Such a beautiful kind man ❤
Brendan Fraser I’m sorry some of us didn’t realise what was happening i’ve enjoyed all your characters/films
your a talented actor & a sensitive kind soul 👏🤩👏
So funny 😆
@Repent and believe in Jesus Christ AMEN!
Repent to Jesus Christ “Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy.”
Psalms 47:1 NIV
J
Brendan Fraser is such a talent and pure soul. Blessed to have his films raise me and can't wait for the future.
+1 !
He got Oscar 😊
totally agree
@imm4xii129 in honesty that made me laughed
Cut*
Brendan is such a beautifully thoughtful and articulate person. He expresses himself so genuinely, so effortlessly - it's like spending time with an old friend. If I ever get to meet the man himself, I could die happy.
Salty Pearl
It's all an act.
The Whale feels like a deeply personal performance.
I'm just happy that Brendan is back doing what he loves, and that he's given the chance to.
He just channelled himself leaving his own wife and kids for a guy back in 2007.
This whole interview was about him, and all he could talk about was how good everyone else was. He’s such a good soul, I’m glad he’s finally getting the career he deserved
Where was his AIRHEADS commentary?
Old school proper decent gentleman 👌
He’s so genuine
@ledgy69 He didn't have important roles for over a decade because he was blacklisted in Hollywood. He also used to get just comedy and blockbuster roles which tend to not be very well regarded for awards. This is the first time people are taking him seriously.
What do you mean finally lol
My father was part of the crew working on the third mummy movie and he always praised Brendan Fraser and how down-to-earth he was. He's really happy to see him again on screen❤
Brendan Fraser made The Mummy films really stand out. Nobody could have done his role better. A perfect choice to be honest. I hope his comeback really allows him to shine again
@Stéphane Wantiez yes he did it
and the Oscar goes to... (I was so happy yesterday!)
He’s so charming and wholesome. Every interview I watch of him I can’t help but get a smile on my face
Totally, I’ve been smiling the whole time.
Can u pls draw him in his new movie, the whale? We need more representation of overweight guys, to show them they are still loved and worth loving ❤
@Nathan Iliescu to the Rescue 😆
I wish people would stop saying "wholesome" and get a larger vocabulary.
Watching the mummy is on of the first memories I have as a child. I love this man! The way he speaks so highly of his fellow actors and how he interprets each character he’s played..wow
Dude had just won an Oscar, respect 🫡✊
Woo! It's about time!
Fist bump 🤜💥🤛
We need to protect this man at all costs. He is the real deal. Humble, talented, funny, sweet, and puts everyone over himself. Amazing.
By God, there’s no word in the English language how excited I am to see this legend make a much deserved comeback! He’s been one of my favorite actors since I was a kid. Airheads, George of the Jungle, The Mummy and Journey to the Center of the Earth were my favorite movies of his when I was a kid!
Any mention of Airheads always gets an upvote!
"We can rock out after breakfast!"
His John Cleese impression is spot on. This guy is amazing. So happy he's back in the fold. Cinema needs him.
Came here to say just that. Love this guy.
That laugh just rung so true. It was perfect.
Brendan Fraser gives credit to everyone else, remembers everyone he worked with. He even remembers the elephant's name. The man is a national treasure.
Love him!!! The first movie I ever saw him in was Encino Man and I nearly died laughing throughout the entire thing 🤣
He is awesome!
World loved him even in remote corners of world knew the mummy actor even if they can't pronounce his name. He made an impact like Micheal Jackson and Stephen S. With Jurassic world did before the dawn of internet.
Facts 💯 I watched With Honors and School Ties on repeat when I was young
Not surprised he's such a genuine person.
@BuggyDClown Forget Ancient Egyptian God, he’s Odin himself.
My god, what an utterly gracious human being. It is so very rare to watch these types of things where the celebrity doesn't somehow put themselves front and centre, but in Brendan there isn't a hint of that, not a smidge! He simply exudes kindness, compassion and gratitude, as well as vulnerability. What a great example to us all. May all good things come your way Brendan, you so very much deserve them. xx
I still remember when i learned of Brendan's story with Hollywood.
