That’s not really Trunks’ fighting style. In fact, barely anyone in Dragon Ball fights like that. In contrast, it’s Silver’s bread and butter.

14:08 I just realized when Silver threw his ring, he wasn't doing a cool, flashy attack. He was taking Trunks to an alternate time in the future/past, a time where the results of their battle wouldn't have a real consequence on anyone's existence.

@Donovan Hadley The logic in this videos is that the enemy dies, so Sonic wouldn't have dropped his guard until seeing proves of his winning. Also, he was Archie Sonic; he literally survived a reality rewriter event, and also rewrited it, and on more than one multiverse. That's way more than Wally has ever survived to, he only resisted to DC's multiverse being rewritten, not to Archie's and Megaman's infinite multiverses, the Chaos Force, the pocket zones and Spawn's. Sonic would have wiped out Wally with Chaos Control.
Not to mention that the Archie universe's super forms are BEYOND invincible. Like it says in the video, Super Sonic and Super Mega Man were completely unaffected by the Super Genesis Wave rewriting all of reality, even when it was rewriting the Chaos Emeralds and their power. So even erasing Super Silver from existence wasn't an option. But Trunks was OP enough to actually start breaking through for a moment.

I realised something today.
Trunks orginated in a Manga (a Japanese comic) but they went with the Video Game version of him
Silver originated in a Video Game but they went with the Comic version of him
because he is archie silver
@Vernam well they primarily used the video game version of Trunks cause that’s Trunks when he’s most experienced and at his most powerful state (SSG) if paid attention during the trunks section they did buff him using some of his Manga and Anime exclusive feats.

The irony of the phrase "it's hard to imagine Trunks losing to anyone," literally the only reason we know about him was because he lost to the androids, and most of the fights in his life he losses a lot- present 17 and 18, perfect cell, goku black etc.

@Kugrox what do you mean? he didn't beat dabura without training, he was training with the supreme kai to use the z sword instead of gohan and supreme kai dying triggered his super saiyan 2 form. then he killed dabura. pretty sure it played out the same way in super as it did in kakarot, just we never saw it.
can you really blame the kid, he's on his own as we have seen that even training alone will only get you so far, even Vegeta had to suck it up and be trained by some one. he's got no real help in his timeline.
Every single thing about this was jaw droppingly amazing. Despite how much Trunks loses and how much I love Silver, I fully expected Trunks to win from how DBZs power scales are stupid high now and Trunks seemed to have more feats. But I was surprised that the result was the opposite.

Goku Black's Kamehameha, Reverse Flash's "Sorry, was that important?", Vegeta's Final Flash, and Aquaman's final punch vs SpongeBob were also super good moments for the VAs

If you wanted to use Vegeta from Dragon Ball Super, Archie Shadow would be perfect (since being Super Shadow he is not only invincible and invulnerable with incalculable speed, he has resistance to Hakai, remembering that the Chaos Emeralds in Archie Comics do not allow you to erase or rewrite the presence of Super Sonic and Super MegaMan, same with Thor).
And even if Vegeta Ultra Ego were to steal energy from Shadow, it is recovered by Rings

The battle theme of this one, "Hedge of Tomorrow", is amazing. I saw this video when it first came out and was really into it but I don't know why it didn't occur to me to look for it at the time. The ending scene is awesome in a lot of ways. The amazing setting, the fact that they made it’s mo use sound cool. And i thought that making believe it sounding cool was impressive that was in another league, they showed off trunk’s power by catching the ki sword,and my favorite” this is it time hog…the end of your future.” Probably the second best ending in f the season. Only being beat by Thor vs vegeta

Here's what I *think* their logic behind Silver resisting the Keysword is.
The argument is that their powers SHOULD have been nullified when the Super Genesis Wave deleted their power source from existence.
Makes sense right? No power source to pull from, no powers. Your powers were nullified by deactivating the source of it, right? That didn't work though. The SGW erased the very power source SS and SM were pulling from and yet they kept their powers, the Chaos Force within their super forms simply. Didn't go away. It wasn't erased or wiped out until they powered down. So the argument boils down to this.
If you remove something's power source via erasure, nullifying what makes it powerful but that power keeps going, how do you nullfiy it? What does power nullifying do if not remove the source of someone's power from the equation?

