The dual sense is an amazing comtroller. The only stumble imo is the integrated mic. It really isn't practical id you actually want to talk to people during a match. It honestly ends up more annoying than anything as It is on by default and I often forget to mute it. So everyone can hear me listening to podcasts or yelling at the screen until I notice.
it sounds surprisingly good though most people assume its a headset when i talk through it. but when i have headphones in it auto overrides the controller mic so its rare i ever use it.
Hahah that last one is me to, sometimes i just randomly play cod multiplayer alone and yell how stupid and fake the game is untill someone yells back at me or start laughing
I finally got my ps5 this week. I'm very happy with it. The biggest difference I see being a cod, mw2 player is the controller is amazing. I'm sure it will be a while before they stop making ps4 copies of games and do only the next gen consoles but for now if you aren't hyped about the controller you can stick with the ps4. I'm a moderate gamer, I came home from prison, stayed sober, got myself a ps4 about 5 months later I got the ps5. Both are amazing systems. I still play alot of games on the 4 since I'm 33 and literally never touched a game system in my life so I find alot of cheap titles on the ps4 that I am still enjoying. The catalog of games you can find for under $10 is what makes the 4 a very viable option still. As for the 5 I brought the disc version hoping to see cheaper copies of games in the future. I feel the digital version is cheaper up front but in the long run buying cheap 2nd hand disc's is going to save you some money. Anyways whichever system you have, enjoy it 😊 happy gaming.
Okay the "No Spoiler" feature for watching friends game clips is pretty amazing! As a Xbox Series X owner I gotta give props to Sony for making that feature, that is impressive and progressive.My roomie has a PS5, I am going to try this tomorrow and see if it lets me spoil one of my roommates games or not hahaha
I'm considering getting a PS5 at some point. I have the Nintendo Switch OLED and one nifty feature is that if you have a lot of games in your library that are digital but either don't have enough space or want to play something that you've bought but lack memory space for it to fully download there's where the Archive mode function comes in press the +/Start button over the active game you want to take a break from and choose manage software and choose Archive Software. by doing that you render the game dormant to allow another game to be downloaded and the newly archived game stays in your library of games without taking up memory space. if the PS5 has something similar then I'll abuse it due to most likely going all digital for my library of games.
Thats because on the nintendo the only way to download games that are not installed (if not archived) is via the store and then going into your account from there. Playstation and Xbox have a folder where you can see all your games regardless if they are installed or not. It would be pointless for those consoles. Nintendos way is impractical.
@Toby Hargreavescan move PS5 games to external SSD. The transfer still takes a few minutes amd unless it's M.2 which allows the PS5 to read and play direct from alternate External/Internal Drive. Some might say the transfer back to PS5 console is technically downloading it. But usually going to be faster than download the content via interwebs, 5G hotspot or Ultra broadband Ethernet interwebs can get it done pretty quick tho. Sooo yeah depends on tech and stability for optimized transfer rate

Bellava-Snow I personally use a Wi-Fi connection on both my Series S (that I ended up getting instead due to it being the only one between itself and the PS5 available at the time and not wanting to leave a shopping trip empty handed) and my Nintendo Switch OLED. I still intend on getting a PS5 at some point but it's a year long goal if not longer right now. and lastly take this into consideration if you have the time money and effort for it, it would be criminally stupid to not buy every new console that crops up at least once and play with them in a single lifetime in my personal opinion and it's that thought that has had me play every home console that has come since the Nintendo 64.

