--10:46 edit this video or pin a comment. You have it listed that Autobuild Cancel works on the current version despite vocally saying multiple times in the section that it is not.
Edit: Fairplay xD
Well, that’s one way to be pinned.
@Hadeks Marow Smant just hit you with that malicious compliance lmfao
Played 😅
Gottem
THE FACT THAT YOU CAN PUT GANON IN A LITTLE JAIL CELL MAKES THIS GAME THE BEST EVER MADE
ganondorf: stop putting me in gay baby jail
link: haha laser go whrrrr
So there's this little key off to the left side of your "a" key...
@Monkeh Gamingdeez nuts
enough, to the Box with you
@Baya Booz Wow, congrats, you can regurgitate an internet meme using the wrong context, making you the coolest kid in the comments section. You only would have been cooler if you said it in all caps with some eucalyptus
The fact he found another way to dupe bows when he was friggin around with link's model was honestly amazing
I mean the menu was kinda broken from all the zuggling so not that weird. Like totks version of menu overload
Honestpy
This games menu seems like it's just barely holding on lol
Menu overload bow duplication from Botw was rediscovered lol
You can dupe on a cave
this probably wont be seen but uh here time stamps
0:38 Fuse entanglement
1:10 spring boarding
2:08 Pellison dupe
2:40 Save Load dupe
3:32 Midair sorting dupe
4:18 Unload dupe
5:04 Arrow smuggling
6:16 Display dupe
7:15 Forced Blood Moon
8:16 Auotobuild cancel
13:48 Save losd dupe
14:07 WS
you're a saint
Thank you
Thanks
It was seen 178 Times atleast
@Twan Roeleveld fair assumption
putting ganondorf in bastard baby jail with unbreakable blocks has gotta be one of my favorite glitches. he just looks like a toddler throwing a tantrum lmao
I love this comment so much
Agreed! "bastard baby jail" is such an iconic turn of phrase, I don't even care if OP copied it from somewhere, I'm just glad to have it in my life 🤣
putting a character in gay baby jail is never not funny
BASTARD BABY JAIL PFFFF
BOTW:So you have to go to this specific spot and mash these buttons at this specific order and you MIGHT dupe the items
TOTK: Just press Y and B
and then theres that (did he call it zuggling?) that completely screws up the game, that was a pretty complicated series of button presses
@Kaejukayeah it’s called zuggling, and only god knows why
God I wish I'd known to disable auto-updates before 1.1.2! That glitch was SO easy!
@Micah Philson My mom was switching games and THOUGHT she had auto-update off, but she didn't 🙃
I haven’t had my switch off airplane mode since the shield-jump dupe was patched, so I’ve been living the high life over here
Regarding the Arrow Duping: While there may not be any arrow duplication, you can still duplicate gems like Diamonds to sell and then just buy more arrows from the shops.
WARNING! 1.2 is now released. Many of these glitches have been patched out.
The yiga hideout sells 40 arrows but you would also need to teleport away everytime to sleep and come back. It is a bit inconvenient but the time going back and forth does add up. Sadly, creating a campfire does not restock the arrow.
@Jon Q Can't put fish (or any "live" animal) on an arrow, so you can't do the fast dupe glitch in the current version for them.
I'm constantly maxed out on arrows without having duped anything I just break boxes and barrels where ever I see them lol. Arrows are way more abundant in totk than they were in botw.
@Lunk that would make sense though, considering theres only one type in this one
@Thomas Vailes Well yeah which is nice I had hundreds of the other arrows in botw but constantly ran out of the regular ones glad that isn't the case anymore.
TotK hasn't even been out for a month yet and people have already found tons of absolutely _insane_ glitches like these, I freaking love this community
ah yes
Beautiful
I LITERALLY CANNOT ESCAPE YOU
Whoops, we accidentally made it so you can fabricate diamonds out of thin air.
same though lmfao
Imagine how this game would've turned out without the additional year of polish~ This video would've been triple the length.
Pokemon SV but it's still better
@Someone 2biggest difference between Pokemon SV and TotK is TotK's glitches have mostly been item dupes and exploits involving the player's abilities. Things that usually only help the player when used properly.