It hurts because i don't think there's many people more genuine, good and caring than Brendan Fraser, and i hope he gets the recognition he deserves. He's more than earned it.
I grew up with the likes of George in the Jungle, the Mummy; Brendan Fraser is synonymous with my childhood. I really hope he gets the continued career he deserves. Love you man. :)
I am so happy for Brendan. Seriously. He was in such a dark place. I can't even imagine how much strength it took for him to make it through that time, but now he is finally able to live his life again without hate. I have heard nothing but nice things about him. He seems so humble and respects EVERYBODY that played a part in his career.
He always talks with such passion that makes me want to cry. He really loves his craft, if he didn't he would've had retired years ago, but instead he soldiered on no what what. Now the pay off came, and if there's a guy that deserved it, it's him. I'm almost sure thats gonna be a documentary about his second coming, it's the perfect comeback story.
I love how eloquently he speaks. The way he paints pictures with what he says and how each story is told in a unique way. He's so present in the moment - what a gem of a man. I absolutely love him!
1.1 M views in just 14 hours. For an actor who's not in the big screen for years, this just shows how much he is actually loved.
❤❤❤ He's so adorable
We missed him. He was a childhood hero on films.
Him and a young up and comer like the guy in Bones and all and the Netflix king movie(Timothee Charlemen) Or maybe with the new Spiderman, doing a new Mummy movie Will be awesome. Lets get him back into action comedys as the old man barely hanging on will be great.
@Will B
Nope, it's love.
I've been a fan of Brendan's for a long time, and it's a genuine pleasure to see him getting the kind of real respect he's always deserved.
I'm here 'cos I like the dude and I'm interested in what he has to say.
Maybe in the future you should stick to speaking for yourself, instead of making assumptions about what other people think?
he has been in movies in 2021, 2019, 2014, 2013. he never left, you just didn’t see him 😝 he said this himself in an interview a few weeks ago
Brendan’s Rick O’Connell character is such a iconic one .. he is so charismatic. ❤️
Brendan is a great actor. He is absolutely loveable. He was heartbreakingly gorgeous. He is so big hearted, humble, and amazingly talented. Love, love, love Brendan.
This is one of the best interviews I have ever seen.. and usually I can't sit through entire interviews. But this one is so special. This guy, he's so legendary and so humble at the same time. I hope he realizes how loved and appreciated he is by the generation that fell in love with his movies.
I just love how down to earth he is, how he speaks so highly of his fellow actors how they make the other actors better due to their acting. Just shows what a great person he is. None of this self centered attitude at all. Bravo to him. I have always liked him.
This man is perfection. He is so incredibly well-spoken. You can tell he truly means everything he says and he chooses his words so carefully. I love how supportive he is of his castmates and how he speaks so fondly of them.
Brendan is so kind. He spent the entire interview applauding others and mentioning their achievements. This man is just incredible and I hope he knows how unbelievably loved he is.
@naw dude you are right, the whole celebrity fetishism is insane. But with Brendan it's different. He is loved because most of us root for the underdog. We love him because we can see us in him.
I know we’re not counting, but +1
@Simonne possibly a bit too humble and a mix of low self-esteem
Couldn’t have said it better! He is truly such a humble loving kind person
Well said. Nothing to add. Thx
protect brendan at all costs. this sweet, lovable man. he is such a kind soul. i really hope he wins an oscar but even if he doesn't he's won everyone's hearts. ❤❤❤❤❤
Brendan has such a special place in my heart because of george of the jungle and the mummy movies. Seeing who he is as a person and not just an actor is beautiful. He is such a pure person and I strive for that.
Seeing him now doing interviews, being in movies again and winning awards just makes me so happy. God bless Brendan!!
It's so great to have him back, he made my childhood.
Seems like such a genuine guy who really respects the people he works with. Glad he is back getting to make films again
He's one of those rare actors that the entire internet will forever support, protect and cherish. He's endlessly humble and kind, very happy to see how everyone is towards him
@John Keennailed it
Keanu Reeves, Brendan Fraser, Mark Ruffalo and Paul Rudd are like the good guys next door everyone loves. The thing about Brendan is he starred in movies that everyone enjoy, regardless of age, gender and race. I remember the joy of watching George of the Jungle and the Mummy with my big family.
