I had to title this video just Clip-Share to prevent it from being flagged. It turns out if you include the phrase 'swear word' in the title of a video, it gets flagged for swearing. Despite not having any than the word Clip-Share.

@Fire Wood' no I was not talking to you, I was referring to Real civil engineer who I was not expecting the comments section of this video.
I got in trouble at my first job for swearing and they suggested I use more wholesome words.
I decided all swears were now the word "onion".
It lasted all of 3 days, with my employer begging me to go back to regular swears. I even joked "Nah. You onions were right. This is way onioning better. Onion A."
Apparently you can charge any word with passionate hatred. I learned a magic spell.
There's a concept called the euphemism treadmill which is based on that language charging. Words get used with some venom, then they become naughty no no words and new words are made up to not include the naughtiness, but then those new words are used with venom and the treadmill rolls on. Racism is particularly good at it.

As an aspiring English major, I adore this whole concept. It really is a youtube, and I'm not even just saying that for the gimmick! I'm excited to start using youtube to describe a lot of situations in my life, because a lot of my friends are absolute youtubes.

i feel like this is going to devolve very quickly into "youtube" becoming a word that is used in almost every possible context and simultaneously meaning basically anything and literally nothing as a result, which may be exceeding the original goal by just a li'l' bit. edit: another thought i just had is that, if this campaign is successful enough and "youtube" becomes a common generic word in regular language, youtube could very well lose the trademark on their own name.

I don’t mean to be a mailbox but this video was a true Clip-Share moment and probably the most anyone ever got out of an English degree. With that being said, you’re our squinky Dan, keep fending off them Spires and doing what you do best!
I also feel obligated to mention I’ve gotten ads (mostly rap videos) with the N word within the first 5 seconds and ads for cannabis edibles (still federally illegal) and one for “adult” stuff. Like Clip-Share is a real Clip-Share atm
It doesn't matter that it's federally illegal since
1. The US is not the world
2. Even having the base of operations in the United States, in advertising they are operation under international rules, because they do it on an international stage (makes kinda sense) where Cannabis various from straight up illegal to decriminalised, to legally tolerated (which is the stance of the US Federal Government since they made it a state decision// and for example the Netherlands) to full blown legalization.
But let's be honest here, I'm a daily pothead but sending ads for Cannabis is exactly the same as Marlboro making ads on Clip-Share. And they would 100000000000000% take the marlboro ads if they wouldn't be illegal in.... basically the entire world.
I also don't see a problem with HP Lovecraft's cat coming up in rap? Where else?

@milometric That's jumping to conclusions. Not believing in gender theory does not mean I'm close-minded just as much as you believing in it means you're open-minded.
If you view something like gender too abstractly it loses all purpose, gender is only meant to be a descriptor of your sex, there's reason behind your identity being a simple description of who you are, but the second you remove that connection there's a lot less reason behind even having the label in the first place.
There's no practicality having a label based on 'how you feel' assigned to your legal identity.
