This song basically says that you are dealing with heartbreak and you are battling with yourself between seeking revenge and possibly doing something out of character and maybe one day regretting it versus trying to pray on the situation and receive comfort and healing from God to help you turn the other cheek and move forward with your life. I totally understand. I have been in that situation long ago.