Really hoping the rumors of the new Sony PlayStation handheld are true even more so that it's the Playstation phone that I personally have been speculating and spreading rumors about myself on the Internet lol honestly think the last handheld you guys did the battery life was so amazing that I honestly wouldn't change anything on it with the exception of adding the left and right trigger wish people known as L2 and R2 and making the analog sticks clickable where you can push the analog sticks in as a button press for games like Call of Duty that require this to Sprint forward during gameplay which is very useful but honestly those are the only things that I didn't notice that should be added to it other than that perfect 10/10 even without it perfect 10/10 I still think it's the best handheld that's ever been made and fax you could voice chat on the system itself remember while playing Killzone I was talking with all the players on their over Wi-Fi which is hilarious some of them were making fun of me but it's cool I'm not really that good at that game LOL I still had fun though that's the most important thing you guys are an amazing company when it comes to game development and Hardware development best computers in the world I think best sound equipment as well the best headphones in the world come from you guys as well
A handheld wouldnt give them profit i feel because they’d have to make exclusive games for it. I would love that too but i dont think it will ever happen. Experimenting is dead today in this industry
Had a ps5 for about 3 years and this is the best tips video i ever saw. I knew some of this of course, but surprisingly i never heard of maybe half of this and i switched my settings because it’s so useful. I loved this video you did so great.
Also Remote Play isn't just restricted to your local network, as long as the remote play device knows your ps5/ps4 you can log in via the web. Just remember about data usage and latency.

It should be noted that for the time played on the stats page, it's also recording time you may have the game running in the background or while it's suspended. So it's not exactly accurate...I usually have WAY more time played in something than the actual amount of time I put into it. Like recently it says I played Far Cry 6 for about 126 hours...it was probably half of that, but there was a lot of me pausing the game, it idling or even being suspended in rest mode and that ticker keeps going up.
@danbooke2001 The only issue id have doing that was on ps4 where the game would crash after a while of playing due to it being left open and on rest mode. Been doing it on the ps5 recently and ive had no problems with any games crashing.
Actually, quite a few awesome tips here. My favourite was finding out I can press triangle in the menu to go to settings icon. Scrolling all the way up was a nightmare until I watched this. I also need to check out that remote play. Sounds awesome.
You can definitely see the performance penalty is there when multitasking, the ps5 os must not be very well optimized for it. I say that because the hardware is definitely capable
The UI is really taxing it's unnecessarily flashy and complicated the system could really do so much more if Sony would scrap most of it and streamline the menus like Xbox does. That's why XSX can switch between 3 games at a time, mid session seamlessly. That and direct x 12 is just light-years beyond any software on the PS5. And I have a PS5 so this is coming from a PlayStation 5 gamer. Definitely thinking about getting an Xbox SX though
@Super Fun Stick the xbox can't run 3 games at a time because of the ui. Quick resume suspends the game it allocates basically nothing to the game because its sitting in a tiny space in your systems ram it's not because of the ui
For some reason camera invert did not carry over to MIIIW. Had to go in and set it in game even though the default on the console is inverted for both.
The HDMI link, also known as HDMI CEC, is not a new feature. The ps4 had it, and so did the ps3. So it really shouldn't be on the list as it is something a lot of people already know 😕

For the people that cant find ps5's, go to the register. They dont have them near display, just ask someone at the register. I did this and they said they had 11 ps5s left
You'd have figured all of this out on your own. At least I did in a matter of minutes after getting it set up. The only reason I'm here was to see if there's a way or accessory to get the temp and stuff because I'm a pc guy so I'd like to compare.
My advice on the memory, buy both... Loads of ps4 games and they now on a 4tb seagate but both my 5's now have 2tb Samsung internal storage... Definately need both 👍
You forgot something that should have been with the external slow drive section. You can transfer ps5 titles to an external to free up internal space but ps5 games can't run from it so the have to be transferred back if you want to play then
@Run Around only PlayStation 4 games can run off USB external drive. PS5 games can't playoff external drive they have to either be on the internal or the M.2 expandable storage
@Kris Hall I knew about PS4 being playable off of external drive and PS5 only usable as storage on it. But I could a sworn I heard the last update..a month or so ago that PS5 was now also playable off external drive. I have not checked myself to see if this is correct...actually I'm gonna look this up
External SSD is great and all and HDD for PS4 games is perfect but an external SSD for PS5 games only acts as a storage medium, you cant play games directly off of it. Honestly its probably better to have an internal OR just delete and re download games as needed. Its the same as copying from an external.
The transfer rate on USB is faster than network speeds so having the games downloaded makes the transfer of games faster and also not consume any network bandwidth
I have to imagine on a system a year old, these things will be trivial to even ever try and unplug and gamers will get used to wired controllers again.
There is a WD BLACK NVME that is about $109 USD with 7,000MB/S READ SPEEDS and I suggest everyone to buy that. Also, regarding the HDMI feature to turn on the TV and switch input. I have mine enabled but I realized that my smart TV had it’s similar feature disabled and you have to tweak in your smart TV’s settings to allow the PS5 to turn in the TV