In Pokemon SV there were so many visual bugs at launch, sequence breaks, and possibly game-breaking bugs that could absolutely ruin a playthrough.
They're definitely different. Especially because most of the TotK glitches came about from people messing around with their options rather than accidentally stumbling into them in normal gameplay.
It's still amazing how polished this game is compared to other Nintendo releases. You can tell how much love and care the Devs put into TOTK especially how they patched one of the dupe glitches within days.
Nintendo games are usually polished as hell though this isn't beyond others tbh
?? Nintendo’s number 1 calling card of its quality has always been the amount of polish that goes into these games. Play ocarina of time from 1996 and you’ll see the same thing, that’s why Nintendo games have aged so well
@ChadMuskaMMA Ironically, Oot is one of the most broken LoZ games ever made, It's just that a casual playthrough isn't likely to find any of the major game breaking shit
@Bubbly Dragon its the exact same with totk, most of the glitches wont ever be discovered in a normal setting. its only until the community has its eyes out to break the game as much as possible that all the bugs start coming out (which is what sets it apart of some of the switches most recent releases. aka pokemon SV). your point still stands, as oot was still broken in both versions, hell oot 3d used to be the most used gateway into getting a hacked 3ds
@Bubbly DragonOOT literally has ACE lmao
I would just like to mention that if you save before doing the blood moon glitch and then load the save while the game is lagging, the blood moon will still be forced and you won't waste any opals, arrows, or bow durability.
the fact that the game took this long to make and yet still has these bugs shows how many possibilities there are with this game, they must have never thought to try these specific things
Honestly, the best part about this game is that if you played the game normally without looking for glitches, this game works perfectly fine. But if you look for glitches, you GET glitches
And then you think about all of the things they did think to try, it's no wonder why it took so long
Glitches*
@MD24 Clips I mean if you do a big think, having "Versions" of console games rips the possibilities to do ever more complex systems wide open, precisely thanks to people like Smant or LetsGameItOut, i.e. more or less professional Gametesters who get paid in WR-Times and Internet Kudos and bring tons of work hours to the table. If you had to pay a team to do this you'd be limited by money, this way the community does all the work for free. The only compromise you have to make is that you know have to somewhat "care" about their verison of "fun", i.e. BotW was 1.6? When they stopped patching glitches on that to focus on the next game, which is then what Speedrunners can use as the final version, when in Theory you could craft a game to near perfection doing endless Support for it, but that'd also mean Speedruns are boring races doing everything as the DEVs intended - which Zelda since BotW is not about anymore in spirit.
@モニカ absolutely, glitches like this are what make games not only more fun, but much more interesting, it allows us insight into how the game works. I will say however some of the patches I feel were necessary like how people would dupe items or apply status effects on accident. It was just too easy to do
2:49 if you want to dupe a spear you watch 5 memories instead of 4 and if you want to dupe a claymore you have to watch 9 memories
Just something to keep in mind when duping
There's a faster way. When you throw there will be a throwing sound effect. You just need to go to the menu right before the sound effect even starts
@Sam ye but that is frame perfect and not as consistent, memory duping works 100% of the time
@Daefin It depends on the type of weapon. Frames on one handed is at the very beginning, which you need to be fast. Frames on two handed are a bit later which you need to delay a bit. You can easily get the timing with a few tries. I at least have been duplicating my weapons consistently.
@Sam its almost frame perfect tho. memory duping is easier
@Daefin Ultimately, the decision is yours. Personally, I find it tedious to repeatedly watch/skip the video. I often want to duplicate 5 weapons, which would require skipping 20 videos. For me, doing the frame-perfect throw and loading the save is easier and quicker- especially I consistently get it on my first attempt.
