No he used a screwdriver and Hammer to loosen the lock nut holding the adjustment nut, than used the tool for the adjustment nut,, do the same thing.. way easier then trying to use the tool and smashing your knuckles when it breaks loose Everytime....
I see you're using the proper tools to turn the nuts. I do the same too. It's like whoever designs these things never thought about doing adjustments w/o loosing skin and blood every time.
It would be cool to hang around your shop. Always got the good tunes playing. That hole wouldn't bother me considering what it'll look like after a day of riding.
Love when the suspension is tuned perfect makes it feel landing on a cloud compared to a solid rock nice megabomb head pipe to if that’s what their called I can’t remember lol
@M.V. Media still tho why drill holes in ur brand new fender when there tons of better options? I'd see the hole every day if it was my bike and be like damn it's not even from a crash or anything that's lame af. Just bc it's not a show bike doesn't mean you can't put in work to keep it as clean for as long as possible.
@Motorcycle Rebuilds The tool Jay used has a pin type thing that needs a hole to fit it into. Yes tape works good. My KTM actually cames from the factory with a small raised line on the outside of the fender for setting sag purposes (so the same spot, locationis used everytime). It cannot be seen if randomly looking at it.
@Jeremiah Woodruff I wouldn’t know. I have yet to ride every bike, and don’t get all my “facts” from magazine shootouts. If I was buying a new thumper I wouldn’t buy the Zook though. Probably the YZ
It’s only $135 on motosport This tool is for racers because they constantly have to adjust suspension settings. Also, the string isn’t holding down the suspension lol It’s measuring the distance for setting sag properly. This tool is awesome
Really sad thing in my country is that U can't buy an RMZ if I wanted to , we have none in our country and buying second hand is a pain because I have to import parts lol, but it's such a nice bike
You should just put a good alligator clip on tye end of that string so you're drilling holes in your bike. I know they're tiny but there's a better way
Love seeing c class warriors set there sag lol never set sag and never felt the need too it's a gimmick 🤣 if your a good rider it's not needed. Jus makes the bike feel a lil better
I used to tune suspensions as well, however I used a heavy duty paper clip instead of the hook t9 not have to drill the hole in the customers bikes, furthermore the hole or clip must be attached to the center of gravity, not the sides and also the sag is adjusted with the actual dude in full gear, not you pushing it down SMH
My 06 rm250 keeps losing the nitrogen. I’m curious if it’s hard to replace the shock seals for someone who’s never done it before ? I’m gonna need to adjust my sag too. My bike has way too much but it also has zero nitro in jt
High tech sag tool but uses a fkkn screwdriver and hammer to turn the adjustment nut🤦
No he used a screwdriver and Hammer to loosen the lock nut holding the adjustment nut, than used the tool for the adjustment nut,, do the same thing.. way easier then trying to use the tool and smashing your knuckles when it breaks loose Everytime....
@Freedom Fox well I fkkd up because I didn't watch the whole video.
@Freedom Fox thats why mechanics call it pulling wrenchs, not pushing wrenchs 😉
@Freedom Fox that's a dude. Not a she
Anyway he could use any bar with a flattened tip too not damage (cut) the adjusting nut.
After watching this, I realized I could make money posting videos of me taking out the trash .
Hell yeah! Drill a hole to use a tool that you likely won't use again. Ever think of tape?
That would require too much experience, of course so would adjusting by eye and feel 😂😂😂
Such a small hole get over it
You really think that tape is gonna hold the whole bike suspension down?
@DB_Spielt TV You really think that small hold is gonna hold the whole bike suspension down?
@USDMit didn’t rip out of the rear fender did it?
I am still waiting for him to fix that hole he just made.
That's another video 😂
Need to set sag wearing all your gear.
You know who this is trust me don’t need any pointers from anybody this is the god of fixing dirtbikes the Jon jones of fixing dirtbikes.
@CTS-Vsport_killa he obviously needs some pointers if he’s not setting sag with all gear on.🤷♂️
Correct and ride it a few minutes to get the suspension loosen up 👍🏻
Drilling holes in fender.... really😲... how about measuring tape🥴
@CTS-Vsport_killa who is this?
I see you're using the proper tools to turn the nuts.