I jut got my ps5 as a gift from my brother and I have had it 2 days and I really am impressed with it, the rumble sticks are just to bad ass, always felt the rumble was weak, not anymore! Thank you again Brah i can never say thank you enough. I use to be addicted to Hunter call of the wild now its a game called Way of the hunter, I swore I would never get rid of Call of the wild, and then you get your first kill and Call of the wild becomes history
@ilyMarkz like You can pair your PS4 controller with your phone or computer, it doesn't need to be a PS5 controller. The whole pressing triangle thing to get up to the top in menus, also works on PS4. The PS app works the same with PS4 as PS5. Video editing on PS4 is definitely a thing. You can extend/upgrade the storage of a PS4. All the controller settings can be change to save battery the same. HDMI device link works the same on PS4. Remote play also works great on PS4. Had to rewatch the video. 😅
I bought the FireCuda 1TB M.2 with heatsink at Walmart for $149 with tax. I put all of my PS5 games on that and then I use a 8TB FireCuda Gaming hub for all of my PS4 games and classics to be downloaded onto. Also, got that at Walmart for $150 after tax. I love my new PS5!!! I sure can tell the differeance when I am playing games on a 4K TV and using the 4K resolution.
It's actually pretty annoying, I too play inverted, my whole life. My wife and kids play normal, and they constantly ask me for help in games. I then have to struggle until I swap their controls, and they always yell at me to fix them back before I am done. #realworldproblems.

Yes. But one tip, if you're able to store your ps4 titles in ssd instead of hdd, then run faster and smoother too. Example, gtav on hdd loads to story after you see 90% on the bottom. On my ssd extension card inside, it loads fully on just 10% on screen. Much faster. Loads lobbies faster, loads garages faster etc., in Rocket League you join matches faster etc. Ssd benefits ps4 games just as much.
@Raaa_505 Digital and a couple of disc versions. A couple of weeks ago Valhalla started crashing after downloading the update. I wasn't that concerned at first. But the crashes started picking up frequency. Eventually it was unplayable. Deleted the game, started to re-download it. While it was downloading I had a go on Greedfall. That crashed. I was concerned now. I went through all ps5 games. All crashed. But the PS4 games don't. I've been playing PS4 version of Valhalla fine. Arranged for the console to go back. It's worked fine for 10 months. I wrongly assumed I was lucky enough to have a working machine!!!

Mine would crash playing warzone, graphics would begin to break down during online gameplay eventually leading it to crash and freeze. This would occur occasionally and was unpredictable and would ruin any session with friends making it impossible to be reliable. Finally my friends suggested sending it for warranty. After two walk through trouble shooting phone calls with playstation support without any success in fixing. They sent me a box to mail it in. Took maybe 2 weeks in total to get it back and its working perfectly,. So grateful to finally enjoy the ps5 as it should be. Check on warranty options before it's to late
My last console was a ps2 which I owned 15 or 16 years ago. I don't have it anymore since my mom sold it while I was away 😢 This year, I'm trying to save up and buy a ps5. 😊

What are you talking about? Your crazy if you think the PS5 isn't available for purchase on the market yet. They have been available on the market since November of 2020. They are even in stores now. I got mine last year in January of 2021 from GameStops online store.

