Insomniac for continuing to make video game masterpieces.

Ganke yelling as the Spider-Men threw his drone at the gunship is so hilarious. He was trying to the give the drone his personality to make the move more meaningful and stylish. 👍🏼
Love the little detail how blacksuit saves the citizen but also tosses him down bc it's taking up his time. Normal spidey checks in with his citizens usually.
This. I love this. Specifically, the feature that'll let us switch between Miles and Parker.
The anger in Peters voice, the blue electricity for Miles, the web wings, the symbiote, queens... This is so cool more than cool.
The yellow electricity always made more sense to me. That's what he originally had in the comics. What's the point of changing it? If there's a reason then fine.

I hope we get a Last Ronin game on a level like this one day. I been out of the gaming scene a couple of generations now (last owning Xbox 360, Wii and PS2) just pre-ordered this game and picking up PS5 in the fall. Be nice to play some games again outside of my retro stuff.
I can imagine maybe Ganke's mom or a friend walking into the house/apartment and just hear Ganke screaming from his room with absolute passion and motivation like he's charging into the most epic final battle of the century

@Mordorthank you it’s like everyone is completely oblivious to this. Like it’s clearly just a bunch of new gimmicks but no actual improvement of any animations or mechanics. Lot of games doing this lately and it’s really disappointing

Tried and tested formula of Batman Arkham series combat with a great open city. Spider-man is definitely my favourite superhero of all times and these games really do him justice.
I can already see the final fight being Miles versus Venom and I'm okay with that.

I pray you can actually stand up straight on the sides of buildings and run in any directions including downwards. just like if he was on the ground. Also adding the ability to super-jump off the wall-run in any direction will add a lot of variety to the parkour

You won't need to. Sony has been bringing all their big titles to PC. They run very well! Being able to change graphics settings means you can turn off motion blur for better image quality, as long as you're hitting 40 FPS or more. Turning off motion blur while getting less than 40 fps is not recommended though, as the game will look janky.

I think not a lot of people noticed in 9:52 when Peter saves the pedestrian and then just throw him on the ground, a subtle detail to show how the symbiote is affecting his empathy

I love how aggressive and mad Symbiote Spidey fights. It's as if Peter ain't pulling punches anymore and it feels heavier than the usual Pete and Miles' attacks.