This game is honestly so much better when it has a lot of bugs. It makes it way more fun. It’s sad that some of the good ones are being patched
I've noticed that with a lot of open world games they're just better when they're buggy because it allows people to derive enjoyment from it in different ways
Honestly all glitches being ridiculous bs to activate will make speed runs so much funnier
B + Y glitch was so easy it was likely to accidentally happen, which is bad (in fact it did happen to smant on-stream when he was trying to do a no duping run)
i feel like the old versions should be downloadable, or add a seperate DLC pack (for veeery cheap) that adds all glitches back within a seperate safe file, like a "playground mode" or something
@Gay Jebus to be honest I feel like that is the case in every game as long as it isn't a bad glitch or a competitive player
Me who hasn’t finished the game:
“What normally happens in this fight, is ganon-“
AGGRESSIVELY REWINDS VIDEO
YOU CAN DO IT!!
Bold of you to even be here in the first place!
Yeah he shouldve put a spoiler warning, but thankfully i never even used any social media until i finished the game
8:37 i am still absolutely convinced you can get this to work with ANY npc that forces you to look off in some direction. If you can place it in a way that it obstructs your view the animation should remove the object just like it does here when they walk through it.
That animation where you look off in some direction also happens in cases besides talking to an npc, like when you are in a certain temple and the gate behind you closes. I tried putting springs where the gate was one time to try and hold it up, but they got removed and put on the other side of the gate.
I’m pretty sure it has to do with the NPC walking through the path of the object. I tried it with other NPCs that move the camera and couldn’t get it to work. Maybe there are some others that do a similar thing? Edit: nvm it’s those specific NPCs. There’s some code that the devs messed up, and it’s unique to them
Crazy how these glitches are more so manipulations and not game breaking or experience ruining glitches. Such a solid game with a crazy physics engine for new builds.
I love how most glitches in this game is just menuing just a little weird
i feel like recall launch deep (24:30) isn't actually a glitch, it's just a byproduct of how recall works. the rest are undoubtedly glitches though. thank you for this video! it was a delight
yeah thats why he said its more of an exploit than a glitch - they clearly never expected boomerangs to be fuzed but its just the game working as nintended
@Chris Hawkins Nintended is such a cool word
With how many crazy abilities that they gave us, does it surprise anyone that this game was torn apart on this level in record time? I'm just kind of shocked with where some parts of the game end up breaking like the clipping glitch but I can only imagine where this game will go a year or more from now
Holy shit! I guess I am the guy who sent the unbreakable block for Ganon! I am so hyped to be on your video!
Sorry for the pic isn’t showing the precise location and is in Chinese.
P.S. I am not the og discoverer! I only found the vid online and hope it helps your desperate run after you die to Ganon a lot! It did help :D
I thought somebody send it before me and watch the stream with slight sadness :D
Where's the block? And how to do the glitch?
@Jo Ol 12:49 is the location. It is not precisely a glitch but just a stone with unbreakable trait, which is quite abnormal. Combine two stone and save it in your blueprint, you can use four of it to trap Ganon or Lynel, they cant hurt you or escape.
Can you link the original video? Also I tested it with lynels and their shout breaks everything attached to the block is there a way to avoid this?
Last thing I was expecting from Zelda was particle-scale quantum entanglement
I think you can do the same ultrahand break with the 2 koroks. I had my vehicle despawn once through the little animation where the korok gets placed beside the other. I think this behaviour can be used for the other glitch aswell, but tests would be needed.
The quantum-entangled spring is so funny to me as a physics enthusiast. I'd never think of it as an analogy, but it's actually perfect. Kudos to whoever thought of that one.
I wonder if the weird ultrahand cart flying glitch is possible with the side quests with holding up Addison’s signs. After Addison secures the sign, the thing you built to hold it up is moved, so it could be possible that the object has the zero weight properties.
For the recall launch at the end the one thing I have done to make it slightly more consistent and give you much higher launch velocity is to jump right before it tries to fling you. You won't hit the "ceiling" and if you go into the skydive animation you'll go as high as the sky islands
Tobio's Hollow Chasm spot for item dupe has another glitch. If you stand at that spot when a Red Moon is about to spawn, before midnight, time goes by without the Red Moon spawning, but causes the Red Moon to spawn every following night after you go through midnight standing in that spot.