Stumbled across and watched this whole video while contemplating getting an internal ssd after transferring Cold War for the hundredth time, 20 minutes to go still….
Oh well it won't bother me. You couldn't get me to unplug even when you had several hours of battery life from them. But I can see this becoming a major issue for most gamers who are used to having space from the TV and not being wired.
Another neat thing that people probably didn’t know if you Wait long enough over time just as I figured for the PS5 believe it or not the inside of the PS 5 parts hard drive come a bit more sharper meaning cooling fan is a bit better some parts are smaller and your PS5 stand is better compared to the first time you get one!! Fun fact! Lol
This is so confusing and makes no sense. How does your hard drive get "sharper"? And how would you know? Did you open it up while it was on and it cut you? Also the hard drive "getting sharper" has absolutely nothing to do with the cooling fans performance, it also dosent make any parts "smaller" either. Not to mention the PS5 doesn't have a hard drive, it has a Solid State Drive aka SSD.
I only didn't know about 1,3,4,8,11(don't need it though),15(so turning it on should turn on tv? Mine doesn't work;maybe not right tv), and 17. So 7 things. Thanks for the tips bro.👍
It depends how you turned off the tv last. If you fully turned it off with a switch or something it won’t work so make sure you turn off your tv with the remote
Beware that the HDMI port is very fragile on PS5. I am very careful with mine but have to disconnect it almost daily. It broke and I had to have it repaired yesterday for $120. It is a very common problem due to a cheap HDMI port. Thankfully the guy installed a better one.
just got mine today (bought from extremely sketchy dude online.no buyer protection. could have been 600 bucks down the drain with no recourse) . i got real lucky. tried astros playroom while system update was downloading and demon souls was installing...WOW.the haptic feedback is really indescribable until you feel it on your own skin. its insane. been 4 hours and i still couldnt put down the game. needless to say...i wont be leaving the house much this year lol
Now you have one, I can't recommend Returnal enough. I was on the fence with it but got it on Friday afternoon and haven't been able to put it down. Ratchet and Clank RA is also a really amazing game. The visuals are something else, and the gameplay is sublime. The haptics are used cleverly in both games, too. Not sure if you played Miles Morales on ps4, but the raytracing and haptic feedback make it a decent upgrade and may be worth another playthrough down the line if you already played it. If not, then no brainer to pick this game up too. Anyway, enjoy your PS5!
Dusty Jones-White Some games are definitely a bit hit and miss. I don't like it much in Demon's Souls either, and just turn it off. Thankfully though, most of the games I've played use it really well. It's definitely a great feature that sets it apart.
Can't wait till actual Ai like siri or alexa is put into a PlayStation, the one on PS5 is kinda basic, she has a limited array of commands you can use with voice commands but this does look promising as the feature says there's more to come. You know you can change the default stato of the mic in setting ? Set it to Mute and done.

Really hoping the rumors of the new Sony PlayStation handheld are true even more so that it's the Playstation phone that I personally have been speculating and spreading rumors about myself on the Internet lol honestly think the last handheld you guys did the battery life was so amazing that I honestly wouldn't change anything on it with the exception of adding the left and right trigger wish people known as L2 and R2 and making the analog sticks clickable where you can push the analog sticks in as a button press for games like Call of Duty that require this to Sprint forward during gameplay which is very useful but honestly those are the only things that I didn't notice that should be added to it other than that perfect 10/10 even without it perfect 10/10 I still think it's the best handheld that's ever been made and fax you could voice chat on the system itself remember while playing Killzone I was talking with all the players on their over Wi-Fi which is hilarious some of them were making fun of me but it's cool I'm not really that good at that game LOL I still had fun though that's the most important thing you guys are an amazing company when it comes to game development and Hardware development best computers in the world I think best sound equipment as well the best headphones in the world come from you guys as well

Had a ps5 for about 3 years and this is the best tips video i ever saw. I knew some of this of course, but surprisingly i never heard of maybe half of this and i switched my settings because it’s so useful. I loved this video you did so great.
Also Remote Play isn't just restricted to your local network, as long as the remote play device knows your ps5/ps4 you can log in via the web. Just remember about data usage and latency.

It should be noted that for the time played on the stats page, it's also recording time you may have the game running in the background or while it's suspended. So it's not exactly accurate...I usually have WAY more time played in something than the actual amount of time I put into it. Like recently it says I played Far Cry 6 for about 126 hours...it was probably half of that, but there was a lot of me pausing the game, it idling or even being suspended in rest mode and that ticker keeps going up.
Dear Lord, please don't ever put your ps5 in rest mode while a game is actually running.

@danbooke2001 The only issue id have doing that was on ps4 where the game would crash after a while of playing due to it being left open and on rest mode.
Been doing it on the ps5 recently and ive had no problems with any games crashing.