@J L Tell that to him after he gets his Oscar next month. Dare ya.
I love all of his movies, School Ties is one of my favorite.
@kusuma2664 I'd throw Tom Hanks and William Defoe in that bunch. Maybe Jack Black too!
The Mummy film series is what made me love Brendan. He's such a talented and down to earth actor.
His voice is somehow so rich with emotions, so vulnerable als if he has his heart in his mouth while he's speaking.
I sometimes got a little teary-eyed when he talked so full of excitment, so positiviely about others and all the things he loves and respects. So honest and pure.
I can only assume all this though :P since I don't know him but to me it really feels this way while listening and watching this video.
This guy is great. I could have watched another 20mins of him just reminiscing of his acting journey.
and now, he's an Oscar-winning legend. greatest comeback ever!
I’m go glad we got him back. I’m so happy that he is aware of how much his fans love him! I can’t help but smile watching him talk about his movies. He’s so cute about the scorpion king!
I met Brendan when I was working as a deckhand on a local tour boat. I ran into him at an island buffet. He had taken a private boat to the island, and out of the hundreds of passengers I had serviced that day, he was the only one to ask me how my day was going. What a guy.
Then you got off the bus
@Becky Parker it's an obvious lie
Wow, that's amazing.
Do you do tours of the poison swamp too, just asking for my Deku Scrub ? 👍
The interview was about him and he nonstop talking about everyone else but him. I love all of his movies and how sensational he was I those movies. His voice, his funny character, his action character, his amazing acting, it's just an absolute delight for us his fans to watch.
was soooo happy for Brendan to win an Oscar!! He’s always been crazy committed no matter what role
He was my favourite actor growing up and I'm so happy to see him back again. He is such a genuine and kind-hearted soul 🥰
This just makes my heart sing. Being born in 1990, Brendan Fraser was my very first crush and I used to watch his movies obsessively. And it was/is so lovely to realise that on top of his charm, humour and good looks he is a genuinely lovely man. I am so happy to see his resurgence after all the difficulties he faced ❤ (p.s his John Cleese impression was amazing haha)
I have not followed Brendan for a long time, but what an insight into his greatness, he deserved the Oscar, I just hope they find another movie worthy of him.
Only with Brendan do you get a synopsis of the contributions of everyone when you're interviewing him, about him. I love his appreciation of the team and the collective effort that makes a film. He's a good guy, and absolutely deserves the fame. The absolute passion he has for everything he does and positivity he has. It’s just a joy just to watch an interview like this.
Agreed
He's still in the Mummy Ride at universal studios Orlando which is awesome
Even when talking about his OSCAR WINNING performance, he still prefers to elevate those around him. I just don't have the words for how wholesome this man is.
Watching him acting in the movies he´s in, is just pure fun. This interview proofs a lot of the good things I was always thinking about him to be true. What a humble legend.
Interviews are a part of his job. He's still acting.
I have SUCH deep love in my heart for this man, and this interview just increased this ten fold! Thank you for that! 🌹
He is so appreciative of everyone he works with, directors, actors, crew. He is just a genuinely wonderful person.
Funny how he never gives credit to his documented stunt doubles.
I couldn't stop watching this vid. What he's made and gone through in life and came back to the spotlight is simply an achievement on its own, glad to see him return and outside of mummy movies my favourite one is "With honours" watch it and pick up a stone (u will understand)
The best thing that’s happened in the last 10 years has been Brendan Fraser coming back into the spotlight. This dude is the upper echelon, top tier if you will, of humanity. Even after everything he’s been through, he’s still this kind and humble. I think I can speak for everyone when I say, WE LOVE YOU MAN!
What has he been through?
Agreed
What has he been through?
i am so incredibly proud of him for winning that oscar, he truly deserved it
"The very place itself is an important character in the movie." I love that, such an insightful thing to say. The Mummy was hands down one of the best films of the 90s.