22:58 I love how he accidentally rediscovered menu overloading
If you are still in a version that has duplication, just remember you have to be in a state where attempting to hold the item will result in it falling to the floor, like shield surfing or gliding
So far, it seems you have to actively be looking for glitches to find them in this game. Which in my opinion makes it a properly finished game.
watching you do that new file glitch was actually terrifying
So fun fact, you can do the dupe using memories with all types of weapons! For one handed, it’s 4 memories, with spear, it’s 5 memories, and with two handed, it’s 9 memories!
The thing that I love is that these glitches don’t get in the way of someone trying to have a normal playthrough, it just makes the game more fun for people who want it.
You can do the throw dupe without memories, its just a little harder. Just throw the weapon and pause before link can grunt but after he starts the animation
It’s insane how quickly this man has his edited videos up…… like I watched part of the stream yesterday.
This ain’t the Bounce That Boi glitch we want, but the one we deserve
A lot of the stuff in this game was inspired by BotW jank, right? Just saying a Zonai surfboard or giving the Zonai sled surfboarding or skipping functions over water would be very cool
Hey small ant, I love your videos, and really learned about you through your platinum nuzlocke! Now I’m super into botw and totk and love you stuff
You would probably also like Pesky Plays and Quinbobin
I feel after all these glitches, the next zelda game is going to be much simpler, closer to it's roots xD
Another thing you can do for the blood moon glitch is save before doing the trick and in the timeframe when you have damn near negative frames load that save and you'll get a bloodmoon but lose no resources/durability
You could circumvent the limitation on the spring despawning by attaching a dragon part it has a despawn range of like 2000 meters
The rock octorock dupe is notable. Not the fastest, but it lets you duplicate any weapon bow or shield and get the octorock’s upgrade on BOTH the donor and duped item.
I learned about shield entanglement a couple of hours before this was uploaded. God, this game is a work of art!
There is (was?) a super easy way to dupe bows that I haven't seen anyone mention elsewhere, and I don't know if it has been patched out already, but it worked pretty simmilarly to the old item dupe by fusing them to the arrow. I stumbled upon it While trying to dupe items, so it went like this: Equip any bow, fuse a material(Maybe unnecesary? I've always done it, but that's a remnant of the Item duping origins, so might not be needed), open menu. Drop the equipped bow as well as a Second bow Without equiping it, then equip a third bow, which is the one you want to duplicate. Very quickly close and reopen the menu, and drop the equipped third bow. When you close the menu again, it'll say "You can't take that out here" and give you back the bow, but Also drop it on the ground. Can anyone confirm for me if it still works on the new version?
I kept my version on 1.1.0 and I'll keep it with diamond hands until Nintendo announces DLC of some kind. By then the duplication glitches pre 1.1.2 will probably no longer be useful to me as I'll likely have most if not all of the game completed by then (helped of course by the duplication glitches for time expediency)
They truly made trying to fully upgrade all outfit a nightmarish grind. Like you need 665 Amber on top of dozens of dragon parts per dragon. Just Dragon farming alone could be a week of nothing but that if you tried to not use the dupe of any kind. The worst part of being on 1.2 patch is that I can't easily get any fish or insects. I have to do those legit. Those darners and butterflies are gonna be a pain.
TOTK glitches are some of the most fun glitches that I've seen in a long time
Also you can use rock octoroks to dupe weapons if you recall the weapon RIGHT before it enters the mouth of the octorok, so then you should see one weapon/shield/bow get recalled and come back to link where he can grab it, AND you should see the octorok start the chewing animation like he has a weapon in his mouth, then you should be able to grab the recalled weapon, and grab the new duped weapon once he shoots it at you.
Damn bro really like these titles and after being subbed to you after 10 years, it's nice to know that you never lost your personality like 90% of other youtubers
The Riverside stable reaction of the parts reminds me of Addison's construction signs. If they are entangled or in the way enough when the sign falls over, your constructions are moved away to the side. Not sure if they end up in a similar state if you use a zonai cart, though
I think you could probably do that wacko boingo glitch at the hudson signpost guys as well, because he moves your objects when he puts his own supports on the sign
So far it has only worked with that one specific dialogue
6:17 here's a quick tip to make your life so much easier when using this dupe method. Attach the shock emitter to something like a cart and then stand the cart up against the wall. This keeps you from accidentally picking up the shock emitter
The throw glitch is faster if you pause immediately after throwing the weapon, and if you pause it both before link grunts, and after it leaves your inventory, the same glitch will occur. It also works with spears and two handed weapons
Regarding the Arrow Duping: While there may not be any arrow duplication, you can still duplicate gems like Diamonds to sell and then just buy more arrows from the shops.