My favourite was finding out I can press triangle in the menu to go to settings icon. Scrolling all the way up was a nightmare until I watched this.

You can definitely see the performance penalty is there when multitasking, the ps5 os must not be very well optimized for it. I say that because the hardware is definitely capable
The UI is really taxing it's unnecessarily flashy and complicated the system could really do so much more if Sony would scrap most of it and streamline the menus like Xbox does. That's why XSX can switch between 3 games at a time, mid session seamlessly. That and direct x 12 is just light-years beyond any software on the PS5. And I have a PS5 so this is coming from a PlayStation 5 gamer. Definitely thinking about getting an Xbox SX though

@Super Fun Stick the xbox can't run 3 games at a time because of the ui. Quick resume suspends the game it allocates basically nothing to the game because its sitting in a tiny space in your systems ram it's not because of the ui

For some reason camera invert did not carry over to MIIIW. Had to go in and set it in game even though the default on the console is inverted for both.

The HDMI link, also known as HDMI CEC, is not a new feature. The ps4 had it, and so did the ps3. So it really shouldn't be on the list as it is something a lot of people already know 😕
watching youtube while playing is massive, I do this all the time but usually have my ipad to the side, but i’ve always wanted it as a small window alongside my gameplay because it’s easier to watch that way 😂

My advice on the memory, buy both... Loads of ps4 games and they now on a 4tb seagate but both my 5's now have 2tb Samsung internal storage... Definately need both 👍
You forgot something that should have been with the external slow drive section.
You can transfer ps5 titles to an external to free up internal space but ps5 games can't run from it so the have to be transferred back if you want to play then

@Run Around only PlayStation 4 games can run off USB external drive. PS5 games can't playoff external drive they have to either be on the internal or the M.2 expandable storage

But I could a sworn I heard the last update..a month or so ago that PS5 was now also playable off external drive. I have not checked myself to see if this is correct...actually I'm gonna look this up
External SSD is great and all and HDD for PS4 games is perfect but an external SSD for PS5 games only acts as a storage medium, you cant play games directly off of it. Honestly its probably better to have an internal OR just delete and re download games as needed. Its the same as copying from an external.
The transfer rate on USB is faster than network speeds so having the games downloaded makes the transfer of games faster and also not consume any network bandwidth
I have to imagine on a system a year old, these things will be trivial to even ever try and unplug and gamers will get used to wired controllers again.
There is a WD BLACK NVME that is about $109 USD with 7,000MB/S READ SPEEDS and I suggest everyone to buy that.
Also, regarding the HDMI feature to turn on the TV and switch input. I have mine enabled but I realized that my smart TV had it’s similar feature disabled and you have to tweak in your smart TV’s settings to allow the PS5 to turn in the TV

@ilyMarkz like You can pair your PS4 controller with your phone or computer, it doesn't need to be a PS5 controller. The whole pressing triangle thing to get up to the top in menus, also works on PS4. The PS app works the same with PS4 as PS5. Video editing on PS4 is definitely a thing. You can extend/upgrade the storage of a PS4. All the controller settings can be change to save battery the same. HDMI device link works the same on PS4. Remote play also works great on PS4. Had to rewatch the video. 😅

I bought the FireCuda 1TB M.2 with heatsink at Walmart for $149 with tax. I put all of my PS5 games on that and then I use a 8TB FireCuda Gaming hub for all of my PS4 games and classics to be downloaded onto. Also, got that at Walmart for $150 after tax. I love my new PS5!!! I sure can tell the differeance when I am playing games on a 4K TV and using the 4K resolution.

It's actually pretty annoying, I too play inverted, my whole life. My wife and kids play normal, and they constantly ask me for help in games. I then have to struggle until I swap their controls, and they always yell at me to fix them back before I am done.

Yes. But one tip, if you're able to store your ps4 titles in ssd instead of hdd, then run faster and smoother too. Example, gtav on hdd loads to story after you see 90% on the bottom. On my ssd extension card inside, it loads fully on just 10% on screen. Much faster. Loads lobbies faster, loads garages faster etc., in Rocket League you join matches faster etc. Ssd benefits ps4 games just as much.