This man is the definition of humbleness! I'm so happy he is back! He's so endearing, so soft spoken. Like, the man irradiates such a peaceful mood.
Brendan Fraser is such a positive and kindhearted person. Despite everything hollywood put him through, he still focused on highlighting everyone's best attributes and looked back at things with gratitude. He's incredible
A person with a good heart will always see the goodness in others and it will reflect in his conversations. What a genuinely humble and honest guy is he. God bless
You can tell how much he identifies with his characters. He even had positive things to say about the CGI team for the scorpion king! What a class act.
@Mazter1veteran your comment did well… I guess you’re not as funny as you thought.
Yeah. You can really tell he identifies as a whale in the movie the whale
Seriously.
Grew up watching his films, still to this day is the reason I’m so in love with Egypt as a history and culture. I’m so glad to see his come back and him win an Oscar. Well deserved
I love him he is so talented and I missed him so good to have him back.
The way he is so humble and was sharing his love for all his friends are coworkers during 20minutes makes me love him even more! This man doesn’t wanna look like the main character he wants you to know how everyone else was amazing and he was just a part of it. Brendan Fraser is a beautiful human
he is so sweet and kind and such a good actor! I'm very excited to see him returning to the screens, I can't wait to see him acting again
Egg
He has 32 years of acting credits.
A really great actor, and underneath it all he is a genuine and gentle guy too. Deserves more roles as he brings so much to the table he can only complement any roles he graces. Heres hoping that we see a lot more of Brendon Fraser over the next few years.
Met him at a convention a few months back. Got his autograph and his assistants kept telling people to move along and not talk to him or ask him for a customized autograph. He listened to every person and customized every autograph if he was asked. He made eye contact with everyone and he was so appreciative of each person in line. Absolutely fantastic person.
Reminds me of Norman Reedus. He's another one that drives his handlers crazy with time consuming personal interactions with fans.
Fraser, The Big Fat Fraud Isn't the film based on a play? Feels like you're jumping to a lot of wild conclusions.
so hes not truly like David Kahlaikialaili then
Brendan Fraser is the most humble and talented actor I’ve ever seen. This is a rare combination and I wish him the best luck of the world, after all that he is been through! His newest movie the whale is so heartwarming.😢
Can we get Brendan and Keanu together?
He seems like such a good person. I'm so happy for his award 😊
This is the most charming human being on earth. Protect him at all costs.
One of the best actors and best men to ever grace the silver screen, I hope to see many more projects with him
Was really hoping to see him talk about Airheads...which remains one of my favorite movies with Brendan Fraser...but man is it so great to see this man back on press tours and back getting the recognition he deserves.
Check out his 1-on-1 with Adam Sandler.
They both take a trip down memory lane with that one 👍
This man was literally a pillar of my childhood. I had George of the Jungle and the 1st Mummy on repeat for YEARS. Glad he's getting the recognition he deserves!
Seriously! ON REPEAT!!
Don't forget Bedazzled!
Same 🥹
@Joan Rogan Trans Comedian yes, very memorable childhood movie for me
We sang the George of the Jungle song for years!
He seems like such a genuinely nice guy. The way he praised the people around him and describes how he's just happy to be part of it all, is really inspiring.
I love that one of my favorite childhood actors is also a very kind and humble, down to earth person 🥺 love him so much 💜
A great actor and we all hope his renaissance never ends !
so humble. so happy for his comeback.
Thank goodness he’s back. I’d missed seeing him in movies. He comes across as such a generous and humble guy. God bless him.
This man is a national treasure and deserves all the love, support, film roles, etc. I hope we get a Mummy 4 and takes us back to Egypt.
they could do a yugioh/jojo story
I’m sure like most people, I came here to say this. I’m so so happy to see him back and I can’t wait to watch the whale whenever it comes out. He deserves all the love and support in the world
@Mark Gundle Browncoats never die. We go to The Black and regroup.
@Justin Frazier I have that part all planned out too Xd now i just need to be a wealthy son of some hollywood big wig executive and maybe we can get this movie made lol.