I do the same too. It's like whoever designs these things never thought about doing adjustments w/o loosing skin and blood every time.
Good lookin bike, kickstart Kenny would be proud
What was the final static and rider sag?
Setting sag is the most underrated suspension tune a guy can do!!! When you do it and see the results, you’re like WHAT THAAA???
What does it do ?
😂😂😂😂😂🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘 id do it
@damonconnell4193 you know when you get on a bike and it sags down, they tighten so it doesn't do that
@David Wollmuth no lol
@Damon Connell it’s when your setting correct suspension damping and rebound according to riders weight and riding style.
Suzuki bikes still look amazing, even with almost 6 years of minimal updates!
Cool tool! need to get one.
It would be cool to hang around your shop. Always got the good tunes playing. That hole wouldn't bother me considering what it'll look like after a day of riding.
That’s added the the video lol
Для этого стоило сверлить пластик?
無須打孔破壞性的做法,用粘布粘上一只扣環就行。
Nice but a very expensive tool. KTM's come with a sag line on the fender as a raised line in the plastic fender.
Love when the suspension is tuned perfect makes it feel landing on a cloud compared to a solid rock nice megabomb head pipe to if that’s what their called I can’t remember lol
They got wrenches for that my guy. Those are aluminum soft alloy 😉
You're the best. Thank you for the content.
I need to set this on my scooter rear suspension
А без росверливания крыла никак?
X-Trig preload adjuster and a 8mm socket on a cordless drill.
Cost $175.00
Love the spanner 😂
Yup, pretty much impossible to use the damn thing with shock on bike.
My man.. keep up the good work!!
Don't they have rubber mounts that just clamp the fender instead of going full Ronnie mac every time u set ur sag?
‘Full Ronnie Mac’ dude, just drill a 2/3mm hole in the fender.
Your bike is a workhorse, not a showpony
ALWAYS! .......... go full Ronnie Mac.
Only if u don't set sag
People can set sag how they want but anyone worried about a 2/3mm hole in the fender has their priorities mixed up.
Yeah idk about drilling holes in what looked like new plastics
Dawg who tf actually cares? Especially if it’s practical
@alexdouglas7407 tape could have done the the same thing and is more practical because it's faster and no hole
Realistically you could get like a junk plastic if you cared about the hole just put the junk one on for sag, then reinstall
@jeremyborder9185 Yeah, if you had show plastics and riding plastics.
is the tire backwards on purpose?
They make tape measures and spanner wrenches.
Setting the sag, always!. I get it. How do you set the sag for the amount of balls the rider might have ?
I stay with the measure tape and spend the money on fuel instead. (Without drilling the fender)
Que sim da hora mam que som é esse ?
They do make a spanner wrench for that, but that’s probably out of your technical league, Forrest.
Should be in full riding gear
Pretty good. You should set sag standing on the pegs though, in full gear
I’ve never set up sag I’ve always just rode mx bikes without any dialling in and it seems to work fine for me
Bike looks so clean. I love the way Suzukis look. And turn.
Same here, best looking bikes in my opinion
It's a nice bike but i personally dont like the dunlop logo
Hasn’t been used , yet 😂
Worst in the industry now
@Jeremiah Woodruff I wouldn’t know. I have yet to ride every bike, and don’t get all my “facts” from magazine shootouts. If I was buying a new thumper I wouldn’t buy the Zook though. Probably the YZ
What about the static sag?
Sag king tool there! 🎉🎉
а делать отверстие в крыле- это точно единственный способ, чтобы временно закрепить тросик рулетки?
Did you set the sag with riders feet down because he rides with his feet on the ground at a set pressure? 😂
Love to see people actually adjusting their sag when they get a bike
Why?
Is that tyre on the right way?
Pneu trabalhando de forma incorreta ??
No era más sencillo usar una soporte para no perforar la salpicaderas guarda barros 😅
A true mechanic using the right tool for the job 🤦
U know they make a wrench to adjust the spring so u don't tear it up with a hammer
You always have to beat them loose before you use a SPANNER (that's the word you couldn't think of) wrench.
His bike his rules don’t be so invested lol
@jason21jburg People are weird🤷🏽♂️
Just want to let him know in case he didn't already
It’s his bike let ‘em do what he wants
Super preocupado con amortiguador, cuando la cadena está más seca q el desierto de Sáhara...😂
It’s only $135 on motosport
This tool is for racers because they constantly have to adjust suspension settings.