@Patrick M "Gacha" is an onomatopoeia for the turning ratchet in those vending machines that dispense capsules containing little toys. It refers to games in which, like those vending machines, you have to repeatedly earn a random drop and hope it contains the particular character/item/etc you want (or pay real money for a premium drop that may contain a particular reward, either guaranteed or at a significantly higher probability of success). Several "gacha" games are notorious for the extremely low drop rates (single-digit percentage, or even a fraction of one percent) for the most sought-after unlockables. For example, Fate/Grand Order has a large variety of "Servant" characters with varying abilities and stats, and it can take several weeks'/months'/years' worth of random drops (or sometimes one or a small number of premium purchases bought with real money) to get the franchise's mascot characters or the game's final bosses.

Basically, Trunks had better specs, but Silver psychic powers were way better for time controlling things and reacting to what comes next.
This has to be one of my favourite finishes from this series, with Silver redoing that sword path, so it stabs Trunks who was the one who gave it the original path, so he was on the way. I honestly can't imagine nother way for Silver to defeat Trunks, and he could not let the fight go on much longer.

Honestly I fully expected Silver to lose. Trunks just sounds way cooler and more powerful than Silver, but when the difference is explained it seems pretty understandable why they came to that conclusion.

@Sketchy Dude this was the archie comics where the chaos emeralds work differntly then the games, they do pretty much the same things as the games and then some. archie chaos magic is busted. to an absurd degree. where starting to get a bit of it in the games(sonic frontiers starting this), where sonic made hard light construx to bash the titans with. and this is still minuscule compared to archie

The chaos emeralds could maybe destroy a planet, as seen in Sonic Unleashed
Meanwhile, characters like Goku could nearly destroy the universe 7 macrocosm universe just through the Shockwaves of his punches. And Trunks fights opponents far stronger than this, such as Super Saiyan Rose Goku Black in just his super Saiyan 2 form, Or even merged Zamasu, the same Zamasu who could hold his own against a super Saiyan blue Vegito.
He even outclasses him in speed, as while Silver could scale to sonic in his ability to outrun a black hole, Goku's Shockwaves were able to scatter across universe 7 in seconds. And in order to do that, you'd need to be punching way faster than light.
The only thing you could give Silver is his invincible super form, and Chaos Control. But neither actually give him a way to hurt Trunks, plus it's also likely he'd get blitzed before he can use them.
@Sketchy Dude yeah. I've come to understand that the first person to go all out is almost always the lower of the fight, since they went all out to beat the other fighter who wasn't.

A very Epic battle, this is how the two of them should fight, I didn't expect Silver to win the fight, given Silver's little story which resulted in no power development like becoming Hyper Silver
fun fact: when Trunks gets a pack mid fight and simply says "Good enough", after throwing the cards and only having two draws of Pan and GT Goku, if you look in the background and see Oolong fly back to earth as an answer to what his third pull was.

Funny one of the items in Silver's arsenal should be a Warp Ring. It's come up not just in the comics that were discussed during Silver's rundown, but also showed up in the two Sonic movies.

Trunks's last name isn’t Briefs. In fact most Dragon Ball characters including Trunks's family don’t have last names. Brief is Bulma's dad’s first name. Honestly I think Trunks's family should have a last name because of how important his family is to the dragon Ball world and story. The truth is Briefs as a last name was an English dub change.

In Asian cultures, you often have the family name first, and then the given name.

Changes are this Trunks in particular is the original out of all the ones we’ve seen. I know Chronoa wouldn’t just pick a random one out of all the possible time changers.

This Death Battle was awesome!😄🤩😎👌 And it was nice hearing Trunks and Silver hear their lines from their respective franchises! And if they after have a Shadow vs Vegeta rematch or have a fight between Goku vs Sonic, I know that the Sonic characters will win since they have better feats(for both the game universe and the Archie Comics)! And the next death happening, Ima pass and skip cuz of who Aquaman’s opponent is!
I honestly did not know silver could do all those things he did well I knew he was kind of powerful but seriously that was insane
I don't know much about DBZ so my opinion on trunks is open, and even though I don't know the deep lore of sonic, only playing the games, its really cool to see how powerful Silver was in this fight and the lore they described for him.
I'm overly impressed Trunks managed to damage and damn near kill Archie Silver. Dragonball are continuing to evolve can't wait till we see how much they can evolve the fact that there this powerful to give a fight like that to Silver is crazy Impressive. Don't worry my DragonBall brothers we are now being compared to the strongest in the Omniverse

If I had a nickel for everytime a Dragon Ball character called a Super form version of a Sonic character a rip off, I would have two nickels, which isn't a lot, but it's weird it happened twice.

I think Sonic is the only one we’ve seen using Ultra. But I think anyone is capable of it if they amass a large enough pool of energy to transform.