Such a cool guy, I was honestly not prepared at all for how The Whale would make me feel. That was a very VERY powerful movie and message
Literally Charlie could only be played by Brendon. Like he did amazing portraying the character, all the actors were good but he was amazing. When the narration in the beginning started before the official view of Charlie, me and my friend heard Brendon's voice and no joke a huge wave of nostalgia hit is and we felt like little kids. Like we could believe just how much Brendon was entwined in our lives
it's crazy how much different he looks now. I get it, people get old and change, I know that I have. But I agree it's amazing to see how much he gives credit to everyone else.
Watching after he won the Oscar, so deserved after all injustices suffered in his career.
Bless this man. George of the jungle was my introduction to him, and what an awesome entrance!
It's awesome how much the internet loves Brendan Fraser. Dude just emits good vibes and makes you wanna smile. I'm glad he's back at it and making movies again. His range and talent are insane.
@EDGE Bad take and let me tell you why: You mentioning only the Mummy movies (probably his more Blockbuster films) already tells us that you havent seen his other better acting works. The Mummy films are easily the ones he required less acting skills, even as you can see in this interview (if you even finished the video, which I doubt judging by your comment), you could see he had not much to say acting-wise about the Mummy trilogy.
So in other words, you are clueless and you lack the knowledge to support your opinion (and if you do have something interesting to say, please be my guest and elaborate). Perhaps next time try to educate yourself more before commenting on something you don't know much about.
Also, using offending terms like "fat and old" and whatever edgy nonsense you could have came with, it is not going to make your comment any more believable.
@Thanos snap I'm watching Doom Patrol and it's good to see him in a role again
Brendan was one of my favorite action hero's, when I was growing up The Mummy was one of my favorite movies all because of Brendan's role as Rick O'Connell to see him on social media and even back in the movie industry is just mind blowingly awesome
To Brendan you're an amazing actor and I hope to see you in a new movie someday.
He’s so humble and down to earth. ❤❤ I have missed him and I’m so glad he’s back!
I saw The Whale recently and I practically cried through the whole movie. Fraser just plays Charlie so well and it its so painful.
He is a precious man. The Mummy is by far the best summer blockbuster ever. Aged beautifully and still is amazingggg
i love him so much. hes so humble. just a beautiful human being full of kindness.
Im really happy that he is back acting again and looking healthier. He deserves that
He just sounds so humble and so kind
Very nice
Very good
Happy
nice
What a great, likeable guy. Never seen much of his movies but he seems like such a genuine fella.
cannot put into words how happy i am for his oscar win. he deserved it so much.
What a guy. He’s so authentic and down to earth. This was a great interview. His body language changes through the video. You can tell that towards the end he gets excited again about returning to film. Especially when he asks if there was another script for another “Mummy” sequel.
What a special, humble guy. Recognizing others he's worked with and their achievements, while thinking he's just a regular guy amongst them. No Brendan. You are one of a kind.
I just love this guy! Genuinely happy for all the recognition he's getting again.
Brendan Fraser is a jewel we cannot let go. Keep him relevant. He gives us so many joy on the screen is beyond compare.
I really like Brenden Fraser, Keanu Reeves and Tom Hanks. All of these actors are so genuine and down to earth. I think more actors should be that way
@Grace Johanna they think kissing celebrity feet will get them likes.
whooooooooo cares
You guys are so dramatic it’s actually making me uncomfortable
This man deserved a 2nd chance and he needs to be treasured!!!
What an amazing actor and a wonderful man.
I'm extremely happy to see this man come back to the screen in the manner he did. Utterly amazing.
Bedazzled is so underrated, the acting he gives in that movie is superb too
When Brendan just remembers the people who worked with him and mentions them by name, shows he cares.
He's just a name dropper.
I love him so much 😭
Same 😭
Hey guy
Kurtis knows a good guy when he sees one
Love Kurtis forever staning this man!!
proud that our mayor has good taste
Love Brendan Fraser. His movies were fixtures during my childhood and to witness the reentry of his career into the spotlight is so gratifying. His humility, grace and pure talent is inspiring. Can't wait to see what magic he brings to his next project.
He is just so much fun to listen. Such a delightful person.