I think there should be a cheese% run where you get the hateno cheese as fast as possible
Pre 1.02 you can dupe cave fish mushrooms and one more thing that I can't remember then trade a few of them to a lady in riot village for ten arrows each time if you dupe enough you can just spam A to get through the dialogue and continually get more and more arrows
Thank you for making some of the best content ever. Hope to see more great content in the future!
I told myself I wasn't going to use duplication until I 100%'d the game, but... I got caught up in the money, the power.
You can do the memory dupe with other types of weapons too but the amount of memories varies
Thank you so much for doing this! I’m just at the Octorock part on the master sword dupe atm, but it’s amazing!
I accidentally discovered that Blood Moon Glitch myself when I had created a lawn mower (I needed rice for Lurelin). The game was running at 5 fps because of all the epic grass cutting gameplay and boom I got a Blood Moon mid-afternoon. I thought at first it was because it was lagging and the game needed to re-load but I shrugged it off; funny to know that *IS* the reason it happened!
4:24 this is really hard to do with the duplex bow, and with a 3-burst sometimes bigger items won’t dupe as they smash into each other.
It’s best with a 5-shot bow. Take your linel bows to the rocktorocks.
I love the description of the buffed master sword at 18:03 "an unbreakable master sword that is about to break..."
Unbreakable yet about to break
Glitches are really the only thing that makes 100% actually doable in this game. Speaking of 100%.... I'm hyped 👀
If you do pellison duping it transfers the modifier to the shield you use
6:44 This could work as an earlygame dupe method, as some players want to dupe yet dont have tobios cavern unlocked, though terry town is pretty simple
Honestly TotK is so complex that i imagine Nintendo will just leave some of these glitches in, especially the ones that are hard to do, because the average player won't bother, but it adds entertainment value to watching speedruns, which is ultimately free advertisement. Win-win.
you clearly dont know nintendo
Has this many glitches already, not even that hard to find out, still a really great game. The glitches actually add to the game honestly.
You are my fav youtuber Tanner, you get me through every day, I just want to thank you.
same but reverse
@jdizzle ?
10:40 Pro Tip: If you use Ascend on the floating platform, the you will just glide across the sky and you also gain height just as fast as Wacko-Boingo, if not, faster.
Alternatively, If you use it in the ground and run into a slope, then you also slide into the air.
It's incredible funny how often streamers just duplicate items by accident
The great thing is that the developers probably know about half this stuff, but they decided not to patch it. Makes for a much better sandbox experience
I'm so glad I never update my games, I wanna try all of these
Edit: apparently chests can't be destroyed by Lynels/Ganon either. Not sure if it was some weird amibo chest or a regular one
I think metal chests are pretty much indestructible
Wooden chests do break yes. Tested it with the gloom sword.
But metallic shrine and amiibo chests are immune
The fact that TotK hasn’t even been out for a month and this video is already half as much as the Mario Odyssey one is WILD
16:13 also, whenever you’re playing casually, I recommend in the depths to try and look for pristine weapons
super cool idea for a mario mod based off the small mario one. mario starts at normal size and his size slowly decreases over time and at a certain point mario dies. there are ways to increase marios size (don't know specifically what but it could be getting hidden mushrooms etc). this could either be played as a sort of "last one alive wins" type scenario where they can kill each other by hitting each other and also grow in size that way or it could be done as a type of race as well. they could also potentially make a custom map with custom moons etc or some type of battle royale style map to play this in too. I haven't thought out too many specifics just thought to share the idea.
i think the old dupe glitch where it was literally 2 buttons was a bit too broken as someone could just do that randomly on accident, but I hope the other more complex glitches both dupe and non dupe arent hammered down to much. a lot of the glitches that need setup wont affect a normal casuals playthrough but add so much potential to speedruns and challenge runs that I would love to see and just give the game an extra bit of personality
the weightless cart thing is literally just like the nuts and bolts crate fly glitch
this game keeps giving me nostalgia for other games!!!!