@Raaa_505 Digital and a couple of disc versions. A couple of weeks ago Valhalla started crashing after downloading the update. I wasn't that concerned at first. But the crashes started picking up frequency. Eventually it was unplayable. Deleted the game, started to re-download it. While it was downloading I had a go on Greedfall. That crashed. I was concerned now. I went through all ps5 games. All crashed. But the PS4 games don't. I've been playing PS4 version of Valhalla fine. Arranged for the console to go back. It's worked fine for 10 months. I wrongly assumed I was lucky enough to have a working machine!!!

Mine would crash playing warzone, graphics would begin to break down during online gameplay eventually leading it to crash and freeze. This would occur occasionally and was unpredictable and would ruin any session with friends making it impossible to be reliable. Finally my friends suggested sending it for warranty. After two walk through trouble shooting phone calls with playstation support without any success in fixing. They sent me a box to mail it in. Took maybe 2 weeks in total to get it back and its working perfectly,. So grateful to finally enjoy the ps5 as it should be. Check on warranty options before it's to late

What are you talking about? Your crazy if you think the PS5 isn't available for purchase on the market yet. They have been available on the market since November of 2020. They are even in stores now. I got mine last year in January of 2021 from GameStops online store.

Stumbled across and watched this whole video while contemplating getting an internal ssd after transferring Cold War for the hundredth time, 20 minutes to go still….
Oh well it won't bother me. You couldn't get me to unplug even when you had several hours of battery life from them. But I can see this becoming a major issue for most gamers who are used to having space from the TV and not being wired.
Another neat thing that people probably didn’t know if you Wait long enough over time just as I figured for the PS5 believe it or not the inside of the PS 5 parts hard drive come a bit more sharper meaning cooling fan is a bit better some parts are smaller and your PS5 stand is better compared to the first time you get one!! Fun fact! Lol
This is so confusing and makes no sense. How does your hard drive get "sharper"? And how would you know? Did you open it up while it was on and it cut you? Also the hard drive "getting sharper" has absolutely nothing to do with the cooling fans performance, it also dosent make any parts "smaller" either.
Not to mention the PS5 doesn't have a hard drive, it has a Solid State Drive aka SSD.

I have the Sony Bravia A80J and if I hit the ps button to turn it on through the controller it turns the tv on and the Ps5 right away.
It depends how you turned off the tv last. If you fully turned it off with a switch or something it won’t work so make sure you turn off your tv with the remote

Beware that the HDMI port is very fragile on PS5. I am very careful with mine but have to disconnect it almost daily. It broke and I had to have it repaired yesterday for $120. It is a very common problem due to a cheap HDMI port. Thankfully the guy installed a better one.

just got mine today (bought from extremely sketchy dude online.no buyer protection. could have been 600 bucks down the drain with no recourse) . i got real lucky. tried astros playroom while system update was downloading and demon souls was installing...WOW.the haptic feedback is really indescribable until you feel it on your own skin. its insane. been 4 hours and i still couldnt put down the game. needless to say...i wont be leaving the house much this year lol

Now you have one, I can't recommend Returnal enough. I was on the fence with it but got it on Friday afternoon and haven't been able to put it down. Ratchet and Clank RA is also a really amazing game. The visuals are something else, and the gameplay is sublime. The haptics are used cleverly in both games, too.
Not sure if you played Miles Morales on ps4, but the raytracing and haptic feedback make it a decent upgrade and may be worth another playthrough down the line if you already played it. If not, then no brainer to pick this game up too.

Dusty Jones-White Some games are definitely a bit hit and miss. I don't like it much in Demon's Souls either, and just turn it off. Thankfully though, most of the games I've played use it really well. It's definitely a great feature that sets it apart.
Can't wait till actual Ai like siri or alexa is put into a PlayStation, the one on PS5 is kinda basic, she has a limited array of commands you can use with voice commands but this does look promising as the feature says there's more to come. Number 15 isn't a secret if the ps5 automatically has that option on at default. The moment you turn on your ps5 the tv turns on as well.