Also, the string isn’t holding down the suspension lol
It’s measuring the distance for setting sag properly.
This tool is awesome
Is this more of a trick for track or trail bikes?
I would drill the hole for the sag gage line up well into the fender so it wont split out causing a tear during a flip over backwards endo .
i wouldnt even drill a hole id just tape it lol
Backwards endo. Love it
Or super glue it🤔
@DEE SNUTZ or even just tie it to the frame
А спец. ключей для гаек амортизатора не встречали?))
Gotta put all your gear on .Everything.Even a backpack if that’s what you wear.
Furou a carenagem p medir. Gênio
You don't have to drill anything to set race sag a piece of tape and a tape measure does it all
O yeah well done mate. I think you did a good job?
Really sad thing in my country is that U can't buy an RMZ if I wanted to , we have none in our country and buying second hand is a pain because I have to import parts lol, but it's such a nice bike
Is this to adjust hight?
Just bought an 03 with a restyle kit! What graphics company did you use?
Decal Works of course--
Thanks for putting your videos to the public now love them
Don’t drill the plastic. Use the Power tape! Alpha Tauri also uses it in F1 for their Drs! 🤣🤣🤣
What year or year style plastics are those? They look sick
Email Jay. Contact info in About tab.
Guys aren't kidding about the reliability and looks , I'm mostly a Honda guy but my 09 LTR LE is a demon
Shouldn’t he be setting sag with all his riding gear on? Now with the extra weight your sag is too low
That's what I was thinking.
Жёсткость подвески настраивают ?
Such precision
No entiendo porq no usa herramientas específicas para ajuste d amortiguador :(
Nice piece of ductape would have work but pretty kool to see how pros do it
You should just put a good alligator clip on tye end of that string so you're drilling holes in your bike. I know they're tiny but there's a better way
With my luck I would buy that tool and it would be dead on the money perfect and it would be a huge waste of time 😂
Pure instinct
Isn't there a way to affix your tool to the bike without drilling a hole in the plastic?
Such a good looking bike
Air pressure?
That is a sweet tool!
yes it is --LOL
Everyone absolutely losing their shit about a pin size hole in the rear fender of a dirt bike
Is this just for dirtbikes important or also street bikes?
What rear tire is that?. looks like you get all the traction I need it
Dunlop Geomax Mx12
You can use tape but yeah, much better to drill hole :D
Love seeing c class warriors set there sag lol never set sag and never felt the need too it's a gimmick 🤣 if your a good rider it's not needed. Jus makes the bike feel a lil better
I recommend to use clip for measuring length next time.😎
How can anyone hate on those bikes? They’re so reliable
They're all pretty reliable nowadays. It's called general maintenance
@David Reimer yeah that’s true, Suzukis are just a low maintenance required bike though
@Ayden Rich they are all pretty similar
@Nalyd Now explain how...
So true. My 03 250 has been rock solid
Ponto de quebra relizado com sucesso..
What name of this Suzuki?
I just drill holes in it. Makes it lighter.
My 06 rm250 keeps losing the nitrogen. I’m curious if it’s hard to replace the shock seals for someone who’s never done it before ? I’m gonna need to adjust my sag too. My bike has way too much but it also has zero nitro in jt
Email Jay - contact info in About tab. Or link in Bio on Instagram.
Cool hack! thanks for your post.
Thanks I just learned something
Era necesario hacer agujero? Se podía pegar con cinta
I love drilling holes in my bike
Laurent bardeau !!!! Cest de la balle ce truc 😍
What cc and year
Mine 85cc 2003
Pretty sure pros put on all there gear to set sag... Just saying
Brutal adjustments. Hammer time.
Hammer time!! Lmao
Lol, did you really have to drill a hole in the plastic?
You can’t set sag without gear on 😅
You could have used a clip to hold string instead of a hole in the new plastics
No need to drill the plastics.
Invest in a spanner wrench the hammer and screwdriver aren't cutting it
Use the right tool for the suspension bro u bought the other gizmo thing 😅
Like a pro!
What about the flex of that plastic fender