Honestly... it's been a blast breaking TOTK.
Definitely a lot more fun than what BOTW gave us.
I legit thought the thumbnail was edited. I love these wacky glitches, especially the ones you won't just encounter on a regular playthrough.
The community will find glitches no matter how many updates Nintendo puts out, i’ll miss these original glitches though
I feel for the devs who spent a year polishing up and fixing bugs only to see the speedrunning community tear the game to shreds. There’s gonna be a lot of time spent on patches oof
Clarification: for the 388 damage MNF, the donor base weapon doesn't matter at all, you could use a branch and it wouldn't change anything, simply because the glitch doesn't transfer that data
Yup. Just make sure it’s +10 atk, 1 durability, and whatever fuse item you want.
I'm glad to see the bad piggies speedrun community is still alive
If you box up Ganon like that, could you do the NPC box rotation glitch and yeet him into non-existence?
Hey, for the spring one (0:57), I can get the spring to attach to my shield and spawn, but when I do a shield surf the original spring activates and my shield spring still disappears. What am I doing wrong?
Edit: Nevermind, I'm a silly goose who didn't realize I had to move away from the original spring after it's entangled before shield jumping. Been practicing for a half hour now and I feel like I can get it right every time now! 😁
2:55 there's actually another way same place, save your game before you do it then in the same place you're standing throw your weapon (idk if it has to be at the npc but I just do it for the memes) then right after you throw it you press start and load and you'll have a second weapon there. I've found that in order for it to work you have to throw the weapon and your goal is to not get any weapon throw sound then you know it's a success if you go in your inventory and it's not there
I knew that TotK had new physics that were like Garry's Mod, but I didn't expect them to port bunnyhopping and the /kill command as well...
Idk why but I feel like the spirit temple horseshoe blocks being unbreakable might be intentional. Like maybe they're made with especially strong Zonai light or something since they're only found there. I can see Aonuma putting that in on purpose expecting people to find it lmao
16:02 break a plain unfused royal guard's claymore one time in your save, then grab a pristine one from the depths, gives you several more points of damage.
I wish he would explain the zuggling more and how he got the msg not found to have almost broken and how that helps and how he gave it an attack up when the octorocks don't upgrade it
You can also clip through walls with autobuild cancelling a steering stick and then getting on it
Spring glitch is so busted tho, infinite bullet-time when fighting mini bosses.
I don’t know if this is a new glitch or not, but I picked up an item (i think it was a roasted nut or a berry) on the ground while spinning with a big sword. The hit box stayed out while the new item notification popped up and it shredded the white bokoblin’s health bar and shattered my weapon. I’m on the most current patch as of right now. I don’t know if it’s practical at all, but it was pretty cool completely and utterly executing a monster in 1 second.
Something cool is when you do the first glitch with the spring and instead of going away from the spring you shield surf next to it and you will use up the bounce. But then if you shield surf again it will be as if you are surfing up a slope and you will gain height
the weapon dupe glitch with the shock emitter you dont necessarily need the rubber armor. if you have it you can just use the lighting helm instead of the full armor
Link: spawns in new master sword that doesn't break
Zelda: am I a joke to you?
Glad I’m not too scared to watch a video like this because I finally beat the game
I wish you had shown the Motor glitch from the Gemimik shrine, it's so weird and great. You can smuggle the motor out of the Gemimik shrine by fusing it and detaching it at Pelison, then attaching something to the motor and pressing it into a floor, the motor and whatever attached just accelerates like crazy
I definitely did the wacko boingo glitch without the cut scene with a rocket and one of those big floating metal platforms, but it was an accident and I don't know specifically how I caused it. I did only go very far up with it (This was on version 1.1)
My favorite one is just the unbreakable master sword. You can finally feel like you're playing ocarina of time again.
