    uM, AKtually... in 2004, if you asked a well-versed Starstonks barista (me) for a "macchiato" the recipe was "a double shot of espresso wtih a dollop of whole milk foam on top."
    the "Caramel Macchiato," according to starbucks CorpLore was "marked, as 'macchiato,' with ~caramel,~ much like the traditional two shots is 'marked' with foam." sacrilegious, nonetheless

    The bialetti doenst produce Espresso, only strong coffee. The pressure generated is way too low to produce real espresso.

    Starbucks does have an espresso macchiato, which is in fact, espresso with a dollop of foam on top, so yes, starbucks knows what a macchiato is.

    So... to be that guy. Starbucks actually does offer an Espresso Macchiato which is espresso with some milk foam on top.

    I work at starbucks and while the caramel macchiato is an uspide down latte with some minor changes, we do have an espresso macchiato. This is simply however many shots you want with foam on top.

    What Starbucks describes as a machiato is not technically wrong. Machiato just means stained. The Starbucks drinks are latte machiatos, which means milk stained with coffee --- steamed milk with some espresso poured in; the machiato made in the video is a cafe machiato, which is espresso stained with a bit of foam.     How about doing Billy's cookie dough from the grim adventures of Billy and Mandy episode: Billy's growth spout. Though you may have to substitute some of the ingredients; like the teenie weenies with Vienna sausages and cheese wiz for the pork wiz, and it’s probably better if you do it in a blender

    americano got its name from the french who watered down their coffee to better suit the American gi and in "honor" of them called it the americano.

    It's not a very "traditional" way to do it, but some of the best mocha cups I've ever had were from coffee shops who, instead of using milk + chocolate syrup, would instead simply make them using espresso and steamed chocolate milk. The resulting beverage feels richer, smoother and creamier. Worth a try!

    I have the Breville barista express also, it works GREAT for microfoam, you just need to steam the milk below the surface for a bit before raising the wand to the surface and stretching the milk. HMU if you need tips from a barista!

    idk how americans have their coffee but that cappuccino foam was wayyyy to much, imo you went down at the right time but pushed way too hard for the foam, you don't need that much foam!! Same with the latte, honestly it doesn't have to be arte latte but it should come up to the cup like it's a bubble going to burst. Honestly when you think about it a cappuccino is a latte just with chocolate on top, a mocha is a latte with chocolate in it, and a latte just has more milk than a flat white.

    Try turkish coffea, easy, good and you have a big taste range, just experiment with it. But you will have to grind the coffe finer

      nathan wackett but also he was steaming the milk wrong. He brought too much air into it and didn’t let it properly steam. You’re supposed to put air into it for 1-4 seconds, and then set the pitcher down to it can finish the milk. He kept bouncing it and didn’t let it sit. You’re also not supposed to let steamed milk sit because it clumps

    Hi Babish, I truly love this video as I'm fairly certain my bloodstream is 89% double espresso.
    I was curious, is there any chance we could see a Basics episode for carbon steel knives? I just picked one up for home/school and eventually work and I feel a sense of panic when looking it over for rust/patina. I'm sure I'm not the only viewer who has a carbon steel blade and I'm sure your humorous takes on cleaning/maintaining it might go over extremely well.
